The Impact of Technology and Social Media on Marriage and Divorce: A Study in Besilam Village, Langkat Regency

In today's rapidly evolving digital era, technology and social media have become integral parts of daily life. From connecting people worldwide to shaping how we communicate, work, and play, these advancements have profoundly transformed social, cultural, and economic dynamics. This article explores the significant role of technology and social media in the modern world and examines their influence on how we live, interact, and share information. While social media serves as an effective two-way communication tool, its impact can vary depending on how it is used. The concept of communication and information-sharing via computer networks, which predates modern social media, marked the foundation for what we now recognize as social media platforms. As technology and social media continue to advance, they have given rise to new societal phenomena, including divorces stemming from relationships formed through social media interactions. Remarkably, marriage ceremonies can now be conducted via video calls, and divorces can be finalized through video conferences. The ongoing development of technology has significantly broadened societal knowledge. The emergence of diverse social media platforms has further enabled people to expand their social networks and forge new friendships.

A cross-sectional study of policies from American medical organizations about public communications from physicians in the digital age

As a professional duty, physicians are often required to publicly comment on health-related topics. However, ethical complexities can arise during discussions about high-profile individuals or events, especially in an era of rapid news cycles and digital media. The American Medical Association (AMA) has policies concerning physician commentary and media interactions, as does the American Psychiatric Association (i.e., the Goldwater Rule). Nevertheless, the extent to which other United States medical associations have adopted similar protocols remains underexplored. Focusing on non-psychiatric members of the AMA’s policymaking body, the Federation of Medicine (FMMs), this study sought to analyze cross-speciality perspectives. Between January-March 2024, online resources for N = 122 FMMs were reviewed (e.g., professional codes and position statements), followed by email outreach to verify positions and garner further insights. n = 47 FMMs provided sufficient information for inclusion, cumulatively representing approximately 950,000 members. n = 16 FMMs (34%) had guidelines or policies regarding public commentary, generally emphasizing accuracy, consent, and confidentiality. Yet, for the majority of FMMs (n = 31/66%), no specific regulations were identified; these organizations did not cite any proprietary statutes or deferred to AMA materials. Moreover, existing FMM policies largely overlooked the impact of Artificial Intelligence and digital misinformation, warranting cross-specialty exchanges to uphold credible discourse amid societal and technological shifts.

A robust 3D finite element framework for monolithically coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical analysis of fracture growth with frictional contact in porous media

This paper presents the formulation of a robust integrated framework for the coupled multiphysics and multiple fracture growth analysis in porous media. The finite element-based thermo-hydro-mechanical method for fracture growth with frictional contact (THMf-g) simultaneously solves monolithically coupled equations, incorporating contact and frictional constraints from fracture sliding. It also implements an adaptive process to update fields and geometries during fracture growth, effectively modeling emerging new surfaces. The thermo-hydro-mechanical fields are derived from fundamental principles of mass, momentum, and energy conservation and discretized numerically using the finite element method. Fractures are represented as sub-dimensional surfaces embedded within the volume of the porous medium. The growth of multiple fracture is modeled based on stress intensity factors at fracture tips, with fracture aperture and permeability emerging as dynamic properties of the system. The main novelty of this work lies in extending the implicitly solved monolithic coupling to include frictional and growth modeling for multiple non-planar fractures of emerging geometry in three dimensions. This includes the direct incorporation of cubic terms in the fracture flow equations and convection terms in the heat transfer equations, adopting an incremental method to solve these coupled, nonlinear equations. To ensure energy conservation, the heat equations are resolved using an implicit scheme, establishing a velocity dependency on pressure fields and introducing quadratic terms into the heat equation. Furthermore, the heat transfer equation has been revised to account for the work done on the fluid, enhancing the accuracy of thermal modeling. A contact mechanics leader–follower strategy tracks a conformal mesh split at each fracture, accounting explicitly for permeability changes during deformation and growth, effectively reducing computational complexity and cost. The iterative process for applying these constraints and the solution of the coupled THMf-g with friction and growth is described. The method does not require calibrated material properties or artificial length scale parameters, and relies on laboratory-measured properties with direct physical interpretation. A detailed algorithm is presented, including the updating of apertures and handling of new surfaces during the simulation, accounting for the variability of fracture permeability and its interplay with contact and friction during the non-linear solution. Several validating numerical experiments are benchmarked against analytical solutions, demonstrating the accuracy and reliability of the proposed framework in capturing complex fracture behavior and multiphysics interactions in porous media.

