Research Based on State Monitoring of CNC Machine Tools Intelligent Security System

Analyse the cause of fault in CNC Machine, research the corresponding solve scheme, and to realize the state can monitor equipment operation, improve equipment reliability, the development set of machine condition monitoring, fault warning, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting as one of the intelligent security system. Based on the CNC machine intelligence support system research, design, introduces the key technologies and methods. Screw lift state of motion monitoring, for example, trend analysis exercise state, intelligent fault diagnosis, in order to achieve protection of the intelligent CNC machine tools to verify the practicality of intelligent security systems.

GSM Intelligent Home Security System Based on MCU

In order to improve the security of home, an intelligent home security alarm system based on Micro-programmed Control Unit (MCU) has been designed in this paper, which can monitor the doors and windows, and communicate with intrusion alarm system by using GSM. Practical measured results indicate that this system can complete the function of home security alarm, which has a strong practical popularize value.In order to improve the security of home, an intelligent home security system based on MCU has been designed in this paper, which realizes en-mg checking, password storage, sound/short message warning service and real-time monitoring through GSM network. The hardware and software designs are illustrated in the paper. Finally, the test is carried out and the results indicate that the functions of system have achieved the design goal.

Team Mobile Robots Based Intelligent Security System

The article develops a team mobile robots based intelligent security system being applied in home automation. The detection modules of the system include active security modules and passive security modules. The control unit of all security modules (active security modules and passive security modules) is HOLTEK microchip. The paper focuses on the active security modules (mobile robots). Mobile robots are classified more and more teams according to th e detection functions. Each team robot system includes many mobile robots to execute the same event detection. Each mobile robot has two variety interfaces, uses voice module to alarm users for event condition, and transmits the real-time event signals to the superv ised computer and the other mobile robots via wireless RF interface. If the event occurs, the mobile robot can transmit the relation location (floor number) of the event to the supervised computer. The supervised computer decides the location of the event according the feedback signals from mobile robots, controls the other mobile robots moving to the event location, and recognizes the final decision outp ut using Dempster-Shafter Evidence Theory. The belief value is over the threshold value and displays detection and decision output values on the monitor of the user interface. Finally, we present some experimental results using the team mobile robots for the fire detection and gas leakage detection on the experimental platform of the intelligent security system.

The Intelligent Home Gated Security and Defense System Design with Intelligent Materials Based on GSM Module TC35

The system used the sensor technology, the intelligent materials and wireless communication technology to achieve intelligent security and defense systems. It finished the remote monitoring for home appliances. The master STC12C5A60S2 SCM takes charge of the work of various sensors. The intelligent materials are embedded in the facilities can adapt to the environment and feel. Once an electric equipment is abnormal, they can diagnose the problems, adjust the equipments or send text messages or call of the situation to the owner automatically. He/She can make appropriate and timely protective measures. In addition, the owner can view the images in the camera acquisition for the home by his/her phone. It should be applied widely.

Intelligent Security System with Wireless Sensors

Wireless sensor networks emphasize in most of the real world applications such as military applications, medical field and home appliances and so on. Sensors used in such applications do not provide any confidentiality, however it is been used in almost all the areas in our day-to-day life. Usually sensors were used in buildings after the construction. This work presents a solution which ensures security using sensors in building constructions. In particular, this work proposes an intelligent method that provides security for banking purpose.

Emergency Detection Method using Motion History Image for a Video-based Intelligent Security System

This paper proposed a method that detects emergency situations in a video stream using MHI (Motion History Image) and template matching for a video-based intelligent security system. The proposed method creates a MHI of each human object through image processing technique such as background removing based on GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model), labeling and accumulating the foreground images, then the obtained MHI is compared with the existing MHI templates for detecting an emergency situation. To evaluate the proposed emergency detection method, a set of experiments on the dataset of video clips captured from a security camera has been conducted. And we successfully detected emergency situations using the proposed method. In addition, the implemented system also provides MMS (Multimedia Message Service) so that a security manager can deal with the emergency situation appropriately.

