Infrastructure Development of the Village Fund Model of Poverty Eradication in Indonesia

Poverty is a problem of global society. Indonesia also faces the same problem. As a developing country, the poor population in Indonesia is also relatively large. The Village Fund was initiated by the government to become an excellent program that is expected to eradicate poverty. Since it was implemented in 2015, until now there have been many problems related to the Village Fund program. This research was conducted to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for the effectiveness of village funds in alleviating poverty. This research used descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and document searches. From the research conducted, there has been an increase in infrastructure development in the village through the Village Fund. However, infrastructure improvements have not been effective in reducing the number of poor people. This is driven by the large allocation of village funds for infrastructure development rather than allocations for activities that directly impact the improvement of the people’s economy. Pendekatan Konsep Penerapan Green Infrastructure Pada Kawasan Perumahan Berbasis Komunal

This research aims to discuss policies and implementation of green infrastructure in Indonesia in communal-based housing areas. The references used for come from problems and best practices from other countries that have implemented green infrastructure. The method used is a descriptive method with a literature review approach. This research was carried out by understanding concepts, regulations, application of concepts, as well as identifying problems and providing recommendations related to green infrastructure in Indonesia. Based on the research results, there are six main regulations that serve as a reference for implementing green infrastructure in residential areas in Indonesia. Where the important thing in this regulation is Green Open Space (RTH) in the city with a minimum area proportion of 30%, rainwater storage is also set at a capacity of 50% of the amount of rainwater that falls according to annual rainfall and a general room temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. with relative humidity of 60%. The main problem is that 30% to 40% of carbon dioxide emissions are produced by buildings, which shows that buildings have a significant contribution to the process of environmental damage, as do residential areas. In Indonesia, the concept of green infrastructure that is applied is oriented towards zero energy use and the use of renewable energy. Holistic policy regulations are needed, from upstream to downstream as a form of implementing green infrastructure in residential areas, such as several developed countries in the world, namely the United States, England and Singapore, which have implemented policy regulations for sustainable implementation of green infrastructure in their countries.

In Indonesia, the accumulation of plastic waste must be addressed immediately because the amount will increase over time. In 2022, the total amount of plastic waste produced in Indonesia will reach 9.13 million tons, making Indonesia the country with the 5th most significant amount worldwide. The large amount of plastic waste produced must be dried through proper processing. Because if not, plastic waste will continue to pile up and cause various problems. Meanwhile, the high growth of infrastructure in Indonesia has caused an increase in demand for construction materials, one of which is cement. To meet this demand, the cement manufacturing industry exploits natural resources on a large scale, which will hurt nature. Apart from that, the cement fabrication process also causes problems in the form of waste and produces carbon dioxide gas, which pollutes the air. This research was carried out to make bricks made from plastic and sand with an interlock system to reduce environmental negative impacts. And to find out the effect of ezzleblock composition on brick quality. This research planned to use experimental methods by collecting essential materials car, trying out the production process, and testing them in the laboratory to obtain data. Using plastic waste and sand as materials for making ezzleblocks, it is planned to create a high-quality interlock brick with dimensions of (300x120x150) mm. Its high compressive strength, low air absorption capacity, and sturdy construction demonstrate this.

Strand Inventory Analysis of Post Tension in PT XYZ Using Discrete-Event Simulation Method

The development of connectivity infrastructure, particularly toll roads, is planned to continue expanding and reach 3,500 km by 2030. This signifies a positive outlook for the construction industry. This research conducted to analyse the management of post tension raw materials and determine the optimal policies using the discrete-event simulation method. Simulation scenarios were developed using the Arena application, taking into consideration the demand patterns for post tension work. The validation test results confirmed the capability of the base case model in accurately representing real-world conditions. Scenario development was carried out to influence the strand inventory pattern by incorporating reorder points and adjusting order sizes. Based on the scenario analysis, the most effective approach was found to be setting a reorder point of 3 tons and an order size of 5 tons. The implementation of this analysis successfully reduced the strand inventory by 58.78%. This research enables companies to optimize their inventory, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. The findings contribute to the development of strategies that support sustainable growth in connectivity infrastructure in Indonesia.

