Desain Layout Ruang Kelas dengan Pendekatan Ergonomis Human-Centered Approach

The classroom is a room that functions as a place for theoretical, practical learning activities that do not require special equipment and practice with special tools that are easy to provide. One practice with special tools that is easy to provide is learning Information and Computer Technology (ICT) using a laptop. Not all schools have an ICT practice room. ICT practical activities are carried out in the classroom. Therefore, it is necessary to create guidelines for designing classroom layouts as modifications to classrooms that will be used as ICT practical learning spaces. The method used in designing classroom layouts is an ergonomics approach, namely the Human-Centered Approach. Classroom design using an ergonomics approach is carried out by placing humans at the center of the design or the Human Centered Approach. The design of the classroom layout as an ICT learning space is carried out by adapting to the requirements set out in the Regulations of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which contain classroom requirements and are combined with ergonomic principles. Class layout design begins with creating an initial layout, then a configuration layout and simulating teacher mobility in the configured class layout. The class layout design was made using Microsoft Visio software and the teacher mobility simulation was carried out using Promodel software. From this research, results were obtained in the form of 2 (two) alternative classroom layout designs as ICT learning spaces.

Sustainability of learning at work: experiences of police, hospital, and ICT personnel

ABSTRACT Global megatrends, such as digitalisation, and contemporary crises have highlighted the importance of continuous development and learning in the work context. Learning can be inspiring and motivating but also stressful when generating competence that is not applicable or has poor utilisability. In this study, we approached the ambivalent nature of learning at work from the sustainability perspective. According to the literature, sustainability of learning can consist of four broad aspects: transferability and continuity of learning, well-being, and temporality. We aimed to examine experiences of learning among personnel in three work-life contexts: preventive police work, hospitals, and information and computer technology (ICT). Using theory-driven thematic analysis, we revealed a variety of aspects of sustainability of learning and their different emphases in the three studied contexts. The main finding is that learning and well-being are closely intertwined and temporally framed in sustainability of learning. Based on this finding, we discuss practical implications and future research directions.

Chi-Square Analysis of the Survey of ICT Availability and Competency of Secondary Schools' Guidance and Counseling Officers in Bwari Area Council FCT Abuja, Nigeria

The quest for the use of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) by Guidance and Counseling Officers to discharge their duties in Bwari Area Council FCT Abuja, Nigeria, is of importance and has been emphasized. This study investigates the availability and competency of Guidance and Counseling Officers on the use of ICT. It also examines the influence of gender on Guidance and Counseling Officers’ perceived self efficacy. A total of One hundred and fifty (150) questionnaires were distributed out of which to a total of one hundred (100) were retrieved from Guidance and Counseling Officers (50 male and 50 females) in Bwari Area Council of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria, who were asked to indicate the availability and their level of competence in the use of ICT. The validity of the questionnaire was approved by three experts in the field. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients were 0.91, 0.83, 0.79 and 0.88 for experience of using computers, level of competency in basic computer operations, competency in using computer software and total score respectively. Percentage analysis showed that 72% of the Officers do not have the required experience in the use of computers, computer basic operations and the use of application software. The chi-square analysis indicated no significant difference between male and female Guidance and Counseling Officers’ competence in the use of computers, computer basic operations and the use of application software. It is recommended that the Officers should go extra mile in improving themselves as the professional development training provided by the government has proved inadequate. Guidance and Counseling Officers should be given adequate basic and advanced training on the use of ICT during their school training

The Implementation of Quizizz in Learning at SDN 08 Sui Ruk Bengkayang

The development of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) has had a broad impact on various sectors of life, including the education sector and ICT mastery. Through formal education, students are equipped with insight from an early age which becomes the basis for continuous learning and developing problem-solving skills. However, in Bengkayang District, West Kalimantan, the ICT education program has not yet reached students in several rural schools, including SDN 08 Sungai Ruk, where students are not familiar with computers both in terms of hardware and software. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on education. Since March 16 2020 in Indonesia, students have been studying from home through an online system to prevent the spread of the virus.
 Nonetheless, the government continues to encourage teaching and learning activities even though remotely. Based on these problems, Quizizz is implemented for students of SDN 08 Sungai Ruk so that elementary school students have knowledge and skills in operating computers both in terms of hardware and software, and increase learning motivation. This implementation provides an introduction to computer introduction material regarding computer basics such as computer components and their functions. Followed by a Fun Game that aims to break the ice. And finally an interactive quiz was held using the Quizizz platform which was based on the material previously presented.