Design of Intelligent Vehicle Security and Immobilization System

An integrated system is proposed of base station module, key module and tire modules, in order to overcome the independence of tire pressure monitor system, remote keyless entry and immobilization of engine. Tire modules or key module communicate base station module with UHF frequency signal of 434MHZ. The transponder PCF7961 in key module and PJF7992 in base station module authenticate mutually with LF frequency signal of 125KHZ. The result is shown that the system can improve the security and controllability of cars, compress system redundancy, reduce produce costs and optimize the skeleton network.

Intelligent Security System for HMI in SCADA Applications

 Abstract—Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are vital components of most nations' critical infrastructures. They control pipelines, water and transportation systems, utilities, refineries, chemical plants, and a wide variety of manufacturing operations. SCADA provides managing the real-time data on production operations, implements more efficient control paradigms, improves plant and personnel safety, and reduces costs of operation. These benefits are made possible by the use of standard hardware and software in SCADA systems combined with improved communication protocols and increased connectivity to outside networks, including the Internet. However, these benefits are acquired at the price of increased vulnerability to attacks or erroneous actions from a variety of external and internal sources. This paper focuses on suggesting a user security on the basis of roles assigned to multi users with the help of password and biometrics with iris recognition security. Recommending a role based hierarchy to allow users access system according to their capabilities in the particular application.

Multi-robot-based intelligent security system

This article describes a multiple security module-based intelligent security system that has multiple communication interfaces which can be applied in home automation. The interfaces of the intelligent security system contain wired RS485, wireless RF, and Internet. The detection modules of the system have both active and passive security modules. The passive security modules contain wired security modules and wireless security modules. The control unit of all security modules is a HOLTEK microchip. Each security module has two different interfaces. They use voice modules to alarm users of an event, and to transmit real-time event signals to the supervising computer via the wired RS485 or wireless RF interface. If an event occurs, the supervising computer calculates its belief values using Dempster-Shafter evidence theory according to the passive wired and wireless security modules. If the belief value is over a set threshold, the supervising computer commands the mobile robot to move to the event location, and receives a signal from the mobile robot via the wireless RF interface. The supervising computer recognizes the final decision output using Dempster-Shafter evidence theory, and displays the detection and decision output values on the monitor of the user interface. Finally, we present some experimental results using wired passive security modules, wireless passive security modules, and active security modules for fire detection and gas leakage detection using the experimental platform of the intelligent security system.

Intelligent security systems engineering for modeling fire critical incidents: Towards sustainable security

An intelligent security systems engineering approach is used to analyze fire and explosive critical incidents, a growing concern in urban communities. A feed-forward back-propagation neural network models the damages arising from these critical incidents. The overall goal is to promote fire safety and sustainable security. The intelligent security systems engineering prediction model uses a fully connected multilayer neural network and considers a number of factors related to the fire or explosive incident including the type of property affected, the time of day, and the ignition source. The network was trained on a large number of critical incident records reported in Toronto, Canada between 2000 and 2006. Our intelligent security systems engineering approach can help emergency responders by improving critical incident analysis, sustainable security, and fire risk management.

Developing a module-based security system for an intelligent home

The security system in a workplace or home is important to human life. Unlucky events are often caused by the negligence of humans. We have developed a modulebased security system for home automation. The structure of the security system contains many modules. Each module has two types of interface (wireless RF and speech). There are active and passive modules in the security system. The active security module is a smart robot. We have designed many types of smart robot for the security system. The passive security modules include a fire security module, an intruder security module, an environment security module, a gas security module, an AC power security module, and an appliance control module. In the security module, we use multisensor fusion algorithms to decide the exact output. In these modules, we use a two-wire communication method through the wireless RF interface, and a voice alarm for serious events, and transmit the real-time status to the supervised computer. In the smart robot system, we have designed many types of smart robot for the security system. We have designed a general user interface (GUI) for the intelligent security system. The user interface can supervise these modules and the smart robots via the wireless RF device, and supervise the security system via wireless, Internet, and cell phone.

