An Empirical Study on the Educational Application of ChatGPT

At present, the digital transformation of education has become a national strategy, and ChatGPT is of great significance to the in-depth promotion of the digital transformation of education.Chatgpt has become a hot spot at home and abroad. The application of ChatGPT in daily education and study need to be deepened, but there is still a lack of attention to the current situation and effect of ChatGPT at home and abroad. Based on expectation confirmation theory, information system success theory and TAM model, this study constructs a model of the influencing factors of ChatGPT learners' use satisfaction. The results of structural equation analysis show that perceived usefulness, expectation confirmation and information quality have significant positive direct effects on learners' satisfaction; perceived ease of use, system quality and social influence have significant positive direct effects on learners' perceived usefulness; system quality and information quality have significant positive direct effects on learners' expectation confirmation; perceived usefulness has significant positive direct effects on behavior intention; system quality has significant positive direct effects on perceived ease of use. The results of qualitative comparative analysis of fuzzy sets show that there are six schemes to promote learners' satisfaction. The overall coverage of the six configurations is 0.974215, and the consistency is 0.71898. On the basis of the above research, some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward finally.

Service Quality Attributes and Customers Usage of E-banking Payment Transactions in Developing Countries: A Study of Tanzania

This paper aimed to examine the effects of service quality measures of information system success on customers’ usage of e-banking payment transactions in Tanzania. It was hypothesised that Service quality measures of information systems positively influence the usage of e-banking payment transactions. This hypothesis was tested by the partial least square structural equation modelling technique (PLS-SEM) through the use of SmartPLS3. The study is informed by the information system success theory and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The study adopted a cross-sectional survey approach, where 400 respondents were involved. The results show that responsiveness, privacy, assurance, empathy, and customer support have a significant positive influence on customers' usage of e-banking payment transactions. The findings imply that customers who are highly concerned with the availability of high-quality services in e-banking have the potential to enhance the usage of e-banking payment transactions. Thus, managers in the banking industry are urged to uplift the level of service quality as a strategy to elevate customers' usage of e-banking payment transactions. Future research is recommended to look into the influence of service quality measures on information system success and usage of e-payment in other sectors like the public transportation system, and schools.

Customer Shopping Behavior on E-Commerce Effectiveness Using the Information System Success Theory Approach

In addressing the purpose of this research, it seeks to unravel the intricacies of payment systems in e-commerce, particularly focusing on the challenges posed by the indirect nature of transactions. The design and methodology of the study involve a comprehensive examination of customer perceptions and concerns, emphasising payment security and privacy in the digital landscape. This investigation stems from recognising that security is a linchpin for the successful development of Internet-based payment systems. Within the discourse of e-commerce, customer apprehensions regarding the security of their payment and financial information, encompassing details like credit card transaction numbers, are prevalent. As the e-commerce market in Indonesia experiences rapid growth, exemplified by the leadership of Tokopedia, the competition among companies and organisations intensifies. The endeavour to satisfy customers becomes a formidable challenge for many, underscoring the need for nuanced insights into the factors influencing customer satisfaction. Adopting the Information System Success Theory as a theoretical framework, this study posits that customer concerns about the payment system significantly impact the perceived quality of service. In this context, quality serves as a yardstick for measuring effectiveness by delving into the intricate layers of customer satisfaction. The research employs Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) as the chosen methodology, engaging with the perspectives of 100 respondents to derive meaningful conclusions. Despite its contributions, the study acknowledges its limitations, including the inherent subjectivity in customer perceptions. Nevertheless, the implications drawn from this research carry significance for the ongoing refinement and enhancement of e-commerce payment systems, providing valuable insights for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers navigating the dynamic intersection of technology and consumer satisfaction in the digital age.

