Ukraine — NATO: results of 2021

The article analyzes the publications Ukrainian and foreign media on Ukraine's accession to The North Atlantic Treaty Organization also called the North Atlantic Alliance, the positions of the US, NATO, and Russian Federation leaders relatively to strategic course of Euro-Atlantic integration of our country.
 The aspirations of our state and the support of Ukraine by the leaders of the Allied countries cover the content of the publications of some Ukrainian mass media on the activities of the Ukrainian authorities on the issue of Euro-Atlantic orientation. The article shows position of the Russian Federation, its readiness to carry out armed aggression against Ukraine if our country joins NATO.

Effect of Best Possible Self Writing Activities on Preservice Teachers' Attitudes towards Technology Integration.

Preservice teachers’ attitudes towards technology integration influence their motivation for and future behavior in teaching, but effective interventions to modify attitudes towards technology integration are scarce in teacher education programs. This quasi-experimental study redesigned and integrated one of the most widely used positive psychology interventions—Best Possible Self (BPS)—for use in a stand-alone technology integration course to measure its effect in improving preservice teachers’ attitudes towards technology integration. While results show no statistically significant difference between the control and treatment groups, the treatment group had more positive trends (significant increase in positive attitudes) than the control group (no significant increase in positive attitudes) even under the negative influence of pandemic. The results of this study suggest a need for continued development of and research on this type of activity.

Exploration and Practice of Integrating 1+X Ertificate System into Curriculum Standard

At the time of comprehensively deepening the education reform, 1+X certificate system is an important institutional innovation and reform of vocational education in China. Integrating 1+X certificate system into professional curriculum standards can achieve the goal of cultivating high-quality compound technical talents, which has put forward new requirements for current vocational education. This paper focuses on the pillar industry of Jilin Province, expounds the selection method of 1+X certificate, and practices the integration of the professional skill level certificate of Automotive IoT’s Testing and Operations (intermediate level) into the course of< Intelligent Transportation Technology>, which provides reference for the improvement of talent training quality of automobile intelligent technology major in higher vocational colleges and the “Integration of Course and Certificate”.

ДЖЕРЕЛА, ХАРАКТЕР ЗАГРОЗ ТА ВИКЛИКІВ НА ДЕРЖАВНОМУ КОРДОНІ УКРАЇНИ

Taking into account the main trends and consequences of deep transformations of the geopolitical and geoeconomic space, there was a need to conduct thorough research in the field of ensuring the border security of our state, as a component of national security, as well as defining a clear place and role of the subjects of its guarantee in the course of the implementation of the specified function, especially with the emergence of new types of threats, in particular, the military aggression of the Russian Federation, which on February 24, 2022 entered the phase of open confrontation against Ukraine, its temporary occupation of the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Kherson region and a number of other territories of our state. In turn, there was an urgent need to justify the structure and content of the modern model of border security as the basis for the further development of the State Border Service of Ukraine, in addition, for Ukraine, the issue of border security, given the course of Euro-Atlantic integration and the latest expansion of the European Union, the geopolitical position of Ukraine determines the the fact that the borders of our state play an important and universally recognized role in the formation of the pan-European security system. It should be noted that the interests of Ukraine and the European community regarding the management of common borders certainly coincide. This is the provision of reliable protection of long stretches of the state border of Ukraine; unhindered legal crossing of the border by citizens and vehicles at checkpoints along with a high level of control procedures; proper management of migration flows; effective counteraction to manifestations of organized cross-border crime, etc. Our state supports the creation of a fundamentally new European security system based on non-power (political, economic, social, energy, environmental, informational, etc.) aspects. Thus, it is necessary to justify the structure and content of the border security model, which is the basis for the formation and implementation of modern border policy of the European model, in particular, bringing the border legislation of Ukraine to the norms of European law; ensuring the readiness of human resources; technical re-equipment; achievement of the state-of-the-art infrastructure of the state border; information integration; a qualitatively new level of cross-border cooperation. In view of the above, the article develops the conceptual principles of border security of Ukraine, its border policy, as well as the mechanism of their implementation. Completion of the above-mentioned tasks will contribute to the implementation of Ukraine's strategic course for integration into the European Union and will ensure an increase in the effectiveness of the State Border Service of Ukraine in the field of ensuring the national interests of the state in general and at the state border in particular.

