Based on free Hopkinson bar, preformance test of ignition tube was conducted from input end, output end and radial about shock overload. The results show that radial is more irritable than output end, and output end is more irritable than input end at the same shock overload and pulse width.The radial is worse. When the ignition tube is stressed,the deformation of overall dimension occurs.When the deformation reaches certain degree,the resistance value begins to change. X-ray CT chromatography analysis is performed on ignition tube afer radial shock overload,the result further shows that supporting effect of electrode plug and its close cooperation with shell is helpful to improve anti-overload of ignition tube. Study results shows that structure design of ignition tube is special,the ability of anti-overload is good.It provided Theoretial Support for design and reinforcement of ignition tube in anti-high-overload.