Development of a Mobile Pocket Book with a Problem-Based Learning Model to Improve Students Physics Literacy

Physics learning, especially on heat, often faces various obstacles, such as low student literacy and limited interactive learning media. Mobile pocketbooks come as one of the solutions to overcome these problems. This application-based digital learning media is designed to provide easy access to students ' learning materials through mobile devices. The mobile pocketbook is an application-based digital learning media designed to facilitate students' flexible access to learning materials through mobile devices. Using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the mobile pocketbook supports Active Learning, where students solve real problems to improve concept understanding and science literacy. This research aims to develop and test the validity and practicality of the product in the form of a mobile pocketbook as a medium to support physics learning, especially on heat material. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). However, due to time and cost constraints, this research did not reach the dissemination stage. Product validity was evaluated through assessments from experts and practitioners. The results of the expert assessment showed a validity level of 92.50%, while the practitioner gave a validity value of 96.25%, which indicated that the product was very valid. In addition, the product practicality test was evaluated through a questionnaire given to students and teachers. The questionnaire’s results show that this media is very practical, with a practicality value from the students' response of 90.76% and the teacher reaching 96.47%. Thus, the mobile pocketbook was designed using a problem-based learning model to improve students' physics science literacy. The results showed that this media is valid and practical for enhancing students' understanding of physics material, especially the concept of heat, as evidenced by the average practicality value of 93.61%. Therefore, this mobile pocketbook is expected to be one of the learning media innovations that can improve the quality of physics learning in schools.

Development of Realistic Based Interactive Media to Improve Class IV Elementary School Learning Outcomes

The learning process is a communication process and takes place in a system between interactive media and learning tools. This research was carried out with a 4-D approach.The products developed were validated by experts and then tested on grade IV elementary school students. Of the four validators who had conducted the assessment, an average of 86% was obtained with a very valid category. There are nine aspects assessed, namely aspects of accuracy, completeness, interest, providing learning opportunities, providing assistance for learning, motivational quality, learning flexibility, social quality of instructional interactions, can have an impact on students, and can have an impact on teachers and their learning. The results of the practicality test by grade IV teachers of SD IT Nurul Ikhlas, SD Islam Al-Azhar 32, and SD IT Buah Hati showed that the interactive media based on RME that had been developed obtained very practical results with a practicality percentage of 92%. Utilizing Animaker in Producing Interactive Chemistry Learning Media on the Topic of Atomic Structure

Today’s learning process utilizes technological-based interactive learning media that improve students’ understanding of chemistry. Animaker is one of the AI-powered platforms to create animation and live-action videos. Therefore, this research tried to utilize Animaker to produce interactive learning media on atomic structure material, analyze the quality of the media based on material and media experts, as well as teachers, and determine students’ responses to the media. ADDIE model of research and development was used as the guideline in producing the media. First, needs analysis was carried out through literature reviews and preliminary studies. Second, the initial design was proposed, consisting of opening, main, and closing. Third, the design was then developed using Animaker website. In this stage, the media draft was validated by material and media experts. Two experts said that the media was excellent, although they provided feedback to improve the media. Some revisions were made before the media was delivered to teachers for quality testing. All teachers agreed that the media is of excellent quality (96.36%). The final media was then handed over to the student participants and they provided positive responses to the media. The Animaker is suitable for creating media that is interactive, interesting, and fun.