Human-Computer Interaction: Lights, Shadows, and Spotlights

In the last decades, Information and Computer Technology (ICT) has become part and parcel of our lives, bringing undeniable advantages, especially in the workplace, both to individuals and organizations. Nonetheless, the increasingly massive use of ICT also contributed to a higher risk for maladaptive effects on quality of life, thus jeopardizing workers’ well-being. From the perspective of the organizational safety approach, the study of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is crucial. Despite this, so far, much attention has been paid to ergonomics and to technostress, but mostly from a sectorial perspective and disregarding several additional phenomena. In this conceptual paper, a multidimensional model able to go beyond the ergonomic features necessary to set a functional physical environment and facilitate the isomorphism mind-ICT is advocated. We point out a modern approach aimed at exploring additional dimensions underpinning HCI in the workplace, with a dual purpose: to highlight possible risk factors for maladjustment and to pave the way for intervention strategies to facilitate a healthy HCI.

Causes and Consequences of Truancy Among in School Adolescents in Oyo North Senatorial District Nigeria

Background: The need to increase the mastery of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning activities is essential and urgent, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PowerPoint application is a popular application for creating learning content, but most teachers are only at the level of "powerpointers". SMK Negeri Windusari, as a vocational high school, requires an increase in the level of its educators, namely those who can increase learning outcomes, one of which is by developing multimedia content based on PowerPoint. This training was in collaboration with UNIMMA Informatics Engineering. It was attended by twenty-four teachers starting with a pre-test and ending with a post-test to measure the level of success. Contribution: Improving the quality of content to support learning outcomes. Method: The training on the use of ICT for learning begins with observation through a pre-test and ends with a presentation of the training results, and then measures progress using a post-test. Results: The results of the training showed that most of the participants showed improvement. Conclusion: This training is expected to be sustainable as a form of support for improving the quality of learning content.

Impact of Information and Computer Technology on Students’ Reading Comprehension

T his paper examined the impact of information and computer technology on students reading comprehension in Ebonyi local government area of Ebonyi state in Nigeria. The concept of reading comprehension was examined. Kintsch’s construction and integration theory and the Schema theory were explored as it relates to reading comprehension. Also, the importance of information and communication technology tools in reading comprehension was examined. It was observed that it offers the learners the opportunity of controlling the learning process and creates room for collaborative learning. Problems of using ICT for reading comprehension were enumerated to include: lack of software and hardware, lack of knowledge of available information technology resources, unavailability of computer laboratories, epileptic electricity power supply and lack of internet services among others. Then, ICT tools useful for improving reading comprehension were explored to include internet reciprocal teaching, computer aided instruction, text-to-speech software, digital texts, visual learning software etc. Finally, related literature relevant to this study was also reviewed. Based on this, one of the recommendations was that the government should ensure adequate provision of various ICT tools and functional computer laboratories in all the schools in the federation. Modeling, accounting and control of formation and use of resources (on the example of the construction industry)