АНТИКОРУПЦІЙНА ПОЛІТИКА В КОНТЕКСТІ ЄВРОІНТЕГРАЦІЇ УКРАЇНИ

The necessity and relevance of the study of the experience of formation and implementation of anti-corruption policy in the EU member states in order to implement it in Ukraine, due to its European integration vector of development is substantiated. The essence and causes of corruption depending on the spheres of society, as well as the characteristics of corruption in Ukraine and its impact on the economic and social parameters of the country, resulting in lower living standards. The existing models of perception of corruption in the world and the main strategies of anti-corruption activity are described. It is proved that the choice of strategy and model of anti-corruption activities in each country depends on many factors, and Ukraine's European integration course requires harmonization of national anti-corruption legislation with EU standards. The main causes of corruption in EU member states and features of anti-corruption policy of some European countries are analyzed. It has been shown that corruption is more or less common to almost all EU countries, however, common to all countries in terms of formation and implementation of anti-corruption policy is that it aims to minimize opportunities for corruption offenses. It is established that the basis of the anti-corruption policy of the Scandinavian EU member states is the concept of public administration "Good Governance", which combines institutions, processes and mechanisms through which citizens express their interests and exercise legal rights. It was found that EU countries do not pursue a common anti-corruption policy, and each country develops its own anti-corruption infrastructure, which aims to minimize opportunities for corruption offenses. It is proved that the insufficient effectiveness of the mechanisms of the state anti-corruption policy makes it impossible to carry out structural reforms on the way to full membership of Ukraine in the EU. Priority areas for further formation and implementation of anti-corruption policy in Ukraine have been identified, taking into account European integration aspirations and existing international standards.

Teaching phronesis in a research integrity course

More and more research institutions are implementing courses in research integrity (RI). Recent studies indicate that teachers of RI courses are increasingly adopting a “phronetic” approach to their teaching, where the focus is on nurturing values and practical wisdom—what Aristotle called phronesis. When adopting a phronetic approach, it is important to understand what phronesis in relation to RI entails and how and to what extent an RI course can contribute to the development of research phronesis. This paper contains a practice-based discussion of the realistic aims of RI courses and a first step towards a specification of the skill set necessary for developing research phronesis drawing on experiences from the PhD courses on Responsible Conduct of Research at the University of Copenhagen. We discuss the limited extent to which research phronesis can be taught in short courses and examine the broader implications of this for the role of RI courses in the training of good researchers.

Civic education as a factor in overcoming absenteeism in Ukraine

This publication examines the features of the manifestations of political absenteeism and public activism in Ukrainian society. The phenomenon, causes of political absenteeism and its impact on the socio-political life in Ukraine are studied, as well as the ways to reduce absenteeism tendencies in our society are identified. Particular attention is placed on the spread of political absenteeism among young people and other age groups, which led to low turnout in the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019 and the lowest turnout for the entire history of Ukraine in local elections in October 2020. It is shown that the introduction of foreign experience in overcoming of political absenteeism will allow to identify effective ways to reduce this phenomenon in Ukrainian society. The authors also study the phenomenon of public activism. It is noted that it gained special momentum during the Euromaidan, when political activity of citizens increased sharply against the background of total corruption in all branches of government, accompanied by a backdown from European integration course, the collapse of the army against the background of strengthening law enforcement agencies. The occupation of Crimea and Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine led to the development of volunteer battalions and volunteer movements. The authors note that in recent years the activity of citizens has focused primarily on solving pressing problems of local importance, in particular on combating illegal construction, protecting entrepreneurs from the arbitrariness of local authorities. To support the development of civic activism in Ukraine, different educational projects, online courses, trainings etc were organized. The state of public activism in Ukraine is analyzed, in particular - at the local level, aimed at establishing a real civil society, strengthening the influence of local communities to solve local problems, offers ways to improve the political culture of citizens.

Методичні засади формування екологічної компетентності під час навчання інтегрованого курсу «пізнаємо природу»

