The need for state support for cattle breeding is important in market conditions. The current situation causes difficulties in many areas. The cattle breeding industry is no exception, in the current situation it is experiencing certain difficulties associated with the instability of the external and internal environment. This segment is important in the field of ensuring the food market. Government support for the livestock industry, as a rule, leads to an increase in the production of meat, meat and dairy products. However, a number of industry problems are being identified, including the unstable profitability of cattle breeding enterprises. Therefore, in our opinion, there is a need for timely research in this area in general, in particular, issues related to the regulation of the cattle industry at the state level and the measures taken to support and develop it.

Development of the creative economy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

One of the global trends of the modern world in the development of socio-economic industry has become the formation of creative industries. Creative industries are the basis of creative economy, which is based on the capitalisation of intellectual property in all fields of activity. This has resulted in an increased demand for value-added products and services, leading to the expansion of existing markets and the creation of new employment opportunities. In this context, support for creative industries cannot be considered within the confines of traditional sectoral policies; rather, it should be regarded as the formation of a new paradigm for regional development. The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is actively involved in shaping its creative economy by introducing strategic initiatives such as supporting local creative industries, developing infrastructure for creative entrepreneurs and promoting the region’s cultural heritage. A significant development was the adoption by the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the decree “On Approval of the Concept of Creative Economy Development until 2025” in 2019, which indicates a deliberate progression in this direction. In 2024, the Decree “On the Development of Creative Economy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” emerged as the primary strategic document centred on regional particularities, underscoring the pivotal role of creative industries in fostering sustainable regional development. Consequently, Yakutia serves as a notable exemplar of the integration of creative industries into the regional economic structure, which can potentially serve as a model for other regions.

The Impact of Carbon Neutrality Policy on China's Electric Vehicle Market: A Study Based on Sales Data and Policy Analysis

Under Chinas climate plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, where it wants to peak its emissions by 2030, the electric vehicle (EV) market is set to play a pivotal role. Using sales data and policy analysis, this paper investigates the effects of carbon neutrality policies on Chinas EV market. Global and local policies, such as subsidies, tax credits, and procurement requirements, have provided essential support for the EV industry and its market. Using sales and policy analysis, the research investigates how policy initiatives have impacted consumers, shifted automaker strategies and influenced the advancement of battery technology. The analysis revealed that since 2018, Chinese electric vehicle sales have skyrocketed due to policy pushes, with BEVs leading the charge. The results highlight that further policy and infrastructural development and technological advancement are crucial to maintaining market growth for the long-term target of environmental sustainability. Hence, the paper provides guidelines for policymakers and industry players in China to improve strategies that complement the countrys carbon reduction goals while acting as a reference for nations with similar climate goals.

Advances in the Study of Heartwood Formation in Trees.

Heartwood, serving as the central constituent of the xylem, plays a crucial role in the growth, development, and resilience of trees. The process of heartwood formation constitutes a complex biological phenomenon influenced by various factors. A thorough examination of the mechanisms underpinning heartwood formation not only enhances our understanding of the growth and developmental paradigms regulating trees but also provides essential theoretical support and practical insights for the timber industry, forestry management, and ecological conservation. This paper offers an overview of the foundational processes involved in heartwood formation in plants. Furthermore, it presents a comprehensive review of the latest research advancements in this domain, covering five key aspects: metabolism, hormonal regulation, transcriptional regulation, cell biology, and environmental influences. This review serves as a valuable basis for future research endeavors in related academic fields.

Study on Poverty Alleviation and Resettlement Areas from Poverty Alleviation to Rural Revitalization

The rural revitalization strategy proposed by the state is consistent with the goal of poverty alleviation and relocation work in easy areas, and its related industrial development, employment support and other directions are similar, which can achieve effective convergence. The development of poverty alleviation and relocation in rural areas helps to achieve poverty alleviation and inject vitality into rural revitalization construction. This paper discusses the policy evolution from poverty alleviation to rural revitalization from the perspective of resettlement areas for poverty alleviation in rural areas, analyzes the existing problems in rural revitalization construction, and puts forward the relocation strategy for poverty alleviation in rural areas, aiming to implement the national development goals and help consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation.

