Automatic identification of role-specific information in product development: a critical review on large language models

AbstractIn the era of digitization and the growing flood of information, the automatic, role-specific identification of information is crucial. This research paper aims to investigate whether the adaptation of LLM is suitable for classifying information obtained from standards for corresponding role profiles. This research reveals that with systematic fine-tuning, prediction accuracy can be increased by almost 100%. The validation was carried out using a two-digit number of standards for three predefined roles and demonstrates the significant potential of LM for labelling content with regard to roles.

Roles of Natural Language Processing in New Product Development Process: Literature Review

Customer satisfaction is a key success factor for a business. To provide products that meet customer satisfaction, companies must be able to understand the customers’ needs and desires. Technological developments nowadays have helped companies to understand customer desires more easily so that companies can provide products that satisfy their customer. Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a technology that allows computers to process human language. NLP is also commonly referred as text-mining. NLP has been utilized in the New Product Development (NPD) process. We compiled studies related to NLP and NPD and conducted a literature review to map out how far NLP has been utilized in NPD processes. We found that in this era of Big Data, current NLP studies most often have the goal to process text data from online reviews on e-commerce and from social media. By using NLP, large amounts of data can produce valuable Voice of Customer (VOC) information for product development. We also found that NLP technology also has been utilized in other NPD processes that do not involve VOC, such as the design stage, document processing, and extraction of requirements in the NPD process.

JALBTCX rapid-response aerial survey reconnaissance missions

Airborne Lidar and imagery is the technology of choice for mapping and quantifying impacts and conducting storm damage assessments in the aftermath of extreme storm events. Following land-falling hurricanes, for example, this technology provides data at high spatial resolution over hundreds of kilometers of hurricane-impacted shorelines in rapid fashion. To support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and others in their emergency response mission areas, the Joint Airborne Lidar Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise (JALBTCX) has performed rapid-response mapping for 10 hurricane and nor’easter events since Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Rapid-response data production workflows developed during the Superstorm Sandy mission have matured every year through the development and implementation of the JALBTCX Toolbox in response to requirements from engineers and scientists responsible for assessing storm impacts and making decisions related to recovery and restoration efforts. Today, the JALBTCX Toolbox is comprised of a series of modules that provide standard, streamlined, and repeatable workflows that guide users through the development of accurate datadriven information products on local, regional, and national scales. Rapid-response data products include shoreline and beach volume change in industry-standard, interoperable data formats and web services for consumption in GIS and web-based maps, dashboards, and applications. Post-response, the JALBTCX Toolbox includes modules for multi-dataset change detection analysis, the extraction of geomorphology features (e.g. dune crests and toes and sandbars), and the calculation of a Coastal Engineering Resilience Index (CERI). Future efforts will focus on further development of rapid response products in addition to the national coastal engineering resilience index that is routinely updated as new data becomes available.

The development of rubi web (rumah biologi web) in biodiversity concept

This study aims to develop a web-based learning media, namely RUBI WEB (Rumah Biologi Web) in the concept of biodiversity. The research method used in this research is a modified development research method from Borg & Gall (2003) whose stages consist of information gathering, planning, product development, and initial field trials. Aspects of the assessment of the material assessed include aspects of material and aspects of language, then aspects of media assessment that are assessed include aspects of software engineering, aspects of instructional design, and aspects of visual communication. The results of the material feasibility test by material experts obtained a percentage value of 80% and media feasibility tests by media experts obtained a percentage value of 83.4%. The results of the user response test by students obtained a percentage value of 86. Therefore, it can be interpreted that the RUBI WEB website learning media in the concept of biodiversity is included in the grade A+ category with a range of percentile ratings between 96-100%, best imaginable adjectives category, acceptable level of acceptance, and NPS (Net Promotore Score) in class promoter, i.e. users are satisfied and loyal to RUBI WEB media, so that they can make users want to recommend this media to others

Leveraging the Career Cards as Career Guidance Media Through Group Guidance Services for Islamic Junior High School’s Student