The article examines the issue of the formation of environmental competence as a part of nature study for students, and represents the model program of T.V. Korshevniuk “Experience the Nature”. 5-6 grades (integral course)” for institutions of general secondary education.The goal of the research is to substantiate the methodological basis of the formation of the students’ environmental competence while studying under the new model program. To achieve the goal, general scientific and special research methods were used (analysis, synthesis, systematization, comparison, and generalization) to uncover to what extent the issue is explored. It is clarified that the model program fully meets one of the requirements of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education for the level of the formation of the environmental competence through acquired skills. The importance of the development of the environmental competence of pupils is accentuated; it involves the abilities to investigate and highlight the ecological aspects of any human activity, to assess the consequences of anthropological influence, to understand the biological ground of rational nature management and protection, to comprehend the need of balancing the necessities for comfortable living of humanity with the possibilities of environmental resources to satisfy it. The types of educational activities that involve direct contact with natural objects are offered: pre-planning and observing a natural object (for choice of a teacher); pre-planning and experimenting (for choice of a teacher), etc. It is pointed out that such types of practical activities lead to the creation of the ability to explain the value of nature and knowledge about it as well as traits of character and human qualities helpful in learning about nature. The unified approach to the study of inanimate nature objects and living organisms is suggested, which emphasizes their equivalence within the ecosystem and the equivalence of all environmental components without exception. It is stated that this is a way to line up the value hierarchy of students and the place of ecological and co-evolutionary values within it, which is one of the bases of the formation of the environmental competence.

Громадянське суспільство в добу кризи режиму "нормалізації" та генезису євроатлантичного курсу Чехословаччини

The article is devoted to the history of Czechoslovak civil society and its important component – dissidents. The process of the independent initiatives and structures wide spectrum creation, which were in opposition to the regime of “normalization” is considered, as well as their influence on the process of democratic transit and determination of the integration course. Typology and program’s directions of this structure and the causes of polyvariance and controversiality in points of view are analyzed. The article draws special attention to the replacement of the paradigm of opposition work – the transition from political activity to the conception of «antipolitical policy». The level of the main components of the democratic movement influence, «Charter-77» on the social and political process during the researched period is determined. One of its consequences was the emergence of protostructures of the «parallel society». In Czechoslovakia the «parallel society» operated under the strong influence of state structures. It was forced to distance itself from political issues. Nevertheless, the structures of the «parallel society» and its «nonpolitical policy» turned out to provide a significant system of ideas and organizational initiatives. It was capable of transforming the society, which was stagnant in the final years of the policy of «normalization». It also promoted the future emergence of democratic structures. On the basis of the political and legal experience in Czechoslovakia is proved the interdependence of civil society and democratic processes activity. The author emphasizes that the transition into a full European Union and NATO members was the result of a long, difficult and controversial process of «European Come Back». This process started after the Velvet Revolution victory and allowed the leadership of the countries with the support of the «third sector» to manage a number of problems in the social-political and military-technical spheres. The participation principles of civil society and its organizations in public life, in the decision-making process at the state level, and reasons for the decline of activism in the political culture of the population are considered.

ЕКОНОМІЧНІ ТРАНСФОРМАЦІЇ УКРАЇНИ В УМОВАХ ВОЄННОЇ АГРЕСІЇ РОСІЇ

The relevance of the topic of scientific research is due to the need for an in-depth analysis of Ukraine's economic transformations in the context of Russia's military aggression for the possibility of accelerated integration into the EU structures.The purpose of the scientific article is to develop theoretical, methodological provisions and practical recommendations for political economic transformations in Ukraine in the conditions of Russia's military aggression.&nbsp; The article uses the method of a systematic approach in analyzing the main directions of transformation of the Ukrainian economy during the war and after its completion, as well as methods of analysis and comparison in the isolation of certain economic and legal factors that stimulate or restrain the potential of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.The article highlights the main political and economic reforms that need to be implemented in Ukraine for the implementation of European integration. Particular attention is paid to the need and possibility of granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for the European Union. All ongoing political and economic reforms in Ukraine must be coordinated with the changes taking place in the EU. Deepening the market transformation of the Ukrainian economy requires the approval of the regulatory framework, the completion of the process of forming an effective market infrastructure in thecountry, and the training of personnel capable of working in the new conditions. It is also important in this regard to strengthen the institution of private property, protect national capital, stimulate entrepreneurship and small businesses.The article analyzes the current political economic problems of the national economy in the conditions of Russian military aggression. The authors of the article consider the main directions of reforming the Ukrainian economy in the context of the implementation of the European integration course of Ukraine.The article identifies certain economic and legal factors that stimulate or hinder the potential of a future agreement on Ukraine's accession to the EU. Ukraine must solve all the tasks of economic transformation in the conditions of unsustainable development of the national economy caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Формирование ноосферного мировоззрения у обучающихся неязыковых вузов в процессе обучения иностранному языку

