The Artemis Sanctuary of İnarası Cave (Burdur/Bucak)

İnarası is located within the borders of Taşyayla village in Bucak district of Burdur province. This place was discovered in 2008 by F. Gülşen from Burdur Museum, who went with the court committee to investigate the illegal excavation incident in İnarası; the registration efforts were completed in 2009, and the boundaries of the area were determined and added to the cultural inventory in 2014. The data obtained during the rescue excavations carried out in the cave, which was determined to be used as a sacred area and naos in 2016-2017, belong to the Late Neolithic Age and the Ottoman Period. One of the most striking issues in this study is the inscriptions. The first of the inscriptions is the one that documents that the sanctuary was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The second inscription, it is learned that it is not the name of the person who had votived, but the name of his father. In addition, it is suggested that a fragmentary inscription containing the letters MHTPI˂O may have been associated with Meter Oreia or Demeter. Another important subject of the study is the architectural elements that provide important clues regarding the restitution of the two facade arrangements of the sanctuary. It is known that in the Anatolian theological tradition, the continuity of the cult was ensured by the identification of the Mother Goddess with the belief in Ephesian Artemis. For this reason, the presence of worship areas related to the Mother Goddess on the main rock surrounding the sacred area in İnarası and on the hill to the north, and the construction of the Artemis sacred area in the same region later, are important evidence of the continuity of the cult.

CULTURAL DETERMINANTS OF LEADERSHIP IN ORGANIZATIONS

This article explores how cultural factors shape leadership in organizations. The aim of the article is to show the cultural determinants in the organization by presenting the changes which have taken place in understanding the essence of leadership, taking into account the close historical perspective and research presenting a new perspective on the subject of leadership in the context of technological changes and related changes in the worldview. It also allows us to point out certain implications for business practice, mainly concerning the shaping of leaders' attitudes, organizational cultures and directions for the development of desirable leadership attitudes in the cultural context. The article was prepared on the basis of studies of the literature on the subject and available research in this area. The research employs various methods, including literature reviews, analyses of empirical studies, with particular emphasis on the Organizational Culture Inventory (OCI) and Deloitte's report on contemporary management trends. In conclusion, leadership significantly influences organizational culture, reflecting leaders' value, approaches and shaping the organization's norms, values, and employee engagement. Building a culture aligned with strategic objectives is crucial, and leaders should identify and implement cultural elements which support adaptability and engagement, ultimately contributing to the organization's efficiency.

Legal Protection Prospects Traditional Cultural Expression of Lampung

The protection of intangible cultural goods, such as oral traditions, is a source of tension between industrialized and developing nations. Many advanced nations argue that culture emerges in the absence of restrictions on normative forms of expression. Using normative approaches, this study examines the current state of traditional cultural expressions in Indonesia and their potential for legal protection in Lampung. The Heritage Law and the Copyright Law both place the onus on regional and municipal governments to conduct cultural inventory, recordings, and documentation to preserve Indonesia's rich cultural heritage. Traditional cultural manifestations in Indonesia are not now protected by a government-enacted statute. Lampung Province is home to a wealth of intangible and tangible cultural expressions that deserve legal protection. Such expressions could be safeguarded by provincial, regional, and municipal regulations that establish a hierarchical framework for protecting Lampung's traditional cultural expressions following the Copyright Law. To prevent other countries from readily claiming their intellectual assets, the Provincial Government of Lampung must work with the community, local government, and the central government to establish regional legislation to protect traditional cultural manifestations.