<p class="06IsiAbstrak"><strong><span lang="EN-GB">Leveraging the Career Cards as Career Guidance Media Through Group Guidance Services for Islamic Junior High School’s Student.</span></strong><span lang="EN-GB"> The purpose of this research is to to get the product result for helping the student through</span><span lang="EN-GB">the career card development process; determine the feasibility of career cards and determine the effectiveness of career cards as a medium of career guidance through group guidance services. The method used in this research is Research and Development which was developed by Borg and Gall. The development phase involved research and information gathering, planning, product development, material and media expert validation tests, revisions and trials. Product eligibility criteria include aspects of feasibility, accuracy, attractiveness and usability carried out by the material expert validator and media expert validator. Validation by material experts obtained a score of 90.06% in the very feasible category and validation by media experts obtained a value of 89.47% in the very feasible category. Based on these results, the career card as a medium for career guidance through group guidance services is appropriate to use. The results of the analysis of the paired sample T test showed that the career card had a significant effect on student career maturity with a t value of 10.48 and a significant value of 0.00. So it can be concluded that the career card as a medium of career guidance through group guidance services has an effect on the career maturity of class VII students.</span></p><strong><span>Keywords:</span></strong><span> Career Guidance; Group conseling; Career Card.</span>

PEMANFAATAN UMBI-UMBIAN SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKU UNTUK PEMBUATAN PRODUK SISTIK UBI UNGU DI PASIR KIDUL PURWOKERTO BARAT

One of the villages in Banyumas District, Central Java Province, Indonesia, which utilizes part of its land for yards, dryland and wetland agriculture, plantations and tropical forests is Pasir Kidul Village. There are various tubers in Pasir Kidul including purple sweet potatoes. Some of the purple sweet potatoes in Pasir Kidul Village are only sold at a very cheap price of Rp. 2500,-/kg. So far, the people of Pasir Kidul Village have used purple sweet potatoes in their raw form (unprocessed), even during the main harvest some unsold purple sweet potatoes are distributed to the surrounding community free of charge. This happens because of limited information and knowledge in product development that can be produced from purple sweet potato raw materials, the community also does not understand the simple technology that can be applied to the purple sweet potato they have. The solution offered in this PKM is processing purple sweet potatoes into purple sweet potato cysts with the aim of increasing income, business independence, and reducing unemployment for the people of Pasir Kidul Village. The purple sweet potato cystic product is used as a solution to overcome partner problems for several reasons, namely: 1) both products have wider market potential, 2) higher selling prices, 3) consumers are not limited by age (from children to the elderly ), 4) has a very high nutritional value, 5) good for health. The proposed activity plan for PKM this is market research on the selling price of purple sweet potato cysts, making production designs, training on making purple sweet potato product processing into purple sweet potato cysts, program evaluation, and mentoring. The results of the PKM went smoothly, the openness of the management of the Subsidiaries of the Fatayat NU Purwokerto Barat Branch in conveying problems and discussions related to solutions to problems was obtained well. Currently, the management of the Sub-Branch Office of Fatayat NU, Purwokerto Barat, know how to collaborate with other parties to market and improve online marketing so that the purple sweet potato cysts are better known and there are many buyers.