Development of an Electronic Dictionary of Monocotyledon Plant Classification for Jambi University Biology Education Students

This study aims to develop an Electronic Dictionary of Monocotyledon Plant Classification for Biology Education students at Jambi University. The primary issue faced by students is the lack of interactive learning media to facilitate their understanding of monocotyledon plant classification. To address this issue, the Research and Development (R&D) method was used, applying the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the needs analysis stage, observations and interviews were conducted to identify gaps in traditional learning materials. In the design stage, the e-dictionary was developed using Macromedia Flash 8 Pro, focusing on presenting taxonomic descriptions and interactive visual elements. Validation was carried out by content and media experts, resulting in improved scores from 75% to 89.06% for content experts, and from 62.50% to 87.50% for media experts. In the implementation stage, the e-dictionary was tested on 40 students, yielding a satisfaction score of 83.34%, with an independent evaluation from lecturers scoring 93.75%. The study demonstrates that the e-dictionary is effective in enhancing students' understanding of monocotyledon classification. Recommendations for future research include developing Augmented Reality (AR) features and adapting the tool for other biology education content. This e-dictionary is expected to contribute to more interactive and flexible biology learning.

Development of Interactive Science Learning Video Based on Ethnoedutour in Muaro Jambi Temple Area

This study aims to develop an interactive science learning video based on ethnoedutour on pressure material for junior high school students by integrating local wisdom from the Muaro Jambi Temple Area. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, as well as a mixed methods approach using exploratory sequential design. This research was conducted through three stages, namely analysis, design, and development. The analysis stage involved observations, interviews, and questionnaires to identify learning needs and learner characteristics. At the design stage, the video structure and storyboard were prepared based on the results of the analysis, while the development stage involved product validation by experts and student testing. The validation results show that this interactive learning video media is suitable for use, with significant improvements in the material and media aspects. The trial of 25 students showed a positive response with an average score above 80% on the aspects of material, feedback, motivation, ease of use, interaction, and accessibility. This study concludes that the interactive learning video based on *ethnoedutour* is effective in helping students understand pressure material through the local cultural context. However, further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the product in increasing students' learning motivation as well as in the implementation and evaluation stages.

Integrating Sumbang Duo Baleh Values into Early Childhood Character Education through Interactive Google Sites Media

Character education in early childhood is crucial for shaping behavior and morals, especially by integrating local cultural values. This study develops interactive Google Sites media to teach Sumbang Duo Baleh character values to children aged 5-6, using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model. Validated by education and technology experts, the media achieved a "Highly Valid" rating with a 95.31% content feasibility score and 87.96 for media presentation in functionality, usability, efficiency, and portability. It was also rated highly practical, scoring 85.7 for ease of use by teachers in daily activities. Integrating Sumbang Duo Baleh values into interactive media offers an effective strategy for enhancing character education and fostering culturally relevant learning in Indonesian early childhood education.

The ideological and value influence of the USA and Turkey on Kazakhstan’s information space

The article analyzes the ideological and value influence of the United States and Turkey on the information space of Kazakhstan. Special attention is paid to the mechanisms of media interaction, such as the financing of independent media, the issuance of educational grants and the use of soft power. The influence of these processes on political stability, national identity and foreign policy priorities of Kazakhstan is considered.

Upaya Peningkatan Media Wordwall terhadap Motivasi Belajar pada Pelajaran SKI Materi Kisah Teladan Nabi Muhammad SAW Kelas V MI Islamiyyah Kraksaan

This study aims to examine the impact of utilizing the Wordwall interactive media on student motivation in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI), focusing on the exemplary stories of Prophet Muhammad SAW for Grade V students at MI Islamiyyah Kraksaan. This research employs a quantitative experimental approach with a pretest-posttest design involving 25 students as participants. The results reveal that the application of Wordwall significantly enhances student motivation, with a 20% average increase in pretest-posttest scores. Observations show heightened student engagement during lessons, marked by active participation in discussions, asking questions, and completing tasks. Additionally, Wordwall facilitates better understanding and retention of moral values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW, such as honesty, patience, and compassion. Challenges include the necessity of stable internet access and device availability. This study underscores Wordwall's potential as an effective educational tool to create a more interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experience.