The role of good project governance in PPP project for toll road infrastructure in Indonesia

The use of infrastructure as a catalyst for Indonesia’s economic growth faces significant challenges. One example is the construction projects, which have not reached the intended goal and have led to an increase in investment cost compared to the original plan. Additionally, the interaction between the government and companies involved in toll-road construction projects under the public-private partnerships (PPP) mechanism has yet to produce good quality project governance and expected project performance. This study aimed to find empirical data on the determination of project intellectual capital and project ownership structure through good project governance on toll-road project performance in Indonesia. This study adopted a quantitative approach that involved data collected through a survey conducted among toll-road projects from 2015 to 2019. The data was analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results showed that project intellectual capital and project ownership structure significantly affected good project governance. Good project governance Practices significantly affected project performance. Project intellectual capital and project ownership structure influenced project performance through the mediation of good project governance. Conversely, two hypotheses were not supported by the data, i.e., the effect of project intellectual capital and project ownership structure on project performance. The findings of this research contributed to the literature regarding the implementation of collaborative governance in PPPs toll road development projects in Indonesia by providing a framework and assessment tools, which could be valuable for researchers and policymakers in analyzing and evaluating the governance and performance of toll road construction PPP projects.

Analysis of Fatal Construction Accidents in Indonesia—A Case Study

Booming demand for facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia has led to an increase in construction-related accidents. Court rulings provide valuable data on accident circumstances, which can help improve safety standards. Although information on these accidents is scarce and not systematically consolidated, effective data gathering and analysis can lead to better safety outcomes. This study analyzes 150 court rulings in construction industry accident cases and their related decision frameworks to identify seven risk categories using scenario analysis. The correlative patterns and their associated significance are explored via descriptive statistical analysis, and four categories, namely project, task, accident, and medium, were found to be correlated. The results of the cross-tabulation test between two categories were used to highlight correlated categories. Toll road works accounted for 52% of accident cases, with collisions with construction machinery being the most frequent accident type (36%, 76 cases). Lifting and moving goods had respective phi and Cramer values of 0.534 and 0.001. It is obvious that future safety improvement efforts should focus on roadway projects and utilizing construction vehicles for transportation and lifting work. This can be achieved through increased regulatory compliance, proper utilization of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring vehicle suitability. The results of this study are highly relevant to workplace health and safety officers and risk management personnel.

Independent Campus Student Exchange Sentiment Analysis Using SVM

Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a machine learning method that is widely used for regression and classification problems, especially application review classification. Student exchange is one of the programs that universities must prepare. The student exchange program is intended to reduce the problem of disparities in educational facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia. The advantage of student exchange is that they can manage their time, have high awareness in communicating, are able to admit when they experience problems and need help, independent student exchange offers study options of up to 20 credits, both covering Higher Education Recipients courses and activities in the form of the Nusantara Module. Additionally, students are offered the option to register for a maximum of 6 credits of higher education online. The method used in this research is the SVM algorithm, the dataset used consists of 1000 comment reviews with a ratio of 70;30. This research was implemented in a web system using the Python programming language. Of the 300 test data implemented with 700 training data. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm in classifying review data obtained the highest accuracy in dividing training data & test data 70:30 at 85.00% then precision 28.33%, recall 33.33%

Using Metroxylon sagu leaves as a roof material for thermal comfort in humid tropical buildings