The aim of the article was to build analytical models in the construction industry based on the analysis of its economic indicators and the use of positive foreign experience, as well as by identifying opportunities to optimize resources using better accounting and control systems. The achievement of the goal was based on the results of canonical correlation analysis. Its application allowed us to conclude that there is a long time lag (5 years) of making strategic management decisions on the formation and use of resources in construction companies and their results. This is due to the significant duration of construction work and the frequent commissioning of residential premises with a delay of 1-2 years due to political, economic, financial and other problems. Based on the analysis of Ukrainian and international experience in accounting and control over the formation and use of resources, proposals have been developed for the use of flexible schedules for the supply of material and technical resources using the latest information and computer technology (ICT), work calendars (desktop, wall) and electronic devices with reminders of dates of payment of invoices of suppliers and contractors, dates and forms of financial and administrative reporting, etc. The object of research is the process of complex interaction of accounting, control, analysis and modeling to ensure effective management of material, technical and financial resources of construction companies in 24 regions of Ukraine, European and other countries. The subject of research is the theoretical and practical principles of application of modeling and analysis in accounting and control over the formation and use of material, technical and financial resources of construction companies. It is revealed that the enterprises of the construction industry of Ukraine, many European countries and countries of other continents do not fully use the existing potential of the latest information and computer technologies and modern modeling methods for the organization and optimization of business processes; establishing logistical links between business partners; systems for managing the processes of supply, warehousing, construction production, marketing; reducing costs at all stages of the life cycle of construction products. Based on this, two hypotheses are derived, the first of which indicates the potential of construction companies to effectively carry out financial and management accounting, internal control; to put construction objects into operation quickly, efficiently and in a timely manner. The second hypothesis points to the fact that construction companies for various reasons violate the procedure for accounting for resources, do not perform planned measures of internal control; allow disruptions of construction processes and terms of commissioning of construction objects; allow the lack and misuse of material and financial resources. The practical application of proposals to optimize the use of resources modeled in the research process and proposed ways to improve the efficiency of information and computer technology can be effectively implemented to ensure business processes in construction, in particular the implementation of logistics in the search and delivery of resources. construction projects and warehouses. This will significantly reduce the cost of accounting and control support of construction work, without reducing their quality and timeliness.

Attitudes and skills of Tamil language teachers towards the use of ICT in teaching and facilitation

This study was conducted to find out the attitudes and skills of Tamil teachers towards the use of Information and Communication Technology in Teaching and Facilitation. To achieve the objectives of the study, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used. This study is a quantitative study involving a survey. The present modern world meets a lot of challenges in adopting technology in education. Teachers find the modernized use of information and computer technology (ICT), as a difficult task. Many works have been carried out in the field of ICT-related teaching and learning throughout the globe. These researches talk about the use of computer-based teaching aids, motivation to use technology among teachers, stages of using ICT, training for teachers, facilities available, and school infrastructure. When compared with other studies, this study deals with the attitudes and skills of Tamil language teachers in using ICT. The findings of the study also show that the cooperation of all parties is a factor behind the success of implementing ICT in Tamil teaching and facilitation. And also, the usability factor (PU) is also a motivator for teachers to show a positive attitude towards the use of ICT.

Behind Bars But Not Sentenced: The Role of Computerized Central Repository in Addressing Awaiting-Trial Problems in Ebonyi State, Nigeria

Quick dispensation of justice is necessary for every democratic society to succeed. It is encouraging to see studies, concerns and active agitations from people on the promotion of quick justice in Nigeria. Unfortunately, these studies and agitations have not yielded any concrete results. This article examines how a computerized central repository system can address awaiting-trial problems in Ebonyi State. Utilizing quantitative and qualitative approaches of research, a sample of 1,498 respondents were drawn from Ebonyi State. Purposive and multi-stage sampling techniques were used to reach the respondents. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews served as instruments for data collection. After the administration of instruments, data were sorted, coded, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, and multiple linear regressions. Findings confirmed that while there is an uptick of awaiting-trial problems in Nigeria, there are no meaningful provisions to address it despite the fact that provisions exist within the Nigerian legal framework. Regression analysis revealed the Information and Computer Technology (ICT) method facilitates pretrial detention and brings it to quick conclusion as against the manual method. Based on the findings, the study calls for the creation of a computerized platform to automate all the Criminal Justice bureaucratic processes and make them faster through a centrally based computerized centrally repository system that is accessible to all agencies involved in Criminal Justice administration.

User-Centered Development of a Web Platform Supporting Community-Based Health Care Organizations for Older Persons in Need of Support: Qualitative Focus Group Study.

