Ports play a critical role in the global economy, acting as vital links within international transportation networks. Their efficiency and effectiveness directly impact the performance of global supply chains. This paper examines the intersection of port logistics and supply chain management (SCM) through an empirical lens. We review existing research to explore how SCM principles can be applied to enhance port operations and overall supply chain performance. The paper begins by outlining the evolving role of ports in today's globalized trade environment. It then delves into the core concepts of SCM and their relevance to port management. Integrating Information Technology and Transformational Leadership for Improved Employee Performance in Public Service

Several factors influence the performance of Service Employees, both external and internal. Therefore, this research aims to find out how the use of Information Technology affects the performance of Service Employees, to find out how the transformational leadership style affects the Performance of Service Employees, to find out how the Use of Information Technology and transformational leadership style affects the performance of employees at the Magetan Population and Civil Registration Service. This quantitative research was conducted at the Magetan Population and Civil Registry Service in 2024. Data was collected through documents and questionnaires, with validity and reliability tests on 81 respondents. Research data was analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The research results show that the use of information technology influences the performance of service employees, and the transformational leadership style influences the performance of service employees. Information technology and transformational leadership style significantly affect KKN learning achievement at the Magetan Population and Civil Registry Service. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that department heads improve employee performance by implementing a transformational leadership style and learning to utilize information technology to develop employee performance.

Determinants of Tax Evasion in the Perspective of Enforcement, Psychology, Trust, and Services

ABSTRACT Indonesia’s scant tax ratio underscores a grave issue of tax evasion. Past studies have scrutinized tax evasion through distinct lenses, yet this fragmented approach is beset with limitations, hampering its efficacy in preempting tax evasion conduct. This study endeavors to amalgamate these perspectives to scrutinize the determinants of tax evasion comprehensively. Employing a quantitative methodology, a questionnaire was disseminated between April and August 2023, yielding 236 valid responses from individual taxpayers. Data analysis encompassed descriptive analysis, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), and hypothesis testing. Findings reveal an interplay among the four dimensions of tax evasion in curbing its incidence. Nevertheless, the moderating influence of demographics on this relationship proved nonsignificant. Conversely, the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) bolsters the efficacy of the service perspective in mitigating tax evasion. Thus, a nuanced understanding of tax evasion necessitates a multifaceted approach. Furthermore, ICT adoption emerges as a potent instrument in fortifying the impact of the service perspective on curtailing tax evasion, urging governmental and tax regulatory bodies to consider leveraging ICT to bolster tax compliance.

The Effect of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Service Quality with Technology Utilization on Educational Institutional Performance through Stakeholder Satisfaction

This study aims to analyze the effect of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and service quality with the use of technology on the performance of educational institutions at the National University, with stakeholder satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research methodology uses a quantitative approach with data collection through surveys to various stakeholders of the National University, including leaders, lecturers, education personnel, students, and parents, with a total sample of 200 people. The results showed that Business Process Reengineering (BPR) significantly improves educational institutions' performance, reflecting increased operational efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality of educational services. In addition, the utilization of appropriate and integrated information technology in educational services also shows a significant influence on the performance of educational institutions, as seen in increased student and staff satisfaction and reduced operational time and costs. Implementing BPR also increases stakeholder satisfaction as more efficient processes and better services meet their expectations and needs. Similarly, service quality with effective utilization of information technology increases stakeholder satisfaction through faster service, easy access to information, and simpler administrative processes. This stakeholder satisfaction, in turn, affects the performance of educational institutions as satisfied stakeholders tend to provide more significant support, thus improving the institution's overall performance. Finally, stakeholder satisfaction mediates the relationship between BPR and service quality and technology utilization in educational institutions' performance, indicating that combining BPR and information technology significantly improves institutional performance through increased stakeholder satisfaction.

