Efektivitas layanan informasi menggunakan teknik problem-based learning untuk meningkatkan self regulated learning siswa

This research is motivated by the problems of students' self-regulated learning . This can be seen in the students when studying, there is no preparation for learning by students, students do not pay attention to the teacher during learning activities, lack of student responsibility for the assignments given by the teacher. Efforts made to improve student self-regulated learning are information services using a problem-based learning approach. The aims of this study were (1) to analyze the differences in the self-regulated learning of students in the experimental group before and after being given information services using a problem-based learning approach, (2) to analyze the differences in self-regulated learning of students in the control group before and after being given information services without using a problem-based approach learning, (3) testing the effectiveness of information services using a problem-based learning approach to improve student self-regulated learning . This study used an experimental design with a pretest and posttest control group design. The subjects in this study were 70 students at MTsN 1 City of SungaiFull, with a low self-regulated learning category . The instrument used in this study is a self-regulated learning instrument with a Likert scale. The technique used by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Kolmogrof Smirnov 2 Independent Sample test with the help of SPSS version 20.00. The results of this study indicate that information services using a problem- based learning approach are effective in increasing student self-regulated learning . The results of this study can be used as a reference in assisting counseling guidance service programs, especially using a problem-based learning approach to overcome students' low self-regulated learning.

Design and Validity of Interactive Multimedia Based on Cognitive Conflict Using Adobe Animate CC on the Concept of Circular Motion

High school students' understanding of circular motion material is still low. One solution to this problem is to design interactive multimedia based on the cognitive conflict in the theory of circular motion to enhance the conceptual understanding of high school students. This study aims to determine the characteristics and validity of interactive multimedia based on cognitive conflict. The research follows the development research approach using the Plomp model. This study is limited to the preliminary study phase and the development phase, up to the validity test through expert review. The learning instruments include journal analysis sheets, teacher questionnaires, self-evaluation sheets, and expert review sheets. Data were analyzed using the percentage technique and the V-Aiken formula. The introductory study identified several issues in teaching circular motion, such as low understanding levels, teacher-centered physics instruction, lack of experimental activities, and a lack of interactive multimedia teaching materials. During the development stage, multimedia was designed with the following characteristics: the use of Adobe Animate CC 2019 application to support interactivity through students' smartphones. The multimedia was also structured according to the four learning model syntax based on cognitive conflict (CCBL model). The results of the self-evaluation test met the criteria for a very good rating, while the expert review test indicated a valid category. It can be concluded that the cognitive conflict-based interactive multimedia on circular motion material is valid and can proceed to the practical and effective testing stage.

Enrichment learning method in STEP-food technology at SMAK Santo Hendrikus Surabaya

The Student and Teacher Empowerment Program of Food Technology (STEP TP) is one of the flagship intracurricular programs at SMAK Santo Hendrikus Surabaya. However, the teachers who assist the STEP TP do not have any background in food technology, thus limiting their ability to provide comprehensive food technology learning materials to the students. This community service aims to assist the teachers in creating STEP TP learning materials in the form of teaching modules and videos, conduct a guest lecture, and hold a food processing workshop guided by food technology lecturers. The methodologies included conducting a focus group discussion with the school’s principal and teacher, surveying students’ interests and school facilities providing guest lectures and workshops, designing learning instruments, and evaluating the activities. The survey showed that most students were enthusiastic to learn about bread and cake processing, followed by beverage processing. In addition, the guest lecturer on the subject of food packaging was delivered to supplement the teachers' and students' knowledge other than food processing technology. Furthermore, students and teachers were taught to make pumpkin flour, which is applicable to bread and cake. Overall, the community service was fully supported by the partner's contribution. Modules and video had accepted by the school’s partner.

Reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the self-directed learning instrument in Chinese nursing students

BackgroundIn a rapidly changing healthcare environment, Self-directed learning (SDL) ability is recognized as a crucial condition for nursing students and nurse to deal with severe challenges positively. Developing SDL ability is becoming more and more important among nursing students. SDL is related to nursing students enhancing their own knowledge, skills and maintaining lifelong learning. This study is aim at translating the Self-directed Learning Instrument (SDLI) into Chinese and verify its reliability and validity among nursing students.MethodsThe study adopted a cross-sectional design and the multistage sampling design. The SDLI was translated into Chinese, and the reliability and validity of the scale were tested among 975 nursing students.ResultsThe Cronbach’s α value of the Chinese version of SDLI was 0.916. The split-half reliability coefficient was 0.829, and the retest coefficient was 0.884. The content validity index of the scale was 0.95. Furthermore, the four-factors model was obtained by using exploratory factor analysis, explaining 55.418% variance, and the communalities of the items ranged from 0.401 to 0.664. With modified confirmatory factor analysis, the fit indices were chi-square/degree of freedom (CMIN/DF) = 2.285, the comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.947, and the tucker lewis index (TLI) was 0.938. And, the model fitting indexes were all in the acceptable range and confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the model fit the SDLI well.ConclusionThe Chinese version of SDLI has good validity and reliability among nursing students. It can be used to measure the SDL ability of nursing students in China.

Pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) terhadap hasil belajar tema 4 siswa kelas V SD Se-Gugus IV Ngurah Rai

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of student’s worksheet on learning outcomes theme 4 in Grade V Odd Semester students. This study is a quasi-experimental study with non- equivalent control group design. The population of this study were students of Grade V Elementary School in Cluster IV District Laweyan, Surakarta. The sample used two elementary schools: SDN Bumi 1 Surakarta as experimental class and SDN Pajang IV as control class. The data of this study used a test instrument learning outcomes theme 4 in the form of objective tests. The test results were then analyzed by testing the paired sample t test. The results of the paired sample t test showed that the experimental group output obtained 0.000 < 0.05 which means there is a difference in the average learning outcomes in pre-test with post-test, while the control group output obtained 0.347 > 0.05 which means there is no difference in the average student learning outcomes for pre-test with post-test. Based on the results it can be concluded that there is an influence between the use of student worksheets on the learning outcomes of theme 4 V SDN Bumi 1 academic year 2021/2022.

STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS NEUROSAINS BERBANTUAN APLIKASI WORDWALL DALAM MENGANALISIS DAN MERANCANG SOAL HOTS

One of the scientific clusters that students must master is the learning science cluster. One of the subjects in the learning science cluster is Evaluation of Indonesian Language Learning. The aim of this course is to equip students with the skills to analyze and design evaluation instruments. The problem found by students is that they still have difficulties in analyzing and designing evaluation instruments based on HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill). The purpose of this study was to find out the syntax of wordwall-assisted Neuroscience-based learning strategies and the responses of IKIP Siliwangi students in analyzing and designing HOTS evaluation instruments in Indonesian Language Learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with identification, formulating problems, literature study, determining instruments for data collection in the form of questionnaires, and analyzing data then drawing conclusions. As for the research results based on the results of the questionnaire data, it was obtained an average of 89.4% positive answers chosen by students. This means that wordwall-assisted Neuroscience-based learning strategies can help students analyze and compile HOTS questions by searching, describing, exploring, presenting, processing, comparing, evaluating, and concluding HOTS questions that are compiled.

IMPLEMENTASI DAN ASESMEN PEMBELAJARAN BERDIFERENSIASI PADA MATERI ANEKDOT UNTUK SISWA SMA

This study aims to describe the implementation and assessment of differentiated learning on anecdotal material for high school students by reviewing the alignment of predetermined learning instruments. The design in this study is a mix method. The data collection procedure was carried out by researchers by distributing questionnaires and interviewing Indonesian language teachers in class X as respondents. Respondents filled out the prepared questionnaire using the Google Form format. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The findings of the differentiated learning assessment research on content differentiation components are well implemented. The assessment of the process differentiation component was implemented well in two aspects, namely the implementation of the way in which the material was delivered varied according to students' understanding abilities and there were variations in activities to understand the material based on the container. Three aspects of the assessment indicators are still experiencing differentiation. Differentiated learning assessment on product differentiation components is well implemented. The results of the research on the implementation of differentiated learning assessments on anecdotal material for high school students serve as a guideline for Indonesian teachers in conducting assessments in favor of learning profiles.

Mastering DNA Content Estimation by Flow Cytometry as an Efficient Tool for Plant Breeding and Biodiversity Research.

