Socioeconomic Status, Parental Expectations, and Student Motivation as Predictors of Academic Performance of Grade 12 Senior High School Students

This study aims to explore the interplay of socioeconomic factors, parental expectations, and student motivation in predicting academic success. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study collected data from 99 senior high school students through structured questionnaires. The findings indicate that students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds generally have access to better educational resources, leading to higher academic performance. Parental expectations were found to significantly motivate students, fostering a supportive learning environment and encouraging academic excellence. High levels of student motivation were also identified as crucial for academic success, promoting effective study habits and resilience. The research underscores the importance of a holistic approach in educational policy, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. By understanding the influence of family environment on student motivation and performance, educators and policymakers can develop strategies to enhance educational outcomes. This study contributes to the broader discourse on educational equity, highlighting the role of socioeconomic status and parental involvement in shaping student achievements. It calls for collaborative efforts between schools and families to create conducive learning environments that support all students' academic endeavors.

Determinants Of Digital Entrepreneurship Intention

This research discusses how entrepreneurial knowledge, income expectations, self-efficacy, and family environment can play a role and influence students' interest in entrepreneurship in online- based businesses, especially high school/vocational school students in the Bogor area. The aim of this research is to analyze and test the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, income expectations, self-efficacy, and family environment in order to find out how big their influence is and how these three variables are able to influence the interest of high school/vocational school students in the Bogor area to become online entrepreneurs. In this study, 4 exogenous variables and 1 endogenous variable were used. The data collection method in this research used a questionnaire with a total of 1 7 9 respondents from SMA/SMK students in the Bogor area. For the data analysis method, use an analysis model with SEM-PLS or Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square. To process the data using an analysis test tool, namely SmartPLS v. 3.2.9. The results of this research show that partially income expectations have a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Partially, self-efficacy has a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. And the family environment partially has a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. However, partially entrepreneurial knowledge does not significantly influence interest in online entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.380 > 0.05. The Influence of Family Environmental and Entrepreneurship Education on Interest in Entrepreneurship with Self Efficacy as a Mediation Variable in Sharia Business Perspective (Study on Students of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business UIN Raden In

The research investigates the influence of family environment and entrepreneurship education on interest in entrepreneurship with self-efficacy as a mediating variable from a Sharia business perspective. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 129 respondents. The research results show that all independent variables have a significant effect on interest in entrepreneurship. The self-efficacy variable can mediate the influence of business capital on interest in entrepreneurship among FEBI UIN Raden Intan Lampung students and entrepreneurship education on interest in entrepreneurship among FEBI UIN Raden Intan Lampung students. It can be concluded that the application of business capital, entrepreneurship education, Self-efficacy, and interest in entrepreneurship from a Sharia business perspective is very good. This study aims to prove the allegations of the influence of family environment and social environment on student achievement on economic subjects, students of class XI IPS SMA N 3 Jambi City year 2012-2013. The results showed that the family environment and social environment jointly significant effect on their learning outcomes. Klinefelter Syndrome: A Genetic Disorder Leading to Neuroendocrine Modifications and Psychopathological Vulnerabilities in Children-A Literature Review and Case Report.

Klinefelter syndrome (KS), characterized by an additional X-chromosome in males, manifests in a wide range of neuroendocrine and psychiatric symptoms. Individuals with KS often face increased risks of hormonal dysfunction, leading to depression and anxiety, although extended research during pediatric and adolescent age is still limited. This critical phase, decisive for KS children, is influenced by a combination of genetic, environmental and familial factors, which impact brain plasticity. In this report, we reviewed, in a narrative form, the crucial KS psychopathological hallmarks in children. To better describe neuroendocrine and neuropsychiatric outcomes in children with KS, we presented the case of an 11-year-old prepubertal child with mosaic KS who was referred to our Center of Developmental Psychopathology due to a decline in his academic performance, excessive daytime fatigue and increased distractibility over the past few months. Family history revealed psychiatric conditions among first- and second-degree relatives, including recently divorced parents and a 15-year-old sister. Early-onset persistent depressive disorder and anxious traits were diagnosed. Timely identification of susceptible children, with thorough examination of familial psychiatric history, environmental influences and neurocognitive profile, alongside targeted interventions, could potentially mitigate lifelong psychopathology-related disabilities in pediatric and adolescent KS cases, including those with mosaic KS.

Familial genetic and environmental transmission of depression: A multi-informant twin family study.