The importance of developing a noospheric approach to teaching a foreign language in the conditions of modern requirements for education in a non-linguistic university and the formation of a noospheric worldview among students of non-linguistic universities in the process of teaching a foreign language is defined. The concept of noospheric education, a complex learning process aimed at deep assimilation of systemic humanitarian and natural science knowledge, is studied. The solution of the research problem is based on theoretical, methodological and practical issues that are examined. Attention is focused on a new system of knowledge, the acquisition of which is carried out on the basis of the principle of interdisciplinary integration when creating an integrative course “Foreign language and the scientific picture of the world”. A nomenclature of knowledge and skills to be acquired when teaching a foreign language based on the noospheric approach is developed. It is noted that interdisciplinary integration is carried out on the basis of an integrated subject content, selection of conditions, principles, methods and educational technologies for teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university.

Human and society. Didactic materials for independent work of 10th grade students of educational institutions

The series of publications was prepared on the basis of a teaching manual addressed to 10th grade schoolchildren of schools studying the integrative course “Social Studies” (section “Man and Society”), and is a set of materials for independent work. The content of the manual fully meets the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards of Basic General Education and work programs for secondary (complete) education in social studies. The presented theoretical and practical material reveals the main aspects of social life: the essence and functional characteristics of consciousness and activity, ideas about society and social institutions as a system, types of societies, views on culture as a cumulative spiritual experience and “collective memory”, its main institutions — science, religion, morality, education, art. Particular attention is paid to the definition of social progress and global problems of mankind.

Підвищення ефективності реалізації ініціативи Східного партнерства в Україні

The article examines the effectiveness of implementing the Eastern Partnership (EP) initiative in Ukraine using the SWOT analysis methodology. It is noted that from the EP the participating countries expect new opportunities for economic development, reforming the internal political sphere, attracting investment, resolving regional conflicts, and so on. The strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of reforms in Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the European integration course and the implementation of the association agreement with the EU are highlighted. It is determined that the strengths of Ukraine as the addressee of the EP are an extensive system of coordination of efforts in implementing reforms and their support by the European Union. Attention is focused on the weak (systemic, institutional and situational) aspects of the implementation of this initiative. Based on the EP Index data, the state of implementation of reforms in Ukraine is assessed. It is concluded that the effectiveness of the implementation of the EP initiative in Ukraine is insufficient, because it is taking place in the conditions of: first, Russia’s opposition to this process; second, the growth of political and economic instability, slow reforms and democratic backwardness, corruption, etc.; third, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in eastern Ukraine. Recommendations were developed to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU within the framework of EP. Contradictory conflicts between these factors, their interrelation and interdependence slow down the implementation of Ukraine’s declared European integration aspirations. Consequently, the prospects for further scientific research will be to find out the specifics of promoting reforms in the “Associated trio” format, as the countries that are the recipients of EP initiative, which today demonstrate the most progressive dynamics in terms of ongoing reforms and relations with the EU.

«Интеграционный проект» Э. Макрона и восточноевропейские государства – члены ЕС

The article analyzes the attempts of French president Emmanuel Macron to promote his «European project», which implies the achievement of the «sovereignty» by the Union in the industrial, scientific and technological, food and defense fields, and the attitude of the Eastern European states to this project. It is noted that thanks to the cautious but real support of Germany under A. Merkel, he managed to achieve some success. The new Chancellor O. Scholz is also generally committed to «European integration», particularly in the economic sphere. But the idea of a «European autonomous defense», advocated by E. Macron, does not arouse enthusiasm among the German elites, since after J. Biden comes to power in the United States, they are counting on the restoration of the old transatlantic ties. For this reason, progress in this direction is questionable.However, the main difficulties in the implementation on the «project» of E. Macron are linked to the ambiguous position of the Eastern European EU Member States. Although not all of these states are members of the «Eurozone» or the Schengen agreements, generally they follow the course of common economic integration. At the same time, they critically perceive the concept of «multi-speed Europe», promoted by E. Macron, and hostilely – the idea that the French-German «tandem» should become the «motor» of the integration process. The author also recalls their stubborn resistance to the implementation of a common migration policy. But France’s Eastern European partners are especially wary or even hostile towards E. Macron’s initiatives aimed at promoting the above-mentioned «European autonomous defense». They fear that the implementation of such initiatives will contribute to the weakening of the NATO bloc, which they see as the most important guarantee of their security in the face of the «Russian threat». Obviously, their attitude will continue to have a negative impact on the prospects for such a «European autonomous defense».

