Preface: 8th International Conference on Education, Management and Social Science (EMSS 2024)

At the end of 2024, we would like to present an international proceeding that containing of the selected papers from the 2024 8th International Conference on Education, Management and Social Science (EMSS 2024). This conference is an annual important event to publish of research results. We are hoping that the event will become a foothold of thinking in welcoming of global developments. In addition, publications packaged in this seminar will further strengthening existence and reputation as an educational institution that excels in scientific publication at national and international levels. EMSS 2024 is a leading international conference for researchers and practitioners to share their new ideas, original research results and practical development experiences from education research, management engineering, historical research, humanities, sociology, and social science. This conference was held in Manila, Philippines during September 21-22, 2024 with the aim to act as a forum for exchange and dissemination of knowledge and ideas on the latest developments. We hope the international proceedings will be able to encourage students, teachers, lecturers, practitioners, researchers, and higher education community in developing scientific research and publications to support the nation's developments. 아시아 헌법재판기관간 교류의 현황과 과제 : 아시아헌법재판소연합(AACC)을 중심으로

While the international communications among constitutional courts in Asia take various forms, in terms of multilateral forums, Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) is virtually the only one in which 21 constitutional courts or equivalent intstitutions participate. Unlike ordinary courts’ judicial exchanges, communications among judicial bodies in the realm of constitutional adjudication have the unique characteristic of enabling substantial and practical interactions beyond diplomatic and formal aspects. This is because, although the constitution holds the status of domestic law, the substantial content of the constitution, such as the protection of human rights and the separation of powers doctrine, is often common across countries. This characteristic is no exception in the Asian region. In the overall exchanges among constitutional adjudication bodies in Asia, the exchange of experiences and views on substantial constitutional issues occupies a significant proportion. The AACC has three permanent secretariats responsible for administration, research, and education, with the Secretariat for Research and Developmet(AACC SRD) operated by the Constitutional Court of Korea. Despite this, the AACC is not well-known in the domestic academic community. In light of this situation, this paper aims first to examine the basic history and current status of the AACC and AACC SRD. Notably, the AACC SRD has consistently held international research conferences for judges or rapporteur judges every year since 2017, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, and has published research book annually since 2018. This is noteworthy as it is unparalleled in terms of both quantity and quality in the comparative constitutional law studies within the Asian region. The second goal of this paper is to explore ways to address the limitations that the AACC Research Secretariat has exposed, with the perspective that the Constitutional Court of Korea can play a leading role in the development of constitutional law in the Asian region through the AACC SRD, which shapes the substance of exchanges among constitutional courts in Asia. From this perspective, this paper suggests strengthening research capabilities as a means to enhance the operations of the AACC Research Secretariat, specifically by expanding human and material support through measures such as seconding constitutional rapporteur judges to the AACC SRD. This paper specifically underscores the absence of Korean research personnel at the AACC SRD to date and strongly advocates for the inclusion of Korean researchers in its workforce.

“Rumyantsev Readings — 2024”: N.P. Rumyantsev’s Heritage and Topical Issues of Development of Modern Librarianship

On 23—25 April 2024, the Russian State Library (RSL) hosted the annual International Research and Practical Conference “Rumyantsev Readings” (organizers: Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, RSL, the Library Assembly of Eurasia). The topics raised at the conference invariably attract a large number of specialists from different regions of Russia and other countries with their versatility and relevance. In 2024, representatives of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in it. Our country was represented by specialists from many cities and regions. 294 people took part in the event in person, 1,697 connections were recorded during the broadcasting of the sessions.The conference topics covered a wide range of issues on the theory and practice of library science, bibliography and book studies. Among its main directions: history of libraries and other scientific and cultural institutions, as well as pages of life and activity of people connected with them; disclosure of book depositories’ funds; research of collections and individual copies of manuscript and printed monuments; multifaceted activities of modern libraries. One of the main goals of the conference is to expand intercultural interaction and co-operation between cultural, educational and scientific institutions. Within the framework of the “Rumyantsev Readings” the work of sections, both traditional for many years, and timed to the dates and events of 2024, was organized. Special attention was paid to the personality and heritage of the creator of the Rumyantsev Museum N.P. Rumyantsev (1754—1826), whose 270th anniversary is being celebrated in 2024. Other key topics of the conference were: “Scientific and methodological activities of libraries”, “Collectors, curators, researchers: the history of cultural institutions in the faces”, “The selfless people of the past and modern volunteer movement in the life of libraries”, “Book monuments in the library collections: creation, existence, storage and use”, “Library collections in the digital environment”, “Staffing makes the difference: young researchers in the modern library”.The programme of the event included, in addition to the plenary session, ten sections and two round tables. By the beginning of the conference a collection of materials in three parts was prepared and published by the publishing house of the RSL “Pashkov Dom”, it included 168 articles by 180 authors.“Rumyantsev Readings” have been held for more than four decades and continue to be a popular research and practical event among library professionals and representatives of other educational, scientific and cultural institutions, contributing to the development of scientific research and the introduction of new practices.