Inventarisasi Kearifan Lokal Ghatib Beghanyut Masyarakat Siak Sri Indrapura

The tradition of rejecting reinforcements for the Siak community and an intangible cultural heritage that needs to be preserved by taking an inventory. This research aims to discover local wisdom regarding the Ghatib Beghanyut tradition in Siak Sri Indrapura. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive. The technique of collecting data in this research is by conducting interviews, observing, and conducting literature studies. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Historically, this tradition has existed since the XII Sultan of Siak; 2) Conceptually, this tradition is a regeneration activity through knowledge transfer, the actualization of religious values, ongoing activities, and their implementation of every Safar month between the 7th, 8th, 9th or 22nd, 23rd, 24th. This is adjusted to the low tide of the river. 3) The Ghalib Beghanyut tradition has undergone several location changes and has additional agendas, such as grave pilgrimages. This research concludes that cultural inventory is significant to be carried out as a form of cultural preservation and can make young people aware of the importance of maintaining and using existing culture in the future.

An Evaluation on the General Framework of Master's Theses on 'Alevism' Produced in Theology Faculties

The issue of Alevism, in terms of its religious-social and political contexts, is one of the most topical issues in Turkey. Its historical roots, cultural heritage, and positioning in the religious sphere have led Alevism to be handled with intense sociological baggage from past to present. In addition, being at the center of politics, its social dimensions and social memory have added many different aspects to the subject. All these aspects can be counted among the main reasons why Alevism has become a subject that is sometimes tired of interpretation and analysis. Looking at the chronological background of the debate, it is noteworthy that interpretations of the historical origins of Alevism vary. Current approaches to the subject have brought about new terminologies and searches for Alevism in the process of modernization. Within the modern socio-political framework, different forms of discourse on the traditional structure of Alevism have diverged from the main issue as sub-issues and gained new contexts. In this study, among this diversity of approaches to Alevism, a general framework of postgraduate studies on "Alevis" and "Alevism" in the theology academy, an important field in determining the basic discussion framework of the subject in Turkey, has been revealed. The primary purpose of the study is to present a framework view of Alevis as a category that emerged as an important identity area on the axis of religion-culture and has not lost its topicality in the identity debates in Turkey; the intensity of being on the agenda in the Theology academy, the language thresholds that emerged at the point of focusing on the subject, and the dimensions of the fundamental problem that are related to the subject matter of the basic problem tried to be solved through postgraduate theses (master's degree). In this context, statistical data on the subject was obtained by scanning the master's theses on "Alevis" and "Alevism" in different disciplines in Turkish Theology between 2000 and 2022 and registered in the thesis database of YÖK. The searches were made within the framework of basic concepts such as 'Alevi, Alevis, Alevism, Bektashi, Bektashis, Bektashism, Tahtacı, Cem, Dede, Semah, Musahip, and Opening' and it was tried to reach all thesis documents registered in the system. Doctoral dissertations were excluded because they exceeded the limits of this study. The theses were not analyzed in terms of content, but only in terms of their "problematization of Alevism and problematization of the issue", which would allow for deepening the interpretation and evaluation of the statistical data. As a result of the study, it is noteworthy that there is a current interest in the issue of Alevism in the theology academy in Turkey, and the number of theses written in different disciplines on the subject has attracted attention. However, this interest is generally focused on the cultural inventory of the issue. It is understood that there is a need for more studies on how the issue finds a place in the functioning of daily life in terms of social typologies and identities. Indeed, considering the identity dimension of the Alevism issue and its topicality, it can be stated that these studies can be effective in producing a deep academic perspective on the issue. In addition, it has also been determined that this perspective can be functional in addressing the seemingly complex aspects of the issue in the social plan that need to be analyzed.

“Cultural inventories”: How dimensions of national culture moderate the effect of demand unpredictability on firm-level inventories

While national culture has been recognized as an important driver of business decisions, our understanding of its effects on firm-level inventories is limited. In this paper, we argue that the national culture dimensions of uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation influence biases and behaviors that affect how managers make inventory decisions in light of demand unpredictability. These dimensions of national culture thereby explain variations in the strength of the demand unpredictability-inventory relationship at the firm level. Using a dataset of 9127 firm-year observations from 25 countries and 20 manufacturing industries between 2006 and 2019, we find that the positive effect of demand unpredictability on inventories is augmented in high uncertainty avoidance cultures and weakened in long-term oriented cultures. These results are consistent with the notion that demand unpredictability is differentially interpreted across national cultures, thus explaining variations in firms’ inventory levels beyond what can be predicted by traditional inventory theory models. Implications for future research and managerial practice are discussed.

