This study explores the role of digital technology on the relationship between strategic orientation and international trade performance, focusing on construction enterprises in Guangdong Province under the WTO framework. While market orientation, innovation orientation, and learning orientation are key drivers of trade success, digital transformation significantly enhances their impact by streamlining operations, improving regulatory compliance, and optimizing supply chains. However, slow adoption of digital tools due to financial constraints, cybersecurity concerns, and inconsistent WTO digital trade policies pose challenges for construction firms. The research utilizes a Systematic Literature Review following PRISMA to integrate findings from twenty peer-reviewed investigations regarding digital transformation along with strategic orientation in the construction trade. This study integrates the theoretical underpinning of the resource-based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT) to explain how digital resources serve as strategic assets and dynamic enablers of trade performance. The systematic literature findings suggest that harmonized digital trade regulations and industry-wide digital adoption initiatives are necessary to improve global competitiveness. Future research should explore longitudinal studies and sector-specific digital policy frameworks to enhance the technological adaptability of construction enterprises in international trade.

In the modern context of rapid digitalization, market globalization, and intense competition, innovation has become a decisive factor for ensuring sustainable development, competitiveness, and strategic resilience of enterprises. The relevance of this study is driven by the need to rethink and update traditional approaches to strategic management in light of the new challenges posed by the digital economy, including the speed of change, large volumes of data, the implementation of artificial intelligence, and the development of open innovation ecosystems. This article examines the innovative orientations of strategic management of enterprises under digitalization. An analysis of contemporary scientific concepts is conducted, demonstrating the evolution of the interpretation of strategic management—from classical models to integrated systems that combine digitalization of business processes, the use of big data analytics and artificial intelligence, as well as the development of partnership ecosystems and open innovations. Based on the generalization of theoretical approaches, a mechanism for implementing innovative orientations is proposed, which involves the introduction of digital platforms, cloud technologies, intelligent analytics, and the formation of cooperative ecosystems involving startups, research institutions, and IT companies. It is shown that the synergistic interaction of these components forms a dynamic model of innovative development, which ensures faster strategic decision-making, flexibility in adapting to market changes, and the expansion of business opportunities. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the proposed mechanism to develop modern innovative strategies, improve management processes, enhance business process efficiency, and ensure the resilience of enterprises amid digital transformation. The results of the work may be useful for enterprise leaders, strategic managers, innovation management specialists, and researchers involved in digital economy and business development issues.

This study examined how green hotel practices influence international tourists’ intentions to stay, using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework. It also investigated the moderating roles of personal innovativeness and nationality. Data were collected from 539 international tourists who stayed at certified green hotels in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The study employed exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) to validate the green practice dimensions and test the hypothesized relationships. The results revealed four key dimensions of green hotel practices: resource efficiency, energy conservation, water efficiency, and green certifications. All dimensions were found to positively influence perceived value, which, in turn, mediated their effects on green satisfaction and the intention to stay, confirming a cognitive-affective-behavioral pathway. Personal innovativeness was found to significantly moderate the relationship between resource efficiency and perceived value, as well as between water efficiency and perceived value, highlighting the role of innovation orientation in sustainability perceptions. A multi-group analysis showed that nationality (categorized as European vs. Non-European) moderates the relationship between satisfaction and intentions to stay, suggesting that cultural context influences how green satisfaction translates into behavioral intentions. This study advances sustainable hospitality theory by identifying the green practices that have the greatest influences on guest behavior and exploring the boundary conditions that shape their effectiveness. The findings offer practical implications for hotels, advising them to prioritize visible, tangible sustainability practices, adopt differentiated communication strategies based on guest innovativeness, and develop culturally tailored approaches to enhance the impact of green initiatives across international markets.