A Novel 5G Fronthaul Architecture Based on Quantum Security Protection

In the digital age, 5G technology has significantly enhanced global communication capabilities, providing strong support for various industries. However, 5G falls short of achieving comprehensive intelligence within the Internet of Things (IoT), propelling the development of 6G technology. 6G is expected to further enhance network performance by integrating advanced technologies such as AI and quantum communication, while expanding application scenarios to include communication in extreme environments for comprehensive global connectivity. This paper proposes an innovative fronthaul architecture that applies Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology to the 5G fronthaul, leveraging its unconditionally secure key generation and distribution mechanism. In this design, costlier Alice devices are placed on the AAU side, while less expensive Bob devices are positioned on the DU side, optimizing deployment to reduce engineering costs and lower deployment barriers. The feasibility of this architecture is demonstrated by calculating the secure key rate. Comparative analysis with existing research is performed to clarify future research directions. These innovations not only enhance 5G network security but also offer new solutions for the security requirements of 6G networks, such as data security, network resilience, and algorithm transparency. Our research offers strategic value for future network security, laying the groundwork for reliable networks.

International interests: Student and industry perspectives on agicultural communications curriculum development in Ontario

This study explores the potential development of an agricultural communications program at the [Institution]. It aims to understand the current knowledge of and interest in the discipline among Ontarian agriculture students and industry professionals, and the perceived importance and employability of hypothetical program graduates, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goal of quality education. Using a qualitative descriptive case study approach, focus groups with 18 students and six industry professionals were conducted. Data were collected through open-ended questions, analyzed using open coding and thematic analysis, and triangulated with demographic surveys. The findings reveal a general lack of understanding of agricultural communications among Ontarian students, who nonetheless recognize the field's potential to bridge gaps between producers and consumers, particularly through social media and diverse job opportunities. Industry professionals emphasized the growing importance of storytelling, crisis communication, and the need for poly-skilled graduates capable of addressing varied communication needs within the agricultural sector. Both stakeholder groups expressed interest in an agricultural communications academic program. Recommendations include engaging broader industry support for the program, integrating agricultural communications training across existing agricultural disciplines at the [Institution], and continuing research to refine curriculum development.

Heat Tolerance Differences Between Hu Sheep and Hu Crossbred Sheep in Microbial Community Structure and Metabolism.

The frequent occurrence of extreme temperature events causes significant economic losses to the livestock industry. Therefore, delving into the differences in the physiological and molecular mechanisms of heat stress across different sheep breeds is crucial for developing effective management and breeding strategies. This study explores the differences in heat tolerance mechanisms between Hu sheep and Xinggao sheep by comparing their growth performance under normal and heat stress conditions, as well as examining the differences in physiological, biochemical, and antioxidant indicators related to heat tolerance, serum metabolomics, and gut microbiomics in a heat stress environment. The results indicate that with changes in the temperature-humidity index (THI), Hu sheep exhibit superior stability in respiratory rate (RR) and rectal temperature (RT) fluctuations compared to Xinggao sheep. In terms of biochemical indicators and antioxidant capacity, the levels of creatinine (Cr) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in Hu sheep serum are significantly higher than those in Xinggao sheep. In comparison, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels are significantly lower. Metabolomic results showed that, compared to Hu sheep, Xinggao sheep exhibited higher cortisol (COR) and dopamine (DA) levels under heat stress conditions, a stronger lipid mobilization capacity, and elevated levels of tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle-related metabolites. Furthermore, gut microbiome analysis results indicate that Hu sheep demonstrate stronger cellulose degradation capabilities, as evidenced by significantly higher abundances of microorganisms such as Ruminococcus, Fibrobacter, and Bacteroidales_RF16_group, compared to Xinggao sheep. In summary, Hu sheep exhibit stronger heat tolerance compared to Xinggao sheep. These findings provide an important theoretical basis for the breeding and selection of heat-tolerant meat sheep varieties and offer strong support for the region's livestock industry in addressing the challenges posed by global warming.