Training on Videoscribe-Based HOTS Learning Media Development to Improve the Skills of Teachers

The community service program in the form of training in creating HOTS-based Videoscribe learning media for Al-Azhar Islam Plus Elementary School teachers was initiated to overcome the challenges of suboptimal integration of information technology in the learning process. The distribution of teacher skills regarding technology, which is currently still low, means that many teachers in various schools still need the insight or skills to optimise the use of technology to maximise the classroom learning system. This training program aims to increase Al-Azhar Islam Plus Elementary School teachers' understanding of HOTS material for elementary school students and build teachers' skills in operating Videoscribe Sparkol software to create learning media. This training program was carried out in a structured manner using the ABCD method. During its implementation, several stages of training were carried out, namely, holding interactive workshops related to HOTS material and Videoscribe Sparkol software, group discussions, and direct practice sessions. Videoscribe, an effective learning visualisation tool, is the main focus of the training. This technology is an important means to facilitate students' HOTS development, stimulating critical, analytical and creative thinking. This training program has succeeded in increasing the understanding of Al-Azhar Islam Plus Elementary School teachers regarding HOTS material, as evidenced by the percentage of 83% of teachers who participated in the training getting a score above 80 on the post-test. The teachers at Al-Azhar Islam Plus Elementary School have also succeeded in working together and creating two learning videos using Videoscribe Sparkol software at the end of the training program. The success of this training not only confirms the need for digital literacy for teachers and highlights Videoscribe's significant potential in creating deeper and more memorable learning experiences for students, in line with the evolving needs of contemporary education. This dedication is evidence of constant efforts to perfect the teaching and learning process in the digital era, placing quality and innovation at its core.

Integration of information technologies into innovative teaching methods: Improving the quality of professional education in the digital age

Introduction: modern possibilities of using digital technologies in vocational education are actively used to improve the training of specialists and adapt them to the requirements of the labour market. The purpose of the article is to analyse the integration of information technology into innovative teaching methods and to study the improvement of the quality of vocational education in the digital age. Methodology: the type of research is quantitative. The authors used such scientific methods: comparison and content analysis. The materials were processed from 02.09.2023 to 21.12.2023. A survey of teachers of vocational education institutions (140 people) was also conducted, based on which the main opinions on the state and prospects of digitalisation in this area are presented. Results: it was showed how often and effectively digital technologies are used and what innovative tools teachers use. It is also demonstrated that the difficulties in reforming the material base of education are recognised as extremely significant in Ukrainian reality. The importance of continuous professional development is emphasised, as digital technologies are developing rapidly. Conclusions: it was summarised the results of the study, emphasising that the digitalisation of vocational education aims to ensure the proper development of education in line with the current challenges of the labour market

Mengintegrasikan Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Teknologi Informasi Di Sekolah Dasar

Indonesian education faces problems with improving ethics that can be integrated with Information Technology. It is important to carry out research implementation to develop character-based learning media. This research is descriptive and qualitative with data collection techniques; interviews, observation, and documentation of learning media in schools. Research locations in several elementary schools in Padang City. This research analyses learning media, character education, and the needs of elementary school students. The research results show that students need character-based learning media to strengthen their character values. These findings highlight the importance of character education from an early age in forming a strong moral and ethical foundation. Apart from that, integration of information technology is also a major need for students. By using IT-based learning media, students can dig deeper into their digital competencies. Integrating character into IT-based learning media promises a holistic approach to meeting students' needs not only academically but also in terms of character development and digital literacy. Analysis of character education highlights the urgent need to improve students' character. Incorporating character into learning the media is a powerful tool for forming positive attitudes, behaviour, and values ​​in students. Therefore, the results of this analysis suggest the need to integrate efforts to meet the needs of students at the elementary level in a comprehensive manner. The combination of text-based learning media and information technology is the key to creating a learning environment that answers the needs of the times and produces a competent and ethical generation.

