Revitalizing Religious Learning in Madrasah Through the Use of Technology

In today's digital age, the use of information technology (IT) has become commonplace in many aspects of life, including in education. This study deals with the use of IT as a tool for revitalizing religious learning in madrasah with the aim of improving the effectiveness and quality of teaching learning processes. In the context of the madrasah, religious learning is often considered monotonous and less attractive, so the use of IT is expected to enrich teaching methods and expand students' access to diverse learning resources. This research uses literary methods by searching for references in accordance with the context of the research. Research results show that IT has great potential in supporting more interactive and enjoyable learning. Some examples of successful IT implementations include the use of interactive learning applications, social media for learning discussions, the creation of digital content such as educational videos and podcasts, and the implementation of Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate student progress tracking. However, the study also identified barriers, such as infrastructure constraints, lack of training for teachers, and resistance to change on some sides. To overcome these obstacles, joint efforts between educational institutions, governments, and communities are needed to improve the availability of facilities, as well as conduct a comprehensive teacher training programme in the use of IT. Therefore, with adequate support and mature planning, IT can be a powerful tool in revitalizing religious learning in the madrasah, thereby producing a more dynamic, interactive, and adapted learning process

Tourist Tracking Techniques and Their Role in Destination Management: A Bibliometric Study, 2007–2023

The tourism industry has recently undergone a significant evolution because of the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). These changes have raised new conceptions of destinations, thus giving rise to smart destinations. In this context, digital tracking of tourists has become of great interest. This article aims to analyze the research landscape on tourist tracking through a bibliometric study, which allows the evaluation of the performance of publications, recognition of the prominent SciVal topics, analysis of the evolution of the techniques, and recognition of their use as a tool that contributes to the development of smart destinations. Unlike prior studies in this area, in addition to the performance analysis of publications, this paper focuses only on empirical studies on tourist tracking, identifies the prominent SciVal topics, and analyzes the linkage thereof with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The bibliometric study was carried out based on articles on tourist tracking extracted from the Scopus database and published between 2007 and 2023. This research is mainly quantitative, based on research performance analysis (journals, authors, institutions, and countries) and science mapping (citation analysis, co-word analysis, co-authorship analysis). Results show the quality of the publications made in the 2007–2023 period and indicate that the most used techniques have been GPS devices, social media, and app-based GPS/GNSS. In addition, it was found that the evolution of the techniques occurred at the same time as the development of ICT and that the prominent SciVal topic that covers the largest number of publications is associated with destination management. It is concluded that the application of tourist tracking techniques contributes to the transformation of destinations into smart destinations, as they provide useful relevant information to tourism market stakeholders for the development of strategies that improve decision-making and allow for the sustainable management of destinations.

Digitalization of anesthesiology and resuscitation services: multicenter questionnaire study

OBJECTIVE: To substantiate recommendations for the implementation of the concept and technologies of digitalization of the anesthesiology and resuscitation (A&R) service in multidisciplinary hospitals to solve the problem of ensuring the safety of patients and medical personnel. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study presents data on the implementation of information technology in the practice of the A&R service based on information received from 235 anesthesiology and resuscitation specialists working in leadership positions in various categories of healthcare institutions. Method of collecting information: experts independently completed the online version of the questionnaire. Sampling principle: intentional. Survey period: April 12, 2023 — August 4, 2023. RESULTS: In 87 % of hospitals the medical information system (MIS) of the A&R service is part of the hospital’s MIS. Only in 23 % of hospitals all workstations of the anesthesiologist-resuscitator are connected to the MIS. Logging into a personal electronic workplace using access rights on any of the hospital’s personal computers was confirmed by 87 % of respondents. Hospitals in which anesthesiology and resuscitation equipment are not integrated into the MIS account for 89 %. In the case of branches with a local A&R information system, equipment in 44 % of similar branches is connected to it. Only in 51 % of hospitals the A&R receives data from the laboratory information system, the integration rates with the radiological information system are even lower and amount to only 34 %. The study revealed a significant problem with the introduction of clinical recommendations, drug reference books, as well as prevention and manipulation protocols, various requirements and, in particular, scales/indices for assessing the condition of patients into the MIS. CONCLUSIONS: For the full functioning of the MIS, organizational solutions are needed that are aimed at implementing the tasks, primary and future. The development and application of modern MIS in anesthesiology and resuscitation will contribute to the further development of the specialty and ensure patient safety and adequate quality of medical care. It is necessary to unify the requirements for MIS developers according to the main components in the functionality.

