PENGARUH DEBT TO EQUITY RATIO, RETURN ON EQUITY DAN CURRENT RATIO TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

A high firm’s value gives an idea that the company’s shares are also high. This will be attractive and well viewed by investors. PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. Tbk has a firm value that is still relatively high, but the company’s debt is increasing and the results of previous research are different from the results of data on the company. This research aims to examine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity, Current Ratio on Firm Value. The population in this study is industrial companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2022 period. The data used are secondary data. Based on the purposive sampling method there are 29 companies final samples from this study. Observations were made for 4 years so that the number of observations obtained was 116 observation data. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 25 application program . The results of this study indicate that Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative effect on Firm Value, Return On Equity has a positive effect on Firm Value and current ratio does not effect on Firm Value

Reaching Forest Workers with Yellow Fever Vaccine Through Engagement of the Private Sector in Central African Republic

Background/Objectives: Yellow fever (YF) outbreaks continue to affect populations that are not reached by routine immunization services, such as workers at a high risk of occupational exposure to YF. In the Central African Republic (CAR), YF cases were detected in districts characterized by the presence of workers in forest areas. We developed an innovative approach based on a local partnership with private companies of the extractive industry to administer YF vaccine to workers in remote areas during the response to an outbreak. Methods: The planning stage of the campaign included the mapping of forestry and mining companies through the involvement of national and/or local representatives of companies from both the formal and informal sectors. Information sessions and mobilization targeted the heads of operating companies. Advanced and mobile strategies were used to target workers on their work site. Companies provided logistical support including transportation and communication and set up temporary vaccination posts. Results: Using this local partnership, it was possible to vaccinate over 70,000 workers (5.8% of the entire vaccinated population) in hard-to-reach areas, protecting them from YF. This represented around 47% of the estimated number of workers and dependents. The partnership with the private sector also contributed to increasing knowledge on the risk of YF and means of protection among a high-risk community. Conclusions: Private companies represent potentially useful actors that can contribute to the protection of high-risk workers and to the prevention and control YF outbreaks. The experience in the CAR has demonstrated that it is possible to obtain support from private companies, including informal ones, for a vaccination campaign.

Pengaruh Penerapan Green Accounting Terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan (Studi Pada Perusahaan Peraih Penghargaan Industri Hijau Yang Listing Di BEI 2020-2022)

This study aims to assess the effect of green accounting implementation on the performance of award-winning companies in the green industry listed on the IDX from 2020 to 2022. This study applies a quantitative methodology making use of secondary data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange publication for 2020 to 2022. The study population consists of companies that receive the PROPER predicate, especially those in the Gold and Green categories. The sample was identified by means of a purposive sampling strategy, resulting in 13 selected organizations, with a research technique involving multiple linear regression analysis. The research findings confirm that environmental spending has no impact on the company performance. This is because profit-oriented companies will take into account all expenses, including environmental expenses that reduce profit margins. Some companies categorize environmental costs as administrative and general costs, while others classify them as voluntary costs in their annual reports. Environmental performance positively affects company performance. Environmental performance (PROPER) effectively attracts stakeholders to invest in the organization. Companies that demonstrate strong environmental performance will receive positive responses from investors and stakeholders, thereby contributing to long-term revenue growth.

Do polluters outperform non-polluters?

ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether industrial companies with more toxic emissions outperform those with less toxic emissions. First, firms that pollute the most do not consistently outperform those that pollute the least in an almost stochastic dominance sense. Moreover, firms with average amounts of emissions occasionally outperform firms that pollute the least due to the non-uniform pattern in mean returns across emission portfolios. Second, although a hedge portfolio that is long (short) in the most (least) brown firms earns significantly positive alphas based on standard asset pricing models, these abnormal returns can become statistically insignificant when factors from multiple models are combined. Third, although the highest-emission quintile generates superior reward-to-risk ratios and manipulation-proof performance measures than the lowest-emission quintile, the pattern across portfolios is once again not uniform.