Chronicling participants’ understanding and experiences of integrating ICT into the teaching of geography in South African schools

This article examines geography teachers’, parents’ and learners’ understanding and experiences of the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the teaching of that subject. The study was guided by the TPACK-SAMR model, which proved to be a reliable tool for measuring the extent of ICT integration. The purposive sampling technique that was employed enabled the researchers to identify participants for the research study related to the importance of integrating ICTs into the teaching and learning of geography. The article draws its purpose from the integration of technologies into the teaching of geography as a means of preparing and equipping learners who take this subject with the type of skills required in the 21st-century job market. Surprisingly, the research findings revealed that some teachers still do not feel comfortable to integrate diverse technologies into their teaching of geography, perceiving it as time consuming. Their unwillingness to become digital citizens and conform to the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is a drawback, as are learners’ inappropriate use of ICTs (visiting irrelevant, unwanted sites instead of downloading subject-related content). To empower learners to adopt and use ICTs as valuable tools and solutions on their learning journey drastic changes are required, particularly on the part of curriculum planners in geography.

Structuring and Recommendations for Research on the Construction of Intelligent Multi-Industry and Multihazard Emergency Planning Systems

During production and operation, enterprises are faced with occurrences of production accidents. One of the prerequisites for enterprises to achieve sustainable development is building an intelligent emergency command platform. To establish a scientific and advanced emergency management information system and address the challenges related to managing emergency plans to ensure production safety, such as ambiguous roles and responsibilities, inefficient application processes, independent resources, and slow responses by enterprises with multiple types of operations and disasters, an intelligent emergency command platform was built for multiple types of operations and disasters, and this platform was extended to include rescue steps. The structure and digital management of emergency plans under multiple coupled disasters and multipoint cogeneration were determined. Similar emergency plans were automatically recommended by crawler technology and an SVM algorithm based on a public information data lake, and the effectiveness of the plans was evaluated via a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to promote the preparation of more efficient and scientific emergency plans. Finally, the analysis of pipeline leakage and emergency drill scenarios proved that the system is scientific and reliable. The results are of great significance for improving the deep integration of modern emergency-related information technology and emergency management businesses, promoting institutional and mechanical innovation, to provide a reference for other multibusiness enterprises, wchih can also be integrated into methods for urban safety and rescue.

Implementation Mapping of the Collaborative University of California Teleophthalmology Initiative (CUTI): A Qualitative Study Using the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, and Sustainment (EPIS) Framework.

Background This study aimed to investigate the rationale, barriers, and facilitators of teleretinal camera implementation in primary care and endocrinology clinics for diabetic retinopathy (DR) screening across University of California (UC) health systems utilizing the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, and Sustainment (EPIS) framework. Methodology Institutional representatives from UC Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Davis participated in a series of focus group meetings to elicit implementation facilitators and barriers for teleophthalmology programs within their campuses. Site representatives also completed a survey regarding their program's performance over the calendar year 2022 in the following areas: DR screening camera sites, payment sources and coding, screening workflows including clinical, information technology (IT), reading, results, pathologic findings, and follow-up, including patient outreach for abnormal results. Focus group and survey results were mapped to the EPIS framework to gain insights into the implementation process of these programs and identify areas for optimization. Results Four UC campuses with 20 active camera sites screened 7,450 patients in the calendar year 2022. The average DR screening rate across the four campuses was 55%. Variations between sources of payment, turn-around time, image-grading structure, image-report characteristics, IT infrastructure, and patient outreach strategies were identified between sites. Closing gaps in IT integration between data systems, ensuring the financial sustainability of the program, and optimizing patient outreach remain primary challenges across sites and serve as good opportunities for cross-institutional learning. Conclusions Despite the potential for long-term cost savings and improving access to care, numerous obstacles continue to hinder the widespread implementation of teleretinal DR screening. Implementation science approaches can identify strategies for addressing these challenges and optimizing implementation.