The phenomenon of familial clustering in depression is well established, yet the mechanisms by which depression is transmitted within families remain poorly understood. In the current study, we investigate the familial genetic and environmental transmission of depression by incorporating data from both adolescent twins and their parents. A total of 987 twin families were recruited from the Beijing Twin Study. Depression assessments were conducted for both adolescents and their parents. Twins' depression was assessed through reports from both the twins themselves and their parents, while parental depression was assessed by parental self-report. We employed a nuclear twin family model to examine genetic and environmental influences on adolescent depression. Our results, based on both self- and parent-report, demonstrate significant additive and dominant genetic influences on depression. We also found mild yet significant sibling environmental influences, while familial environmental influences were absent. Notably, parent-reported depression showed higher heritability but lower unique environmental influences compared with self-reported depression. These results highlight the important role of genetic transmission and sibling environmental transmission in explaining depression. Our study delineates the underlying mechanism of familial transmission in depression and can inform early treatments to halt transmission during adolescence.

Family Environment Modulates Linkage of Transdiagnostic Psychiatric Phenotypes and Dissociable Brain Features in the Developing Brain

BackgroundFamily environment has long been known for shaping brain function and psychiatric phenotypes, especially during childhood and adolescence. Accumulating neuroimaging evidence suggests that across different psychiatric disorders, common phenotypes may share common neural bases, indicating latent brain-behavior relationships beyond diagnostic categories. However, the influence of family environment on the brain-behavior relationship from a transdiagnostic perspective remains unknown. MethodsWe included a community-based sample of 699 participants (ages 5–22 years) and applied partial least squares regression analysis to determine latent brain-behavior relationships from whole-brain functional connectivity and comprehensive phenotypic measures. Comparisons were made between diagnostic and nondiagnostic groups to help interpret the latent brain-behavior relationships. A moderation model was introduced to examine the potential moderating role of family factors in the estimated brain-behavior associations. ResultsFour significant latent brain-behavior pairs were identified that reflected the relationship of dissociable brain network and general behavioral problems, cognitive and language skills, externalizing problems, and social dysfunction, respectively. The group comparisons exhibited interpretable variations across different diagnostic groups. A warm family environment was found to moderate the brain-behavior relationship of core symptoms in internalizing disorders. However, in neurodevelopmental disorders, family factors were not found to moderate the brain-behavior relationship of core symptoms, but they were found to affect the brain-behavior relationship in other domains. ConclusionsOur findings leveraged a transdiagnostic analysis to investigate the moderating effects of family factors on brain-behavior associations, emphasizing the different roles that family factors play during this developmental period across distinct diagnostic groups.

The Influence of Self-Regulation, Resilience, and Family Environment on Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Junior High School Students in Serang City, Indonesia

This study aimed to identify and analyze self-regulation that mediates the influence of resilience and family environment on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This descriptive research uses the method of explanatory survey with a quantitative approach. The variables in this study were mathematics learning outcomes (Y), resilience (X1), family environment (X2), and self-regulation (Z). Learning outcomes are the dependent variable (endogenous variable). At the same time, resilience and family environment are independent variables (exogenous variable), and self-regulation is a mediating variable (intervening variable) with questionnaires and observations to collect data. This study's population was all class VII students at State Middle School in Serang City, while the sample was randomly selected from as many as 332 students. The collected data is then analyzed using a structural equation model. The results of this study indicate that (i) there is a significant effect of resilience on mathematics learning outcomes, (ii) there is a significant effect of the family environment on student learning outcomes, (iii) there is a significant effect of self-regulation ability on mathematics learning outcomes (iv) there is a significant effect of resilience on students' abilities self-regulation (v) there is a significant influence of the family environment on self-regulation abilities (vi) there is a significant effect of resilience on student learning outcomes through self-regulation abilities (vii) there is a significant influence of the family environment on student learning outcomes through self-regulation abilities (viii) there is a significant influence resilience, family environment, and ability to self-regulate on mathematics learning outcomes. The results of this study imply that the concepts of resilience, family environment, and self-regulation are relevant and can estimate student learning outcomes.

How Does Government Support, Finance, Family Environment and Information Technology Influence Sustainable Entrepreneurship?