The 2023 3rd International Conference on Detection Technology and Intelligence System (DTIS 2023) was held during December 22nd to 24th, 2023 in Wuhan, China (hybrid conference). DTIS 2023 was hosted by Anhui Key Laboratory of Intelligent Equipment Quality and Reliability, China and Institute of Robotics Modern Industry, Anhui Polytechnic University, China. The DTIS is aimed to be an international academic conference for scientists and researchers from the fields of and related to detection technology and intelligence system in China and the rest of the world. Our mission is to foster scientific exchanges and to promote a high-standard level of researches and experiments in China and the international community. The Conference Proceedings of DTIS 2023 covers a wide range of theoretical and applied topics from three major fields: • Detection Technology, including Sensor and Automatic Detection, Nondestructive Inspection, etc. • Intelligent System, including Intelligent Fault Detection and Diagnosis, Artificial Intelligence Method and System, etc. • Automatic Measurement and Control System, including Non-Contact Measurement, Modern Control Technology, etc. The Conference was held both onsite and online, providing an opportunity for those who couldn’t attend the meeting in person to share scientific research achievements and cutting-edge technologies, understand academic development trends, and broaden research ideas. About 100 delegates worldwide participated in the Conference. The Conference was divided into 4 keynote speeches, many oral talks as well as poster presentations. Participants had time at their disposal to present their work and researches, with 30–40 minutes for keynote speech including time for discussion, and 15 minutes for oral presentation. Prof. Zhenmin Zhu (East China Jiaotong University, China), Prof. Dezhang Xu (Anhui Polytechnic University, China), Prof. Ning Sun (Nankai University, China), and Prof. David Bassir (French University of Technology, France) gave keynote speeches on Study on The Technology of 3D Precision Measurement Based on Polarization-Coding Structured Light, The Application of Industrial Internet of Things and Digital Twin Technology, Intelligent Control for Underactuated Cranes with Applications, and Contribution of AI and ML to Crack Detection in Concrete, respectively. The participants actively interacted with each other and the speakers during discussion time. Once again, we must admit that organizing the DTIS 2023 and finalizing the editing process for the post publications has been quite a challenge. We have worked with passion and enthusiasm. We firmly believe that discussions, interactions and publications of this volume can help improve researches and experiments in related fields, offering creative ideas that can be used by researchers to conduct experiments, as well as creating important link between theory and practice. We would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of DTIS 2023, including the conference committee members, speakers, authors, reviewers and all the participants. Research Plan Entrepreneurial Logical Mapping: Production and Re-engineering of a Pragmatic, Fluid and Tantalizing Academic Research Plan: A Practical Example (Extract from My 2024-2029 Research Plan)