3D Modeling of Cultural Heritage Artifacts within the Boundaries of the Malazgirt District as part of the Identification, Historical, and Archaeological Surface Survey of the Malazgirt Battlefield: A Cultural Inventory Study

Bu çalışmada, Malazgirt Savaş Alanının Tespiti, Tarihi ve Arkeolojik Yüzey Araştırması projesi kapsamında Malazgirt ilçe sınırları içerisinde yer alan kültürel miras eserlerinin, korunması ve yönetimi için kültür envanteri oluşturulması kapsamında kültürel miras eserlerin 3B modellerinin insansız hava araçları ile oluşturulma potansiyeli irdelenmektedir. İnsansız hava araçları ile bir objeye ait farklı formatlarda (jpg, tıff, png, raw) dijital görüntüler çekilebilir. Bu sayede verilerin depolanması, Web üzerinden paylaşılması, farklı yazılımlarla işlenmesi ve kullanımı kolaylaşır. İHA’lar uzaktan kontrol edilerek ya da önceden planlanmış rotalar üzerinden uçarak (otonom) yüksek çözünürlüklü kameralar, sensörler ve diğer veri toplama araçları ile donatılarak, küçük ve zor arazi koşullarında uçabilir, düşük maliyetlerle detaylı görüntüler, videolar ve diğer veriler elde edilebilir. Anadolu’da yaşayan insanlar için ortak belleğin oluşturulması ve bu bilincin gelecek nesillere aktarılmasında ilçe sınırları içerinde yer alan kültürel miras özelliğine sahip eserlerin korunması ayrı bir öneme sahiptir. Malazgirt gibi ekonomik olanakların sınırlı olduğu bir coğrafyada kültürel miras özelliğine sahip bu eserlerin kültür turizm amaçlı kullanımı ilçeye ekonomik anlamda önemli katkı sağlayabilir.

Strategy for Promoting Culture in Encouraging Regional Development in North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to map potential, develop strategies, and objects to develop action plans for promoting culture in encouraging regional development in North Konawe Regency. This research was conducted in North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, literature studies, document studies, and observations. Data analysis was performed using domain and taxonomy techniques. The results of the study show First, the mapping of 10 objects of cultural promotion in North Konawe, including: manuscripts, oral traditions, customs, rites, traditional knowledge, traditional technology, arts, languages, games, traditional sports and cultural heritage. Second, the strategy for promoting culture is carried out covering the short term, medium term and long term. (1) Short term, includes; strengthening the capacity of traditional institutions, inventorying cultural potential, encouraging cultural attractions, developing cultural inventory, strengthening community capacity. (2) the medium term includes; renovation of cultural sites, development of cross-regional institutions, integration of local culture into the formal education curriculum, development of cultural development buffer zone areas. (3) Long term, including socialization of culture to the community, strengthening of tangible and intangible culture. Third, the action plan for promoting culture, includes: institutionalizing cultural weeks, through knowledge transfer, increasing cultural diplomacy, building cultural heritage innovation centers in each sub-district, involving cultural actors in tourism policies and functioning public assets as centers of cultural expression activities.

