Efforts Of Islamic Boarding School Management To Improve The Life Skills Of Students At The Raudlatul Ulum 1 Putri Islamic Boarding School

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are regarded as vital educational institutions that play an important role in the progress and development of education. Additionally, they are considered alternative solutions for various educational challenges. This educational model, which focuses on religious studies, particularly Islam, has become a model and the precursor for the current educational system in Indonesia. Implementing life skills education within these institutions produces highly competitive students. With life skills training, they become more productive and capable of competing in the job market. The research questions are: (1) What efforts do the administrators of Pondok Pesantren make to enhance students' life skills? (2) What are the outcomes of these efforts? The objectives are: (1) To identify the efforts made by Pondok Pesantren administrators to enhance the life skills of students, and (2) To determine the results of these efforts. The findings indicate that instilling educational values in Islamic boarding schools through muhadhoroh (speeches) and extracurricular activities have a positive impact. The strategies used to instill Islamic educational values through muhadhoroh and extracurricular activities have proven effective. Analysis of the Readiness of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Implementing the Independent Curriculum in Middle Schools

This research aims to analyze the readiness of Islamic Religious Education teachers in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka at the Junior High School through a library research approach. Kurikulum Merdeka is the latest innovation in the Indonesian education system which focuses on flexible, innovative and student-centered learning. This research collected data from various secondary sources, including books, journal articles, research reports, and official documents related to the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka and the readiness of PAI teachers. The results of the analysis show that PAI teachers’ readiness in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka includes aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Then, in implementing differentiated learning in the Independent Curriculum, there are six main steps which will be explained in this article. The challenges in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka in PAI learning can be from internal and external factors such as school principals, PAI teachers and other education staff, facilities and infrastructure as well as the lack of optimal synergy and cooperation between related parties. This research provides recommendations for the development of more effective training programs and educational policies that support the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka as a whole.

Literature Review: Kinerja Guru Sebagai Sumber Daya Manusia Yang Strategis Dalam Sistem Pendidikan di Indonesia

Teachers are a key element in the education system, especially in schools. All other components, ranging from curriculum, infrastructure, costs, and so on will not mean much if teachers who hold strategic positions are unable to maximize their performance. The purpose of the literature review is to review how teachers perform as strategic human resources in the education system in Indonesia. Methods: The literature review was conducted based on issues, methodology, similarities and further research proposals. The 5 studies used were qualitative research methods. The results of the 5 studies showed that teacher performance as a strategic human resource in the Indonesian education system is strongly influenced by work motivation factors.

Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Pembiasaan Baik Profil Pelajar Pancasila Peserta Didik Fase B

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education through positive habits in Phase B students to develop the Pancasila Student Profile. The background of this research highlights the importance of character education in the Indonesian education system to cultivate a generation with noble character, responsibility, and national spirit. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted in an elementary school in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, direct observations, and document analysis related to character education programs. The results indicate that the program of positive habits, such as activities of mutual cooperation, discipline, and responsibility, has effectively shaped students' character in alignment with Pancasila values. Teachers play a crucial role as models and facilitators in this process. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of character education through positive habits can significantly support the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile, provided it is supported by the active involvement of all related parties, including teachers, parents, and the community.

Improving the Quality of Educators as a Factor in Renewing the Education System in Indonesia

In this day and age, the quality of educators is one of the factors in the education system, because in determining the quality of educators, the things that must be taken into account are personality and social competence. Quality educators must have a good personality, be authoritative, and be able to be a role model for students in terms of attitudes, behavior and positive values taught. This research uses a library research method. Literature review is a research activity that uses written sources as reference material to obtain information and data related to the topic being discussed. Sources of data and information are obtained from various literature such as books, articles, magazines, printed and online websites that are relevant to the discussion. The existence of good quality education can provide a reformed education system that has good quality for education in Indonesia in particular.