BackgroundThe ongoing changes in population demographics increase the relevance of dignified aging across Europe. Community-based health care (CBHC) organizations are necessary to provide sustainable strategies for organizing care for older persons in need of support. To support the digitalization of these organizations, new business models and suitable web platforms are necessary.ObjectiveThis study, which is part of the European Active and Assisted Living (AAL) project called “ICareCoops”, aimed to explore concepts, approaches, and workflows of CBHC organizations to achieve a comprehensive understanding of extant services offered and relevant requirements to support these services with information and computer technology (ICT) solutions.MethodsA qualitative study with six focus groups (FGs) with 40 participants was conducted in Switzerland and Slovenia to identify potential stakeholders’ needs and requirements for the user-centered development of a web platform. Data were collected from three different stakeholder groups: (1) older persons in need of support as care receivers, (2) significant others of older persons in need of support, and (3) managers or care providers of CBHC organizations. A semistructured interview guide with open questions was used for data collection. FG sessions were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. Thematic content analysis was used to analyze the content of the FG sessions. To assist with further web platform development, the responses of the FG participants were translated into user stories to describe technical requirements.ResultsBy analyzing the transcripts, five main categories were identified: (1) ICT usage behavior of users, (2) challenges of web platform usage, (3) content and technical requirements for the web platform, (4) form and services of CBHC organizations, and (5) rationales of CBHC organizations. The main issues identified were the need for seniors to have individual contact with the CBHC organization and the possibility to coordinate routine services via the web platform, such as ordering meals-on-wheels or booking a caregiver to accompany an older person to the doctor.ConclusionsThe majority of participants showed a lack of familiarity with the usage of ICT. Nevertheless, they were open-minded regarding web platform usage to facilitate workflows and to benefit CBHC organizations. Cooperatives as an organizational model demonstrate a high potential to address users’ needs. Therefore, the web platform offers an essential tool for innovative health care models in the future. Searching for care services, contacting care providers, and communicating with care providers was preferred via personal contact and seemed to be the key element for user acceptance and for the successful implementation of a web platform like “ICareCoops” to support CBHC organizations.

3D reconstruction using Structure From Motion (SFM) algorithm and Multi View Stereo (MVS) based on computer vision

The development of the Information and Computer Technology (ICT) sector, three-dimensional (3D) technology is also growing rapidly. Currently, the need to visualize 3D objects is widely used in animation and graphic applications, architecture, education, cultural recognition and Virtual Reality. 3D modeling of historic buildings has become a concern in recent years. 3D reconstruction is an attempt to document reconstruction or restoration if the building is destroyed. By using the 3D model reconstruction using Structure from Motion (SFM) and Multi View Stereo (MVS) algorithm based on Computer Vision, it is hoped that the results of this 3D modeling can be utilized as an effort to preserve 3D objects in the Penataran Temple cultural heritage area. This research was conducted by taking as many as 61 images of objects in the Blitar Penataran Temple area. The photos obtained were reconstructed into a 3D model using the Structure From Motion algorithm in the meshroom. This research a trial of the original image with a compressed image for reconstruction is used to compare the 3D reconstruction process from the two input data. From 61 images processed using the Structure Form Motion algorithm, 33 poses of camera pose and 3D points were improved, both original and compressed images. The number of iterations compresses 1.4% less than the original image and takes 43.53% faster than the original image.

Pemanfaatan TIK Sebagai Media Pembelajaran dan Sumber Belajar oleh Guru TIK

Information and computer technology (ICT) is currently being used in all fields, including education. One of the uses of ICT in the field of education is for learning media and learning resources that can be used by teachers. This study aims to determine the extent to which the competence or ability of teachers, especially in ICT subjects, in utilizing ICT both as a medium of learning and a learning resource. The use of ICT is carried out to make it easier for teachers to implement the learning process. The research method used is descriptive with a survey form. The data collection tools used were questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used is quantitative-descriptive to process questionnaire data and qualitative-descriptive to process interview data. Based on the data obtained, the use of ICT as a Learning Media and Learning Resources by Equivalent High School teachers in East Bunguran District, Natuna Regency is at a percentage above 80% with a high category. This shows that the teacher's ability to use ICT is very good. The learning media is majority often used are presentation processing applications and projectors. Meanwhile, the most widely used learning resource is the Internet.

Information and Computer Technology (ICT) in Indian Banking System after Computerization

In Indian economy system, banking sector has an important role and after computerization, there is a great change came in it. In India, Now there are a lot of branches of banks. At present, banking sectors face a tough competition. Maximum growth rate are shown by those banks which have maximum profit. By the use of various technologies, banks cost may become minimum and profit may become maximum. In this manuscript, the effect has been studied on the banks after computerization. The effects are analyzed after use of information and computer technology in Indian banking systems after computerization. The selected banks for this study are SBI, PNB and UBI.

