Six interference modes affecting standard television and FM broadcast receivers: Rectification, Harmonics, Intermodulation, IF Beats, Images, and IF Feedthrough are examined. A map is derived showing the relationship between interference modes and broadcast channels for transmitter frequencies below 900 MHz. Harmonic relationships to aircraft bands are also considered. Two bands presently allocated to the Fixed and Mobile radio service, 48 to 50 MHz and 410 to 420 MHz, are recommended as potential sites for CB expansion.