People of several aboriginal archaeological cultures populated the northern part of the foreststeppe zone of the Southern Trans-Urals in the Early Iron Age. Several accidental archaeological finds of bronze items come from this region. They are featured with the traditional animal style of the early nomads of Eurasia. A plaque depicts a predator crouching to the ground with the head of a ram in its mouth grabbing the muzzle. The plaque was found on a plowed field in the Karpino tract. It renders the scene of herbivore being tormented by a predator. This sort of image is popular in the Scytho-Siberian animal style. Another two bronze plaques were found on the top of the hill, Mount Sovinaya. The plaques refer to an elk’s head and face. Both plaques depict the head of a male elk with large antlers and protruding ears. It should be noted that the elk’s head on the plaques is not proportioned. It is shorter and wider unlike real animal and more reminiscent of the head of a bull or a cow. There are two longitudinal loops on the reverse side of the plaques. The plaques from Mount Sovinaya are completely original and have no equivalents among the monuments of the Scythian-Siberian animal style. It should be noted there is no image of an elk in the art of the nomads of the Lower Volga region and the Southern Urals. The presented plaques from accidental finds characterize the original art of the Trans-Ural forest-steppe tribes. According to the author, this art developed under the direct influence of the art of the nomads of the Eurasia steppe zone. On the contrary, a figurine of a stylized bird (“bird-shaped idol”) found near Lake Saygerly is one of the most striking categories of inventory of the Itkul archaeological culture.

Edutainment, Gamification and Nutritional Education: An Analysis of Its Relationship With The Perception of Organizational Culture in Primary Education

The application of edutainment and gamification resources as complementary methodologies allows to reinforce and facilitate the internalization of learning, although there are hardly any studies that relate its use to the organizational culture of educational establishments. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of the Foodball gamification program, applied to nutritional education as a strategy for innovation and learning and, specifically, its relationship with the teacher perception of organizational culture in education. A transversal methodology was used with students between 7 and 10 years old ( n = 185), and teachers ( n = 55) from 14 public primary schools in Rome and Ostia (Italy). Ad hoc assessment scales and the Organizational Culture Inventory (OCI) were used in the collection of information. For the analysis of the data, descriptive and inferential tests were carried out. The results associate the potential of these resources with an active participation and motivation in the learning process, as well as with the internalization of the information. Likewise, the teachers who participated in the educational entertainment crossmedia format obtained higher scores in the perception of the organizational culture, revealing significant differences according to gender and the acceptance of error as a unit value, and age with the perception of innovation. It is concluded in the need to deepen in these results through the design of longitudinal studies on the use of gamification resources and its effective incidence in the organizational culture.

Cultural Relations Among Speakers of South Halmahera Languages

This study aimed to examine the cultural relationships between languages in Buli, East Makian, Gane, Gebe, Maba, Patani, and Sawai in South Halmahera, Indonesia. It portrayed the cultural relationships between the people from the regions speaking the South Halmahera languages. Furthermore, the cultural inventory was created and explained using qualitative and the 'wörter und sachen' methods. The findings showed a cultural tie between South Halmahera speakers living close to the language heartland. Those living away from their origin are related to different languages and cultures. The connections have resulted in lexical borrowings, syntactical alterations, as well as language and cultural divergences that cause language diversities.

The story of Karaz: A brief history of the research, and an understanding of the process of the Kura-Araxes culture in the Erzurum Highlands

The Kura-Araxean culture, which roughly characterizes the EBA period of the mountainous belt between the Taurus Mountains and the Caucasus, draws attention primarily with its geographical and chronological size. This cultural phenomenon, which has been influential in most of the Near Eastern geography for a long time, has been a subject that has been studied extensively by archaeologists and historians. Archaeological traces of this culture, which transcends today’s political borders, have been detected in the territory of almost more than ten countries. In this respect, culture has an important place in the cultural inventory and heritage of the Caucasus and related countries. Its geographical and chronological size is the source of both the richness and problems of this cultural phenomenon. These problems range from terminology to chronology. For example, in terms of terminology, culture has been called by different names in each region, depending on the regional dynamics throughout the research history of that region. A remarkable example in this regard is the name ‘Karaz’, which was given to the culture with the early researches in the Eastern Anatolian plateau, which is also the subject of this article. This article aims to tell a story of the ‘Karaz Culture’, from its emergence to its intelligibility, that is, its long journey.