US sanctions and the reshaping of Chinese innovation strategies

PurposeAs the China–US trade tensions escalate, the implementation of US sanctions has imposed severe restrictions on the innovation resources of Chinese firms. This study introduces the theory of peer effect to investigate whether US sanctions stimulate a homogenization of innovation strategies among Chinese companies in the same industry, thereby giving rise to an innovation peer effect.Design/methodology/approachThis study utilizes a sample of 4,078 A-share listed companies from 2015 to 2021 and employs a multi-period difference-in-differences (DID) model for analysis.FindingsThe findings indicate that US sanctions significantly stimulate innovation inputs among companies in the same industry, but concurrently, they suppress innovation outputs. Moreover, a higher degree of internationalization weakens the promotion of innovation inputs by US sanctions and amplifies the inhibitory effect on innovation outputs. A high proportion of long-term loans offsets the negative impact on innovation outputs, whereas a high proportion of short-term loans diminishes the positive impact on innovation inputs.Research limitations/implicationsThis study elucidates how external shocks impact companies’ innovation capabilities within the same industry, offering a fresh perspective on understanding the influence of China–US trade tensions on innovation among Chinese firms.Practical implicationsChinese firms should view US sanctions-induced technological challenges as opportunities, fostering breakthrough innovations through industry-academia collaboration. Balancing risk and reward is also key when navigating technological innovation and global strategies.Originality/valueThis study comprehensively reflects the impact of the US sanctions on Chinese firm innovation. It lays the foundation for analyzing the transmission mechanism of other trade policies under the framework of trade friction theory.

Factors Influencing Selection of Dairy Products by Retailers with Special Reference to Amul - A Study in Raipur

This report summarizes the comprehensive analysis of the behavior of retailers, product range, and promotion strategies by the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the dairy products industry. The study was done during a two-month internship at Amul, with an objective to get practical knowledge about the distribution, marketing, and sales activities of FMCG companies through General Trade, Modern Trade, and Horeca channels. These considerations include profit margins, available products, reliable supply chain, and brand equity to arrive at a conclusion. Thereby, findings suggest the preference of retailers for trusted brands by the consumers having quality assurance and consistent supplies because of the perishability aspect related with dairy products such as milk, curd, and paneer. In addition, kiosk events, wall paintings, and shutter advertisements have proven to have a positive effect on the visibility of the brand and engagement of the consumers with the brand, thus affecting the decision of retailers to stock. Shelf space allocation was also observed to depend on consumer demand, brand promotions, and product differentiation in competitive retail environments. Through market visits and retailer feedback, the study provided actionable recommendations to strengthen Amul's brand presence and optimize product turnover. This internship emphasized the importance of close relationships and support mechanisms from strong retailers in fostering brand loyalty and market growth in the FMCG industry. The Mediating Roles of Customer Trust and Satisfaction in E-Service Quality and the Repurchase Intention Relationship

The rapid growth of information technology and the internet has changed how the company runs its business. In an increasingly competitive business environment, gaining and increasing market share is a priority for companies in the E-Commerce industry. The study aims to determine the impact of E-Service Quality on Repurchase Intention, mediated by Customer Trust and Customer Satisfaction on E-Commerce users. The data is processed using a quantitative approach using the SEM-PLS method. The validity and reliability tests are first performed to determine the validity of the data, followed by the analysis of Structural Equation Modelling to determine the direct and indirect effect between research variables. Research results show that E-Service Quality significantly affects Customer Trust and Customer Satisfaction. In addition, Customer Trust and Customer Satisfaction significantly affect Repurchase Intention. Furthermore, E-Service Quality does not directly have a significant effect on Repurchase Intention. However, E-Service Quality indirectly affects Repurchase Intention through Customer Trust and Customer Satisfaction. Based on the research results, E-Commerce users make online repurchases not only based on the quality of the service received but also on the consumer's trust and satisfaction generated by the product or brand offered, which can significantly increase consumer repurchasing.

Management Control System and Firm Performance: A Strategic Approach

This research aims to examine the relationship between management control systems and firm performance through firm capability. The research used a survey method in processing industrial companies with a population of 137. The number of samples analyzed was 63 samples. The analytical tool used to test the hypothesis is Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of smart PLS software version 4.0. The research results succeeded in proving a direct relationship between the management control system affecting firm capability, the management control system on firm performance, and firm capability on firm performance. Apart from that, the results of this research also prove that firm capability can mediate the relationship between the management control system and firm performance. This indicates that the company’s success in achieving optimal performance and achieving competitive advantage lies in the strategy of implementing the management control system and firm capability. Therefore, the company continues to improve its management control system and capability so that firm performance can improve and achieve competitive advantage.

Designing Smart Supply Chains Based on Digital AI Instruments and Mobile Technologies

Academic and industrial research on digital technology has been quite thorough. Nevertheless, scant information exists regarding the supply chain implementation of digital technology in industrial companies. To better understand supply chains, this article will look at why and how manufacturing companies are implementing digital technology. The goal of this paper’s literature analysis is to pinpoint current studies and perspectives on how these technologies could help digital supply chains (DSCs) operate better, faster, and more efficiently. The investigation looks at the technologies’ directions and challenges in improving the efficiency of digital help confinement, in addition to underlining their significance for supply chains and logistics. It investigates the managerial and practical issues in developing a new integrated paradigm for digital supply chains. Also, possible obstacles to DSCs and procurement will be examined, along with solutions. Consequently, this study pinpoints multiple opportunities for adding value when implementing Internet of Things (IoT) in the supply chain using mobile technology. Additionally, it suggests a method for creating business models for supply chain algorithms.