Analysis of Coupled Coordination and Driving Factors of Urbanization, Ecosystem Services, and Human Well-Being in the High and Coarse Sediment Yield in the Middle Yellow River

The ecological and social problems brought about by China’s rapid urbanization process threaten sustainable development. Taking the cities with high and coarse sediment yield in the middle reaches of the Yellow River as the research objects, this study constructed a complex analytical framework composed of urbanization, ecosystem service value (ESV), and human well-being (HBW) subsystems. The equivalent factor method (EFM) was used to evaluate the ESV. The entropy weight method (EWM) and the comprehensive nighttime light index (CNLI) were adopted to assess the level of urbanization and human well-being. Then, coupled coordination degree (CCD) and grey relational modes were developed to reveal the level and major obstacles of synergistic development. The results showed that, from 2000 to 2020, urbanization, ESV, and HWB increased. The average value of CCD grew from 0.34 to 0.56, with higher coordination levels in the northeast and south. The coordinated development is influenced by multiple factors, with the intensity of the driving factors decreasing in the order of industrial structure, population quality, economic drive, government regulation, and scientific and technological support. The results indicate that it is essential to formulate differentiated regionally coordinated development strategies and establish cross-regional cooperation mechanisms to achieve interactive urban economic development, ecological protection, and well-being improvements in the middle reaches of the Yellow River.

Development of Russia’s Metallurgical Industry under Sanctions Restrictions: Iran’s Experience

The relevance of this research topic lies in the crucial role of the metallurgical industry for the Russian economy as a whole. This industry is heavily relied upon by key sectors such as industry, the fuel and energy complex, and construction, which together account for more than half of GDP. The purpose of this article is to analyse the development of the Iranian metallurgical industry, which has been under the long-term impact of sanctions restrictions, in the context of its applicability to the Russian industry. Methods: The study was conducted by analysing official data from the World Steel Association, the Federal Customs Service, and other relevant sources. We used theoretical analysis and systematized information on the impact of sanctions on economic indicators. Scientific novelty: Based on the analysis of the long-term Iranian experience in countering sanctions restrictions and the efforts made by Russian metallurgical companies to operate their enterprises in similar conditions, the author suggests directions for the development of this sector of the economy. The results of the study: The article analyses the experience of Iran’s long-term development under the conditions of sanctions restrictions. We have identified and analysed the tools for levelling these restrictions. The author also analyses the measures of support for the metallurgical industry in Russia provided by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. These measures allow this sector of the economy to develop steadily in an unstable geopolitical situation. A comparative analysis of the counteraction to sanctions restrictions applied earlier for many years in the metallurgical industry of Iran and currently applied in Russia is presented. Practical significance: The results and conclusions of this article can be useful for both the scientific community and the heads of enterprises in the metallurgical industry in Russia in formulating medium- and long-term development plans.

Does smart city construction promote urban green development? Evidence from a double machine learning model.

The issue of whether smart city construction (SCC) can promote urban green development (UGD) is controversial. To address this problem, first, a UGD evaluation index system with four dimensions, namely, green production, green living, green growth, and green ecology, is developed in this study to measure the UGD level. Second, the causal relationship between SCC and UGD is examined by using a double machine learning model. Last, the influence mechanism of SCC on UGD is investigated in terms of industrial upgrading, resource allocation, information support, and technological innovation. Panel data from 282 Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2021 are used in this study, and several valuable conclusions are drawn. First, the UGD level of the Chinese cities shows an upward trend. Second, SCC can substantially promote UGD and has a positive effect on the green production, green living, and green growth of the Chinese cities. Third, SCC can promote the UGD of the Chinese cities through industrial upgrading, resource allocation, information support, and technological innovation. Last, the effect of SCC on UGD in the Chinese cities displays regional heterogeneity.

