Development of Ludo Math Props to Improve Student Learning Interest in Logarithm Material

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of LUDO MATH that can increase student interest in learning Logarithms. This type of research is R D using the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection in this study was carried out by means of observation and interviews. Descriptive analysis is used to describe the results of the development of LUDO MATH from the analysis to evaluation stage. The results of the material expert validation showed that LUDO MATH media obtained a percentage of 80% in the valid category. While the results of the media expert validation obtained a percentage of 80% with a valid category. For the assessment of the practicality of teaching aids seen from the results of the assessment by teachers and students. Where the results of the assessment by the teacher obtained a percentage of 76.67% with a practical category, while the results of the assessment by students obtained a percentage of 84.55% with a very practical category. To see the effectiveness of teaching aids, it is seen from the results of observations during the trial and supported by the results of interviews on the trial subjects. The results showed that the LUDO MATH learning media developed proved to be valid, effective, and practical so that the use of this media can be an alternative for teachers in increasing student interest in learning Logarithms.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Diferensiasi dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Ppkn di SMP Swasta Kristen BNKP Gunungsitoli

This study aims to determine the implementation of differentiated learning in increasing student interest in Civics subjects at BNKP Gunungsitoli Christian Private Junior High School, this research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The tools used by researchers in collecting data are recordings, pictures, and field notes. Based on the results of the research found that the implementation of differentiated learning in increasing students' interest in learning Civics Subjects at BNKP Gunungsitoli Christian Private Junior High School teachers make observations, interviews and give questionnaires to students to find out what the interests of students are in the classroom with teachers knowing students' learning interests, teachers use learning strategies, namely content differentiation that adjusts learning materials according to student interests. Process differentiation is a learning strategy that adjusts the way teachers deliver material or provide instructions to students, product differentiation is a teacher strategy in providing varied learning methods, and differentiation of the learning environment learning methods outside the classroom (outdoor). The impact of the implementation of differentiated learning has succeeded in increasing student interest in Civics subjects at BNKP Gunungsitoli Christian Private Junior High School. In addition, differentiated learning increases students' passion for learning the material, adds experience, provides actual examples, and learning is more fun so that students do not feel bored in learning.

ТЕНДЕНЦІЇ РОЗВИТКУ ОСВІТНІХ ПРОГРАМ ТА МЕТОДИЧНОГО ЗАБЕЗПЕЧЕННЯ ІНШОМОВНОЇ ПІДГОТОВКИ МАГІСТРІВ ФІЛОЛОГІЇ НА СУЧАСНОМУ ЕТАПІ

The development trends of programmatic and methodical support of master's training – teachers/lecturers of foreign languages in the context of the modern educational paradigm are highlighted in the article. Based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources, the author draws conclusions about standardization as an essential condition for the quality of educational programs and their compliance with European requirements. The transformation of educational programs and methodological materials takes place on the basis of student-centered and competency-based approaches to their development and implementation. Among the important areas of development of programming and its methodical support, the author names the deepening of the scientific component of the content of master’s education, as well as strengthening the practical work of specialists with higher education for greater compliance of professional training with the interests of students and the requirements of employers. The current trend of modern education is its digitalization, which provides new forms and methods of teaching and learning, promoting the use of digital tools of cognitive activity, which optimizes the production activity of teachers and students. The technological approach to the creation of educational programs is emphasized, based on the structuring of their content of educational programs and methodical materials, which emphasizes the distribution of educational material and promotes orderly learning built according to technological logic. The effectiveness of the implementation of educational programs is ensured by the compliance of program learning outcomes with the structured competencies that master’s students must assimilate.

СОЦІАЛІЗАЦІЯ ДІТЕЙ ТА МОЛОДІВ НЕДІЛЬНИХ ШКОЛАХ УКРАЇНИ (ДРУГА ПОЛОВИНА ХІХ – ПОЧАТОК ХХ СТОЛІТТЯ)