Flow cytometry gives a unique opportunity to analyze thousands of individual cells for multiple parameters in a course of minutes. The most commonly used flow cytometry application in plant biology is estimation of nuclear DNA content. This becomes an indispensable tool in different areas of plant research, including breeding, taxonomy, plant development, evolutionary biology, populational studies and others. DNA content analysis can provide an insight into natural ploidy changes that reflect evolutionary processes, such as interspecific hybridization and polyploidization. It is also widely used for processing samples with biotechnologically induced ploidy changes, for instance, plants produced by doubled haploid technology. Absolute genome size data produced by cytometric analysis serve as useful taxon-specific markers since genome size vary between different taxa. It often allows the distinguishing of species within a genus or even different subspecies. Introducing flow cytometry method in the lab is extremely appealing, but new users face a significant challenge of learning instrument management, quality sample preparation and data processing. Not only is flow cytometry a complex method, but plant samples have unique features that make plants a demanding research subject. Without proper training, researchers risk damaging the expensive instrument or publishing poor quality data, artifacts or unreproducible results. We bring together information from our experience, key papers and online resources to provide step by step protocols and give a starting point for exploring the abundant cytometry literature.

Social studies learning modules to improve concept understanding and attitude of the environmental care

This study aimed to produce a suitable module to improve the understanding of environmental care concepts and attitudes of fourth-grade elementary school students and determine the module’s effectiveness. The data collection instruments consisted of a teacher interview guide, a student preliminary study questionnaire, a media expert validation questionnaire, material and instrument experts, a teacher response questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, and environmental care attitude assessment questionnaire, and a concept understanding ability test. The feasibility assessment uses assessments from media experts, learning material experts, and learning instruments. The practicality assessment of the module consists of a teacher response questionnaire and a student response questionnaire. The data analysis of the module’s effectiveness on the ability to understand the concept and attitude of caring for the environment was analyzed using the t-test and MANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study showed that: i) The module met the eligibility criteria based on the results of assessments from media experts, learning materials experts, and learning instruments that get an assessment in the “very feasible” category to use; ii) The module met the practicality criteria based on the results of the teacher response questionnaire assessment and the student response assessment questionnaire who received an assessment in the “very feasible” category; iii) The module was effective in increasing students’ understanding of concepts and environmental care attitudes. The effectiveness is shown from the t-test and MANOVA test results with a significance level of 0.001.

Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dalam Pendidikan Pesantren

The rapid development of technology in recent years has also impacted the education sector, especially in pesantren institutions. Pesantren has responded well to technological advances by utilizing the Maktabah Syamilah (application) of online book libraries as an educational tool, allowing students to access yellow book references. This study aims to demonstrate that software engineering technology (RPL) that dynamically develops has an important role in the development of Pondok Pesantren in implementing teaching instruments. This study uses the library research method, supported by literature evidence, to compile the research. The results show that software development must go through a structured process and have many models, namely software engineering (RPL), which aims to improve the software. This research implies that the current pattern of pesantren education utilizes technology as a learning instrument, such as Maktabah Syamilah, allowing teachers and students to respond well to technological advancements.

The android-based instrument for performance assessment of football

The android-based performance assessment instrument in football learning is the result of the development of a football learning assessment instrument that adapts to the digital era. This study aims to test the validity and practicality of an android-based performance assessment instrument in football learning. The research method used was a validation test by media and soccer material experts and a practicality test by a football course lecturer. Application testing is carried out based on predetermined criteria. After being assessed by the validator and meeting the valid criteria, this application is then tested (implemented) by the subject or user. The data collection instruments used were field notes, expert validation sheets, and questionnaires. The media feasibility test of the assessment referred to the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) standard. Data analysis was conducted to determine the applicant's eligibility and validity category based on the assessments of media experts and soccer learning evaluation experts. The results showed that the developed application was acceptable, with an average score of 3.67 from media experts and 3.83 from material experts so the total average of the expert test is 3.75 with very valid criteria. The product developed is an application of an android-based performance instrument for soccer learning that follows the assessment rubric in the PJOK curriculum and is practically used by PJOK educators as an evaluation tool for PJOK football material.