For the young, ambitious academics and upcoming Researchers placed at any tertiary institution of higher learning, or research organizations, this position paper (research plan) is a must read master piece. Mature researchers and potential candidatures in research are also invited to consume this information. I acknowledge that while it may not be 100% tantalizing, but it is 100% worth of going through. Completing the reading and mastering some key techniques will produce researchers who work smart, organize their research and independent in thinking. This plan is a real abstract of my comprehensive plan for period 2024 through 2029. The document is my strategic research plan projected for [2024 to 2029]. The plan provides a major and rigorous diagnosis regarding the opportunity to talk about my proposed research plan-covering [Entrepreneurship, Business leadership and Corporate governance, Human and business epistemology, Project Management, logistics and Business Communication plus general management areas] within the domain of Private and Public sector sectors. The plan further describes benefits, and how it will be implemented and conducted. This publication strategy is a thought tool for the future and is in a road map delineating what, when, and how my research will be conducted and in some cases published. It does include the type of article and journal, based on the target audience, the environment in which research will be done. For my strategy to work, I have established it as early as possible, and will revise it throughout a research project’s life cycle which aligns to the five (5) year period. The form of research is multi-faceted in outlook. As both part of raising BA ISAGO university as a knowledge producer and also part of my personal profile enhancement, I have lined up a number a of structures within my strategic research paradigms-following a very strong and waterproof personal research model [The Gwakwa Knee jack Research framework ( GNJRF)] This model postulates a bi-partisan and bi-projectory approach where the research is biased towards promoting institutional values and place the university at the center of knowledge production within the global arena. To achieve this ,three key approaches (to be elucidated in the main document) will be adopted namely organizing and conducting international research conferences/symposiums and or workshops; holding classical and internal capped public lectures with a global touch; rigorous search and conducting intensive community based research; conducting intensive business based research; aggressive publications mainly touching on the business landscape with emphasis on entrepreneurship research, leadership and business management disciplinarian researches and lastly but not list embark on a series of participating n international research conferences where I will make active presentations in line with conference thematic areas

HRI London 2023: The Homeopathy Research Community Reunites after a 4-Year Hiatus, Sparking Fresh Collaborations between Researchers 'Old and New'.

The Homeopathy Research Institute's (HRI) 5th international research conference took place in the heart of London, from 16th to 18th June 2023. With 230 attendees from 27 countries, HRI's conferences remain truly international. HRI London 2023 will be remembered for its inspiring blend of 'old and new', with a programme notable for the maturity of the evidence presented by experienced names drawing on decades of work, as well as the enthusiasm and skill of up-and-coming researchers who took the floor to present their new findings. In this report, we present scientific highlights from the event.

In this study, we intend to capture diversified and pluralistic views on intellectual territory of CHRD. The central research questions is how CHRD research could be categorized through research papers in AHRD conference proceedings, which enables us to look at the meaning of CHRD on a discursive aspect. For this study, AHRD website (https://www.ahrd.org) was selected and a total of 232 papers included in the proceedings of AHRD international research conference in the Americas in 2009-2021 were collected. As a result, the ten topics are presented using LDA-based topic modeling and intertopic distance map makes five categories with the combination of individual topic as follows; (a) Topic 1 and 8 lie in the first quadrant. They represent understanding and meaning making in HRD with critical perspectives, (b) Topic 6 and 9 lie in the second quadrant. They advocate the nature of CHRD by challenging the status quo in HRD theory and practice. (c) Topic 4 and 7 lie in the third quadrant. They seem to be loosely tied development with organizing/managing in the textual surface, but we propose they show us variation in conceptualizing development in HRD. (d) Topic 2 and 5, Topic 3 and 10 lie in the fourth quadrant. The former covers identity issues, the latter social justice and recognition. In conclusion, CHRD researchers need to embrace multiple truths, politics, emancipation, iconoclasm, complexity as attributes of CHRD concept.

МЕЖДУНАРОДНАЯ КОНФЕРЕНЦИЯ «L’AUTRE DANS LA LITTÉRATURE DE JEUNESSE RUSSE»

This review reports on the international research conference « L’autre dans la littérature de jeunesse russe » (“The Other” in Russian Children’s Literature) held at the Clermont Auvergne University. The conference was organised by the Centre de Recherches sur les Littératures et la Sociopoétique (CELIS) and brought together specialists in children’s literature from Russia, France and Italy. Ten papers were presented in which the category of “Stranger/Other” was considered in the material of Russian children’s literature of different epochs and directions and placed in the context of contemporary world research on the agency of the child. The researchers focus on the works of individual authors (Arkady Gaidar), genres and subgenres of children’s literature (zoofiction, fantasy, science fiction, non-fiction), historical and cultural phenomena (children’s books of “Russian abroad”), various aspects of representation of the “other” (corporality, category “fat / slim”), themes (perception of war in modern children’s literature), individual works (“Leto v Pionerskom Galstuke” (“Summer in a pioneer tie”) by Katerina Silvanova and Elena Malisova). The survey gives a brief summary of the presentations, draws attention to the variety of methods and approaches of the researchers, and characterizes the significance of the conference as a whole.