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze in a comprehensive way the relationship between the business and the factors of government, money, business environment, and information technology. Theoretical framework: Sustainable entrepreneurship is crucial to achieving the SDGs, not just in terms of economic growth but also in terms of achieving social and environmental goals. Design/methodology/approach: This study employs a quantitative approach, with the population under investigation consisting of all micro and small businesses in Parepare, Indonesia, or 1000 units of businesses. and collect data by using the probability sample method with the basic random sampling technique on 286 business owners. The data collection technique employs a previously developed angket penelitian based on research variable indicators that have been validated and shown to be reliable. Method of data analysis using SEM Amos 21. Result and Conclusion: The study's findings indicate that: (1) Government support—including funding, infrastructure provision, partnerships, business information, and business licensing—greatly influences sustainable entrepreneurship; (2) Financial factors—particularly those derived from personal funds and bank credit—are more significant in determining sustainable entrepreneurship; (3) the business environment, which is influenced by raw material availability, labor availability, business competition, and transportation—greatly influences sustainable entrepreneurship; and (4) the use of information technology in business management—greatly influences sustainable entrepreneurship. Research implication: The findings of this study have the potential to increase understanding in the field of entrepreneurship, particularly in relation to the factors that contribute to small-scale and sustainable entrepreneurship. They can also serve as a resource for scholars who will be researching related issues and the government when formulating policies aimed at fostering the growth of SMEs. Originality/value: This analysis focuses on sustainable entrepreneurship, even though it has already been conducted in developing countries. However, there aren't many studies that analyze the complex relationship between sustainable entrepreneurship and the factors that influence it, such as the government, the economy, the business environment, and information technology.

Pengaruh Disiplin Belajar dan Lingkungan Keluarga Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa di SMA Sunan Giri Menganti

The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the influence of learning discipline and family environment on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Sunan Giri Menganti Gresik partially and simultaneously. In this research, researchers used quantitative research with an associative approach. Based on calculations using the Slovin formula, the samples used in this research were 82 students of Sunan Giri Menganti Gresik. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that partially and simultaneously the learning discipline variable and the family environment variable have a positive and significant effect on the learning outcome variables for class X at SMA Sunan Giri Menganti Gresik.

The research aims to analyze how learning motivation and family environment partially or simultaneously affect the learning outcomes of economic subjects for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk. The approach used is quantitative correlation with the subject, namely 144 children of the saturated sample technique. Data were obtained through questionnaires and tests. Data analysis is multiple linear regression. The results showed a significant influence of learning motivation and family environment, partially or simultaneously, on the learning outcomes of economic subjects in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk.

The Influence of Entrepreneurial Motives, Family Environment and Financial Literacy on Entrepreneurial Intentions

The high level of poverty and low entrepreneurship ratio in Indonesia have encouraged the government to increase the number of young entrepreneurs. By focusing on students of the Jakarta State University Entrepreneurial Student Program (Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha/PMW), this research aims to explore the influence of entrepreneurial motives, family environment, and financial literacy on entrepreneurial intensity. quantitative and uses survey research methods. This research uses dependent variables and independent variables. The results of quantitative research with 165 respondents show that partially entrepreneurial motives and family environment have a positive and significant influence on students' entrepreneurial intensity. Research recommends the need for entrepreneurship development programs that can strengthen entrepreneurial motives and create a family environment that supports student entrepreneurial activities. Although financial literacy has not been proven to have a significant effect, research highlights the importance of paying attention to other aspects that may be more dominant in motivating students to become young entrepreneurs. These findings provide a basis for development policies and educational programs that are more effective in increasing the intensity of entrepreneurship among students, so that they can make a positive contribution to the economy and reduce poverty levels.

The Influence of Entrepreneurial Education, Self-efficacy, Family Environment, and Entrepreneurial Risk on the Entrepreneurial Interest of Students at Stie Pancasetia Banjarmasin

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Entrepreneurship Education, SelfEfficacy, Family Environment, and Entrepreneurial Risk simultaneously or partially on the Entrepreneurial Interest of student at STIE Pancasetia Banjarmasin. This study uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research, the type of data used in this research is quantitative data. The research population consists of students at STIE Pancasetia Banjarmasin. The method of determining the sample used purposive sampling where the sample is determined based on two criteria quota sampling is applied, limiting the number of respondents to 80. To determine the causal relationship between the variables of Entrepreneurship Education, SelfEfficacy, Family Environment, and Entrepreneurial Risk on Entrepreneurial Interest of student at STIE Pancasetia Banjarmasin using multiple linear regression tests The results of the study show that: 1) Simultaneously there is a significant influence between Entrepreneurship Education, Self-Efficacy, Family Environment, and Entrepreneurial Risk on Entrepreneurial Interest of student, 2) Partially, Entrepreneurship Education, Self-Efficacy, Family Environment, and Entrepreneurial Risk have significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest of student, 3). Entrepreneurship Education are the variable that makes the greatest contribution on Entrepreneurial Interest of student.