The objective of the home security detection and appliance control system is to protect occupants against events -- many of which are attributable to human error. We have developed a module based security system for home automation. The structure of the security system is divided into many modules. Each module in the home -- automation security system we develop has a wireless RF and a speech interface. They contain fire detection module, intruder detection module, environment detection module, gas detection module, (AC) power detection and diagnosis module, appliance control module and team robots. In the security detection module, we use multisensor fusion algorithms to decide an exact output. In the application control module, we use two-wire communication via wireless RF interface. These modules have event-condition voice alarms, and send the real-time status to the master controller. In the smart team robot system, we have designed many smart robots for the security system. We have designed a general user interface (GUI) for the intelligent security system. The user interface can supervise these modules and team robots via wireless RF interface, and use wireless Internet and mobile phone for remote supervision.

Tracking Method of Moving Object by Dynamic Image Processing Based on Radial Reach Filter

This paper proposes a new robust tracking method to the moving object on image. Recently, technique of image processing to detect and track the moving object on time series images is important subject in the fields of intelligent transport systems and security systems. In the past, it was difficult to detect the moving object by the effect of changes in brightness which caused by the sunlight and so on. In order to solve this problem, some methods have been proposed. However, they are needed a background image or a template of the moving object. In here, we propose new detection and tracking methods based on Radial Reach Filter, and then introduce the process which recognizes situation of the moving object. Usefulness of our method is shown through experiments based on the real images.

An intelligent proactive security system for cyber centres using Cognitive Agents

The computers at cyber centres are vulnerable. They can be used for various illegal activities. Only the system-level security solutions are not sufficient to prevent these activities completely. There is a need for an intelligent scheme which identifies culprits based on behaviours and actions. This paper proposes an intelligent and environment based proactive security system for cyber centres, using cognitive agents. The agents are used for belief generation, belief analysis and to execute suitable security actions and pro-actions. This method of controlling the cyber crime at usage level, will be the requisite step towards preventing Internet abuse.

Improved Update Step for Scalable Video Coding in Video Surveillance

Many evolving video services and applications for intelligent security systems require reliable transmission of high quality video to diverse clients over heterogeneous networks using available system resources. Scalable video coding (SVC) is one of the emerging video compression technologies with such potential capabilities. Advances in lifting-based motion-compensated temporal filtering (MCTF) have enabled highly efficient and flexible spatial, temporal, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and complexity scalability to be realized over a wide range of bit rates. In this paper, we present an algorithm to improve the update step of MCTF, which serves as an important informative step for the coding performance of SVC. A novel update-step algorithm, which takes advantage of the chrominance information of the video sequence and the correlation of the motion vectors (MVs) of the neighboring blocks as well as the correlation of the derived update MVs in the low-pass frames, is proposed to improve update step of MCTF by (1) computing correct update motion information, (2) generating correct amount of energy contained in the high-pass frames. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the quality of the reconstructed video sequence in visual quality.

Special Issue on VLSI Computing for Real-World Intelligent Systems

Recently, intelligent systems are desired to support human in real world such as advanced safe vehicles, home service robots, wearable computing devices, and intelligent home security systems. Such intelligent systems require extremely high computational power that exceeds that of state-of-the-art microprocessors. They also require <ul><li>Low power consumption</li><li>Low latency from input to output</li><li>Compactness</li></ul> Special-purpose processors called ""system LSIs"" play an essential role in meeting these requirements. This special issue focuses on the latest advances in system LSIs for real-world intelligent systems. One of their most important tasks is sensing environmental information such as visual information. Image and angle sensors, for example, are implemented in system LSIs. Image processing is the most time-consuming in real-world intelligent systems due to the extremely large amount of data. To overcome this problem, novel parallel architectures are presented. Electrical wires between processing modules must be minimized to make intelligent systems compact. High-speed serial data transfer is one most effective way to minimize the electrical wires. An architecture that handles processing order based on task priorities is a key to low latency. Processing of human interfaces such as face detection and speech recognition are also important factors in making intelligent systems user-friendly.