The article, based on the analysis of historical and pedagogical sources, reveals the history of the formation and development of Sunday schools in Ukraine in the second half of the 19th - at the beginning of the 20th century as a center of socialization for children and youth. The author found out that in the history of education in the second half of the 19th- at the beginning of the 20th century a significant place is given to the educational activities of Sunday schools - non-traditional institutions of out-of-school education for children and adults, in which training took place on Sundays (for persons of Jewish nationality - on Saturdays) and holidays. Sunday schools of the researched period are considered as open public educational institutions, the principles, tasks and content of education and upbringing of which were aimed, first of all, at meeting the educational needs and requests of the people. The specificity of educational work in Sunday schools was determined, which consisted, first of all, in a special atmosphere of relations between the teacher and the student, which contributed to the socialization of children and youth. The internal rules of Sunday schools strictly prohibited corporal punishment, which, according to the teachers, hindered not only the mental, but also the moral development of students. It was proved that the constant search for flexible, constructive principles, the development and testing of new effective methods and methods of teaching and upbringing, the use of progressive achievements of Ukrainian and world pedagogy are the main components of professionalism and the main principles of the innovative activity of Sunday school teachers. The organizational principles of the activity of Sunday schools were singled out: the absence of strict internal regulations, a public approach to the management and planning of the pedagogical process, compliance with the main principle of activity – «school for students», the creation of special guardianships for the purpose of caring for students, a special atmosphere of relationships between members of the school team, humane treatment of pupils, common interests of teachers and students, etc.

Enhancing Pedagogical Competencies through Continuous Training: A Professional Approach

Professional growth through the process of continuing Professional Development (CPD) is significant for the improvement of teachers’ professional competency and for better preparation to meet diverse and challenging contexts of educational environments. In this quantitative study, the research seeks to examine the effects of CPD on teaching confidence, classroom management, and student achievement. Using a survey technique, information was obtained from 200 educators in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions on the extent to which they self-identified enhancements in the areas of subject content knowledge, classroom management, integration of technology, and student interest. The results presented enhanced competencies after participation in CPD with greater enhancements in the application of technology. Among the types of activities, workshops and/or online training were identified as the most beneficial for CPD practices, while the frequency of participation in such practices was found to be a definite factor in competency improvement. However, there are challenges including restricted access and the issue of resources especially if the environment that the research is being conducted is not well endowed. As such, the study calls for more frequent, varied, and accessible and sustainable CPD in ways relevant to educators’ contexts to help inform policymakers and institutions on the ways to promote 21st Century teachers and learning.

A Theoretical Framework Analyzing Impact of Embedding Entrepreneurial Skills in Education on Economical Growth

Background: The growth of any country's economy owes much on the contributions of its entrepreneurs. Employment creation, income contribution, rural development, industrialization, technological advancement, export promotion, etc. are all bolstered by a nation's entrepreneurial spirit. There has been periodic government programs in India aimed at fostering entrepreneurship. The Indian government has begun to take an interest in the topic of entrepreneurship. Startup India is only one of many high-profile programs designed to foster growth in the private sector. The effectiveness of teaching innovation and entrepreneurship to university students has come under scrutiny as they try to prepare themselves for a dynamic job market. Objectives: University students' job-seeking mindsets, innovative and practical skill development, innovative and practical ability development, core entrepreneurial competitiveness, entrepreneurship and innovation comprehensive quality, etc. are all examined in this research. The current state of education regarding entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education is evaluated in order to identify and strengthen the aspects that are having a beneficial impact on students' learning. The innovative and entrepreneurial potential of today's university students has never been more crucial, since studies demonstrate that entrepreneurship has a major impact on economic growth. Methods: From the standpoint of planned behavior theory, this research examines how entrepreneurship education influences the intent to start a business. By investigating the impact of university-level entrepreneurial programs on economic and social progress, a brief analysis is made that impacts the growth of financial sector in India. Education on entrepreneurship in universities is essential for inspiring and motivating students to start their own firms. This research presents a theoretical model of the connection between entrepreneurial skills and intending to be entrepreneurial as taught in academics dedicated to the study of entrepreneurship. Results: This research presents a thorough analysis on demographics of entrepreneurs, the psychological and behavioral traits of university students, and the external influences on entrepreneurs through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Conclusion: Students' entrepreneurial drive and choices were found to be influenced by their backgrounds and characteristics. In addition, the objective characteristics of the potential entrepreneurs are the students' subjective desires and interests.

Fostering the Interdisciplinary Learning of Contemporary Physics Through Digital Technologies: The “Gravitas” Project

The interdisciplinary teaching of contemporary physics has become increasingly common in physics education, especially for high school students and teachers. This approach, which integrates content and methodologies from various disciplines, fosters scientific reasoning, enhances creativity, and increases student motivation and interest in physics. The use of digital technologies, such as social media platforms, supports these educational goals by facilitating the inclusive and cost-effective dissemination of scientific knowledge and the development of soft skills. This paper introduces the “Gravitas” project, an initiative that employs an interdisciplinary approach to present contemporary physics topics to high school students through social media. Coordinated by the Cagliari Division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in Italy, the “Gravitas” project offers a non-traditional learning environment where students explore modern physics and philosophy and the history of science. Through the creation of educational materials, such as social media posts, students actively engage in their learning. In 2022, around 250 students from 16 high schools across Sardinia, Italy, participated in this project. This paper discusses the learning outcomes, highlighting the potential of integrating formal high school curricula with innovative educational and digital tools.