Transmission of Cultural Experience and Social Practices in the Age of Transitivity: The Outcome of an International Scientific and Practical Conference

The results of the discussion of transdisciplinary problems of cultural experience transfer to the growing generation, the use of innovative technologies in psychological practice, the choice of educational strategies in the current socio-cultural situation at the International Research and Practice Conference “Transmission of Cultural Experience and Social Practices in the Age of Transitivity” organized by the Udmurt State University (Izhevsk) on November 15-18, 2022 are presented. As a result of the conference, the need to develop new scientific approaches to address the issues raised in order to preserve the young generation in an era of global geopolitical and socio-cultural transformation, to study the new social situation of human development in a network society organization with a heterogeneous generation and multidirectional intergenerational transmission is noted. One of the most debated issues in contemporary science and psychological practice is the digital gap between different generations, the complication of intergenerational relations. In the context of digitalisation, the education system is faced with the important task of developing new technologies for socialization of the growing generation, aimed at harmonizing the modern technogenic values of world civilization with the timeless traditional values of the peoples of Russia, serving to consolidate modern multicultural Russian society. The conference, marking the thirtieth anniversary of psycho-pedagogical education at Udmurt State University, took place in 2022, declared the Year of Education in Udmurtia by the Head of the Udmurt Republic.

The review analyses the collection of materials of the XII International Research and Practice Conference “Traditions and Innovations in the Modern Cultural and Educational Space”, held on November 23, 2021 at the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPSU). The publication was prepared by the Department of Methodology and Technologies of Pedagogy of Music Education named after E. B. Abdullin of the Institute of Fine Arts of the MPSU and is addressed to teachers and students of pedagogical, humanities and art universities, as well as a wide range of specialists in the field of culture, art, education.

Casual Learn: A linked data-based mobile application for learning about local Cultural Heritage

This paper presents Casual Learn, an application that proposes ubiquitous learning tasks about Cultural Heritage. Casual Learn exploits a dataset of 10,000 contextualized learning tasks that were semiautomatically generated out of open data from the Web. Casual Learn offers these tasks to learners according to their physical location. For example, it may suggest describing the characteristics of the Gothic style when passing by a Gothic Cathedral. Additionally, Casual Learn has an interactive mode where learners can geo-search the tasks available. Casual Learn has been successfully used to support three pilot studies in two secondary-school institutions. It has also been awarded by the regional government and an international research conference. This made Casual Learn to appear in several regional newspapers, radios, and TV channels.

ACM UMAP 2022 report

ACM UMAP is the premier international conference for researchers and practitioners working on systems that adapt to individual users, to groups of users, and that collect, represent, and model user information. For the first time in the history of the conference, UMAP 2022 ran in a hybrid mode, with the opportunity for speakers and attendees to participate onsite or online. Besides, in this edition, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of UMAP, which started as a workshop on User Modeling in 1986. In this report we comment on the conference organization and attendees' experience.

Preface: 2022 International Conference on Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Management (AFEM 2022)

2022 International Conference on Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Management (AFEM 2022) was held as a virtual event in Qingdao, China on May 28-29, 2022. The conference is a leading international conference for researchers and industry practitioners to share their new ideas, original research results and practical development experiences from agricultural science, forestry engineering, sustainable development, tourism management and economic management.
 As coronavirus spreads worldwide, after careful consideration and following some participants' advices, the organizing committees decided to convert AFEM 2022 into a fully virtual conference. It has been a very difficult decision, but it has also given to all of us an opportunity to innovate and to test a new style of conference in a safer and convenient way in this special period. Researchers from all the world attended the conference from home and saw the live broadcast of the invited and contributed speeches.
 The success of AFEM 2022 is due to the high scientific level of all the contributions as well as to the enthusiasm of all the attendees. The member of the technical committee did a precious job in selecting the papers that were accepted for presentation and for inclusion in this book of proceedings among those that were initially submitted. Beside the authors, participants, we would like to thank the members of the organizing committee, reviewers and volunteers, whose work was fundamental for assuring the smooth running of the conference.
 We hope AFEM 2022 can develop into persistent success in future years, involving participants and speakers from all corners of the world. And we believe that with the strong support of all participants, professors, scholars, this conference will be more distinctive.

