Diplomasi Publik Cina terhadap Indonesia dalam Festival Kue Bulan Tahun 2023

The Mooncake Festival is one of China's public diplomacies through cultural activities towards Indonesia. On September 27, 2023, the Chinese Government, through its Ambassador in Indonesia, held a Mooncake Festival with the theme "Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with Full Flower and Full Moon". This festival is momentum for the Chinese Government to introduce the Mooncake Festival as one of the biggest celebrations in Chinese culture to the Indonesian people. This study aims to examine China's public diplomacy efforts towards Indonesia through the 2023 Mooncake Festival. This study uses a qualitative method, with primary and secondary data sources and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. By utilizing the concept of public diplomacy from Ingrid D'Hooge, the conclusion of this study is the implementation of China's public diplomacy towards Indonesia through the 2023 Mooncake Festival involves many non-state actors and developing and launching strategies that focus on its culture by introducing Chinese culture to Indonesia. Not only that, China also uses publication media to implement China's public diplomacy toward Indonesia's success through the 2023 Mooncake Festival.

Self-Esteem Matters: Examining its Impact on Academic Achievement in the Context of Gender and Age Diversity in Higher Education

Self-esteem plays a crucial role in shaping academic achievement among university students. This study investigates how self-esteem, gender, and age influence academic performance, particularly within the Indonesian context. Despite extensive global research, there needs to be more understanding of these dynamics among Indonesian university students. The study explores the relationships between self-esteem, gender, age, and academic achievement, identifying significant predictors and differences. A quantitative survey design was employed to gather data from 309 students across 12 Central Java, Indonesia universities. Data collection was executed through online surveys distributed via WhatsApp and Facebook. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques with SPSS. The findings confirm that self-esteem significantly impacts academic achievement, establishing it as a strong predictor of academic success. While gender differences in self-esteem were notable, age did not significantly affect self-esteem. Interestingly, no significant gender gaps in academic performance were observed, though academic achievement varied across age groups. These conclusions suggest that enhancing self-esteem could improve academic outcomes. This research contributes to the global understanding of self-esteem dynamics, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions in educational settings. The insights gained can inform educators and policymakers in developing strategies to support students' academic success in Indonesia.

Empowering MSMEs through Financial Literacy and Inclusion Drives Success in Indonesia

This study investigates the impact of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and the ability to prepare financial statements on the performance of MSMEs in Sidoarjo. Using a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software, data were collected via questionnaires from 89 MSME owners in the food processing sector. The findings reveal that financial literacy and financial inclusion significantly enhance MSME performance, while the ability to prepare financial statements enables better financial control and decision-making. These results highlight the importance of improving financial skills and inclusion through targeted training and support programs to foster MSME growth. Adapting To The New Normal: Assessing Levers Of Control Implementation In Indonesian Organizations Post-COVID

This systematic literature review investigates the application of the Four Levers of Control (4LOC) framework in Indonesian organizations post-COVID-19. The research method involved a systematic search of electronic databases and analysis of relevant literature. Major findings indicate that effective implementation of the 4LOC framework contributes to organizational resilience, performance improvement, and competitive advantage across various sectors. Cultural factors, leadership styles, and strategic alignment emerge as critical determinants of success. The study underscores the versatility and effectiveness of the 4LOC framework in navigating challenges posed by dynamic environments. Conclusions highlight the importance of adaptive strategies, cultural sensitivity, and integrated control systems in driving sustainable growth and organizational success in Indonesia. Results indicate that LoC implementation has positively impacted organizational performance across sectors such as hospitality, start-ups, state-owned enterprises, government organizations, manufacturing, and the service industry. Notably, effective utilization of belief systems, boundary systems, diagnostic control systems, and interactive control systems has been instrumental in fostering innovation, resilience, and strategic alignment. These findings underscore the importance of robust management control systems in achieving organizational objectives and navigating uncertainties. The review concludes by recommending further research to explore longitudinal effects, contextual influences, and the role of emerging technologies in enhancing LoC implementation.