Structures of FM Radio Talk Shows Listened to by University Students in Eldoret Town, Kenya

The majority of the consumers of radio stations’ programming are the youth, most of whom are students in high schools, colleges, and universities. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to examine the structure of FM radio talk shows listened to by university students in Eldoret town. Uses and Gratifications theory guided this study. The study utilized a descriptive survey research design. The target population of the study were 3000 students from university campuses within Eldoret, and the sample size was 300. The researcher adopted a stratified sampling and simple random sampling technique to arrive at the sample that would best fit or present the intended purpose of the research. Data was collected using a questionnaire and Focus Group Discussion. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques that included frequencies, percentages. The findings revealed that FM radio talk shows typically feature a mix of news, interviews, and light entertainment to engage listeners at the start of the day. The study established that interactive formats allowing listeners to call in with requests or opinions, countdown formats featuring popular music tracks, and narrative-driven programs were popular among respondents. The study findings from focus group discussion revealed that FM radio talk shows in Eldoret Town typically follow a similar format, often beginning with an opening segment where the host introduces the topic and guests. This is followed by an in-depth discussion led by the host, with opportunities for audience participation through call-ins, SMS messages, and social media interactions. Radio stations targeting university students should create a balanced format that includes a mix of news, interviews, and light entertainment. The study concluded that FM radio talk shows in Eldoret Town typically follow a similar format, with an opening segment, in-depth discussions led by the host, and opportunities for audience participation. Coarse-Grained Modeling of the Water/Alkane Wetting and Dewetting Processes on Fluorinated Coatings.

This work provides a framework to digitally assess any droplet's static and dynamic contact angles on coatings and polymeric substrates. We are introducing a new dissipative particle dynamics coarse-grained model to attain the spatiotemporal conditions and the coexistence of different phases that such investigation dictates. Two computational techniques are additionally developed; a robust technique to calculate the static contact angle using density profiles and a perturbation method to evaluate dynamic contact angles. A parallel force to the surface force is applied to emulate the receding and advancing dynamics. We have validated our protocols for the static contact angle of water for a series of polymeric surfaces and the dynamic contact angle for three different fluorinated additives. We reproduced the correct hysteresis trends between the droplet content and the surface. The fluorinated nature of the additive's tails is the driving force of directed self-assembly and, consequently, the repelling nature of the surface. An equally important factor for designating the interaction profile of the surface is the coating's chemical structure, which is responsible for inhibiting or favoring the aqueous media interaction.

Evaluating the Design of a Board Game About Sex Education for Children Ages 6 to 10 in Surabaya

This study focuses on sex education, a topic notably absent from the education curriculum across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Due to its contentious nature, discussing sex education openly is often avoided, resulting in limited educational and media resources available for education about this matter to children and teenagers. The objective of this research is to develop a comprehensive and age-appropriate educational board game, specifically designed to address early sex education for children aged six to ten. The study primarily instructs children on matters of self-protection and the establishment of personal boundaries. Through a mixedmethod approach via design thinking, the study combines qualitative interviews with quantitative evaluations of the prototype. The research encompasses various stages, including data collection, design concept, and evaluation, which involves a post-test assessment of the design prototype. This research provides crucial insights into the effective communication of delicate subjects, such as early sex education, to a young target audience. Does Social Media Make Tourists More like Special Forces? The Impact of Supportive Communication on Generation Z’s Intention to Engage in Special Forces-Style Tourism

In the post-COVID-19 era, tourism and cultural industries have begun to bounce back, and their “revenge tourism” desire has forced “Special Forces-style tourism”, which was popularized throughout Chinese social media in 2023. This study explores a current knowledge gap in understanding how social media inspires Generation Z’s engagement in Special Forces tourism and implications for practical sustainable tourism. By leaning on the SOR model, Social Identity Theory, and Social Learning Theory, this study investigates how supportive and interactive social media environments shape the sustainable engagement intentions of Generation Z. We experimentally find that perceived supportive communication about sustainability issues significantly inflates sustainable engagement intentions in high-interactivity settings, by encouraging flow experiences and vicarious reinforcement that facilitate socially responsible travel decisions. Key findings include identification of supportive online interactions that can facilitate sustainable tourism among born-digital travelers, who enable informed, socially and environmentally responsible tourism behaviors.

Millennials’ use of social media and its impact on communication skills

ABSTRACT The current research endeavors to investigate the possible correlation between social media usage and self-perception of success in both written and oral communication among the Millennial cohort. The sample comprised 429 individuals aged between 18 and 25, who were subjected to a survey that aimed to elicit their self-perception of communication practices and media usage. Statistical analyses of the data revealed that there is no discernible association between the number of social media sites used, frequency of checking, or frequency of posting on social media, and the oral and written communication skills of Millennials. Notably, the number of friends on social media was also found to have no influence on perceived written skills. Nevertheless, the study found significant impacts of social media usage and interactions on some facets of oral communication, such as vocal confidence, articulation, and eye contact. Given that Millennials constitute one of the largest generational cohort in history, their influence on both the society and the business realm is profound.

