1. Functions have been obtained for calculating temperatures of a tire in the regions where it actually makes contact with the road surface. 2. It has been shown that the presence of internal heat release in the region where the tire actually makes contact with the road surface leads to a considerable increase of the flashpoint and that the increase of this temperature depends markedly on the velocity of the source.