Correlation between two distant quasiparticles in separate superconducting islands mediated by a single spin

Controlled coupling between distant particles is a key requirement for the implementation of quantum information technologies. A promising platform are hybrid systems of semiconducting quantum dots coupled to superconducting islands, where the tunability of the dots is combined with the macroscopic coherence of the islands to produce states with non-local correlations, e.g. in Cooper pair splitters. Electrons in hybrid quantum dots are typically not amenable to long-distance spin alignment as they tend to be screened into a localized singlet state by bound superconducting quasiparticles. However, two quasiparticles coming from different superconductors can overscreen the quantum dot into a doublet state, leading to ferromagnetic correlations between the superconducting islands. We present experimental evidence of a stabilized overscreened state, implying correlated quasiparticles over a micrometer distance. We propose alternating chains of quantum dots and superconducting islands as a novel platform for controllable large-scale spin coupling.

Academic Detailing as a Health Information Technology Implementation Method: Supporting the Design and Implementation of an Emergency Department-Based Clinical Decision Support Tool to Prevent Future Falls.

Clinical decision support (CDS) tools that incorporate machine learning-derived content have the potential to transform clinical care by augmenting clinicians' expertise. To realize this potential, such tools must be designed to fit the dynamic work systems of the clinicians who use them. We propose the use of academic detailing-personal visits to clinicians by an expert in a specific health IT tool-as a method for both ensuring the correct understanding of that tool and its evidence base and identifying factors influencing the tool's implementation. This study aimed to assess academic detailing as a method for simultaneously ensuring the correct understanding of an emergency department-based CDS tool to prevent future falls and identifying factors impacting clinicians' use of the tool through an analysis of the resultant qualitative data. Previously, our team designed a CDS tool to identify patients aged 65 years and older who are at the highest risk of future falls and prompt an interruptive alert to clinicians, suggesting the patient be referred to a mobility and falls clinic for an evidence-based preventative intervention. We conducted 10-minute academic detailing interviews (n=16) with resident emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers who had encountered our CDS tool in practice. We conducted an inductive, team-based content analysis to identify factors that influenced clinicians' use of the CDS tool. The following categories of factors that impacted clinicians' use of the CDS were identified: (1) aspects of the CDS tool's design (2) clinicians' understanding (or misunderstanding) of the CDS or referral process, (3) the busy nature of the emergency department environment, (4) clinicians' perceptions of the patient and their associated fall risk, and (5) the opacity of the referral process. Additionally, clinician education was done to address any misconceptions about the CDS tool or referral process, for example, demonstrating how simple it is to place a referral via the CDS and clarifying which clinic the referral goes to. Our study demonstrates the use of academic detailing for supporting the implementation of health information technologies, allowing us to identify factors that impacted clinicians' use of the CDS while concurrently educating clinicians to ensure the correct understanding of the CDS tool and intervention. Thus, academic detailing can inform both real-time adjustments of a tool's implementation, for example, refinement of the language used to introduce the tool, and larger scale redesign of the CDS tool to better fit the dynamic work environment of clinicians.