Online Information-Based Product Evolution Course Mining and Prediction

In today’s fiercely competitive business environment, product design and development play critical roles in an enterprise’s success; therefore, consumer demand must be understood. Enterprises used to understand their consumers’ demands through time-consuming questionnaire surveys and statistical analyses. As the Internet and the popularity of virtual communities have grown, more consumers are leaving comments about their perceptions of the appeal of products on online social media platforms, thus enabling enterprises to more objectively understand consumers’ product preferences and demands. Therefore, determining how to effectively assist enterprises in analyzing valuable information beneficial to product design and development that can be gleaned from the large amount of social media data available is critical to promoting an enterprise’s competitive advantage in the product market. However, previous studies have primarily focused on understanding consumer viewpoints of products through review articles or electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM; it is a common channel for spreading product appraisals) from online social media. For these review articles and eWOM that can imply consumer demand for product features, there were no relevant studies focused on analyzing consumer demand by using both online review articles and eWOM for product feature evolution. Therefore, for new product features, this study developed a mechanism for product evolution course mining from product-related review articles (such as product functions or specifications) and eWOM on online social media to realize the prediction of future product features or specifications, and then assist enterprises in rapidly and accurately grasping product development trends to effectively discern key reference information for product design and development. The study was achieved by (1) designing a process for online information-based product evolution course mining and prediction, (ii) developing techniques related to online information-based product evolution course mining and prediction, and (iii) implementing and evaluating an online information-based product evolution course mining and prediction mechanism. The experimental results indicated that approximately 81% of developers were satisfied with the proposed system for predicting smartphone features. The results of the study can facilitate the mining and prediction of online information-based product evolution course to assist enterprises in rapidly and accurately grasping product development trends and effectively provides important reference information for product design and development; therefore, it can enhance competitive advantages and customer satisfaction of enterprise products in the marketplace.

Determination of native lactoferrin and other whey proteins at different pH conditions after UHT using reverse phase HPLC

Whey proteins such as lactoferrin are high value components in milk; however, under UHT conditions they can denature and lose their functionality and bioactivity. The heat stability of these proteins in water suspensions was investigated at different pH conditions using a pilot scale UHT plant. An RP-HPLC method was used to quantify β-lactoglobulin, α-lactalbumin and lactoferrin simultaneously. In a pH 3.0–5.0 lactoferrin-in-water suspension, at least 48% of undenatured lactoferrin remained after UHT. The highest level of undenatured lactoferrin was 81%, observed at pH 4.0; the iron binding capacity for this sample was 78%. In addition, mixtures of whey protein concentrate and lactoferrin in a lactose solution were investigated, which showed 84% and 70% nativity for whey at pH 3.0 and pH 3.5, respectively, and 78% nativity for lactoferrin at pH 3.5. These results provide useful information in product research and development to maintain bioactive protein nativity through UHT processing.

HPLC-based metabolomics of Dendrobium officinale revealing its antioxidant ability.

Dendrobium officinale is an orchid with medicinal and nutritional properties that has received increasing attention because of its health benefits; however, there is limited information about the metabolic basis of these properties. In this report, secondary metabolites and the antioxidant activity of D. officinale stem samples from three provenances were analyzed, using a UHPLC-QqQ-MS/MS-based metabolomics approach. In total, 411 metabolites were identified including 8 categories such as flavonoids and phenolic acids, 136 of which were differential metabolites. These differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) were mainly enriched in secondary metabolic pathways such as flavone, flavonol, tropane, piperidine, pyridine, isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis and tyrosine metabolism. The metabolomic profiling suggested that the quantity and content of flavonoid compounds accounted for the highest proportion of total metabolites. Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) showed that the marker metabolites of D. officinale from the three provenances were mainly flavonoids, alkaloids and phenolic acids. Correlation analysis identified that 48 differential metabolites showed a significant positive correlation with antioxidant capacity (r ³ 0.8 and p< 0.0092), and flavonoids were the main factors affecting the different antioxidant activities. It is worth noting that quercetin-3-O-sophoroside-7-O-rhamnoside and dihydropinosylvin methyl ether might be the main compounds causing the differences in antioxidant capacity of Yunnan provenance (YN), Zhejiang provenance (ZJ), and Guizhou provenance (GZ). These finding provides valuable information for screening varieties, quality control and product development of D. officinale.