Exploring E-Capital as Social Power: A Neo-capital Theory Perspective

Digital capitalism differs from previous technological revolutions in at least one important respect: revolution is not about how effectively external objects can be manipulated, but more fundamentally about how reality reveals itself to us. The purpose of this article is to better understand the evolution of digital technology by outlining some of the dimensions of its social power through the concept of e-capital. A development that enables the rise of artificial intelligence and automatic decision making (ADM), digitization/ digitalization and its governance is seen as a special kind of social resource that redefines human activity. E-capital refers to the tangible and intangible, actual and potential collective and individual social resources related to ICT (information and computer technology) awareness, access, use and associated knowledge and know-how.

ВИКОРИСТАННЯ КОМУНІКАЦІЙ ТА DATA-МАЙНИНГУ ЯК КЛЮЧОВИХ СТРАТЕГІЧНИХ РЕСУРСІВ У ПУБЛІЧНОМУ УПРАВЛІННІ ТА АДМІНІСТРУВАННІ

The relevance of the study is that the use of communications and data mining as key strategic resources in public administration is of great practical importance, because information change transforms the culture of the organization and contributes to its change. The purpose of the article is the development of theoretical and practical principles of communication in public administration and administration, conceptualization of new knowledge as factors to increase the efficiency of public administration. Objectives of the study: 1) to reveal how the communication function of managers involves maintaining the development of the organization; 2) to find out the influence of the communication function on the development of public administration; 3) identify the essence of the use of principles and methods of data mining as a key strategic resource of public administration and administration; 4) to form the concept of data-mining in public administration and administration as a factor in improving the efficiency of public administration; 5) to substantiate the directions of optimization of the use of communications and data-mining as factors to increase the efficiency of public administration and administration. Research methodology. Synergetic methodology contributes to the development of self-organization of communication at all levels and the achievement of organizational sustainability. The result of the study. The concept of public administration and administration is based on the implementation of the theory of complexity and innovation, software (software) and information and computer technology (ICT), which contribute to the improvement of the system, which requires flexibility and adaptability to complex operating conditions. Thus, data mining in public administration and administration is the whole process of data mining, the specific application of modeling techniques to data in order to create a model or the application of other patterns and rules in public administration.

Who needs teachers? Factors associated with learning ICT skills from teachers in a multilevel analysis of the ICILS data

While great responsibility is placed upon schoolteachers for educating children and adolescents in media and technology, the increasing access to technology offers opportunities for youngsters to develop information and computer technology (ICT) skills informally. Thus, they do not depend solely on the school to develop computer and information literacy (CIL). Conversely, studies confirm that in some countries students report that they have learned specific ICT skills mainly from their teachers. However, little is known about the conditions under which students rely on teachers to develop CIL skills. This study explores the characteristics of students, schools, and countries that are associated with the incidence of learning CIL from teachers. Based on previous studies, a model was developed and tested employing a three-level analysis with data from 14 participant countries of the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS). The model reveals significant associations with students’ socioeconomic conditions, students’ self-efficacy in advanced ICT tasks, students’ gender and countries’ ICT Development Index score. The schools’ characteristics do not contribute significantly to the model. Furthermore, implications for the involvement of both students and teachers regarding media education in schools are discussed.

Off the Map

The New York City Subway is unusually fertile ground for transportation intelligence. It possesses a complex track network that allows trains to move along multiple overlapping routes, producing rare, and in some cases unique, qualities of rapid transit mobility. While its current information and computer technology (ICT) compromises the efficacy of those qualities, emerging smart systems promise not only to realize the full potential of what the Subway was built to do, but also to posit a new operational logic for it. The following is a provocation on urban mobility in the Information Age, a speculative reimagination of the Subway that considers a scenario in which, through the adoption of an advance mode of ICT, the Subway leverages the flexibility of its track network so as to forge a new logic of rapid transit. The provocation foregrounds the social implications of that logic, taking for granted the ability of technology to realize it. The objective is to catalyze critical thinking on transportation smartness at a time when technological hurdles are falling and social consequences are crystallizing. Its concerns include: how and why information is communicated to the public; how the public adapts to new modes of intelligence; how smarter environments both strengthen and weaken community; and, the collateral damage of optimization. Overall, it strives to illuminate a conundrum of smart transportation: optimization may both benefit the public and impair social vitality and environmental awareness.