The Human Resources Competency Development as the Key to Organizational Success in Indonesia

Purpose: HR competency development is essential for organizational success in Indonesia, examining current practices and impacting organizational performance. Theoretical Framework: The study is grounded in the Human Resource Management (HRM) literature, precisely the concept of HR competency development. This framework suggests that developing HR competencies, such as strategic thinking, leadership, and communication, can improve organizational performance, including increased employee engagement, productivity, and profitability. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research design is a qualitative study that involves in-depth interviews with HR professionals from various industries in Indonesia. The data collected from the interviews will be analyzed using content analysis to identify themes related to HR competency development practices and their impact on organizational success. Findings: The study's findings are expected to provide insights into the current state of HR competency development in Indonesian organizations and the impact of HR competency development on organizational success. The findings will highlight the importance of HR competency development for organizational success in Indonesia. Research, Practical & Social Implications: This research has implications for research, practice, and society. It will provide empirical evidence on the impact of HR competency development on organizational success in Indonesia, inform HR professionals and leaders about its importance, and lead to the development of HR policies and programs to improve the skills and competencies of Indonesian workers. Originality/Value: This study focuses on HR competency development in Indonesia, which has yet to receive much attention in the existing literature. It will provide practical insights for HR professionals and organizational leaders.

MSME Marketing Mix Strategies For The International Market

MSMEs are businesses owned by the community, both individuals and entities, that meet the criteria for being a business. Indonesia's success in increasing the scale of the national economy cannot be separated from the role of MSME behavior. MSMEs in Nganjuk Regency have their own attraction which is supported by natural potential, namely the large number of shallot commodities. As time goes by, many people in Nganjuk Regency make a living from processing shallots, so there are many similar products from MSMEs. “Bawang Kita” MSMEs face several obstacles, namely seasonal market demand which is always changing and threats from similar MSMEs which create a competitive market situation both in the national and international markets. Along with fluctuating sales and increasingly fierce competition, “Bawang Kita” MSMEs need to pay attention to marketing mix strategies that are in line with the desires of domestic and foreign consumers. This can also help companies achieve superiority over the competition. This research discusses the effectiveness of implementing international marketing mix strategies in “Bawang Kita” MSMEs which is supported by SWOT analysis. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews with MSME Owner, Resellers, and Consumers. Results of this research that the implementation of the international marketing mix strategy in “Bawang Kita” MSMEs is effective in terms of every aspect of the marketing mix which is supported by data on sales, production and distribution as well as the ability to purchase new machines. However, in the SWOT analysis carried out by researchers, there are still weaknesses in the implementation of the marketing mix carried out by MSME “Bawang Kita”. Thus, the implementation of the marketing mix strategy in “Bawang Kita” MSMEs must be further improved

Legal Analysis of the Success of Mixue Franchise Schemes in Singapore, South Korea, and Japan Linked to the Success of Mixue Franchise Schemes in Indonesia and Vietnam

Franchising is a system of marketing goods and services and technology, which is based on closed and continuous cooperation between independent actors (meaning the franchisor and individual franchisee) and is separated both legally and financially, where the franchisor grants rights to the individual’s franchisee and imposes an obligation to carry out its business following the franchisor’s concept. The franchise business that is currently going viral is the Mixue franchise, which offers luxury ice cream at very cheap prices. Mixue became a franchise that had very rapid growth during the 2020 pandemic. In the 2020–2023 period, its outlets reached 1000 in Indonesia. So it is called the angel that takes away empty shophouses because the rapid development of Mixue also helps the property business. Even though it targets third and fourth-ranked cities, Mixue dominates provincial capitals in Indonesia. Mixue’s phenomenal success in Indonesia, after having had great success in Vietnam since 2018, has caused Mixue to expand to Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. In this research, the author will analyze the franchise laws from a legal perspective and compare them with those of the three countries, which may be a factor in the success of the Mixue franchise, which was previously achieved in Indonesia and Vietnam. This research is normative juridical research that uses secondary data in the form of primary legal materials, namely various relevant laws and regulations, and secondary legal materials, namely books and legal literature. The approaches used are statutory and conceptual. Results from research are hoped to provide one-stop article input for entrepreneurs, businesspeople, and legal academics regarding the comparison of franchise law, especially in Singapore, South Korea, and Japan, which Indonesia and Vietnam also complement.