The utilisation of indigenous building materials for tourism, commercial, and public infrastructure in Indonesia is currently seeing significant growth. In Indonesia, the use of sago (Metroxylon sagu) and sugar palm leaves (Arenga pinnata) as roofing materials is considered a sustainable practice. Lack of locally generated and refined end products has increased demand for unsustainable plastic synthesis materials. This article studies sago and sugar palm leaf roof capacity and thermal performance. Two experimental models were built using sago leaf roofs (the studied model) and zinc roofs (the reference model) to compare their thermal performance. The study was to assess the temperatures of the attic, interior, and surfaces of the roof for each model. The thermal performance of zinc roofing for lowering air temperatures is worse than that of sago leaf roofs. One week of data showed air temperature changes throughout the roof, attic, and internal space surfaces of the two models. The comparison reveals that sago leaf roofs are cooler than zinc roofs and perform better thermally. Research shows that sago leaf roofs reduce heat better than zinc roofs. This finding indicates that there is a possibility of utilising them as a viable cooling option for architectural structures.

The state of sustainable and disaster-resilient infrastructure in Indonesia

This paper discusses the paradigm shift in the way we think about disaster resilience and sustainability in the context of infrastructure, particularly in lower-income and disaster-prone countries like Indonesia. We highlight the importance of resilience as a critical component of sustainability, as it improves the agility and flexibility of infrastructure against future climate-related and other hazards. We discuss the potential trade-offs between disaster-resilient infrastructure and sustainable infrastructure and suggest that decision-makers can use a comprehensive approach that considers the overlap between the physical environment, social dynamics, metabolic flows, and governance networks to address these challenges. To obtain research objectives, a combination of three methods was used, namely policy analysis, case study, and comparative approach. This combination is to get a holistic picture of Indonesia’s conditions. This paper also presents several approaches that can be used to prioritize both resilience and sustainability in infrastructure projects.

Characteristics of artificial coarse aggregate from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic waste for highway flexible pavement

Aggregates are a major component of hot mix asphalt and make up about 85% of the total mix volume. The increasing expansion of road infrastructure in Indonesia has led to a depletion of aggregate resources. Conversely, Indonesia is one of the largest producers of plastic waste in Southeast Asia. The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential of high density plastics (HDPE) for use as artificial aggregate material in flexible road pavements. The parameters investigated include softening and melting point, penetration and elongation index, gradation value, specific gravity, absorption and abrasion of the aggregates. The investigations into the physical properties of the artificial aggregates revealed a softening point of 265°C and a melting point of 272°C. The penetration index was 0.77% and the elongation index was 0.70%. The classification values passing through the 3/4" sieve were 100%, 66.88% for the 1/2" sieve and 25.96% for the 3/8" sieve. The specific gravity of the artificial coarse aggregate was 1.629. The absorption of the artificial coarse aggregate was 1.270% and the abrasion value was 0.15%. In summary, the artificial coarse aggregates produced from HDPE plastic waste can serve as a partial substitute for natural coarse aggregates.

ANALISIS RISIKO PADA PROYEK PEMBANGUNAN DIKAWASAN INDUSTRI

Indonesia as one of the member countries with the largest GDP in the world. has its own challenges to be able to maintain and even increase GDP. In fulfilling this, the government is still trying to increase the provision of infrastructure in Indonesia to support construction developments in industrial areas and work together with the private sector (investors, contractors and operators) to realize the provision of these areas. The process of developing industrial estates this requires tools to analyze risks. In reality it is very difficult to control the emergence of risks that cannot be resolved or overcome, starting from identifying risks to finding ways to reduce their impact on achieving project objectives regarding the level of risk involved. Risk factor analysis is seen from the magnitude of the impact (impact) and the probability (probability) of the risk event. Based on previous research, a summary is made by separating the risk into 2 stages of risk. The first is the risk during pre-construction and the second is during the construction stage. The risk weights and risk categories are obtained from the results of risk identification, the risks identified in development projects in the industrial area are 28 risks and 8 types of risk sources. It is the risks that have quite a large value that are the most dominant risks that occur in development projects in industrial estates, based on the results of an analysis of the frequency of occurrence of risks and based on the impact of the risks that occur. Risk of tender process error, contract document error, standardization differences, community rejection, risk of weather conditions.