Effects of webGIS-based spatial intelligence training on Geography teacher's spatial skills

The inadequate spatial intelligence of teachers culminates in students’ minimum spatial intelligence. As teachers carry the role of learning facilitators and instruments, spatial intelligence training is highly substantial for geographic teachers. This study aims to identify the effects of spatial intelligence training based on webGIS on the geographic teachers’ spatial intelligence. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-postest with paired sample T-test data analysis. Our analysis results using T-test showed Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 less than 0.05, indicating the influence of spatial intelligence training based on webGIS on geography teachers’ spatial intelligence. Besides, the increase in teachers’ spatial intelligence is also shown by their increasing average test scores by 28.24 percent.

PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PEMBELAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN VIDEO HOLOGRAM 3D DALAM MASA HYBIRD

This study aims to develop learning instruments using 3D hologram videos in the Hybrid period. This research is research development (Research and Development). Research and development research methods are research methods used to produce a certain product, and test the effectiveness of certain products. Development research is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve existing products, which can be accounted for. To test the effectiveness of existing products so that they can function in the wider community, research is needed to test the effectiveness of these products. The product produced in this study is a learning media based on 3D hologram videos. This 3D hologram-based learning media research will be carried out at SMP Negeri 223 East Jakarta with the research subjects being Grade VIII students and the research object being 3D hologram video learning media in Mathematics. The results of the research are in the form of 3D hologram videos combined with inverted pyramids and smartphones as learning media using the Hannafin and Peck development model which consists of stages: needs assessment, design phase and development and implementation phase. phase). This media has gone through a validation process by media experts with assessment aspects in terms of appearance, language, and effectiveness and reliability.

The effect of blended task-oriented flipped classroom on the core competencies of undergraduate nursing students: a quasi-experimental study

BackgroundThe flipped classroom (FC) method is becoming increasingly popular in China's nursing education. It is an important breakthrough improvement in the quality of learning in nursing education reforms.PurposeThis study aimed to determine the effects of blended task-oriented flipped classroom (TFC) on nursing students undertaking the Fundamentals of Nursing course.MethodsA pre-and post-test quasi-experimental design was adopted. This study was conducted in the Autumn semester, 2021 academic year in a Chinese university. Using cluster sampling technique, this study enrolled second-year undergraduate nursing students from six classess who were studying Fundamentals of Nursing course. A blended TFC was developed and implemented with three classes (experimental group: n = 152). In-class traditional lectures were applied to the other three classes (control group: n = 151). The Self-Directed Learning Instrument, Problem-Solving Inventory, and California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory were used to evaluate students’ learning outcomes, and final examinations were conducted at the end of after course. In addition, students in the flipped classroom group were required to answer five open-ended questions concerning their flipped classroom learning experiences.ResultsStudents in the experimental group showed significant improvement in academic performance compared to those in the control group (p = 0.001). Considering total scale and factors, students in the experimental grouped recorded significantly higher scores in self-directed learning ability, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking ability compared to those in the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, improved abilities and skills such as team cooperation, communication, presentation, identifying /solving clinical problems, and accountability were reported.ConclusionA blended TFC teaching approach positively impacted students' core competencies and improved learning outcomes in the Fundamentals of Nursing course.

THE VIRTUAL LEARNING DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC: WHAT ARE STUDENTS BELIEF ON IT?

There were exceedingly rare researches in analysing students’ gender differences of internet beliefs for Indonesia context. Therefore, this study was aimed at describing students’ beliefs of the internet usage, and at gauging male and female students’ differences on the internet beliefs. This study employed 27 students in East Java (6 male and 21 female). The study data was via questionnaire and gauged in MS Excel and SPSS 25. Hence, this study used quantitative descriptive to explain students beliefs on the internet usage in learning. While measuring differences based on the gender, the researcher used Mann Whitney analysis. Results diagnosed that most of students gained positive beliefs for the internet usage in their learning. However, there were no significant differences because of significance two tailed value upper than .05. It could be assumed both gender students have in similar line beliefs on the internet usage for their learning. Fruitful suggestions are recommended, due to the pedagogic and future research aspect. For pedagogical aspect, the internet should be elaborated and integrated extensively in the learning instruments as well as learning materials to develop better process and outputs. For future research, those findings can be used to explore more for other study fields.