Trajectories of students’ momentary interest in evolution during a museum guided tour

ABSTRACT A person’s stable and momentary interest have a positive influence on learning. For understanding global challenges related to e.g. biodiversity loss, interest in and knowledge about evolution is of great importance. Museums can make an important contribution to learning about evolution in terms of interest. So far, there is a lack of studies on how exactly museum visits affect students’ interest. Against this background, the present study investigated to what extent a guided tour of a NHM can arouse the momentary interest of students. Students (N = 251) aged 15–18 were surveyed by questionnaire before and during a museum tour on evolution. One result is that students could be assigned to theoretically describable groups. Students in the responder group showed an increase in momentary interest, while students in the non-responder group showed a low interest level. Students in the high-level responder group showed a relatively high momentary interest level. The results demonstrate that students were most activated when provided a certain level of open-mindedness. Future studies might investigate why visitors’ momentary interest behaves the way we described empirically and how museum guides can respond to students’ interests. This includes identifying cues that trigger trajectories of momentary interest during a museum tour.

POSSIBILITIES OF USING VR TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING PSYCHOLOGY TO STUDENTS IN PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CLASSES

When organizing the activities of schoolchildren in specialized psychological and pedagogical classes, it is necessary to equip them with the most advanced methods, organizing professional tests and acquiring specifi c experience through immersion in a new digital reality. Purpose of the work is to study the possibilities of using VR technologies in the process of teaching psychology to students in psychological and pedagogical classes. Research methods include analysis, synthesis, generalization, and questioning. Sample consists of psychology teachers of  classes of psychological and pedagogical orientation in the city of Tula and the Tula region. Main results. Possible areas for the use of VR technologies in teaching psychology are highlighted: visualization of abstract psychological concepts, virtual excursions to psychological laboratories, acquaintance with specifi c psychologists of the past and present, virtual participation in psychological experiments, virtual games for training professionally signifi cant skills; immersion in school reality; trying oneself as a teacher; creating lesson projects; using immersive methods; visiting specialized virtual exhibitions, bookstores; virtual visit to the university, etc. Conclusion. Using the capabilities of VR technologies can signifi cantly affect the increase in the effi ciency of the learning process and the development of cognitive interests of students in psychological and pedagogical classes in the specialized discipline of psychology.

A Comparative Study of Discussions, Debates, and Oral Presentations in Enhancing EFL Learners’ Oral Proficiency

This case study investigated the effects of different speaking activities (oral presentations, discussions, debates) on the speaking performance of 11 young adult EFL learners at a university in central Mexico. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and an online survey and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed that combining socialization with varied speaking activities and incorporating popular culture topics relevant to students increased motivation, reduced the affective filter, boosted confidence, and improved fluency and accuracy. The integration of student interests and fostering of personal relationships promoted a holistic understanding of cognitive and metacognitive strategies, enhancing overall speaking skills. However, limitations include a small sample size from the same sociocultural context. Further research with a larger, more diverse sample is recommended for unbiased results. The study highlights the benefits of tailoring speaking activities to students' interests and encourages developing interpersonal relationships to facilitate language learning.

How offering a free introductory AI computing course at a hispanic-serving community college influences computing interests for enrolled students?

ABSTRACT Background and Context Hispanic-serving community colleges represent promising sites for broadening participation and enhancing computing interests around AI. Objectives This study investigated how students enrolled in an introductory AI computing course at an HSCC made meaning of their course experiences and how they described their interest in computing during the course. Methods Using Social Cognitive Career Theory, this study employed a qualitative, phenomenological approach with participants who took the freely offered introductory AI computing. Findings Offering a free, credit-bearing introductory AI computing course nurtured interests in computing, despite varying previous coding backgrounds. The course’s implicit prerequisite coding knowledge requirement challenged computing interests. Faculty members played a pivotal role in supporting student interests by adjusting supportive learning environments. Implications This study informs the development of introductory AI computing courses at Hispanic-serving community colleges and demonstrates how free course offerings can create interest in computing courses to increase overall interest in computing..