Development and validation of the e-learning satisfaction scale (eLSS)

AimThis study was conducted to develop the e-Learning Satisfaction Scale (eLSS) and to examine its validity and reliability. MethodsThe item pool was generated based on related scales, a literature review, and in-depth interviews with 14 participants who had e-learning experience based on the DeLone and McLean information system success theory. Subjects aged 20 or older with e-learning experience were recruited in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheong provinces of South Korea using convenience sampling between June and August 2021. Content validity was verified by two nursing professionals. Exploratory factor analysis, convergent validity, and internal consistency reliability were examined with 150 subjects, and confirmatory factor analysis was undertaken with 154 subjects. ResultsThe eLSS consists of 17 items with three factors: content, interface, and communication. Convergent validity with the eLSS was supported, and Cronbach's alpha was .93. Confirmatory factor analysis showed a good model fit (χ2 = 236.9, p < .001, Q = 2.11, SRMR = 0.07, RMSEA = 0.08, IFI = 0.92, AGFI = 0.97, NFI = 0.85, CFI = 0.92, PNFI = 0.70, PCFI = 0.75). ConclusionThe eLSS is a valid and reliable scale for quickly and easily measuring experiences with distance learning and the effectiveness of e-learning.

The adoption of cloud accounting information system in Jordanian financial firms: Influencing factors

The advent of cloud accounting is a relatively recent development that has had a significant impact on the operation of financial companies. Within this framework, there is a paucity of information regarding the elements that may influence the adoption of cloud accounting information systems. This study builds an effect model based on the information system success theory, and then experimentally evaluates it with data from 391 employees working in Jordanian financial organizations using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of these tests are presented. It was discovered that concepts such as perceived utility, information quality, system quality, and service quality had an effect on the adoption of cloud accounting information systems.

A Structural Topic Model for Exploring User Satisfaction with Mobile�Payments

This study explored user satisfaction with mobile payments by applying a novel structural topic model. Specifically, we collected 17,927 online reviews of a specific mobile payment (i.e., PayPal). Then, we employed a structural topic model to investigate the relationship between the attributes extracted from online reviews and user satisfaction with mobile payment. Consequently, we discovered that “lack of reliability” and “poor customer service” tend to appear in negative reviews. Whereas, the terms “convenience,” “user-friendly interface,” “simple process,” and “secure system” tend to appear in positive reviews. On the basis of information system success theory, we categorized the topics “convenience,” “user-friendly interface,” and “simple process,” as system quality. In addition, “poor customer service” was categorized as service quality. Furthermore, based on the previous studies of trust and security, “lack of reliability” and “secure system” were categorized as trust and security, respectively. These outcomes indicate that users are satisfied when they perceive that system quality and security of specific mobile payments are great. On the contrary, users are dissatisfied when they feel that service quality and reliability of specific mobile payments is lacking. Overall, our research implies that a novel structural topic model is an effective method to explore mobile payment user experience.

Examining the effect of user satisfaction and business intelligence system usage on individual job performance

Business intelligence systems are in widespread use today due to the many business benefits. Users are one of the key stakeholders in the business intelligence process. For optimal system adaptation, the user should be able to interact with the application in order to improve its capacity to contribute to decision-making. For the business intelligence process itself to be effective, it is necessary to define the user needs regardless of the type of work they do. If the user is satisfied and thinks that the system improves his/her performance or the quality of decisions made, they will want to use it even more. System usage has sometimes been viewed as a direct reflection of system performance; however, this is difficult to define in organizations where system usage is mandatory. Business intelligence systems are especially mandatory to use, as they are used in large organizations and require greater investment than other systems. This is why it is important to investigate the nature of system usage and its impact on individual performance. This research model deals with determinants that represent dimensions of the information system's success theory. Those determinants are: user satisfaction, intention to use, system usage, and individual performance. Obtained results show that increased user satisfaction and intention to use, lead to increased system usage and that both the increase in user satisfaction and system usage lead to a rise in individual user performance.

Assessment of County Internal Control System on Financial Accountability in Tana River County, Kenya