Exploring the impact of web-based inquiry on elementary school students’ science identity development in a STEM learning unit

One of the primary objectives of science education is to cultivate students’ science identity, and evidence points to the efficacy of inquiry-based learning in advancing this objective. Nevertheless, recent concerns have emerged regarding the effectiveness of information technology in supporting scientific research and its impact on students’ science identity. This study explores this domain through a comparative experiment conducted with fifth-grade students at a Chinese elementary school. Utilizing the Web-based Inquiry Science Environment (WISE) and the “Solar Oven” STEM learning unit, it scrutinizes the effects of web-based inquiry and traditional inquiry on students’ science identity development. The findings indicate that web-based inquiry is equally effective as traditional inquiry in fostering students’ science identity, especially in the two dimensions of “recognition” and “performance”. Notably, web-based inquiry surpasses traditional inquiry by significantly improving seven out of eleven assessed indicators, while traditional inquiry improves only four indicators. This research provides valuable insights into how integrating information technology within an inquiry-based learning environment can support Chinese elementary school students in developing their science identity. These results have significant implications for science education by demonstrating that web-based inquiry is a valuable approach for fostering science identity among elementary school students.

Implementation OEE in Integrating Siemens S7-1200 Data with Odoo ERP

The integration of perational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) is crucial for enterprise-level decision-making regarding company effectiveness and productivity. This integration is achieved by developing an integrator system in the form of an API service, which facilitates the connection between Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Odoo Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Integration allows IT systems synergize with OT systems to processing data obtained from the performance of industrial machines. Analysis was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to monitor the company’s production outcomes. A prototype sorting system with PLC for controlling was created as an OEE implementation. The API service acquires data from the plant and performs preliminary analysis in Odoo ERP. The analysis in Odoo ERP is conducted through the development of a manufacturing module that applies the OEE method calculations to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of production procces. Once the calculation result is obtained, these data are monitored on Grafana in the form of pie charts and graphs. This research yielded insight into the design and implementation of an integration system for the bottle sorting process. The result also could be monitored in real-time using Odoo ERP and Grafana. Furthermore, the OEE analysis was matched with manual calculations in order to ensure its validity. Thus, this research enables the production process to be optimized and provides significant benefits to the company.

The study aims to assess the current status of literacy skills, efficacy levels, and preparedness of university administrators in Kwara State regarding the integration of ICT into various administrative tasks and functions. The research methodology involves a comprehensive survey among university administrators across various institutions in Kwara State. The findings will help educational policymakers and stakeholders develop targeted interventions and strategies to enhance capacity building, training programs, and infrastructure development initiatives. The paper also contributes to the existing body of knowledge on ICT integration in educational administration, particularly in the context of Nigerian universities. It highlights the importance of continuous professional development and training to ensure university administrators remain adept at utilizing ICT tools for effective management and decision-making. The paper advocates for targeted interventions, capacity-building initiatives, and infrastructure development efforts to enhance the ICT readiness of university administrators in Kwara State, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of higher education administration in the region.

Exploration of Innovation Strategy in the Deep Integration of Information Technology and Education and Teaching

The rapid development of information technology provides a new opportunity and impetus for the reform of education and teaching. Deep integration of information technology and education and teaching is the only way to promote the modernization of education. Starting from the connotation of the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching, this paper analyzes the existing problems in the current integration process, and puts forward innovative strategies from the aspects of concept, resources, model, and evaluation. IT/OT Integration by Design

AbstractThe four Industry 4.0 design principles information transparency, technical assistance, interconnection and decentralized decisions pose challenges in integrating Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) solutions in industrial systems. These different solutions have conflicting requirements, making interfaces between them problematic for both systems and organizations. An Industrial Business Process Twin (IBPT) entity, acting as an intermediary between the realms of IT and OT, has been proposed in a previous work, to effectively reduce the amount of required IT/OT interfaces in an attempt of overcoming this situation. In this work, we investigate the effects of this approach during the design phase. We argue that, by eliminating potentially conflicting direct interfaces between IT and OT stakeholders within the organizational structure, this approach effectively eliminates conflicting communication channels within the system design. To verify our argument, we develop a model of our IBPT concept according to the Reference Architecture Model Industrie 4.0 (RAMI4.0) using an Industry 4.0 scenario addressing the four essential Industry 4.0 design principles. Results show that the IBPT approach indeed eliminates potentially conflicting IT/OT interfaces during the system design phase.

