We report on an all-solid-state intracavity Raman laser source operating at 1155 nm. The Raman-active medium is crystalline LiIO/sub 3/, which converts emission at 1064 nm from Nd:YAG to the first Strokes wavelength of 1155 nm. We discuss the key design principles for this Raman laser and present its operating characteristics, including output power, efficiency, and spectral, spatial, and temporal properties.