The public management of funds in Tana River County has been ineffectual and the report of the auditor general has reported massive squandering of the public resources. The poor financial accountability formed the rationale of conducting the study to assess how the county's internal control system influences financial accountability in Tana River County. The study was based on four theories, namely agency cost theory, classical management theory, stewardship theory and information systems success theory. The study employed a mixed methodology and specifically a convergent parallel mixed-methods perspective. The study adopted the descriptive research design. The targeted population for the study was 324 employees in Tana River County. A stratified sampling technique was used to get the sample size of 200 respondents. The data collection instruments comprised of questionnaires and interview guides. The results of the study indicated that monitoring systems, information and communication systems, risk management systems and internal audits explain 67.4% of the variations in financial accountability. The regression results showed that risk management system is positively and significantly related to financial accountability (β=.287 p=0.000). Moreover, it was found that internal audits and financial accountability are positively and significantly related (β=.406 p=0.000). Likewise, the study found that information and communication systems and financial accountability is positively and significantly related (β=.25 p=0.000). The study also found a positive and significant relationship between monitoring and financial accountability in Tana River County. (β=.144 p=0.000). Moreover, it was revealed there is a moderating effect of government policy and regulations on the relationship between internal control systems and financial accountability in Tana River County since the coefficient of determination (R squared) increased to 73.9%. The study recommended that counties need to develop a risk management system to spur efficiency and transparency. There should be an effective management system that could evaluate risks in advance to enables counties to maintain those risks within controlled levels. The internal auditor need to be monitored regularly to minimize the chances of presenting reports with mistakes and exaggerations. There is the need to have internal reviews of revenue targets during the financial year. Moreover, it is recommended stringent measures should be taken against the county employees found with corruption cases. Developing a model to identify the antecedents and consequences of user satisfaction with digital libraries

PurposeThe primary objective of the present study was to design and develop a model to identify the antecedents and consequences of user satisfaction with digital libraries.Design/methodology/approachThe theoretical framework of this study was based on information system success theory, technology acceptance model (TAM), media affinity theory, satisfaction-loyalty theory and engagement theory. In so doing, eight hypothesized relationships were formulated to develop the conceptual model. The study approach was quantitative. Using simple random sampling technique, a total of 409 Iranian students participated in the study and responded to the survey. Descriptive and inferential data analysis was also performed using SPSS and SmartPLS3 software.FindingsThe results showed that the generic usability of digital library and the quality of digital resources could be used as a functional theoretical framework to predict and understand the factors contributing to user satisfaction in the domain of digital library. Increasing user satisfaction with digital library may have implications including recommending the digital library to others, the digital library reusing as well as the digital library engaging and integrating with them. It should be noted that system quality, service quality, and information quality are important factors in the formation of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and digital libraries' affinity.Originality/valueThis study is the first attempt to empirically evaluate the antecedents and consequences of the user satisfaction with digital library presenting a new model. The model presented in this study can be used in future research as well. Also, this study has eloquently expanded the theories of user satisfaction with digital libraries.

Understanding cloud computing success and its impact on firm performance: an integrated approach

PurposeThis study aims to investigate the determinants of successful implementation of cloud computing and, further, examines how cloud computing success influences firm performance.Design/methodology/approachThe authors developed a conceptual framework based on the integration of several strands of literature in business studies and information systems. To test the proposed model, data were collected from 300 Chinese firms which have adopted cloud computing. To analyze the data, partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used. An importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) was also conducted to identify the critical factors that exhibit high importance but low performance.FindingsThe results of the study revealed that end-user satisfaction, information quality, system quality, managerial information technology (IT) capability and technical IT capability significantly affect cloud computing success. Additionally, cloud computing success has a strong and positive impact on firm performance. IPMA further confirms that managers need to concentrate more on system quality, information quality, user satisfaction and technical IT capability.Originality/valueThis paper is one of the few attempts to integrate several theoretical frameworks (i.e. IT capabilities and resource-based view, expectation-confirmation theory, and information system success theory) to develop a comprehensive model for understanding the key determinants of cloud computing success and its impact on firm performance. This study makes a useful contribution to the conventional information systems (IS) literature and IT management practice.

On change management for enterprise accounting system: iterative content analysis for success factors

The benefits, challenges, and factors that influence the success and failure in implementing ERP have been extensively studied by the previous researchers. In general, the existing literature focuses on general perspectives in organizational contexts. Not many studies have identified the success factors of change management within ERP implementation. Furthermore, few studies attempted to empirically verify these factors. In addition to information system success theory and change management, this study also employed content analysis on SAP Financial and Controlling module. This study attempted to understand the success factors through data reduction mapping, data display, and verification by employing Miles and Huberman data analysis model. Through three iterations based on 26 selected literatures, the top ten initial indicators and three axially coded indicators were derived to be verified as key success factors for change management in implementing Financial and Controlling SAP. The results of this study are to provide an important input for ERP change management initiatives.