The RMS teaching model with brainstorming technique and student digital literacy as predictors of mathematical literacy

In the field of educational sciences, combining various research studies is essential for the development of key competencies such as digital and mathematical literacy. However, there is a research gap in understanding the challenges of implementing the Reading, Mind Mapping, and Sharing (RMS) teaching model in Indonesian schools, which requires a model customised for the unique context of the Indonesian education system. The objective of this research is to assess the impact of the RMS teaching model on students' digital and mathematical literacy. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, consisting of two experimental classes and one control class. The first experimental class used the RMS teaching model with brainstorming techniques. The second experimental class used the RMS teaching model without brainstorming. The control class followed standard instruction based on the school curriculum. During the even semester, a total of 96 secondary school students from two different schools in Bandar Lampung, a province in Indonesia, participated in both the experimental and control groups. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and a test. To analyse the data, Winstep and SPSS applications were used. The study's findings supported for the effectiveness of the RMS teaching model combined with the brainstorming method in enhancing students' mathematical literacy and digital literacy. Students who were taught this approach demonstrated higher mathematical literacy skills compared to those who received instruction using the RMS teaching model and direct instruction methods. This model can act as a guide for teachers to modify their approaches creating a captivating learning atmosphere that matches the requirements of students.

Pembelajaran Kreatif Tari Jaipong Tingkat Anak Usia Dini: Tinjauan pada Sanggar Kartika Chandra Kirana Bekasi

The education system in Indonesia consists of three important sub-systems: formal, informal and non-formal education. The main focus in this research is non-formal education, which has become an alternative for those who wish to explore their talents and interests outside the scope of formal education. This research highlights the significant role of dance studios as a form of non-formal education that has experienced rapid development in Indonesia, especially in big cities such as Bekasi. The Kartika Chandra Kirana dance studio is a type of non-formal education that has an important role in preserving Indonesian arts and culture, especially in the context of dance. The aim of learning dance at this studio is not only focused on developing technical skills, but also on understanding and appreciating cultural values ​​and can increase the creativity of young children. In the learning process, this studio applies various learning methods, including cooperative methods, peer tutoring, demonstrations, discussions and lectures. Students are also evaluated regularly, including through participation in the Jaipong Dance competition at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah every six months. Through these various learning and evaluation methods, students can develop their dance skills, increase self-confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian culture. In this way, Sanggar Kartika Chandra Kirana plays a role not only as a place for dance learning, but also as a forum for preserving and developing Indonesia's cultural heritage and forming students' character holistically.

Implementation of Pancasila Learner Profile-Based Attitude Assessment in Junior High School Civics Study Field Based on Phase D in the Independent Curriculum Era

Indonesia's education system is facing numerous challenges due to the rapid development of information and communication technology, resulting in students being perceived as less empathetic and less skilled in addressing social issues. The Pancasila Student Profile is a policy by the Ministry of Education and Culture within the Merdeka Curriculum to strengthen national character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Civics subjects, the attitude assessment models, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employs a qualitative approach, with the subjects including the principal, curriculum vice-secretary, Civics teachers, and students. Data collection is conducted through source and technique triangulation, while data analysis involves data reduction, data display, and data verification. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Civics Curriculum has altered the concepts and meanings outlined in the teaching module; learning and assessment are now an integrated unit; the material's scope is more comprehensive according to the learning outcomes of four key elements (Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Unity in Diversity, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia) in phase D. The assessment model in the Merdeka Curriculum encompasses cognitive (formative, summative) and psychomotor (projects, practice, products) assessments as a unified whole. Attitude assessment is based on the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) strengthening program, with the selection of dimensions tailored to the objectives, subject matter, and the P5 theme set by the school. Daily assessments are the basis for the Pancasila Learner Profile-based attitude report card. Supporting factors include the synergy of the school community in implementing P5, while obstacles include some teachers' lack of understanding of the indicators in the six elements and sub-elements of the Pancasila Learner Profile, with assessments still being manual and done in Excel.

The aim of this research is to analyze the relevance of the concept of Islamic education during the Khulafaurrasyidin period to Indonesian education. This type of research is a library study. Data collection with documentation. Data analysis with SLR. The research results The concept of Islamic education during the Khulafaurrasyidin era has strong relevance to education in Indonesia today, especially in terms of moral and ethical values ​​that are integrated into the education curriculum. During Khulafaurrasyidin's time, education did not only focus on mastering knowledge but also on character formation based on Islamic teachings, such as honesty, justice and social responsibility. These principles are reflected in the Indonesian education system which prioritizes the development of national character and the formation of individuals with integrity and noble character. By adopting these values, Indonesian education seeks to produce a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also moral and contributes positively to society.