Improving co-creation strategies and competitive strategies to achieve business performance

The foundation of this study is the findings from implementing co-creation and competitive strategies to increase the operation efficiency of wholesale service companies of Information Communication Technology (ICT) of network, internet and infrastructure in Indonesia. It is necessary to review journal papers that discuss business performance in wholesale service companies of ICT of network, internet, and infrastructure. The study aims to find out whether a co-creation strategy and competitive strategy can drive business performance. The research method uses a quantitative approach using data collected using 54 random samples from a population and the data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. Results showed that both co-creation and competitive strategy affected business performance, but the competitive strategy was dominant. The insights gathered from this study should help wholesale service companies of ICT continually enhance their co-creation and competitive strategies, which will boost their overall performance.

Penguatan Kapasitas Pemahaman Hak Akses dan Pemantauan Akses Internet Melalui Pelatihan Berbasis Komunitas Desa di Kabupaten Cirebon

The development of infrastructure in Indonesia which targets rural connectivity in 3T areas (Disadvantaged, Outermost, Foremost) means that village communities must prepare themselves. Especially in ensuring the fulfillment of digital rights. There are three digital rights, namely the right to access the Internet (right to access), the right to express online (right to express), and the right to feel safe in the digital realm (right on safety). For this reason, training to increase understanding of Internet access rights as well as training to monitor access based on rural communities is important. Village community-based capacity building training was carried out for representatives of villages, namely Kalikoa, Purbawinangun, Sutawinangun, Astanajapura, Munjul, Buntet and Ciperna villages. This training has the impact of increasing the capacity of the village community in knowledge and understanding of Internet access, and increasing the technical capacity for monitoring and reporting skills through existing tools. The results of the training showed good learning and increased capacity. This is shown by (1) increasing understanding through the pretest and posttest. Internet Knowledge becomes Very Knowledgeable (35.7%) and Knowledgeable (64.3%). Disagree (78.6%) with Internet disruptions and blackouts, and have the right to protest when digital rights violations occur (85.7%). (2) The results of the discussion metaplan show the problem mapping and alternatives developed; and (3) the practice of testing internet networks, both during training and after training, shows that the community can monitor and carry out independent testing.

Exploring the Cargo Potential: A Comprehensive Analysis of Kertajati Airport

Motorized vehicle can’t be apart from our daily activity, because it’s very significantly save our time and energy. According to Erwin (in Sasongko, 2014: 1) mentioned air pollution that comes out from motorized vehicle is very high, so it can pollute the environment and harm human health. Besides, the fossil fuel is an unrenewable which is running low and will cause an energy crisis. So we need alternative energy that is more eco friendly, common, and easy to obtain. Therefore, electric vehicle are one solution to this problem. Electric vehicle is a fuelless vehicle that ran by electric motor with battery for the energy supplier. In accordance with the Kepmen ESDM No. 13 Tahun 2020 about “that to increase the energy efficiency, energy resilience, and energy conservation in transportation sector, it needs to accelerate the battery-based electric motor vehicle program” so that it is necessary to develop innovations to support electric vehicle infrastructure in Indonesia. BLDC Motor is one of the motor type that used in electric vehicle. BLDC Motor used by one of the electric vehicle brands in Indonesia named GESITS, experienced an overheat on the BLDC motor after travelling 30 kilometers around Bekasi (GESITS, 2016). Finally to add cooling to the BLDC Motor, an external fan is installed. This experience shows the importance of cooling to maintain BLDC Motor durability. In addition to cooling the electric motor, it is necessary to pay attention to the efficiency produced by the electric motor. So that it can make consideration of battery consumption on the motorcycle design. Based on the problems above, this research will analyze the efficiency and thermal of a 3000 Watt BLDC Motor in the design of an electric motorcycle. The data collection will be carried out by using the Dynotest tool or Chassis Dynamometer to obtain amount of power, torque, electric current and thermal on the electric motor being tested. From these data calculations will be carried out for the efficiency of a 3000 Watt BLDC Motor. So that this research can be used as a reference for the further development of electric vehicles.