Identifying an Organizational Culture Model/Framework for an Effective Approach to Quality Management: a Comprehensive Literature Review

Quality management (QM) is not a new concept, nor is it a collection of processes or practices. Nonetheless, with rapid global changes across industries and markets, effective QM practices are more important than ever. Implementing QM practices in any company or company cannot happen separately from the organizational culture of the company or company. The competitive values framework (CVF), the Denison model, the organizational culture inventory (OCI), and the organizational culture profile are the most popular models and frameworks for addressing organizational culture (OCP). Many researchers find it difficult to decide which model/framework to apply when studying organizational culture. This paper provides a comprehensive literature review on each of these models/frameworks based on Boolean search results. This allows research to compare and contrast each, resulting in a set of recommendations and future directions for researchers in this field

ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE OF NON-FRANCHISE LOCAL COFFEE SHOP AS A FORM OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR MILENIALS

The increasing number of non-franchise local coffee shops is a good sign for the social entrepreneurship sector. Their endeavor in opening jobs opportunity and improving social welfare are highly respected. During the Covid-19 pandemic, various non-franchise local coffee shops tried to maintain their business sustainability. Knowing the organizational culture could be one of them. In this study, the Organizational culture of non-franchise local coffee shops has measured by the Organization Culture Inventory (OCI) instrument, which involved 43 millennial employees and three owners of seven MSMEs of local non-franchise coffee shops in Bandung, West Java. The results indicate that generally, non-franchise local coffee shops in Bandung has dominated by the Constructive dimension which consists of the following aspects: Humanistic/Encouraging = 82.3%; Affiliative = 83.5%; Achievement = 79.9% and Self-Actualizing = 75.1%. The statement indicates that the various non-franchise coffee shops support each employee to interact with each other, both among employees and the customers as well. In completing their tasks, they prioritize a mutual assistance approach that somehow could support employees' enthusiasm and self-actualization at work.

Jambi Malay Dance Fashion Aesthetics

This research aimed to know the concept of dress aesthetics and art of traditional and creative dance of Jambi Malay, and dress development of Jambi Malay dance could be seen from a dress of traditional dance, creative dance, and contemporary dance. The research result was expected to be one of Jambi Malay culture inventory in social science. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a symbolic interaction approach. The background of the people of Jambi city which is multicultural makes Jambi city rich in cultural diversity, one of which is dance. Dance dress is included as an important element in dance performance. Dance dress is a symbol of aesthetics and artistry in dance performances. The dress wisdom of Malay dance is not separated from aesthetic and artistic concepts based on concepts of custom and Islam. The concept is based on message of Jambi culture, “adat bersendikan syarak, syarak bersendikan kitabullah, syarak mengato adat memakai”. The research conclusion is that the ideal dress aesthetically according to Jambi Malay tradition after converting to Islam is a dress that covers the genitals. Artistically it is the dress that is lost when moving, with not too much design based on Islamic custom and law while color is usually natural color and adapted.

Cultural Nexus Between School and Community

Culture and education are inseparable as they are simply two sides of the same coin. In this context, this study focuses to explain how does culture work in schooling of Nepal. In so doing, interpretive research design has been used to determine the relationship between schooling and culture, with the experiences of secondary level teacher. Purposive sampling technique has used to select sample population and schooling inventory practice and culture inventory of a society were supervised to the school teacher through the pen-ended interview. This research found positive and significant relationships between schooling and culture. Culture of society can be used by the educators to select the content of school curriculum, learning materials, and methods for communication to student and education as a supportive role to conservation and reformation of culture to a society. The school education mainly dominated by universal culture what Banks called “popular culture”. Further, the exiting schooling limited to the superficial culture of a society rather than the assumption of critical and social action approach of Banks. Therefore, such kinds of schooling can provide general information about the society but does not empower pupils about why do they are behaving different way to the different group of people. This study suggested that the decision making process concerning to school education should be managed in a way, whereas the school teacher, local people, and local expert can easily participate to take initiative or making school curriculum, learning resources and selecting methods of teaching.