Starch retrogradation in starch-based foods: Mechanisms, influencing factors, and mitigation strategies.

Starch-based foods are the most common foods in the daily diets. However, starch-based foods are prone to starch retrogradation, resulting in texture hardening, taste deterioration and nutrient loss. This paper reviewed the mechanisms and the influencing factors of starch retrogradation in starch-based foods, and the strategies to mitigate it. The core mechanisms and influencing factors of starch retrogradation are analyzed in depth, and various methods to alleviate it are summarized. Starch retrogradation is mainly caused by recrystallization of amylose and amylopectin, accompanied by moisture migration and rearrangement of starch molecules. The amylose to amylopectin ratio, moisture content, protein and lipids are intrinsic factors. At the same time, processing methods and storage temperatures are extrinsic conditions that significantly affect the rate and extent of starch retrogradation. Effective measures to alleviate starch retrogradation include the addition of food ingredients and exogenous substances, the optimization of processing methods and storage conditions, as well as the application of edible coatings. This review aims to summarize the latest progress in delaying aging of starch-based foods, enhance the understanding of starch retrogradation mechanisms, and promote the development of starch-based foods with longer shelf lives, thereby providing scientific basis and technical support for the food industry.

ЭКОНОМИКА КРЕАТИВНЫХ ИНДУСТРИЙ: ВЛИЯНИЕ НА ЗАНЯТОСТЬ И ВВП

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of creative industries on eco-nomic development, in particular, on employment and GDP growth. The contribution of creative industries to the formation of added value, creation of jobs and innovative opportunities in the national economy is considered. The article analyzes the multiplier effects of the creative sector on related industries, including IT, tourism and education. Particular attention is paid to the prospects for digitalization, internationalization and government support for creative industries. The article also considers challenges such as lack of funding and infrastructure, intellectual property protection and adaptation to technological change.

Volatility, correlation and risk spillover effect between freight rates in BCI and BPI markets: Evidence from static and dynamic GARCH-Copula and dynamic CoVaR models.

The dry bulk shipping market plays a crucial role in global trade. To examine the volatility, correlation, and risk spillover between freight rates in the BCI and BPI markets, this paper employs the GARCH-Copula-CoVaR model. We analyze the dynamic behavior of the secondary market freight index for dry bulk cargo, highlighting its performance in a complex financial environment and offering empirical support for the shipping industry and financial markets. The findings reveal that: (1) There are significant differences in correlation across various routes, with the correlation between BCI and BPI routes fluctuating over time. Among all route combinations, C5 and P3A_03 exhibit the highest positive correlation. (2) A one-way risk spillover exists between P1A_03 an C5, while two-way positive risk spillover is observed between other routes. This suggests that when a risk materializes on a specific route, other routes are also exposed to potential risks, with varying intensities of spillover. (3) The distance and geographical location of routes may be key factors influencing the differing intensities of risk spillover. This highlights the need to consider the geographical characteristics of routes in understanding risk transmission. This paper aims to provide risk management strategies based on these empirical findings, assisting shipping companies and investors in developing more effective responses to market volatility.

Supply Chain Management Skills in Business and Humanitarian Contexts

This study explores the differential skill requirements within supply chain management (SCM) across commercial and humanitarian contexts and career levels. Analysing 116 responses regarding context and 96 concerning career levels, the research confirms the applicability of the T-shaped model, highlighting the distinct skills critical for each sector. Significant discrepancies were found: humanitarian SCM prioritizes functional logistics, while business SCM places a larger emphasis on information technology, customs, transportation, and port/airport management. These findings suggest a dynamic skillset evolution, where functional skills, essentialat entry-level positions, give way to general management capabilities as one progresses. This shift is more pronounced by experience rather than job title in the humanitarian sector. The implications for educational institutions and SCM practice are profound, necessitating curriculum updates to meet changing industry demands and support logistics practitioners transitioning between sectors.