Gender Representation in Education: Evidence from English National Tests in Indonesia

Gender representation in Indonesian school textbooks has been widely analysed. However, the compulsory national tests have lacked attention although these used to be a main tool to determine students’ competencies. This research aims to evaluate gender representation in the Indonesian Education System, especially in the national tests. Using content analysis, we examined both male and female representation in the Junior High School English national tests from 1994 to 2004. The findings reveal that the English national tests were content-valid tests. Before 1998, the tests reflected the patriarchal culture embraced by Indonesians during the New Order era. For example, female names were associated with feminine traits and the domestic sphere, while male names were associated with masculine traits and the public sphere. Meanwhile, the tests after 1998 indicated how female names were given more opportunities in the public sphere although male names still dominated the discussion on employment. This result is in line with the theoretical and practical implications, in which gender roles are represented based on the culture of the society.

THE QUALITY AND RELEVANCE OF LEARNING MATERIALS IN INDONESIAN TEXTBOOKS IN THE INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM CONTEXT: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS

The introduction of the Merdeka Curriculum as the latest innovation in the Indonesian education system marks a paradigmatic change that aims to provide greater opportunities for students to develop their potential holistically. In this context, the quality and relevance of Indonesian language textbooks are crucial in supporting the learning process. This study uses qualitative analysis to evaluate the quality and relevance of Indonesian language textbooks in the Merdeka Curriculum. The results of the analysis show significant differences between evaluation approaches in textbooks from various publishers. In addition, this study highlights the importance of diversity, inclusiveness and relevance of learning materials in textbooks. The findings confirm the importance of in-depth and objective assessment of Indonesian language textbooks to ensure they meet quality and relevance standards in supporting national education goals. With a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the textbooks in use, concrete steps can be taken to improve the quality of student learning and prepare them to face the challenges of an increasingly complex and dynamic world. The Existence of Islamic Education in the National Education System in Indonesia

Islamic education as a formal teaching material in Indonesia has experienced at least three phases, namely the first phase since the entry of Islam into Indonesia until the era of Islamic education reform in Indonesia, the second since the emergence of ideas for Islamic education reform, and the third since the creation of the National Education System Law (in 1989). This research aims to analyze the existence of Islamic education in the national education system in Indonesia. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data sources are quoted from credible pages such as Google Scholar and SINTA. Next, the data was analyzed and checked for validity through data triangulation. The results of this research conclude that Islamic education is recognized for its existence in the national education system, which is divided into three things. First, Islamic education as an institution, second, Islamic education as a subject, and third, Islamic education as a value.

THE PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES IN THE CONCEPT OF “PROFIL PELAJAR PANCASILA”

This research aims to identify and elaborate on the philosophical issues inherent in the concept of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (Pancasila Student Profile) as the epitome of human idealism in Pancasila intended for implementation through educational means in Indonesia. This matter holds significance for examination due to the Pancasila Student Profile serving as the ultimate destination or objective of the complete educational system in Indonesia. Philosophical scrutiny of this concept is imperative to ensure alignment between the Pancasila Student Profile and the notion of the Indonesian ideal individual in line with Pancasila’s principles. This investigation adopts a qualitative method to delve into philosophical quandaries within this domain. The data utilized in this research comprises literary works addressing the Pancasila Student Profile, which are then philosophically scrutinized based on four key attributes: radical, critical, systematic, and comprehensive. The findings of this study reveal a philosophical dilemma within the Pancasila Student concept, specifically the underrepresentation of two vital dimensions of human nature in Pancasila, namely materiality and individuality. Consequently, it is recommended that a reassessment and restructuring of the Pancasila Student Profile concept be undertaken to ensure the realization of the ideal human archetype of Pancasila without straying from the educational objectives outlined in Law No. 20 of 2003 regarding the National Education System.

How Jigsaw Worked in a Middle School Classroom for Enhancing Students’ Reading Comprehension

<p style="text-align:justify">Active learning has been a curriculum mandate in the Indonesian education system since the 1980s. Nonetheless, practical gaps existed, as evidenced by the dominance of teacher-centered instruction in public schools. The field needs research depicting how active learning works and enhances learning. Thus, we conducted a qualitative case study focusing on one method within active learning pedagogies: cooperative learning. Specifically, we examined how one of its techniques, i.e., Jigsaw, operated and optimized English as a foreign language (EFL) learners' reading comprehension. We involved one EFL teacher and her students in eighth grade. Data were gathered through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of instructional documents. Our data analysis revealed some missed steps in the teacher participants' lesson plans, specifically in the main learning activities sections that had the Jigsaw procedures. However, these activities were enacted in the actual classroom use. The teacher participant also modified her lessons to make Jigsaw more effective. Additionally, she tackled challenges that occurred during the process, especially in dealing with low levels of reading comprehension, unmotivated students, and limited time. For effective use of Jigsaw and considerations when making adjustments in classroom practice, we recommend that teachers understand cooperative learning principles and how they manifest in the procedures of the selected technique(s).</p>