Desain Media Pembelajaran Hyperlink Berbasis Canva pada Materi Asmaul Husna Kelas X

This research aims to develop hyperlink-based learning media using Canva application on Asmaul Husna material for grade X students. This learning media is designed as an innovative solution that utilizes interactive features to increase student interest, understanding, and involvement in the learning process. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), although in this study only until the development stage. The validation results show that this media is very feasible to use, with a material expert eligibility score of 89.5%, and a media expert of 78.5%. So that the validation results obtained from the hyperlink feature on Canva on class X asmaul husna material can be used as one of the learning media that makes it easier for students to access various additional content such as videos and articles, thus creating a more dynamic and interactive learning experience.

Implementation of Inquiry-Based Interactive Games to Improve Interest and Science Learning Outcomes in Human Reproductive System Material

This research was motivated by students' perception that Science lessons are difficult to understand and boring due to the one-way teaching method, which has led to a decline in student interest and learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was to increase the interest and learning outcomes of ninth-grade students in class 9.3 at SMP Negeri 2 Cisauk. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. Data collection techniques involved quantitative data from learning outcomes and qualitative data through analyzing interest questionnaire sheets. The results show an increase in students' learning interest and outcomes. The percentage of students' interest in learning before and after the intervention increased from 54,5% to 93,9%. The average learning outcomes of students increased from 62,5 to 79,3. This research shows that inquiry-based interactive games on the Human Reproductive System material led to an increase in students' interest and learning outcomes.

VR을 활용한 초등 역사수업 교수 경험에 관한 자문화기술지

Objectives This study aimed to deeply reveal the aspects of a history class conducted by an elementary school teacher using VR, as well as the experiences and meanings experienced by teachers and students during the class. Through this, it aims to suggest alternative perspectives and approaches that can more effectively utilize VR in elementary history classes and social studies textbooks. Methods To achieve this, autoethnography was utilized, as it was deemed appropriate for vividly capturing the aspects of elementary history classes using VR in the context of my life, including reflection and introspection. I collected, analyzed, and interpreted the data by following the research procedures suggested by Chang (2008), Park Soon-yong, Chang Hee-won, and Cho Mi-na (2010), and Lee Dong-sung (2020). Results The elementary history class using VR for one semester was successful at first, but fell short of expectations as it went on. However, I was able to find meaning in the process. The elementary history class using VR showed a positive effect of increasing the interest and participation of the early students. However, as it went on, unexpected difficulties arose for me and the students, which led to a decrease in the students’ interest and my own confidence. However, through this experience, I was able to find ways to utilize VR in elementary history classes and social studies textbooks, as well as future tasks. Conclusions I hope that VR will be effectively utilized in elementary social studies classes, elementary history classes, and social studies textbooks, and I would like to propose the following discussion points. First, in order to effectively utilize VR in elementary history classes, teachers should demonstrate their expertise to interpret the curriculum and textbooks and decide on the appropriate class period for utilizing VR. After that, they should use the minimum amount of effectively organized VR content in that class period. Second, they should prepare HMDs and smartphones with sufficient performance to experience VR. Third, the time spent experiencing VR should not exceed 10 minutes at a time, and the number of times it should be used should not exceed one time per class period. Fourth, they should develop high-quality VR content for elementary history classes. Fifth, they should develop a platform or program that allows teachers to easily create VR content themselves or modify completed VR content to fit their classes.

SDIR Mathematical Approach with Time Delay Factor to Reveal Indonesian Students' Interest in Government Organizations and Internships: A Case in FMIPA UNM

This study is to build a time-delay SDIR model on the case of student interest in Organizations and Government Internship Programs, analyze the model and conduct a model simulation to predict the level of student interest cases in Organizations. This study is a theoretical and applied study. Analysis of the time-delay SDIR model of the case of student interest in Organizations, while the model simulation uses Maple Software. The population of the study was active students of FMIPA UNM, with a sample size of 1029 students obtained using the Sloving technique. The results of this study are a mathematical model of SDIR on the case of student interest in Organizations which is a system of differential equations. The model analysis provides a value of the free equilibrium point of the case of student interest in Organizations and a stable endemic equilibrium point. The results also found that the basic reproduction number value for cases without a solution would produce R0n = 9.912507841, which means that in social cases where one individual can influence 9-10 people in their environment to hesitate to participate in organizational activities or internship programs, but on the other hand if the case is given a solution, it will produce R0s = 0.2737372211, which means that there is no psychological spread, where each individual does not influence other individuals.