Factors influencing users’ satisfaction and loyalty to digital libraries in Chinese universities

Users' loyalty to digital libraries is declining. There are quite a few studies on user satisfaction in digital libraries. However, the affinity theory and the loyalty theory are rarely applied to study digital library use. The purpose of this study is to integrate the information system success theory, Technology Acceptance Model, and affinity theory to identify the factors that may affect user satisfaction and user loyalty to digital libraries. A total of 426 valid survey questionnaires were collected. The structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed research model and hypotheses. The results indicated that, instead of information quality, system and service quality significantly affected perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and digital libraries (DLs)’ affinity. Both perceived ease of use and DLs' affinity impacted on perceived usefulness. Moreover, perceived usefulness and DLs' affinity had significant effects on user satisfaction, thereby affecting user loyalty. We also found that user differences, including age, gender, and educational level, significantly affected DLs’ affinity, which further influenced user satisfaction and loyalty. Implications for librarians and service providers to improve the quality of digital libraries are provided.

Reverse logistics information system success and the effect of motivation

Purpose– Information systems (IS) play a substantial role in managing reverse logistics (RL) processes. However, the RL literature rarely takes a holistic approach to examining the “success” of IS employment. Drawing on the rich literature base from the IS field, the authors explore IS Success theory in the context of RL. Considering Diffusion of Innovation theory, the authors also examine the effect of motivation on IS utilization. In doing so, the authors provide scholars and practitioners with insight into the factors affecting the success of a RL IS. The paper aims to discuss these issues.Design/methodology/approach– Based upon DeLone and McLean's IS Success theory, the authors develop the model to consider information quality, IS utilization, and RL cost effectiveness (as a proxy for net benefits). The authors disaggregate RL into two processes and thus consider the model from two perspectives: the process of receiving returns from customers (inbound) and the process of returning products to suppliers (outbound). The authors survey 136 RL professionals and employ partial least squares modeling for data analysis.Findings– For both inbound and outbound path models, information quality is significantly and positively related to IS utilization; in turn, IS utilization is a significant predictor of net benefits. For inbound, RL goals provide significant motivation to drive IS utilization. For outbound, RL challenges provide significant motivation for IS utilization.Originality/value– The authors bring IS Success theory into the context of RL. Additionally, by investigating the topic from both inbound and outbound perspectives, the findings suggest differences between inbound and outbound RL processes.

Examining the critical success factors of mobile website adoption

PurposeThe purpose of this research is to examine the critical success factors of mobile web site adoption.Design/methodology/approachBased on the valid responses collected from a questionnaire survey, the structural equation modelling technique was employed to examine the research model.FindingsThe results indicate that system quality is the main factor affecting perceived ease of use, whereas information quality is the main factor affecting perceived usefulness. Service quality has significant effects on trust and perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and trust determine user satisfaction.Practical implicationsMobile service providers need to improve the system quality, information quality and service quality of mobile web sites to enhance user satisfaction.Originality/valuePrevious research has mainly focused on e‐commerce web site success and seldom examined the factors affecting mobile web site success. This research fills the gap. The research draws on information systems success theory, the technology acceptance model and trust theory as the theoretical bases.

An empirical investigation of the impacts of internal/external facilitators on the project success of ERP: A structural equation model

In recent years many companies have improved their business performance and competitive position by implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This study goes beyond the boundaries of an individual organization to develop an integrated framework for successful implementation of ERP systems. We also discuss the internal/external facilitators which make this possible. Meanwhile, the authors utilize the SERVQUAL instrument, project management and information systems success theory in our empirically investigation of the roles and interdependent relationships of system vendors, consultants, project management and system performance, based on existing measures suitable for this study. The results reveal a significant causal relationship between system providers, implementation consultants and project management, and project to system performance, except directly from SERVQUAL to system performance. It is believed that an understanding of the relationships between the relevant factors for ERP success is necessary to satisfy the adopter's requirement, both practically and theoretically.