Industrial Design Structure: a straightforward organizational integration of DFSS and QFD in a new industry and market reality

PurposeThe aim of this research is to enlighten the methodology model of Industrial Design Structure (IDeS) that integrates the internal and external customer feedback embodied both in methods of quality function deployment (QFD) and as basis of design for six sigma (DFSS) steps to systematically bring the information across the entire organization, saving overall product development time and resources.Design/methodology/approachThe paper describes the state of the art enlightened to establish the disadvantages and challenges of other methods taken into consideration in the study like QFD and DFSS that, together with the need of companies to react fast to changes they need to straightforwardly implement product development information across all departments, leading to a mass customization infrastructure. Several application trials of this methodology have been cited.FindingsThe IDeS method has established to been able to integrate other well-known methodologies to gather technical specifications starting from voice of customers (VOCs) like QFD that served to canalize the generalist approach of define, measure, analyze, design and verify (DMADV) of DFSS in order to reach into a larger share of the organization and englobe by following the overall product design steps of an industrial project.Research limitations/implicationsThe research approach chosen for this document presents the concept of a methodology ought to operate most internal branches in a company driven by product design requirements and guidelines. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to develop further studies on the IDeS method are required in order to adapt this methodology to specific management tools that would help to ease information gathering for immediate analysis and modification.Practical implicationsThe paper implicates that a need to interchange information systematically across all subdivisions in the organization, as brisk response to VOC reactions is needed to thrive in the market nowadays, leading to a fast product customization scene. However, the industry is heading into adopting an individual customer-centered product conceptualization ought to be driven by design as a key for individualizing an object. Afterward by taking this concept broadly and adopting it would lead to implement a company organization that would be directly affected by the customer's input.Social implicationsThe methodology described aims to enable organizations to portray fast and accurate product prototyping, by exploiting technologies from Industry 4.0.Originality/valueThis concept proposes a method to canalize the implementation of DFSS by using the DMADV approach, whilst assessing the challenges of adaptation and keeping up with cultural pace that impacts the behavior of buying and consumption and moreover implementing a seamless communication within all departments in the organization to share the development progress and change requests by using similar information technology tools. This would imply important savings in resources, whilst delivering quality products to the society.

Awareness and Attitude towards Use of Institutional Repositories by Academic Staff of Eastern University, Sri Lanka: A Method based on the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) and the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA)

Institutional repositories have risen to prominence in the worldwide push towards a knowledge community, serving as a key medium for education, research, and training. In the Sri Lankan environment, institutional repositories are becoming increasingly popular in the digital age. Despite the fact that the country has made significant investments in the development of innovative information and communication technology (ICT) products for education, in particular, the adoption and use of institutional repositories provide a number of obstacles, including issues of accessibility, dependability, copy rights, and so on. The purpose of this research is to examine academic staff awareness and attitudes regarding the usage of institutional repository at the Eastern University in Sri Lanka (EUSL). The survey approach was used; data was obtained by an online questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS statistical software package. It was determined whether academic personnel were aware or had negative attitudes towards using institutional repository through the use of the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) and the theory of reasoned action (TRA) theoretical models. According to the data, academic staff members have a high level of understanding concerning institutional repository. The findings suggested that academic staff did not deposit their research work into institutional repository on a regular basis since the vast majority of them were not aware of how to deposit their work into the repository. A recommendation from the study’s conclusion is that libraries should provide appropriate awareness programs and training to researchers about the benefits of using institutional repositories, self-archive publishing, as well as encourage them to deposit their research work in these venues. Finally, it was discovered that the level of awareness and attitude toward institutional repository are both important factors in determining its use.

The information and communication technologies used in the educational process of Baranovichy State University and Derzhavin Tambov State University are described. Wide methodological toolkit was used: general logical methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, deduction, induction, analogy, modeling); empirical methods (description, comparison, own observation of information and educational technologies of Baranovichy State University and Derzhavin Tambov State University); private scientific methods (cybernetic, axiological, synergetic, in particular, the method of content analysis of the content of the information and educational environment of the two universities); special methods (the method of comparative analysis, formal legal method, method of legal hermeneutics). It was established that the development of information and communication technologies is directly influenced by a complex of modern challenges and threats. The conclusion is made about the positive effect of the participation of universities in specialized support programs, the participation of Derzhavin Tambov State University in the Priority 2030 program is given as an example. Attention is focused on the development of information and communication technologies products in the context of expanding the conditions for the education of persons with disabilities. The application of the obtained results is assumed in three directions: theoretical (continuation of research), normative (development of proposals aimed at improving legislation) and utilitarian (application in the educational process). The originality and scientific novelty of the work are revealed in the results of the analysis and comparison of the content of information and educational technologies of two partner universities – Baranovichy State University and Derzhavin Tambov State University. Research data and its results can form the basis of individual transformations accompanying educational activities, as well as serve as a theoretical basis for further research in the field of information technology in the research and educational space.