Perceived Usefulness as a Mediating Variable on the Relationship Between Video Quality and Audience Emotional Engagement in Social Media

Facing dual challenges of inadequate dissemination and limited acceptance, this study scrutinizes why social media struggles to promote traditional culture effectively. It identifies low-quality videos on social platforms, particularly short-form content, as the main hurdle, leading to reduced impact. Investigating the relationship between short-form video quality and audience receptivity, this study categorizes quality into media richness, impact, and interactivity dimensions. Findings confirm that higher-quality videos correlate with increased emotional engagement. Employing the Technology Acceptance Theory (TAM), perceived usefulness partially mediates the link between video quality and emotional engagement. Elevating video quality not only enhances perceived usefulness but also deepens emotional resonance, ultimately amplifying cultural impact.

Pengembangan Kompetensi Guru PAUD Menciptakan Digital Picture Storybook Digital Berbasis Artificial Intelligence di Kiddos Smart School

Teachers at Kiddos Smart School Makassar faced challenges in exploring children's literature and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into the creation of digital picture storybooks. This Community Service Program aims to enhance teachers' abilities in creating interactive AI-based learning media in early childhood. The implementation methods include training, workshops, and intensive mentoring on using tools like ChatGPT, Canva Magic Media, and Suno.ai to create digital text, illustrations, and background music. As a result, teachers were able to adapt children's literature elements into engaging digital narratives and improve their technical skills in producing AI-based digital media. This Community Service Program successfully strengthened teachers' capacity to integrate AI technology, which is expected to enhance educational quality and cognitive development in children.

Validasi Media Pembelajaran dengan Aplikasi Games Wordwall pada Materi Membiasakan Pola Hidup Sederhana dan Menyantuni Dhuafa Kelas XII

This article discusses the important role of learning media development through Wordwall game applications that aim to facilitate the learning process for students and teachers and make learning more interactive. In addition, this article also evaluates the feasibility of Wordwall-based learning media that will be used for material on simple lifestyles and supporting the poor. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). However, this research only reached the develop stage and did not continue to the disseminate stage, because at develop only, the objectives of this research had been achieved. The method used in this research is validation conducted by media experts and material experts, which shows that this media can be applied properly. The validation results from material experts were 91% and 97%, while validation from media experts showed a percentage of 68% and 81%, which means that the developed product is feasible to be applied in the learning process. The use of interactive media such as Wordwall games is very important to improve student understanding and make learning more interesting. Suggestions for improvement from media experts related to aspects that can increase student attractiveness, such as the use of consistent colors and clear instructions or covers. It is hoped that this learning media can create learning that is more interactive, effective, and interesting and in accordance with student needs.

From Artifacts to Interactivity: Optimizing Museum Outreach through Technology and Inclusivity

With the development of society, people are paying more and more attention to cultural protection, and museums have become the core of protecting and sharing cultural heritage. Today's museums are not just exhibition halls. They are educational centers and social spaces that help cultivate a sense of history, cultural identity, and community cohesion. However, many traditional museum practices are difficult to attract modern audiences, especially young tourists who pursue immersive experiences. This study analyzed the influencing factors of well-organized and well-designed promotional activities in museums, with a focus on exploring how to strengthen the role of museums as educational, social, and cultural resources. By studying core principles such as structured planning, creativity, and feasibility, this article provides feasible suggestions for strengthening museum promotion strategies. With the integration of modern technology, enhanced interactivity, and widespread use of digital media and targeted activities, museums have the opportunity to expand their audience, cultivate sustained connections, and promote cultural diversity. The study ultimately emphasizes the value of strategic external connections and positions museums as active contributors to cultural dialogue. These perspectives aim to help museums adapt to technological advancements, change public expectations, and lay the foundation for further research on digital participation, visitor protection, and international cultural exchange.