Teachers' Experiences in Implementing the School Literacy Movement (GLS): An Investigation of Junior High School Literacy Programs in Indonesia

This study explores the experiences of junior secondary school teachers in Indonesia who have implemented the School Literacy Movement (GLS). The study focuses on teachers' perceptions of GLS, its implementation, and its challenges. This study used a phenomenological approach involving 20 teachers to share their insights on the research topic. Data analysis was conducted through a qualitative research paradigm using ATLAS.ti 9 software. The tool facilitated the study of participants' transcripts and documentation, enabling the verbal expression of essential phrases or sentences, the identification of meanings and themes, and the combination of these elements into a comprehensive and insightful description. This study found that teachers implemented incomplete stages of GLS, driven by their limited perception of the program, which focused more on general reading skills. Their planning and implementation of GLS was superficial, and they faced significant issues such as time, evaluation, teacher workload, limited interaction or lack of training, and low student interest in reading. Challenges include limited learning resources and access and an unsupportive environment, facilities, and infrastructure

The Influence of Self-Efficacy and Family Environment on Student Interest Learning in SMK PGRI 2 Kediri

The purpose of this study is to see how self-efficacy and family environment at SMK PGRI 2 Kediri affect student learning motivation. With a population of students of SMK PGRI 2 Kediri, especially accounting majors, this study used quantitative methodology. A total of 75 people were selected as samples using saturated sampling technique. The findings of the analysis show that the Sig. value of the self-efficacy variable, family environment, and interest in learning are all less than 0.05: the value of the self-efficacy variable is 0.001, the value of the family environment variable is 0.007, and the value of the interest in learning variable is 0.000. Analysis of research data using the F test (simultaneous test) obtained the results of Fcount = 36.432 with a significance value of 0.000 so that the learning interest variable (Y) is simultaneously influenced by the self-efficacy variable (X1) and the family environment (X2). The Development of ChemicoMine, Maritime Chemistry Comic Webtoon as an Edutainment Media Accordance to the IMO Regulations

Based on the IMO Model Course 7.04 curriculum, chemistry is an introductory course that a candidate for sailor must master. However, most abstract chemistry concepts require technology-based learning media and edutainment. Webtoon is a digital comic that presents the concept of chemistry through real-life visualization strategies to attract student interest. This research aimed to create ChemicoMine, a maritime chemistry comic webtoon whose material content follows IMO regulations. The research method is R&D with the ADDIE model, which is limited to the Development stage. The instruments used in this research were analyst instruments of necessity, the validation tools of storyboard, the instrument validated by an expert in media and material, and the instrument for students. The data analysis techniques used the Likert scale 5. Validation results from an expert in material and media stated that the product received a percentage rating of 87.66% and 95.28% with the category (very good). Student response results obtained percentage of rating of 88.94% with the category (very good). Based on the results, ChemicoMine received a positive student response and can be used as an alternative edutainment media.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PICTURE SERIES IN TEACHING WRITING RECOUNT TEXT TO THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENT OF SMP NEGERI 1 PEDAMARAN

This research aims to compare students who receive learning through picture series with students who receive conventional teaching methods. learning recount text used picture series, determined the success of learning interest students' English. Teaching English in Indonesia is learners must be able to communicate with native speakers of the language and understood that English is used as a second language in some state sectors of the nation that function as bridges to other languages, such as trade and education. The research method used in This method is quantitative which used data collection techniques through pretest and post-test at SMP Negeri 1 Pedamaran. Based on this research, the picture series method was used. could have a significant positive impact on English learning, especially in English writing skills. Students become able to write. From the results of this research, students agree that used the series drew method could improve writing skills them, about recount text. the results of their writing practice through a picture series.

ANALYSIS OF STUDENT LEARNING READINESS TO FULFIL ACHIEVEMENTS INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM WITH DIFFERENTIATED LEARNING

This study explores the impact of students' learning readiness on the implementation of differentiated learning to achieve independent curriculum goals in a seventh-grade class at SMPIT Putri Al-Hanif, Cilegon, Indonesia. The theoretical framework emphasizes the dynamic nature of readiness, distinct from innate ability, highlighting the importance of aligning assignments with students' abilities and interests. Employing qualitative descriptive research, the study involves 23 participants, utilizing assessments, interviews, and observations. Results reveal diverse levels of learning readiness influenced by internal and environmental factors. The differentiated learning approach caters to individual needs, emphasizing process, product, content, and learning environment adjustments. Findings underscore the crucial role of teachers in organizing varied learning strategies to enhance students' readiness and overall learning quality within the context of the independent curriculum. This research contributes valuable insights into addressing learning gaps and optimizing educational outcomes in the Era of Revolution 5.0.