Питання геополітичних союзників України у вітчизняній політичній думці першої половини ХХ сторіччя

The article is devoted to the analysis of the coverage of the issue of finding geopolitical partners and allies of Ukraine in the geopolitical teachings of Ukrainian thinkers of the first half of the 20th century. The problems of determining foreign policy priorities and Ukraine’s participation in international alliances in recent decades, the search for reliable partners, foremost in the security sphere, are outlined. It is emphasized that the Revolution of Dignity and Russian aggression crystallized the geopolitical priorities of Ukraine – the course for European and Euro-Atlantic integration was returned to the country’s Constitution, and the Russian geopolitical threat became a fact of the collective consciousness of Ukrainian society. It is noted that the theoretical work of Ukrainian political theorists of the first half of the 20th century has not lost its relevance in our time. Furthermore, it is noted that in the interwar period, the Black Sea region was the geographical space that aroused the greatest interest of Ukrainian geopoliticians and which they considered decisive for the future of the Ukrainian state. In their opinion, the fact that Ukraine is historically a part of the Black Sea-Mediterranean communication space, and also ensured the trade relations of this region with the Baltic States, determines the area of search for partners and allies. However, not only countries located in the region are among Ukraine’s potential allies, but also states that have significant geopolitical and economic interests there. The attitude of theorists of Ukrainian geopolitics to the idea of the Baltic-Pontic Federation and the list of countries that can join it is analyzed. The Ukrainian thinkers’ understanding of the peculiarities of the attitude towards the idea of the union of the countries of Eastern Europe and the creation of the Ukrainian national state within its ethnographic boundaries of the main geopolitical subjects of Europe – Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Soviet Russia – is revealed. The significance of the interaction of the Ukrainian state with Poland and Romania is emphasized. It is emphasized that the ideas of Ukrainian geopoliticians of the first half of the 20th century have not lost their relevance and require further study and understanding.

"Xingnao Kaiqiao" Acupuncture Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine for Delayed Encephalopathy after Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: A Case Report

Purpose: To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of delayed encephalopathy of carbon monoxide poisoning, to provide basis for the treatment of delayed encephalopathy of carbon monoxide poisoning by traditional Chinese medicine. Method: "Xingnaokaiqiao" acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine was used to treat delayed encephalopathy caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, and the evolution of the syndrome was observed in detail. Result: After 44 days of treatment, the general state, cognitive function, the function of motor system and sensory system of the patients were significantly improved. Conclusion: The results of this case show that acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine is effective in the treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning delayed encephalopathy and has the advantages of short course of treatment and integration of treatment and prevention. It can significantly improve the prognosis of delayed encephalopathy and improve the quality of life of patients, which is of great significance to reduce the economic burden of societies and families. СУЧАСНІ МІГРАЦІЙНІ ПРОЦЕСИ ТА ЇХ ВПЛИВ НА РОЗВИТОК ЕКОНОМІКИ УКРАЇНИ

In the paper the concept of labor migration is considered, its origin, the approaches of various scholars on the issue of international labor migration, its main types, components and fundamental differences are studied. The reasons of the migration of highly qualified employees and its negative consequences have been identified. It has been established that the lion's share of migrants are young and middle-aged people, ie the working population, which be able increase productivity. It is determined that wages are a key factor in labor migration of highly skilled employees. It is established that employment in Ukraine has its own features, which are caused by the modern transformation processes, such as: large-scale informal employment and payment in envelopes without the contributions to the special funds; the low labor costs, which be able cause the first problem. The sex and age structure of migrants from Ukraine are considered, in particular, it should be noted that the sex structure had the variable dynamics throughout the period. At the same time, men are accounted for the largest share, as it was mentally the case that they are the ones who should provide for their families financially. It has been established that the majority of Ukrainians travel to the European countries, and the smallest – to Australia and Oceania. This migration movement is mainly due to the fact that Ukraine has adopted a course of European integration and the existing programs of the European Union's countries. Along with a number of negative aspects that give rise to international labor migration, it is necessary to highlight such positive aspects of the migration of labor resources from the country for the economy, in particular, these are remittances of migrants to their relatives in the country of their former place of residence. Another negative factor of migration processes is the long-term nature and its nature is negative for the socio-economic development of the country, since in the short term remittances are significant, but if this issue is considered in the future, their flow decreases over time, since the vast majority of migrants tend to stay in that country where they went, with the subsequent coming of their family members. The measures for the elimination the negative consequences of migration processes are proposed.