Contextually balanced engagement: Navigating paradoxes of localisation and cultural embedding in rural health information systems implementation

AbstractAlthough health information systems (HIS) play an important role in elevating health standards, a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively implement HIS in rural areas is lacking. This issue becomes more significant when considering that globally a majority of the approximately 1.5 million deaths of children under the age of five in 2019 that were attributable to vaccine‐preventable diseases occurred in rural areas. Accordingly, we ask two questions. How does rurality influence the implementation of information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) projects? How do organisations navigate challenges associated with rurality during the implementation of these projects? Our findings, derived from an in‐depth case study of a social enterprise in rural India, reveal two paradoxes that pose challenges to the effective implementation of HIS in rural settings: the localisation paradox and the cultural embedding paradox. We found that contextually balanced engagement was comprised of four organisational responses—prioritising; localising; cultural adjustment; and engaging stakeholders—that help navigate the challenges posed by the localisation and cultural embedding paradoxes. Synthesising these findings, we develop a process model that shows how the implementation of HIS in rural areas is shaped by the descriptive and sociocultural characteristics of rurality. Further, organisations require a dynamic approach, engaging in multiple responses over time to navigate the paradoxes inherent in HIS implementation. We suggest that organisational responses to paradoxical tensions stemming from the descriptive and sociocultural characteristics of rurality lead to the development of HIS enabled for rurality. Our findings contribute the understanding of ICT4D projects implementation.

The Effect of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) on Improving Tax Compliance Rates

Kosovo's tax administration plays a fundamental role in the state's functioning, carrying out many duties and obligations. In addition to these duties, TAK also acts as a stabilizing element for the macro-fiscal economy. In addition to the importance of human resources, the function of information technology is unquestionably crucial in achieving TAK's objectives. The implementation of information technology has resulted in the mechanization of several processes, simplifying the gathering of data and the distribution of tax responsibilities. Advanced information technology systems have improved communication channels with taxpayers and other individuals or groups involved, promoting increased transparency in tax information management. The adoption of the Electronic Data Exchange (EDI) application has resulted in advantages not just for TAK but also for taxpayers and the general public. There are several benefits to using TAK, such as increased efficiency in processing tax return data, less dependence on people specifically assigned to tax return processing, and a lower likelihood of errors in tax returns. The benefits for taxpayers and citizens include the convenience of filing and paying taxes, the option to do so online at any time, and the ability to access online services without the need for in-person engagement with tax authorities. Another vital part of TAK's employment of information technology is the facilitation of online declarations and payments, as well as digital connections with taxpayers. This progress has led to higher adherence to tax obligations and a decreased incidence of tax evasion.

Leveraging the Synergy of IPv6, Generative AI, and Web Engineering to Create a Big Data-driven Education Platform

The rapid advancement of network technology in China has significantly accelerated the implementation of information technology in higher education. Through the utilization of computer technology, multimedia technology, big data technology, artificial intelligence technology, and network communication technology, the integration of these technologies in university teaching has become widespread. This paper presents an analysis and discussion on the utilization of the latest IPv6 network transmission protocol technology to enhance the application of data collection in university education, with a specific focus on gathering information related to university faculties. By leveraging web engineering and multimedia technology as fundamental components, the network facilitates the sharing of educational resources among students, thereby enabling the reform of management approaches, fostering educational progress in China, and establishing a comprehensive big data-driven education platform specifically tailored to colleges and universities. Additionally, the incorporation of big data visualization and analysis tools allows for easy retrieval of existing university educational information, facilitates the creation of data charts, and expedites the utilization of data for its inherent value. Finally, the proposed approach employs generative AI to collect and analyze feedback from students and educators, followed by the application of web engineering techniques to continuously enhance the online education platform based on this feedback.

Does Organizational Culture Influence IT-Business Alignment and Business Performance in Large Manufacturing Companies?

This study examines and analyzes the influence of Organizational Culture on business alignment and business performance in large manufacturing companies. This study used a quantitative research method; data were collected using a questionnaire using SmartPLS 4. This study involved 47 large manufacturing companies as unit analysis with multistage sampling in sample selection, first by purposive sampling and second by the Slovin formula. The results of this study stated that organizational culture affects IT-business alignment significantly but has no effect on the business performance. The collaboration and formalization indicators effect on strengthening organizational culture on IT-business alignment. On the other side, the lack of creative and innovative culture in the organizational culture of manufacturing companies has an impact on failure in supporting business performance. The results of this study provide valuable insight for IT and business executives in developing the organizational culture of large manufacturing companies that is suitable to cope with IT implementation strategically namely IT-business alignment in supporting business performance successfully.