From the First Public Museum in Moscow to the Country’s National Library: Conference “Rumyantsev Readings—2022”

On 19—21 April 2022, the Russian State Library (RSL) hosted the annual International Research and Practical Conference “Rumyantsev Readings”. It was attended by the experts from the Russian Federation, as well as the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.The subject matter of the conference covers a wide range of issues on the theory and practice of library science, bibliography, and book science. Among this year’s main trends were the history of librarianship, the discovery of universal and specialised collections, and the multi-dimensional activities of modern libraries.In 2022, the RSL celebrates a memorable date: the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the Moscow Public Museum and the Rumyantsev Museum. This major event was highlighted in both greeting addresses and scientific reports presented at the conference.The agenda of the Readings included 15 round tables and sections. A number of meetings were broadcast on the RSL YouTube channel; some of them could be attended remotely using video conferencing tools.The RSL publishing house “Pashkov Dom” published a two-part collection of conference proceedings, which included 163 articles by 177 authors.Since its establishment in 1981, the Conference have been a key event for the professional community, annually drawing a large number of participants. It also contributes to the introduction of new sources into scientific circulation, the development of scientific research, the expansion of cooperation between various institutions, and intercultural communication.

A tribute to Dr Pierre Eiglier: a service field founder with timeless service wisdom

PurposeThis tribute to Dr Pierre Eiglier, who passed in February 2020, was prepared for the “17th International Research Conference in Service Management 2022” in La Londe les Maures, France. Tribute is defined as, “an act, statement, or gift intended to show gratitude, respect, or admiration”.Design/methodology/approachSampled Pierre's publications; consulted the 1993 Journal of Retailing “Special Services Issue” on the evolution of the field; collected reflections from another founder and two of Pierre's former doctoral students who have helped co-chair the La Londe conference and drew from my own interactions with Pierre over the years at La Londe.FindingsIn the mid-1970s, Pierre was one of the first to specify the unique characteristics of services vs products, and the implications and introduced, with Eric Langeard, the “servuction” (service production) model, highlighting customer participation in the servuction process and determinants of the service experience. Pierre continually applied a synthesis of systems thinking, researcher–practitioner interaction, and interdisciplinary/cross-functional perspectives.Practical implicationsPierre's contributions came at a time when marketing practice was geared largely toward products/goods, yet the service sector was growing. Pierre's pioneering framing, along with other founders, of service attributes, service models, and the service experience had much-needed implications for services marketing practice.Originality/valueThis detailed tribute to a service field founder is, regrettably, quite original; too rare. There is value in revisiting these founding contributions which often were broader and more interdisciplinary in perspective than now.

Guidelines to Facilitate Human-Wildlife Interactions in Conservation Translocations

Species reintroductions and translocations are widely used management interventions to restore locally extinct or augment severely depleted species. In such projects, the human dimension issues that influence the success of these conservation interventions are encountered at five different stages of the project life cycle: (1) planning, (2) initiation, (3) implementation, (4) ending stage, and (5) post-exit. Overlooking or failing to consider the human dimension in any of these phases could jeopardise the conservation translocation project's success. When the human dimensions are included there is greater possibility of community involvement, peers' acceptance and support from various interest groups and avoidance of conflict situations. The Human-Wildlife Interactions Working Group (HWIWG) was formed in 2018 by members of the IUCN Conservation Translocation Specialist Group (CTSG). HWIWG has facilitated online discussions and workshops with practitioners, researchers and academics from across the globe, on a range of aspects of human-wildlife interactions in conservation translocations, as well as leading discussion sessions during international research conferences. These events have provided a rich source of material from which to draw a series of recommendations. In this paper we discuss findings from the HWIWG that illustrate how, in each of the five stages of the project life cycle, human-dimensions influenced conservation translocation projects. Our aim is to provide useful and multidimensional insights for those working in species' reintroductions and translocations.
