Digital age also known as the visual world or Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have become inseparable entities in all domains of human life.The use of Digital has greatly changed the practices and procedures of nearly all forms of endeavour within business, governance and civil service. In education domain, the digital age has begun to have a presence but the impact has not been as extensive as in other fields of endeavour. The switching of the world to digital age has made the role of digital in education to become more relevant and this relevance will continue to grow and develop in the years ahead. Digital age is an indispensable part of the contemporary world. In fact, culture and society have to be adjusted to meet the challenges of the digital age. The purpose of this paper is to establish the impact of Digital age as a change agent for higher education in Cameroon. The results of a number of studies reviewed in this paper show the outcomes and the benefits of implementing Digital on the higher educational system in Cameroon and not only for students themselves, but also for their institution and society. This paper tackles the impact of digital age on the quality of teaching, learning and research in the higher educational system. It also throws light on the effects of poor Digital and also gives suggestions to overcome those obstacles. This pave way for the reader to have an in-depth knowledge about the necessity of the Digital age and there by gives opportunities to bring out further research on this topic