The Influence of Learning Discipline and Family Environment on Learning Outcomes in Economics Subjects

Background: the learning outcomes of students have not met the Minimum Completeness Criteria 73 set by the school. This can be seen from the average score of students in the form of Mid Semester Tests from economic subjects of 58.54 or an average completeness of 31% of 164 students consisting of 114 students who have not completed the class. Aim: This study aims to determine the effect of learning discipline on the environment and family on the learning outcomes of economic subjects of students in class XI IPS Senior High School 4 Palangkaraya. Method: This research includes quantitative research, the population in this study were all students of class XI IPS Senior High School 4 Palangkaraya totalling 164 students with a sample representing the entire population of 116 students. Data collection is done by questionnaire method. Data analysis techniques using cycles: normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, multiple linear regression test and hypothesis testing. Results and Dıscussion: The results showed that: (1) there is an effect of learning discipline in economic subjects of students in class IX IPS obtained a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then learning discipline is declared to have an effect on learning outcomes of 22.2%, obtained from the results of the coefficient of partial determination. (2) there is an influence of the family environment of economic subjects for students in class IX IPS obtained a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then learning discipline is declared to have an effect on learning outcomes by 25.3%, obtained from the results of the partial determination coefficient. (3) there is an influence of learning discipline and family environment on the economic subjects of class IX social studies students obtained a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then learning discipline and family environment are declared to have an effect on learning outcomes by 47.5%, obtained from the results of the coefficient of determination.

A study on the relationship between students’ psychological depression and family situations using multi-factor logistic regression analysis

Long-term psychological depression can seriously damage the physical and mental growth of adolescent students, and effective interventions are needed to address students’ depression. This paper briefly introduced students’ depressive mood and surveyed students in three grades from ten high schools in Zhengzhou City in 2020 with questionnaires that included the degree of depression and family environment in addition to conventional information. After preliminary screening of indicators related to depressive mood, the influence of family environment on depressive mood was analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that factors such as intimacy, recreation, and organization in the family environment could effectively suppress depressive mood, while ambivalent and controlling factors could exacerbate depressive mood.

개인특성, 가정 및 학교환경 변인이 고등학생의 진로적응력에 미치는 영향

Objectives This study examined the influence of personal characteristics(self-esteem, social withdrawal, de-pression, academic engagement, and cooperation), family environment(parenting attitudes), and school environ-ment(friendship and teacher relationships) on predictors of career adaptability in high school students.
 Methods For this purpose, hierarchical regression analysis was performed on the high school data of 1,213 boys and 1,041 girls from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018. Hierarchical regression analysis is a step-by-step method of determining the magnitude of the relative influence of multiple independent variables on the dependent variable.
 Results The results of this study were as follows. First, the factors that influenced high school students' career adaptability were academic engagement and self-esteem, inconsistent parenting, social withdrawal and depres-sion, and friendships. Second, when career adaptability was analyzed by dividing it into career interest, career control, career curiosity, and career confidence, the personal characteristics of academic engagement was found to be the most influential variable. In addition, it was also found that personal characteristics, family environment, and school environment have multi-angular effects on career adaptability and career interest, but school environ-ment has no effect on career control, career curiosity, and career confidence.
 Conclusions Based on this result, implications of this study and suggestions for improving the career adaptability of high school students were discussed.

The Influence of School Principal Leadership, Family Environment, and Learning Motivation on Student Learning Outcomes at State Junior High School 1 and 3 Tareran

Student learning outcomes are the main problem in this research. This research aims to analyze the influence of the principal's leadership, family environment, and learning motivation on student learning outcomes at State Junior High School 1 and 3 Tareran. This type of research uses a survey research method with a quantitative research approach and is analyzed using descriptive data analysis as well as percentages and multiple linear regression. The research population was 283 respondents and the sample was 57 respondents using probability sampling techniques. The data collection technique used consists of distributing questionnaires and documentation of student learning outcomes. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant and positive influence between the variables of principal leadership, family environment, and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in the two secondary schools. The family environment variable has the greatest influence at 20.25%, followed by the principal's leadership at 12.39%. and learning motivation of 7.29%.

Analysis on the Causes of Psychological Diseases Such as Depression and Anxiety in Adolescents

To analyze the factors that cause anxiety and depression in adolescents and provide ideas for finding and solving mental health problems in adolescents. To provide basis for the prevention of psychological diseases for the society and adolescents themselves. Use literature review The causes of mental health problems of adolescents were analyzed from 5 aspects, including the influence of early adverse experiences, family environment, school environment, individual factors and social environment. And the individual factor and the objective factor exist certain interaction. The factors that cause anxiety and depression in adolescents are complex and diverse, and need to be analyzed from many aspects in the treatment of psychological diseases of adolescents.