Multimodality of the transmission of philological knowledge during classroom activities using ICT

The article deals with multimodal learning strategies aimed at transferring philological knowledge with the help of information and communications technology (ICT). Using ICT makes it possible to apply visual association and create spatial images that express important object properties defined clearly by the means of dynamic visualization (animation). The authors note that using ICT in the sphere is associated with several methodological difficulties, since it requires a philologist-educator who possess a wide range of competences that go beyond humanitarian knowledge. The optimum software that allows creating audio-visual construct (interactive poster, computer animation, tag cloud, cognitive map etc.) is offered for studying process. The paper presents the results of sociological research on the readiness of students of philological specialties in pedagogical universities along with the teachers in different educational units for implementation of multimodal strategies of teaching using ICT. The authors proved the need to introduce an integrative course “Use of ICT in the study of philological disciplines”.

Natural Scientific Thinking in Foreign Students of Pre-University Courses in the Context of Integration into the Russian Educational Environment

This article is the result of a two-year-long experiment conducted by the authors. The purpose of the research was to study the natural scientific thinking of foreign students of preparatory departments in the context of integrative processes. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the regulatory framework governing the educational process at the stage of pre-university training, including syllabi and steering documents of faculties of pre-university training, formed the methodological basis of the research. The modified criteria-focused TEM-11 test was used as a diagnostic tool. The method of expert evaluations ensured the reliability and validity of the research. The study provided evidence of the feasibility of including an integration course in “biophysics” along with biology, physics, and chemistry in the curricula of preparatory departments that prepare foreign students for admission to medical, agricultural, veterinary, and biological faculties. It does not appear reasonable to include an online course in the training system for foreign students who are residents since they already developed the differential-synthetic and synthetic stages of natural scientific thinking while they were learning the trade. It is concluded that the Biophysics integrative online course studied by foreign students of faculties of pre-university training, develops a special type of natural scientific thinking, which will be the basis for framing professional thinking in the future. A total of 374 people took part in the experiment (188 people were included in the experimental group and 186 people became part of the control group). The comparative analysis of the stages of development of natural scientific thinking in the control and experimental groups showed significant progress in the experimental group. After the experiment, the number of respondents at the common empirical stage of development of natural scientific thinking was 11.2 % of the entire sample; the number of respondents at the scientific empirical stage was 32.8 %, at the synthetic differential stage – 44.7 % and at the synthetic stage – 27.6 %.

EUROPEAN INTEGRATION: ADVANTAGES AND THREATS TO UKRAINE’S FOREIGN TRADE

Background. In terms of unfavorable external conditions and a significant deterioration of the socio-economic situation, the Ukrainian market has stagnated. Russia’s actions, including its unilateral suspension of the Free Trade Agreement, have led to a reduction in Ukraine's bilateral foreign trade operations. The processes of globalization and integration issue new challenges to the economy of any country, in particular, the questions of evaluation and stimulation of foreign trade of enterprises emerge in the conditions of constant transformation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identifytrends and features of Ukraine’s foreign trade in the context of globalization and integration. Materials and methods. The article is based on a synthesis of research results of domestic and foreign scientists to determine the main influencing factors of cooperation with the EU on the state of development of Ukraine’s foreign trade. Research on this issue was conducted using the methods of theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis. Results. Ukraine’s position in world trade is determined by the main factors: the dynamics of GDP, rating and index of economic freedom. The peculiarities of Ukraine's foreign trade over the last decade have been studied, the main partner countries; the main challenges that arise in our foreign trade as a result of European integration processes have been identified. It is proved that in the analysis of GDP it is expedient to use the indicator of GDP calculated on purchasing power parity. It is established that in the conditions of the world crisis, the war in the east caused the greatest damage to the economy of Ukraine. It was clarified that Ukraine needs to expand the geography of foreign trade relations, at the same time there is a significant unrealized potential for the development of bilateral relations with EU countries. Conclusion. Ukraine must follow the chosen course of European integration, but at the same must also develop other partnerships with countries on other continents. Unfortunately, Ukraine exports more raw materials and goods with low added value. Therefore, there is a need: to change the content of exports, to introduce tax and customs instruments to support exports, to amend the Association Agreement in terms of international trade. The structure of foreign trade does not stimulate Ukraine's economy to innovative development, so there is an urgent need for domestic policy reforms and changes in external priorities.