Economic growth is an indicator of the success of economic development, characterized by the process of increasing output per capita in the long term. Efficiency in economic activities must be accompanied by adequate infrastructure, especially road and electricity infrastructure, so that it will encourage a sustainable increase in regional potential, where the development of infrastructure in Indonesia is currently progressing quite rapidly in Indonesia, both in national and regional infrastructure development. Sidoarjo from 2010 to 2020 has not yet met the target in terms of development, there is still a lot of infrastructure that has not been improved, however, in the development of infrastructure development which will start in 2021, there will be a lot of development in infrastructure starting in the District. Systematic Literature Review The Role of Educational Facilities and Infrastructure for Children with Special Needs at School

Children with special needs need quality facilitators. One form of facilitator that children with special needs need to have is facilities and infrastructure that can support their education. The purpose of this study is to add insight into the importance of educational facilities and infrastructure for children with special needs in schools and to see what the real condition of educational facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia in recent years. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to collect and analysed data from 14 articles relevant to the topic under review. The results show the importance of the role of facilities and infrastructure for children with special needs which greatly affects learning outcomes as well as how the real conditions of facilities and infrastructure are still not appropriate, causing many problems for both students with special needs and educators. The results of this study are expected to help all parties to care more about the conditions of facilities and infrastructure for children with special needs in schools, be it students, teachers, school authorities, parents, government, and or the public.

Grouping Data On Infrastructure Development In Langkat District Using The Clustering Method (Case Study: PUPR, Langkat Regency)

A building is a man-made structure consisting of walls and a roof permanently erected in a place. Buildings can also be called houses and buildings, namely all facilities, infrastructure or infrastructure in culture as well as human life in building their civilization. Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) play an important role in increasing the development of national infrastructure in Indonesia so that PUPR can assist in clustering research in infrastructure development in Langkat Regency which is very large every year by grouping the data based on activity names, company names, sub-districts development, and look at the last four years.To classify existing development infrastructure in Langkat Regency with the previous system used by the PUPR Service which is still running by recording in a ledger and hindering reporting performance in grouping PUPR service infrastructure development in road construction, bridge construction and others. So that the existence of grouping using the clustering method helps the PUPR service in clustering infrastructure development data in Langkat Regency to be more effective and efficient.The clustering method is one of the methods that can be applied in classifying infrastructure development data taken from the analysis of Langkat Regency PUPR data regarding developments that have taken place in several sub-districts in Langkat Regency. INOVASI LAPIS PONDASI ATAS CTB (CEMENT TREATED BASE) MENGGUNAKAN SUBTITUSI POFA DAN LIMBAH CANGKANG KERANG HIJAU

During the current administration, the construction sector, especially toll road infrastructure in Indonesia, has increased. This will increase the amount of cement production to meet construction needs. Even though the cement industry is one of the contributors to gas emissions. In addition, the plantation sector can be optimized as an alternative construction material. Such as palm shell waste (POFA), which contains the same content as cement. The fisheries sector can also be optimized as an alternative construction material. such as green mussel shells which have the same content as cement, which is pozzolanic. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to optimize palm oil shell waste and green mussel shells as cement substitution materials in CTB to reduce gas emissions. The method used is research and experimentation by partially substituting cement by 10% and 20% using POFA. 5% and 10% use green mussel shell waste which will later be compared with the CTB Job mix formula which complies with the general specifications by testing the compressive strength of concrete and analysis of CTB work unit prices per 1 m3. The results of this study revealed that the highest compressive strength of 5.5 MPa occurred in 20% POFA substituted CTB and 10% green mussel shells. This compressive strength is higher than Normal CTB. However, from the results of price analysis it can be seen that 20% POFA substitution CTB and 10% green mussel shells require a 3.7% higher cost than the Normal CTB price or a difference of Rp.19,792.22.