PENGARUH CASH HOLDING, PROFITABILITAS DAN FINANCIAL LEVERAGE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

This research aims to analyze the influence of cash holdings, profitability and financial leverage on company value in manufacturing companies in the primary industry and chemical sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2020 to 2022. The aim of this research is to use multiple regression analysis to identify the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, namely company value. The findings show that cash holdings do not have a significant impact on firm value, indicating that investors do not consider the level of a company's cash holdings when making investment decisions. In addition, financial leverage varies depending on the company's situation, but profitability as measured by return on assets (ROA) also does not have a positive impact on company value.These findings provide important insights for management as they develop financial strategies to increase shareholder value.

This study aims to analyze the impact of capabilities, visibility, and supply chain resilience on supply chain performance and company performance, with the moderating variables of the number of employees and company age. The subjects of this study are directors, managers, supervisors, or staff/operators from various industrial companies in Indonesia. The research sample consists of 140 respondents, selected using a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires distributed via Google Forms and measured with a five-point Likert scale. For data processing, this study employs Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using the SMART-PLS version 3 software. The results of this study are as follows: supply chain capabilities and visibility have a significant impact on supply chain resilience, supply chain performance, and company performance, with supply chain resilience serving as a mediating variable. Additionally, supply chain performance significantly affects company performance. Company age does not moderate the relationship between capabilities and supply chain resilience. Similarly, the number of employees does not moderate the impact of supply chain capabilities on supply chain resilience

Innovative efforts and export performance in Ecuador’s metal mechanics industry

This study aimed to investigate the innovation activities of exporting companies in the meta-mechanics industry in Ecuador using the Ecuadorian Science, Technology, and Innovation Activities (ACTI) survey database. A total of 219 metal–mechanical companies were selected, and a principal component analysis was conducted to identify the most commonly used innovation activities by exporting companies. Additionally, a logit econometric model was developed to determine the probability of exporting based on the selected innovation activities. The findings of this study indicate that not all innovation activities increase the probability of innovation in the metal-mechanic industry in Ecuador. Specifically, the acquisition of machinery and equipment increases the probability of innovation in the industry. Overall, this research contributes to our understanding of the innovation-export relationship in the meta-mechanics industry in Ecuador and has important implications for policymakers and businesses seeking to promote economic development and growth in this sector.

Peran Kepuasan Kerja Dipengaruhi Gaji, Stabilitas Pekerjaan, Pengayaan Pekerjaan, dan Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Komitmen Karyawan

Employee commitment is an important factor for the success of industrial companies in Tangerang City, especially in the tire production industry sector, because committed employees tend to increase job satisfaction, productivity, and profitability. This study aims to determine the effect of salary, job stability, job enrichment, and work environment on job satisfaction and employee commitment. The method in this study is quantitative, with a non-probability sampling method and a purposive sampling technique of 150 male employee respondents in the mixing center department at XYZ company in Tangerang City who have worked for at least 2 years. The results of data analysis using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) show that salary, job stability, job enrichment, and work environment have a positive effect on job satisfaction and employee commitment. This research encourages companies to focus more on job satisfaction and employee commitment. It is expected that future researchers will add other variables that may be influential, such as organizational culture, leadership style, and employee performance to broaden their understanding of the factors that influence job satisfaction and employee commitment.

Collaborations for Circular Food Waste Management in Italian Fish Manufacturing Firms: a Resource Dependence Perspective

This paper aims to shed light on supply chain collaborations in circular economy for food waste prevention and management. The exploratory study adopts a multiple case study research design on a sample of two polar cases: a small enterprise and a large company in the Italian manufacturing industry of fishery products. Resource Dependence Theory (RDT) allows for an understanding of the mechanisms of circular supply chains, describing strategic motivators of collaborations for circular economy, and overall provides a novel perspective on food waste prevention and management. This study highlights how companies develop in-house solutions when the food waste streams are moderate but rely on collaborations when the streams are conspicuous, thus, the need to implement circular economy solutions fosters collaborations. The findings provide a novel perspective on collaborations in circular economy; furthermore, RDT offers a novel conceptualization of food waste management practices, highlighting the suitability of further applying RDT to this field of study.

Pengaruh Strategi Bisnis dan Good Corporate Governance Terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan: Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Industri Barang Konsumsi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2020-2022

Company performance is a decision from all agreed factors, therefore to assess company performance by increasing the company's financial performance. The basis for decision making can be seen by measuring the company's financial performance. Company performance is a measure of how well a company uses its assets and other resource to generate income. The study aims to analyze the effect of business strategy and good corporate governance on company performance. The population in this study are Consumer Goods Industry Companies in 2020-2022. The sample in this study were 62 companies obtained through purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The result of this research show that the Business Strategy, the Board of Commissioners, and the Board of Directors influences company performance.