Development of Learning Media "Dice" And "Poetry Box" on Poetry Writing Materials for Tenth Grade Students of Senior High School

This study aims to develop a dice and box-based learning media with an internet-based learning model that uses various web pages on the internet, the web pages used include canva, google form and id.pillapp.com. This media is used as Indonesian language learning in the basic competence of poetry text at the high school level. The development of this learning media uses the Research and Development (RD) method. in the Research and Development (RD) method there are three main stages that must be carried out. The three main stages are initial information data collection, product development, and product validation trials. This research was conducted by conducting interviews with Indonesian language teachers at MAN 2 Madiun through the media zoom meeting to find out what media was used before and what obstacles were faced by educators at the school. Students are faced with difficulties in being able to determine the theme and choose the right diction so that the poetry has a beautiful rhythm, so learning dice and poetry boxes can be used as a solution for teachers to be able to motivate students to explore ideas and maximum poetry results. Learning poetry dice and boxes can also improve the means used by teachers in conveying poetry text learning material effectively, efficiently, and interestingly.

Study on Clear Optic Evaluation Method of Intraocular Lenses

The study explored the methods of determining the diameter of clear optic of intraocular lenses by analyzing the design principles and influencing factors of clear optic. Measure and compare the clear optic diameters of intraocular lenses from -10.0 D to 36.0 D respectively. The measurement results of the two methods have good consistency and can be used in the measurement of clear optic. But considering the accuracy and convenience of actual measurement, profile projector measurement principle is more suitable for conventional mass production testing. The Schlieren technique method can provide more useful information in product development and feature description stage, and can be used as an auxiliary verification method for clear optic diameter measurement.

The relationship between imperfect information and performance speed: The mediation of improvisation in new product development teams

The current research examines the relationship between imperfect information and performance speed in new product development (NPD) settings. We questioned the role of NPD teams' improvisation, possibly emanating from informational imperfections, on performance speed. Diverging from previous research, we treated improvisation as a dynamic team process, consisting of extemporaneous behavioral responses and adaptive operational productions. Among numerous possibilities, NPD teams might ignore the opportunistic potential of improvisation due to informational imperfections, thereby adhering to predetermined plans and/or available routines. Doing so might paralyze team members' understanding of complex task requirements. By contrast, NPD teams might exploit imperfect information by improvising ways to excel at performing, thereby speeding up NPD phases. To test these arguments, we collected data from 194 NPD teams. Ordinary least squares regression-based path analyses revealed support for our hypothesis that improvisation mediates the relationship between imperfect information and performance speed.

Application Software Package as a Means of Professional Training of Sewing Industry Specialists in the Conditions of the University

The article is devoted to the application software package usage as a means of professional training of sewing industry specialists in the conditions of the university. It is established that the information competence formation of future sewing industry engineers should be carried out taking into account the peculiarities of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) usage at modern enterprises. The content peculiar features of information training of future sewing industry specialists have been studied based on of the analysis of educational curricula developed at Mukachevo State University. Foreign experience in the ICT usage in higher education has also been considered on the example of the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic. The following scientific methods as systematization, analysis, generalization of theoretical sources and statistical data, structuring of pedagogical information on designing the content of educational curricula as well as the comparative analysis of foreign experience in the ICT usage in higher education have been applied to conduct the research. The authors suggest that the development of own information products by the higher educational establishment, which are used within professionally-oriented disciplines are among the ways to increase the ICT competencies of future specialists in the garment industry. Thorough study of the peculiarities of the application software packages usage during the training and production and engineering practices in the conditions of garment production also improve the level of information competence of students.