Developing Rigorous Mathematical Thinking Approach-Based Learning Materials for Sequences and Series Concept at High School Level in Tanjungpinang

Mathematics encourages logical reasoning and critical thinking. Rigorous thinking helps in analysing problems to decision-making and ensures that solutions are accurate and reliable. Prior research indicated students’ lack of those abilities when learning the concept of sequences and series. Therefore, this research aims to develop learning materials for the concept of sequences and series based on rigorous mathematical thinking (RMT) approach. The learning materials developed with the ADDIE model include mobile learning, student worksheets, and test instruments, which provide clear explanations, examples, problem-solving activities with RMT approach, and assessments enabling teachers to evaluate students’ understanding of mathematics concepts of the sequences and series. The learning materials were validated using a questionnaire by mathematics experts. The quantitative and qualitative data results show that the mobile learning, student worksheets, and test instruments are valid. Mobile learning that was developed and tested valid entails that the study can add to a new learning strategy that proposes technology and digital tools to engage students in the learning process and promote RMT.

РОЗВИТОК КРИТИЧНОГО МИСЛЕННЯ КУРСАНТІВ ЛЬОТНИХ ЗАКЛАДІВ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ ПРИ РОЗВ’ЯЗАННІ ЗАДАЧ З ДИСЦИПЛІНИ «ОПІР МАТЕРІАЛІВ»

The article dials with the problem of development of critical thinking of cadets of aviation establishments of higher education using the example of solving a problem from the discipline ″Straight of Materials″. The concept of ″critical thinking″ is issued. Emphasis is placed on his awareness, independence, reflexivity, purposefulness, reasonableness, controllability, and self-organization. In addition, the stages of development of critical thinking is analyzed: motivation, means of education, content of education, method of education, form of education, method of control, style of education. In the process of professional training cadets, taking into account the military situation in Ukraine, there is a need to apply methods and techniques that stimulate increased attention and interest in the classes, in particular in the process of distance learning. Methods of development of critical thinking is monitored and it is found that training should be based on the creative cooperation of the cadet and the teacher, on the development of analytical and creative approaches to the studying information that needs to be studied. Such teaching methods and techniques, the creation of which is carried out through online learning instruments, such as: didactic cards, ″associative garland″, ″Venn’s diagrams″ are highlighted. It is shown how, with the help of the specified tools, the educational material is analyzed, connections and dependencies between the constituent elements are established, which over time is synthesized into the ability to independently perform a similar task, and to show creativity – to perform tasks of increased complexity. Workshop sobre atendimento de trauma pediátrico: simulação de baixo custo

ABSTRACT Objective: to assess nursing students’ and nurses’ knowledge, satisfaction and self-confidence after a theoretical workshop on emergency care for traumatized children and clinical simulation. Methods: a quasi-experimental study, carried out with nursing students and nurses residing at a public university in southern Brazil. A workshop on pediatric trauma care was created and a mannequin was created for simulations. A knowledge pre-test and post-test and the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning instrument were applied to measure satisfaction and self-confidence in learning. For analysis, descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test were used to compare means before and after intervention. Results: the difference between misses and hits was statistically significant (p&lt;0.005), demonstrating an increase in participants’ knowledge after the workshop. Satisfaction and self-confidence were demonstrated in the instrument’s high scores. Conclusions: the effectiveness of the workshop in teaching-learning emergency care for pediatric trauma was demonstrated.

Using the Escape Room game-based approach in chemistry teaching

In recent years, the Escape Room approach has been applied in teaching of various content. Aside from being enjoyable, the Escape Room activities actively involve all students in the class and promote their creative, critical and logical thinking, problem solving, communication and cooperation, as well as positive attitude towards the subject. To encourage the engagement and motivation of ninth-grade students, activities were developed regarding the topic of exothermic and endothermic reactions, through the use of Google Forms and Breakout Rooms option in MS Teams. The application of this approach helps students to master the teaching content in a more interesting way, encourages discussion and cooperation among students. 244 9th grade students from five primary schools participated in the research. Apart from encouraging engagement and motivation among students, one of the objectives of the research was to examine their opinions regarding the implemented Escape Room activities. For this purpose, the motivation of students towards Science Learning (SMTSL) and Activity Perception Questionnaire (APQ-ER) instruments were implemented. The research results, positive atmosphere during the classes, and high students? satisfaction after completing the activities indicate numerous benefits of the implementation of the Escape Room approach in chemistry teaching.