With a better understanding of the factors influencing learning success, this research is expected to be a valuable guide in improving the quality of education in Indonesia to meet global demands and prepare future generations optimally. Observational analysis research is a research approach in which the researcher directly observes certain phenomena or events to gain a deeper understanding. In this context, "observational analysis" refers to the process of analyzing data obtained through direct observation. This method is usually used to explore in-depth information about behavior, interaction, or specific situations in a natural environment. Observational analysis research is often adopted in the fields of psychology, sociology, anthropology, and education (Moleong, 2010). Based on the background description of research related to the analysis of aspects of learning success in Indonesia through observational studies, it can be concluded that education in Indonesia faces complex and diverse challenges. Some obstacles, such as regional disparities, varying teacher quality, access to technology, and the role of parents in education, provide a context that requires serious attention.

Peran Komunikasi Pariwisata Pada Kegiatan Penghargaan Top Muslim Friendly Destination 2023

This study aims to determine the implementation of knowledge, development and success of Muslim Friendly Destination of Indonesia through Tourism Communication that generates motivation and appreciation. In the development of a tourism sector that is friendly to Muslim tourists, the role of tourism actors, academics, stake holders and the community is needed. It is not an easy matter to motivate various groups in the development of Muslim-friendly tourism, it requires the active role of all parties who can realize the development of Muslim-friendly tourism through tourism communication. The research method used is qualitative descriptive using Burhan Bungin's tourism communication theory, motivation theory and appreciation theory. The results of this study show that Indonesia's success in winning the Top Muslim Friendly Destination of the Year 2023 award cannot be separated from the role of tourism communication embodied by marketing communication management. The form of motivation in the award can be seen through recognition, appreciation and achievement of self-actualization or institutions in this case Muslim-friendly tourist destinations and appreciation of various groups both from within the country and abroad.

The Effect of Social Entrepreneurship, Government Support on Local Economic Performance in Indonesia, and the Impact of Local Initiatives Mediated by Intellectual Capital

This study explores the relationship between intellectual capital, government support, social entrepreneurship, and local economic success in Indonesia. Data were gathered from a broad sample of respondents who represented local businesses, government authorities, and social entrepreneurs using a quantitative research approach. The study utilized structural equation modeling (SEM) in conjunction with partial least squares (PLS) analysis to investigate the correlations between the variables. The results show that social entrepreneurship and government assistance have a major positive impact on local economic performance. It was also shown that intellectual capital acted as a mediator in these partnerships, underscoring its critical function in converting government assistance and social entrepreneurship into concrete economic results. The study highlights the significance of creating an environment that is supportive of entrepreneurship and innovation and advances our knowledge of the mechanisms driving economic progress in Indonesia. The knowledge gained from this study has important ramifications for stakeholders, practitioners, and policymakers who want to encourage local sustainable economic growth.

Indonesia's Role in the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum

This research aims to look at Indonesia's role in the establishment of the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) and Indonesia's interests in AIPF. Researchers used role theory and the concept of national interest to carry out the analysis. Then the method used by the author is a descriptive qualitative method. Primary data was obtained directly by the author through a visit to the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (KemenkoPolhukam) in October 2023, then researchers also used government and international statements to strengthen the research results. The result of this research is Indonesia's success in implementing one of the pillars of the ASEAN Outlook Out the Indo-Pacific (AOIP), namely Indo-Pacific prosperity through inclusive and open cooperative dialogue in the fields of economics, connectivity and sustainable development through a forum formed under the name AIPF (ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum). Key to Startup Success in Indonesia: Analysing the Influence of Entrepreneurial Culture, Entrepreneurship Education, and Entrepreneurial Mindset

This research aims to develop a theoretical model of how factors affect startup development, in terms of entrepreneurial culture, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurial mindset. The theories used in this study are various factors that affect startup development. The research method used is qualitative with literature studies, theoretically analyzing theories and previous researchers and determining the main factors as predictors of building startups, with a comparison of various correlation results as the findings of this study. The results showed that entrepreneurial culture, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurial mindset affect the creation of young people's digital businesses. Entrepreneurial cultural factors include cultural values that influence the way young people think and act in creating startups. Entrepreneurship education factors with the right pedagogical approach will influence youth in creating startups. The entrepreneurial mindset factor includes the mindset and attitude of youth in facing challenges and opportunities in creating startups. Recommendations to future researchers to be able to examine the influence of other variables on creating startups both tested quantitatively and developed on a broader aspect of other variables.