Innovation is essential for the survival and growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) amid global competition, particularly in Bandung Regency, a center of the creative economy in West Java. This study aims to analyze the role of intellectual assets and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in enhancing MSME innovation performance. A qualitative descriptive method was applied through observations and interviews with ten MSMEs of varying scales. The findings reveal that intellectual assets comprising human, structural, and relational capital serve as primary drivers of innovation. Human capital stimulates creativity through knowledge and skills, structural capital ensures organizational support for continuous innovation, and relational capital facilitates collaboration with stakeholders. Integrating intellectual assets with CSR practices strengthens social legitimacy and fosters sustainable innovation aligned with the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit). CSR implementation not only improves corporate image but also promotes eco-innovation, cost efficiency, and product differentiation. The study concludes that the synergy between intellectual assets and CSR generates a unique, hard-to-imitate competitive advantage, shifting MSME innovation orientation from mere profit toward socio-environmental sustainability. These findings emphasize that strategic management of intellectual capital and CSR can serve as a foundation for MSMEs to compete in national and global markets.

Global economic developments show the acceleration of the adoption of circular business models, where resource efficiency and waste reduction are the main focuses to answer sustainability demands and SDGs targets. Although this trend is strengthening globally, MSMEs, especially those based on family businesses, are still lagging behind in their implementation, even though digitalization is increasingly opening up opportunities for operational optimization and innovation. The urgency of this research arises from the need to understand how the digital mindset and transformation of family business management can accelerate the readiness of MSMEs in implementing circular business practices. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the three strategic concepts into a single analytical framework through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), a perspective that has rarely been combined in previous studies. With the SLR method based on the PRISMA protocol, this study shows that MSMEs already have a strong foundation in the digital mindset, including technology readiness, innovation orientation, and adaptation of digital business models. Family business values have also been proven to support business continuity through knowledge transfer and long-term investment. However, the implementation of circular business practices is still weak, especially in resource cycle management, sustainable product design, and environmental impact measurement. The implication is that the synergy of digital mindset and family business governance can strengthen the transition of MSMEs to a circular economy that directly supports the achievement of the SDGs, especially in the areas of sustainable consumption-production and industrial innovation.

This study focuses on the teaching reform of lacquer art courses in local universities against the backdrop of innovation and entrepreneurship education. By systematically analyzing the current operation of lacquer art courses and the College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, it constructs a four-dimensional curriculum objective framework of “cultural foundation–technical competence–project awareness–innovation and entrepreneurship capability,” and designs an innovative spiral learning pathway consisting of in-class incubation, extracurricular training, and competition-based validation. The study integrates multi-dimensional strategies in task design, regulation of teaching rhythm, diversified assessment, and university–local cooperation to promote systematic transformation of course teaching. Drawing on two typical national-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects as cases, it presents the dynamic trajectory from project generation and curricular support to implementation and students’ competence development. Empirical results indicate that the innovation- and entrepreneurship-oriented project-based teaching model significantly enhances students’ cultural understanding, craft integration skills, problem-solving awareness, and team collaboration, and effectively facilitates the transformation of classroom work into high-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects and market-oriented cultural and creative products. This study provides a replicable and scalable practical pathway and theoretical reference for local universities to further integrate traditional craft courses with innovation and entrepreneurship education.

The increasing integration of Environmental Digital Transformation (EDT) within organizations requires a deeper understanding of how organizational culture influences digital adoption, resource efficiency, and sustainability outcomes. This study examines the role of innovation orientation, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning in shaping EDT success. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative survey data from 25 organizations across multiple industries with qualitative insights from managerial interviews. Statistical analyses reveal that organizations with high innovation and collaboration scores achieve faster digital integration and improved resource efficiency, while continuous learning strongly correlates with higher digital adoption rates. Conversely, risk tolerance does not significantly predict EDT success, suggesting that organizations benefit more from structured learning and strategic planning rather than risk-heavy digital adoption. These findings align with existing literature on digital sustainability and corporate digital readiness, reinforcing the importance of employee training, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation-driven leadership. Practical implications include the need for corporate decision-makers to invest in digital upskilling programs and foster interdepartmental cooperation, while policymakers should develop supportive frameworks that encourage digital transformation in sustainability-driven industries. Future research should explore industry-specific cultural influences, leadership dynamics, and longitudinal analyses of digital transformation impacts. By emphasizing the human and cultural dimensions of EDT, this study contributes to a broader understanding of how organizations can successfully navigate digital sustainability transition.

