Investigates scientific research on Data Management in journals integrated in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI). The investigation has a theoretical-descriptive character and used the bibliometric method, a quantitative technique that aims to verify the indicators of scientific production. Among the main results are: a) Progressive increase in articles on data management, peaking in 2020 and 2021; b) Research Data Management as an emerging theme in Information Science - CI and c) Intensive production in co-authorship, enhancing one of the characteristics of e-Science. It is concluded that research in Data Management is intensely linked to e-Science practices, of frequent collaborative writing, but its sharing depends on the management of repositories and/or data management platforms, and that this administration is part of a universe larger technical/technological complex, which may interfere with its sharing and circulation.