GELENEKSEL TÜRK KONUTUNDA MEKÂN VE DONATI KURGUSU AÇISINDAN DEPOLAMA BİRİMLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

The role and importance of local architecture in the traditional texture are significant. Traditional dwelling as part of the local architecture; The influence of religion shapes the family structure of the people living in the region, culture, social relations, climate, and topography. The concept of storage, which defines a meaningful service action in traditional dwellings, has a regional approach inspired by both socio-cultural and natural environments in terms of space and reinforcement fiction. In this context, as the fruit of centuries of past experience, the storage areas in the space and reinforcement of traditional dwellings have unique qualities. These areas' protection, registration, and sustainability are essential for the cultural identity. In this direction, of the study, the storage areas in traditional Turkish dwellings; functional construction (Space-Action Relationship) and reinforcement properties (Fixed and Moving Reinforcements), and construction technique-material and ornamental properties of these units were examined. In the light of the examinations made, the traditional Turkish dwelling storage units, woodshed, haystack, storeroom-warehouse, pantry room, and attic used in functional fiction; fixed and moving units are determined to consist of fixed equipment such as load, cabinet systems, rack-sergen, fixed granary and moving equipment such as cubes, baskets, crates and moving grain warehouses. It is thought that the storage action, an essential part of daily life, will be a source for other research in examining the traditional Turkish dwelling buildings, determining their cultural qualities, transferring them to future generations, and creating an archive for the cultural inventory. Kapadokya Bölge Turizminin Sorunlarına ve Çözüm Önerilerine Yönelik Bir Değerlendirme

The aim of this study is to put forth how much of the ongoing tourism problems in the Cappadocia Region could be solved by in-depth analysis or what steps can be taken to solve them. From this point of view, by using the qualitative research approach, the single-case embedded design was used in the study. In this context, the outputs of meetings such as conferences, seminars, and workshops held so far to identify the problems that prevent tourism development in the destination have been examined by document analysis. Regarding the tourism of the Cappadocia region, lack of promotion, vocational/in-service training, and qualified workforce, poor working conditions, insufficient incentives for the sector, failure to manage crises, unplanned construction in the region, security problems, not adopting the concept of sustainability, inability to activate alternative tourism types, standard service quality and inadequate supervision, lack of historical and cultural inventory, transportation problems and many problems regarding inter-institutional communication and cooperation have been revealed. Based on the research results, possible solutions for the problems experienced in the tourism sector in the region are presented. Since there has been limited research in terms of addressing the current problems of the tourism sector in the Cappadocia Region, It is expected that the findings of this study will contribute to the field and provide practical benefits by creating a resource for subsequent research and offering suggestions.

The Relation Between Leadership and Expected Results from the Educational Process Within School Culture

School culture is a multifaceted concept, comprising multiple dimensions. The present research explored relations between selected dimensions: between the dimension focused on shared objectives, trust in school leadership, and on a managerial approach, and the important dimension focused on the innovation process and the results expected from the education process. School leaders using the School Culture Inventory evaluated current and desired school culture in their primary schools to identify culture gaps. The research findings should help school leaders in planning to shape the culture and innovate the strategy of the schools they manage.

Tourism and third sector organisations: synergies for responsible tourism development?

The main aim of this paper is the analysis of the third sector arts, culture and local development organisations (TSO) participation in the context of tourism planning and development and to understand the characteristics of its connections to the tourism sector in the region of the Algarve. The methodological strategy is anchored in a mix-methods approach applying qualitative techniques such as semistructured interviews (n=40), document analysis, non-participant observation, and adopting a triangulation approach. There have been few empirical studies that analyse this theme, thus, identifying the forms of participation that the third sector can adopt and their characteristics constitutes one of the main contributions of this research towards reinforcing the conceptual framework in the context of responsible tourism development. The results revealed that third sector organisations display a set of characteristics that position them as active agents in the tourist planning and development processes by operating on areas such as the promotion of cultural expression, research and inventory of cultural and natural resources, raising awareness of those resources and also by actively participating in supply structuring of tourist services.