Physical education is recognized as a key discipline within the educational system due to its contribution to students’ holistic development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional dimensions. Therefore, pre-service physical education teacher education (PETE) holds special relevance, as it shapes the pedagogical approach that will guide future teaching practices in the school. The objective of this study was to analyze the curricular structure and pedagogical approach of PETE programs at three Chilean universities. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, a document analysis was conducted on curricula, graduate profiles, and course syllabi from each institution, considering that these are also key elements evaluated in the accreditation processes of teacher education programs. Grounded Theory supported the analysis, which was systematized using NVivo software through open and axial coding. The information was organized into key categories: subjects, graduate competencies, pedagogical approach, innovation, sociocultural context, and assessment. The results reveal differences in how teacher education is understood. While one university presents a structure focused on technical content, another emphasizes a sociocultural approach, and the third exhibits an innovative orientation with technological integration.

The article examines the tasks of the domestic economy on the path to European integration. On this path, it is important to take into account both the radical innovative changes caused by the technological revolution and the changes associated with the development of the world system of economic relations. Ukraine is actively working to increase exports, which will become the basis for future economic growth. An important task for both the state and commodity producers is to develop production, attract investment, and increase exports of domestic products. An important component of the European integration process is ensuring the proper and effective functioning of the quality infrastructure system of Ukraine, which was created to ensure the safety and high quality of products and services. Quality infrastructure plays a vital role in business, innovation and trade – both at the national and international levels. Elements of quality infrastructure are a system of organizations that ensure the functioning of the quality system. They include standards, assessment methods, certification, metrology and other components. The article considers the main tasks of quality infrastructure. It is noted that the primary task is the innovative orientation of the economy and the growth of Ukraine's competitiveness in modern areas of economic activity. In this context, attention is focused on the main priorities. First of all, this is deepening cooperation in the scientific and technological sphere and intensifying the implementation of new contactless technologies. In addition, it is important to focus on strengthening interaction in the business sphere and ensuring employment. An important task is also the training of specialists in high-tech fields in order to adopt best practices in organizing highly efficient and competitive production in the field of high technology. A significant obstacle to the European integration of the Ukrainian economy is technical barriers to trade and conditions of access to markets for industrial products. The most ambitious task in this context is to create the prerequisites for the early entry into the EU market of products with high added value and an increased level of technological sophistication. Ukraine's aspiration to join the EU is an additional incentive for the development of mutually beneficial security cooperation, despite the current crisis phenomena provoked by the war. The purposeful, balanced implementation of this aspiration will contribute not only to ensuring Ukraine's security interests, but also to strengthening European and global security.

The article examines the conceptual and applied problems of shaping Ukraine’s investment climate as a strategic prerequisite for ensuring the state’s economic security. It emphasizes Ukraine’s investment climate as a strategic prerequisite for ensuring the state’s economic security, noting that the long-term inability to create a stable, predictable investment environment within the framework of socio-economic transformations is a key reason for low-quality economic growth and the preservation of a pro-cyclical model of economic development. The emphasis is on the need to consider the investment climate in the context of modern challenges as a complex integrated system, the coordinated functioning of the mechanisms of which determines the pace of investment processes, the inter-sectoral proportions of their distribution, the innovative orientation, and the sustainable principles of high-quality, balanced, and safe economic development. It is emphasized separately that ensuring the integration of the investment climate within the framework of state policy involves the formation of a holistic complex of institutional, regulatory, organizational, economic, and financial mechanisms capable not only of stimulating investment activity but also of ensuring internal consistency. Such coherence contributes to the formation of a structurally coherent, predictable, and functionally effective investment environment that meets the needs of sustainable development and the requirements of economic security. It is emphasized that integrating the investment climate enables the national economy to transform the consequences of potential shocks in crisis periods into impulses for further development, thereby minimizing the intensity and scale of security threats. The feasibility of forming and implementing a systemic, multi-level state policy across several interrelated areas aimed at ensuring the integration of the investment climate in conditions of high investment risks arising from the current military-political situation in the country is proven. Keywords: integrated investment climate, economic policy, economic security of the state, investment processes, adaptability of the economy.