Abstract In order to bring in the latest progress in theory, technology and application in the fields of electrical engineering and information technology at home and abroad in recent years, and show the latest research achievements, 2024 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Information Technology (ECITech 2024) was held from January 19th to 21st, 2024 in Xiamen, China via virtual form. It was attended by about 120 participants from different countries and regions. At this conference we had a comprehensive overview of this fascinating field and of future scenarios thanks to the participation of distinguished delegates around the globe, including Prof. Hamid Reza Karimi (Politecnico di Milano, Italy), Prof. Mouquan Shen (Nanjing Tech University, China), Assoc. Prof. Jamaludin Jalani (Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Malaysia), and Assoc. Prof. Wenfeng Hu (Central South University, China). The experts performed wonderful keynote speeches, and the participants raised questions based on the speeches and interacted with the speakers and people around, leading to a heated discussion on the latest research findings and trends in related fields. As one of the important outcomes of ECITech 2024, this proceedings contains excellent academic contributions from all over the world, demonstrating the latest research results and innovative ideas in this field. These papers not only cover theoretical explorations of electrical, control and information technology, but also numerous practical application cases, which provide us with valuable experiences and insights. In this collection of papers, the authors, with profound academic background and keen insight, have discussed the hot issues in the field of electrical, control and information technology in depth. They have systematically analyzed and elaborated on the latest advances in electrical engineering, innovative applications of control theory, and the integration and development of information technology from different perspectives and at different levels. Opportunities of Digital Technologies in The Healthcare System

This article explores the necessity and possibilities of implementing digital technologies in information exchange processes within healthcare institutions. The development level of the healthcare system in the Republic of Uzbekistan from 2000 to 2022 is analyzed, emphasizing the importance of integrating information technologies in medical facilities to address various issues in this field. An algorithm for creating, structuring, collecting, processing, analyzing, and disseminating medical information in healthcare institutions is proposed based on literature data. Using this algorithm, an automation program for managing medical documents in healthcare institutions is suggested, opening up new possibilities.

Causes and Consequences of Cyberbullying Against Women in Bangladesh: A Comprehensive Study

Cyberbullying has emerged as a significant threat to women in Bangladesh, with the digital realm becoming a new battleground for harassment and intimidation. With the rapid advancement and widespread integration of information and communication technology (ICT), a unique form of wrongdoing has emerged within the virtual realm of the internet. This phenomenon, commonly referred to as cyberbullying, has gained widespread prevalence, particularly on social media platforms, where individuals readily participate in activities such as verbal abuse, dissemination of false information, and propagation of hate speech. In the context of Digital Bangladesh, where the use of the internet and social media is experiencing rapid growth, cyberbullying has become a frequent and noteworthy occurrence. The consequences of cyberbullying are enduring and multifaceted. This article seeks to explore the global issue of cyberbullying, with a specific focus on the situation in Digital Bangladesh, particularly concerning women. The primary aim of this article is to scrutinize cyberbullying, comprehending its underlying causes and investigating its widespread consequences. Additionally, the article directs attention to the legislative measures in Bangladesh designed to address this global issue and examines how the country is addressing cyberbullying in the current and forthcoming periods. The insights derived from this study can serve as a valuable reference for young individuals, educators, lawmakers, advocates, and concerned citizens, offering them a comprehensive understanding of the prevailing cyberbullying landscape in Digital Bangladesh.