The Determinants of Success in the Implementation of Information Technology in Moroccan Companies: Exploratory Case Study

The study, which is being conducted in the context of the widespread use of information technology in Moroccan companies, focuses on examining the success factors of IT implementation. This is a crucial step in maximizing the value of information technology investments. The goal is to address concerns regarding the delay in digital transformation and the role of information technology in establishing a sustainable and irreplaceable competitive advantage. The research methodology utilizes a qualitative approach, specifically a single case study with semi-structured interviews for data collection. The theoretical framework incorporates the resource-based view (RBV) and contingency theories. The key findings of the study emphasize the challenges encountered during information technology implementation, especially concerning the complementarity of organizational and human resources with information technology resources. Based on these challenges, the factors contributing to successful information technology implementation are categorized into three groups: pre-implementation phase, alignment of information technology strategy, and collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders involved in the implementation process.

Problems and solutions in adopting information and communication technology in micro and small enterprises

Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) are predominant worldwide and responsible for the greater employability of citizens, income generation, and production. However, they face resource constraints and rely on information and communication technology to remain competitive, which often causes many problems during or after the adoption process. Knowing the problems that affect micro and small enterprises and the solutions adopted may help other companies face the same issues. In this work, based on a systematic literature review (SLR), we identified and analyzed the problems that occurred during or after the implementation of information and communication technologies in micro and small enterprises and what actions were taken to solve them. We sought to understand the behavior of problems and solutions in the last 21 years and the factors that influenced them. We performed an SLR using the snowballing technique, retrieving 12,936 articles in eight iterations, and selecting and analyzing 105 papers. As a result, we identified 129 problems, divided into 12 categories, and 48 solutions. Such an analysis is advantageous for academia, governments, and business managers, as it allows one to understand problems in advance and formulate more efficient policies, plans, and projects for these enterprises.

Utilization of Smart-System in Assessment Management to Support Teacher Performance at SDIT Darul Muttaqien

The management of learning outcomes at SDIT Darul Muttaqien has a management system using information technology so that it helps teachers' work in managing student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to analyze how information technology helps teachers' work in managing learning outcomes. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation study methods so that it can analyze and describe the use of information technology in managing learning outcomes. The method applied uses in-depth interviews with educational practitioners, direct observation of the process of using technology, and documentation studies related to the implementation of information technology in the context of learning outcomes value management. It was found that there is the use of SmartSystem for scheduling online exams, conducting online exams, analyzing exam answer scores, and reporting learning outcomes scores. In terms of hardware utilization, there is still much that needs to be evaluated. Overall, information technology can help teachers improve their performance, teachers' work becomes more effective and efficient in managing learning outcomes scores.

Employee performance is an achievement achieved by employees when carrying out responsibilities in an agency as an effort to achieve the end of a company that is considered legal in the eyes of the law. The purpose of this finding is to analyze the effect of implementing information technology and transformational leadership on employee performance at PT Bank KB Bukopin Makassar Branch. The number of samples was 159 respondents and 72 data were not used because they did not match the criteria in the study. The results of regression testing show that the use of good information technology will improve employee performance. This condition is different from transformational leadership which shows that transformational leadership does not contribute to employee performance. Due to the rapid development of information technology now, every business must always adapt and take advantage of the latest information technology. The use of information technology provides solutions and benefits for companies in operational, business and financial problems. Information technology certainly needs a kind of framework that makes it easier for companies to map the risks that might occur and in what way the company determines the strategy used so that these risks can be resolved. However, the use of information technology has a significant risk of failure and requires a relatively high investment cost. Such businesses require consistent management of information technology applications. Companies that want to know what risks will arise when implementing information technology really need risk management. To prove that information technology resources are aligned with business processes, carry out risk assessments, manage risks perfectly, carry out maturity level processes, and make recommendations in order to achieve targets that are comparable to company goals, the COBIT 4.1 framework is the framework that best suits the company's interests. The method used for this research consists of several stages, namely, literature study, information gathering, objective setting, risk identification, risk assessment, risk response, risk monitoring, maturity level determination, and making recommendations.