Development of Green Chemistry-Based Practicum Module for Senior High School to Promote Students’ Environmental Literacy

Chemistry learning ideally should invite students to interact directly with the object being studied. This can be realized through a practicum in the laboratory. However, chemistry practicum still generates significant waste in the environment. There is also a need for character education to promote environmental literacy. Therefore, there is a need for a green chemistry-based practicum module for class X senior high school. This research aims to develop a green chemistry-based practicum module, to know the quality of a green chemistry-based practicum module, and to know the students' responses to environmental literacy. This a research and development using a modified Borg and Gall development model that includes information gathering, planning, product development, limited trial, and product revisions. The results of the validity of the green chemistry-based practicum module in terms of material had a percentage of 93.45% and in terms of media had a percentage of 90.00% with a very valid criterion. The use of the green chemistry-based practicum module gets a very practical criterion with a score of 86.67% based on students’ responses. The green chemistry-based practicum module effectively increases students’ learning outcomes which are marked by the n-gain value of 0.3 - 0.78 in the medium to high criteria. The value of tcount ttable and sig.(2-tailed) in three practicums 0.05 indicates that the green chemistry-based practicum module can support students' environmental literacy

DEVELOPMENT OF AN INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR INTELLECTUAL ANALYSIS OF INDICATORS OF THE SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES

This article discusses the design of the spread of infectious diseases. According to the latest data, the accuracy of the design of the spread of the coronavirus, the most common epidemic in the world, and the share of information products that play a key role in it have been studied. Based on official data, a project analysis was conducted. As a result, the importance of information technology in the design of thousands of types of infectious diseases was noted. Methods that can be used to accurately and accurately maintain the design system of information technology are considered. The study process was studied based on the formulas for calculating the predictions. In this regard, it should be noted that COVID-19 has provided rapid development of information products. As a result of this work, almost all widely used methods were studied.

Problems and prospects of the development of Ukraine’s ICT market in the conditions of war

Methods. The scientific results presented in this article were obtained through the use of such research methods as the method of analysis when identifying factors restraining the development of the Ukrainian market of information and communication technologies, the method of comparisons – when clarifying the differences in the influence of the IT sector on the pre-war the economy of Ukraine and its functioning in a state of war; general and specific – when establishing the specifics of the development of the market of information and communication technologies in wartime conditions. Results. The state of the market of information and communication technologies during the war period was studied within the framework of macroeconomic indicators from the point of view of meaningful content and market interaction. The dynamics of the domestic market of information technologies before the war were analyzed and the impact of the IT sector on the economy of Ukraine during the war was considered. It was found that the level of technological development determines not only the economic potential of the country, but also the role and place of this country in the global society, the scope and prospects of its economic and political integration with the whole world. Based on the results of the study, the internal obstacles faced by the Ukrainian information technology sector during the war period were assessed. The implementation of best practices, in particular in the areas of development, implementation and use of information technologies, products and services, is proposed, subject to proper scientific, technical and legal support for the reform of the information technology sector. It was established that the Ukrainian market of information and communication technologies is in a phase of slow development in the conditions of war. The problems of today, which restrain the development of the market of information and communication technologies, are given. Recommendations are provided for further activation of the market of information and communication technologies, taking into account the fact that the activity is conducted in conditions of war. Novelty. The article identifies the specifics of the impact of the information and communication technology sector on the national economy in the pre-war period and during the war. The main trends in the development of information and communication technologies in Ukraine and investment opportunities in this sector are analyzed. The importance of the sector of information and communication technologies for achieving progressive changes in the national economy in the post-war period is determined. Practical value. The practical role of information and communication technologies as a factor in GDP growth is substantiated. The dynamics of the development of the ICT market of Ukraine were analyzed, there was made a comparison of the development in the pre-war period and during the war. The main trends in the development of the country's IT sphere during the war period have been identified. Prospective directions for further implementation at the national level in the post-war period are presented.