Understanding Roblox's business model and collaborative learning on participation in the decision-making process: implications for enhancing cooperative literacy

This study examines the robust relationships between Roblox's business model, collaborative learning, participation in the decision-making process, and cooperative literacy within the Indonesian Roblox community. All hypotheses were substantiated, emphasizing the significance of understanding the business model, promoting collaborative learning, and encouraging active involvement in decision-making activities for fostering cooperative literacy among players. The research employed an exploratory research design with a quantitative approach. Sampling bias and self-reported data are acknowledged limitations, along with the cross-sectional design's inability to establish causality. To address these constraints, future research should employ longitudinal methods, diverse data collection approaches, and intervention studies. Cross-cultural research comparing the Indonesian Roblox community with other cultural contexts is also encouraged. Practical recommendations include integrating features that support collaborative learning and decision-making participation within the Roblox platform. Collaboration between educational institutions and Roblox to use the platform as an educational tool is suggested, offering students a unique opportunity to develop cooperative literacy skills. These findings offer valuable insights into cooperative literacy and community engagement within the Roblox ecosystem, providing a roadmap for its development. This research contributes to the platform's growth and success in Indonesia, making it a more cooperative and informed community.

Success in Indonesia Analyzed Through Price, Quality, Branding, Promotion, and Consumer Perception

The present research delves into the elements that influence the performance of private label businesses in Indonesia's Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) market. Specifically, it examines the interdependent aspects of pricing strategy, brand, promotion, and consumer perception. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a quantitative method, was utilized to examine the association between these factors utilizing a sample of 197 MSMEs. The findings provide important information for MSMEs trying to survive in the cutthroat market environment by demonstrating a strong and positive correlation between each component and private label performance. This research provides useful suggestions for enhancing private label tactics and expanding market share in Indonesia.

Geographical Factors and General Soedirman's Strategy in Second Dutch Military Aggression, 1948–1949

On December 19, 1948, Dutch military forces were able to capture major cities in Java and Sumatra but could not control rural areas or remote areas. It was their weakness, so General Soedirman used it to fight against the Dutch during the Second Military Aggression. This research aims to analyze the role of Indonesia's geographic conditions in General Soedirman's strategic achievement and its potential influence on Indonesia's defensive posture during the Second Dutch Military Aggression. The research method used in this article is qualitative, with a literature study approach of collecting information and conducting library research from books, historical documents, and journals. The results of the analysis show that the geographical characteristics of the Java region, which has a diverse landscape, provided ideal terrain for Soedirman's troops and became a driving force for Indonesia's success in facing the Dutch; this had the effect of exhausting the enemy and contributed to the military failure of the Dutch troops.

Information in organizations needs to be managed to gain a competitive advantage in competitions. E-commerce, one of the most prominent industries in Indonesia, has dynamic market conditions that frequently change requirements and recent layoffs, which can harm the companies if not correctly managed. Knowledge and information usually stored in a knowledge management system (KMS) are essential to negate this, and Agile software development methodologies can manage frequent requirement changes. However, a study about KMS's success in Agile teams, primarily e-commerce, needs to be conducted to know if KMS can help companies sustain their business in Indonesia. This research analyses the KMS success in Indonesia's e-commerce companies that use Agile as their software development methodologies. This study used a quantitative approach with 31 respondents who worked or previously worked in an e-commerce company in Indonesia, using Agile as software development methodologies and experienced using KMS daily. Data was processed and analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and SmartPLS tools. The results of this study indicate that KMS net benefits in Agile teams in E-commerce in Indonesia are influenced by the user's intentions to use and user satisfaction when using the KMS.

Rethinking domestic politics of Indonesian SSTC in Africa and paradox of MRLs education training

Indonesia attempted to use its foreign policy to address domestic and international objectives in its relations with other nations. Due to Indonesia's success in the 1955 AAC and involvement in the 1961 NAM, the country's administration used the SSTC mechanism to further local goals. Indonesia often offers Muslim Religious Leaders (MRLs) international reproductive health training to bring SSTC to African nations. Analysis of domestic politics and international aid used in this research. Using secondary data from literature studies, this research employs a qualitative explanatory case study methodology. In addition, triangulation analysis based on theory and Nvivo classification based on analysis of domestic politics and foreign aid are applied. This research found Indonesia tried to project itself as a nation that successfully and consistently implements and promotes family planning worldwide. However, various paradoxes exist in how Indonesian SSTC is implemented through MRLs activities. Indonesia has a high level of foreign debt, which goes against religious belief, and the notion that a large family is necessary for success is the opposite of the success of Indonesian SSTC.