ABSTRACT The increasing pressure of sustainability and circular development of products remains a critical challenge for high‐tech SMEs in China. The research has advanced its knowledge by determining how AI‐based analytics, knowledge acquisition, opportunity exploitation, and circular innovation orientation drive circular product development performance. The study also examines these relationships under the influence of knowledge transfer and sustainable entrepreneurial orientation, which serve as mediators and moderators. The outcomes based on PLS‐SEM, reveal that factors such as AI‐based analytics, knowledge acquisition, opportunity exploitation, and circular innovation directly influence circular product development performance. The role of knowledge transfer indirectly appears to be substantial, suggesting its crucial role in circular performance. The findings also highlight that the addition of sustainable orientation as a moderator would amplify the circular performance outcomes. However. These outcomes highlight that not only organizational and technological resources are crucial, but also behavioral factors which are equally essential in the circular product life cycle. The considerations confirm that such performances stem from a resource‐based and knowledge‐based view, which are further shaped by circular innovations; hence, they should be treated as a critical lever of circular performance.

Purpose Recently, “lying flat” became a buzzword, reflecting that employees are not working hard and muddying along. Hotel employees' lying flat behaviours will affect the hotel's customer service and lead to the loss of repeat customers. Therefore, this study aims to examine how work values affect hotel employees' turnover intention and lying flat behaviours through their burnout-quitting (job burnout and quiet quitting). Design/methodology/approach A research model was constructed based on the structure of the value-attitude-behaviour model. Seven hundred thirty-nine data points were collected from seven hotel groups in China, comprising Chinese hotel groups and international hotel groups. Findings The results indicate that utilitarian orientation value will increase employees' job burnout and quiet quitting, and intrinsic preferences, interpersonal harmony and long-term development will reduce employees' job burnout and quiet quitting. Innovative orientation will reduce employees' quiet quitting, but it does not have any effect on employees' job burnout. Burnout-quitting has a positive direct impact on hotel employees' turnover intention and lying flat behaviours. Originality/value This study provides evidence to explain the role of “burnout-quitting” in influencing employees' negative behaviours and contributes to hotel research by examining the values that reduce hotel employees' negative attitudes and behaviours. The managerial recommendations derived from these findings are discussed.

ABSTRACT This study examines how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies influence green innovation in small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies. Grounded in the resource‐based view and stakeholder theory, we argue that ESG practices enhance green innovation and that this relationship is moderated by a firm's innovation orientation. Using data from 317 Romanian SMEs analyzed using partial least‐squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM), we find that all three ESG dimensions positively affect green innovation, with environmental practices being the most influential. Innovation orientation significantly strengthens these effects, particularly in the case of environmental strategies. These findings contribute to ESG and innovation literature by providing practical evidence from a transitional economy and highlighting the complementary role of ESG and innovation orientation. The study suggests that Romanian SMEs—and, by extension, those in similar emerging markets—can boost green innovation by adopting integrated ESG strategies supported by an innovation‐driven culture. Policymakers are encouraged to complement ESG reporting mandates with initiatives that develop SMEs' innovation capabilities and create a more sustainable and competitive business landscape.

This study examined how public sector workers in East Jerusalem experience the psychological consequences of technology integration in the workplace by looking at factors contributing to job burnout, innovation orientation, and personal and professional development. The study emerged from research conducted over several years showing increasing reliance on various forms of digital-mediated and social media technology such as telework and digital meeting platforms, mobile communication tools, and artificial intelligence in public organizations, and ultimately to make sense of the emotional and psychological consequences of these changes. The researchers employed a qualitative approach and conducted semi-structured interviews with 40 public sector employees. Although technology provided some level of flexibility, innovation, and sense of self-growth, it also contributed to emotional exhaustion, technostress, unequal access to personal and professional development opportunities, and heightened sense of surveillance. Overall, the study found that the success of technology integration depended heavily on organizational readiness to adopt it, equitable access and opportunities regardless of personal characteristics or situation, and systems of emotional support in place. The researchers recommended that public sector institutions create comprehensive, inclusive digital policies; provide ongoing and accessible training; and normalize the use of psychological support systems. Overall, the study contributes to the literature on digital transformation within socio-politically complex territories, and underscores the need for more human-centered approaches to implementing technology in public sector organizations.
