Relevance of migration issues and the need for the development of the state policy in the indicated sphere have appeared shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Starting from the 1990s, the migration sphere has witnessed multiple changes that affected, inter alia, the features of migrant adaptation and integration in the Russian environment. The development of the social life and economic relations has resulted in the origination of new demands of the society and new goals for migrant arrival in the Russian Federation. In 2022 alone, 3.47 million migrants arrived in the country, which is by 871 thousand people more than in 2021. The development of migration predetermines the importance of the assurance of security of the society and avoidance of an increase in the number of offenses and crimes, application of mechanisms that ensure protection of interests of each society member and elimination of conflicts between representatives of different ethnic groups, which is impossible without migrant adaptation and integration in the Russian society including in the cultural and ideological aspect. In this article, the author presents an analysis of measures implemented within the framework of the migration policy for adaptation and integration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, offers areas of solution of cultural and ideological problems encountered by migrants, the society and state in the course of adaptation and integration.