Machine efficiency assessment based on OEE indicator analysis

This work presents a comparative analysis of the technological process before and after its modernization. The aim of the work was a comparative analysis based on the assessment of the OEE total effectiveness indicator on the example of one of the metal industry companies. The research conducted in this work took into account both the company's technical capabilities and issues related to technological process management. The work contains the characteristics of defined problems and the scope of corrective actions aimed at reducing or completely eliminating them.

Artificial intelligence and the quality of accounting information in Palestinian industrial companies

Purpose This study aims to identify the impact of adopting different techniques of artificial intelligence including (expert systems, machine learning, neural networks and algorithms) in improving the quality of accounting information characteristics such as; appropriateness, faithful representation and verifiability in Palestinian industrial enterprises. Design/methodology/approach Employees from 13 companies registered on the Palestine Stock Exchange for 2023 were selected. Moreover, the sample included 326 randomly chosen participants. A questionnaire was distributed to participants to collect data, and a descriptive-analytical approach was followed to achieve the study’s aim and examine its hypotheses. Findings The results showed that the use of artificial intelligence techniques (expert systems, machine learning, neural networks and algorithms) has a positive effect on improving the quality of accounting information characteristics (relevance, faithful representation and verifiability). Expert systems, neural network applications and algorithms contribute to developing solutions to various problems in industrial companies; discovering fraudulent practices in financial statements; and obtaining more accurate, faster and more reliable results. Machine learning also links the company’s systems together simultaneously and in an integrated and effective manner. Research limitations/implications The research relied on the industrial sector only because expanding society is difficult due to the general conditions in Palestine, and the results may vary between different sectors due to the nature of their work and activity. Practical implications Industrial companies’ efforts to benefit from artificial intelligence applications in their work increase the quality of accounting information, which in turn reflects the company’s real situation and helps in making the necessary decisions efficiently and effectively. Originality/value This study contributes to directing the attention of financiers and accountants working in Palestinian industrial companies to the importance of applying artificial intelligence techniques to ensure the highest quality characteristics of accounting information through the preparation of accounting programmes that rely on artificial intelligence to operate, thus achieving the maximum degree of advantage in compiling financial data from its sources, operation and conversion into useful financial information for its users.

Toward Sustainable Development: Can Digital Transformation of Industrial Enterprise Drive Carbon Reduction?

Digital technologies have great potential to improve the global environment. To investigate the issue, this research takes Chinese A-share listed industrial firms as the observation object to explore the influence of digital transformation (DT) of industrial enterprise on carbon reduction. The results show that digital transformation can promote carbon reduction and provide strong support for achieving sustainable economic development. Digital transformation reduces carbon emissions through promoting green technology innovation, improving internal control quality, and easing financing constraints. The carbon-reducing role of digital transformation of state-owned industrial companies is more obvious than that of others. The influence of digital transformation on carbon emissions in firms with low energy consumption and low emissions is linear, whereas in firms with high energy consumption and high emissions, the digital transformation has an inverted U-shaped influence. The effect of digital transformation on carbon reduction has area heterogeneity, among which the eastern area in China is the most obvious, followed by the northeast and central regions; the western region is not significant. The research conclusions provide important theoretical support and practical experience for in-depth analysis of the driving mechanism of industrial carbon emission reduction and for seeking policy optimization paths in order to contribute wisdom to promoting sustainable development.

Peer effect of environmental information disclosure behavior in China:Empirical test based on "Real green" and "Fake green"

The quality of corporate environmental information disclosure is concerned by all sectors of society. Using data on Chinese listed A-share companies in heavy polluting industries from 2015 to 2022, this study examines whether the "quantity" and "quality" dimensions of corporate environmental information disclosure have peer effects in the same region. Further, it compares the mechanism and economic consequences of the "real green" and "fake green" behaviors. The empirical results show that environmental information disclosure has peer effect in both "quantity" and "quality", and the "real green" behavior and "fake green" behavior also exist. Two underlying mechanisms are identified: social learning and competitive imitation mechanisms. Further analysis reveals that the peer effect of "Real green" behavior is derived from the competitive imitation mechanism, and that of "Fake green" behavior is derived from the social learning mechanism. Overall, the peer effect of environmental information disclosure quality weakens the green innovation ability. Further, shows that the peer effect of "Real green" behavior has a positive U-shaped impact on green innovation. Research attention and environmental regulation play a certain role in regulating the peer effect on the quality of environmental information disclosure.