Formation of an Industrial Sector Strategy Using the Ex-Ample of Machine Tool Production

The events occurring in the Russian economy after the start of the Special Military Operation have aggravated the task of accelerated and comprehensive industrial development of the country. In this regard, the presented article examines approaches to the formation of strategies for industrial sectors, management tools used by the state for these purposes, and their application in the context of sanctions pressure. At the same time, development priorities are shifting from integration into the global division of labor to work focused on own resources, inclusion in local markets, cooperation with friendly countries. As part of solving the designated problem, theoretical views on the formation of industry strategies, existing regulatory documents, and the practice of the work carried out are considered, which made it possible to record the generalized structure of the industry strategy, the composition of its main components (functional strategies), and the sequence of key actions for preparation. The practical part of the work considers measures to develop the machine tool industry, which has been in a deplorable state in recent years. The current steps for its development are reflected from the formation of the industry strategy in 2020, even before the start of the SVO, up to new initiatives reflected in the national project "Means of Production and Automation", prepared in 2024 and aimed at accelerated development. It is noted that the priorities should be not only and not so much the restoration of the lagging production base, re-equipment and modernization of production, expansion of competencies and personnel training, but also at the same time a significant strengthening of the technological and innovative level of developments. From this angle, the key areas of additional support for industry, the tools used by the state for these purposes are studied. In conclusion, possible pain points for further development are recorded and measures to mitigate them are proposed.

With the continuous promotion of rural revitalization strategies in our country, the development of rural agricultural industrialization has gradually become a key part of our social and economic development. This study, based on the significance of innovative agricultural industrialization development, addresses the current issues facing agricultural industrialization development, such as weak awareness of industrialization development, insufficient labor force in rural areas, lagging industrialization infrastructure, and low investment in industrialization development under the perspective of rural revitalization. It proposes strategies such as actively promoting the concept of industrialization development, implementing talent introduction policies, strengthening the construction of industrialization infrastructure in rural areas, and enhancing financial support for agricultural industrialization, with the aim of providing useful references for innovative agricultural industrialization development in the context of rural revitalization in our country.

Challenges, Solutions, and Policy Suggestions for China's New Energy Vehicle Industry

This article deeply analyzes the main problems facing China's new energy vehicle industry, briefly analyzes the solution, and discusses how the government conducts top-level design and the government's specific measures to promote the development of the new energy vehicle industry. First of all, this article pointed out issues such as insufficient innovation capabilities, limited intelligent application investment, and lagging development of the waste recycling business. In response to these issues, this article proposes solutions such as strengthening technological innovation, connecting the connection between patent cooperation networks, promoting intelligent production, and establishing a standardized waste recycling system. Secondly, this article discusses the policy synergy that the government should consider in the top-level design, including the three dimensions of content, structure, and process, and emphasizes the importance of policy target integration, incentive policy optimization, and policy coherence. Finally, this article proposes that the government can introduce suggestions such as subsidy policies, financial support, talent training, and industrial support, and emphasize the need to improve the need for the new energy vehicle industry chain.

Managing the socio-economic development of creative industries in the northern regions of Russia: Challenges and prospects

Subject. This article discusses the problem of creating jobs and realizing the creative potential of young professionals in the northern regions of Russia. Objectives. The article aims to rank the northern regions of Russia by level of development of the creative economy. Methods. For the study, we used a cluster analysis. Results. The article finds that the creative sectors of the economy are characterized by positive changes, and prerequisites have been created for increasing the percentage of relevant goods and services in the gross domestic product of Russia. Nevertheless, in the northern regions, government support for certain industries is required. Conclusions. Strategic cooperation between public authorities and private entrepreneurship plays an important role in the process of forming a creative economy.