To enhance customer (or patient) experience based on IoT analytical study through technology (IT) transformation for E-healthcare

Over the past few decades, there were drastic changes in information technology across all the domains except healthcare. A new era of Information Communication Technology (ICT) has grown to higher potential by implementing eHealth systems to improve healthcare quality and simplify the problems and challenges health professionals and customer/patient have faced. The purpose of this qualitative, multiple case study was to explore information technology transformation for eHealth, which provides a broad scope to pursue research on how Information Technology (IT) strategy and implementation in eHealth using the latest technologies strategies to implement advanced eHealth systems. These strategies and implementation can provide cost-efficient and effective services to customer/patient instantly. E-Health combines medical information, public health, healthcare services, data delivery, and data security strategies through the internet using the latest web/mobile-based and big data technologies by providing simplified and instant access to customer/patient information. Due to the continuous and advanced technology transformation phase, healthcare industries are still migrating their legacy and outdated eHealth systems and applications to provide a better scope of experiences to their customer/patient. In this research, achieving effective and efficient experience is generated through IoT Sensors as it gets generalized into several different areas of classifications specific to the latest information technology trends, such as the role of smart portal technologies, cloud migration, patient data privacy and security, electronic health records (EHR), cloud infrastructures, internet of things (IoT), big data, and deep learning strategies, eHealth usability, and accessibility.

Issues of Interaction Between Operational and Strategic Management of an Enterprise in a Market Environment

Main problem: One of the priority directions for improving the management system at the enterprise is the organization of effective interaction between strategic and operational management through the formation of a mechanism for their interaction, orienting operational management to achieve strategic goals and objectives. In market conditions, issues of interaction between strategic and operational production management are particularly relevant, allowing solving complex economic problems of the enterprise related to the rational use of resources involved in production, reducing production costs, improving the quality of products, optimizing production potential in order to increase the efficiency of the entire enterprise as a whole and its structural divisions. The role of the mechanism of interaction between strategic and operational production management also lies in the possibility of coordinating those final strategic goals that the enterprise strives for with the actual internal production capabilities. The purpose of this article is to study the issues of interaction between operational and strategic management of an enterprise in a market environment. The theory and modern practice of production management in a competitive environment show that the implementation of operational production management is a natural stage in the implementation of strategic management, therefore, there is a close relationship between them, which manifests itself in their interaction. Methods: The methods of analysis and generalization, the method of systematic and comparative analysis, structural and functional method, economic and mathematical methods, graphical and tabular method were used in the work. Results and their significance: the authors consider the theoretical aspects of the relationship between strategic and operational production management at an enterprise in a competitive environment. There is a low level of compliance of operational tasks of production with the strategic goals of development of domestic enterprises and the special role of information systems designed to link operational and strategic management tasks together. Accordingly, the key aspects of information technology implementation are investigated, including the need for employee training, strategic communications planning, information flow management and the use of data analytics. Examples of successful application of information technologies in various industries and organizations are given.

By exploring its application in enhancing human resources, effectiveness, and educational quality, this research offers valuable perspectives for educators and IT governance professionals seeking to leverage COBIT 5 for optimized educational outcomes.

This research delves into the pivotal elements influencing the adoption of Information Technology (IT) within the internal audit departments of governmental agencies. The study is grounded in detailed interviews conducted at three distinct government organizations, revealing the intricate dynamics of incentives, barriers, and the prospective benefits associated with IT integration. Preliminary results suggest that a myriad of factors critically shape the strategy toward IT implementation. These include the anticipated enhancements in audit efficiency and effectiveness due to IT adoption, the level of support from senior management, budgetary constraints, and the lack of specialized IT expertise. The findings offer insightful recommendations for government bodies, aiming to aid them in navigating the complexities of IT integration. This study not only highlights the significant role of supportive leadership and resource allocation in facilitating IT adoption but also underscores the need for skill development in this domain. Ultimately, it serves as a strategic guide for government agencies to optimize their auditing processes through effective IT integration.