Implementation of Post-Pandemic Learning Independence Culture in Elementary Schools

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the Indonesian education system, causing changes in students’ cultural learning patterns and decreased creativity. Schools are restructuring their learning culture to focus on students and adapt to the environment. Indonesian government education system law no. 20 of 2003 mandates cultural values, cultural acculturation, and fostering independent learning. Teachers play an important role in motivating students and implementing a culture of independent learning, which has a positive impact on their learning process. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing a culture of independence in learning at SD Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Islands Province. This research uses a phenomenological approach and qualitative methods to collect data and information from informants. The research aims to build a culture of independence, minimize teacher-student understanding and increase effective communication relationships between students. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru Central Bangka, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Data collection in qualitative research includes observation, interviews, and documentation and data can be taken from several sources. The analysis and sharpness of qualitative research is greatly influenced by the strength of the words and sentences used in the literature. The objects of the research were students at SD Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The results of the research show that at SD Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru, the focus on independent learning is emphasized through emotional intelligence, cultural habituation, and the character education system. The Pancasila learner profile emphasizes six dimensions: faith, piety, noble character, global diversity, and independence. Independent learning involves creating a study schedule, discussing with teachers, and applying critical reasoning skills. Constructivism theory encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving, thereby leading to increased motivation and academics success.

Student delinquency cannot be separated from the impact in science that is constructed on the pattern of subject-object relationships. Through the objectivity of the education system in Indonesia, goals, principles, social organizations, teaching methods, assessments, students, curriculum, facilities and funding, this relational pattern is rooted. Violence against children is no longer limited to the private sector, but extends to wider society. Schools are places where violence occurs in children and this is a concern that is often discussed. Not only teachers can commit violence against students, but fellow students themselves can also commit violence against children. Bullying is the form of violence most often perpetrated by female students, and physical violence, such as fighting and threats, is most often perpetrated by female students. There are four times when children are most likely to experience violence. During recess, after school, when changing classes, and when no one is in class. Most violent incidents occur outside the school environment, not within the school environment. One way to prevent bullying at school is to explain the causes of the problem by considering the function and role of education at home, school and society.

This research discusses the important role of basic education in national development, with the pressure of dissatisfaction between the education systems in developed countries and Indonesia. Drawing insights from superior education models in Finland, Japan and Singapore, this research aims to identify key factors that contribute to the success of these systems and recommendations that can be applied in the Indonesian context. Analysis focuses on curriculum development, teacher quality, technology integration, student-centered learning, and parent/community support. Developed countries prioritize curricula that emphasize 21st century skills, rigorous teacher selection, effective use of technology, student-focused learning, and strong parent/community involvement. By synthesizing the findings of this observational research, this study offers implementable insights for policy makers to improve the basic education system in Indonesia. These recommendations include curriculum reform, teacher training initiatives, technological infrastructure improvements, student-centered pedagogical approaches, and community engagement strategies. Ultimately, this research emphasizes the importance of learning from global best practices while considering Indonesia's unique cultural, social, and economic context to improve basic education nationally.

The Role of Teachers in Implementing the Independent Curriculum at Lokon St. Nicolaus Tomohon

This research aims to explore the role of teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum using a qualitative approach. The Merdeka Curriculum is a new initiative within the framework of Merdeka Belajar which aims to renew the education system in Indonesia. The main focus of the Merdeka Curriculum is to introduce a curriculum framework that is more flexible, oriented to the essence of the material, and develops students' character and competencies. This research focuses on teachers' experiences and practices in dealing with these curriculum changes. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The research subjects were teachers at Lokon St. Middle School. Nikolaus Tomohon, who has implemented the Independent Curriculum. Data were analyzed using a descriptive approach to identify the teacher's role in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning following the principles of the Independent Curriculum. Research findings show that teachers have a significant role in implementing the Independent Curriculum. They have adopted various learning strategies that are diverse, innovative, and creative in dealing with these curriculum changes. Apart from that, teachers also play an important role in facilitating student-centered learning, motivating students, and developing their character and competencies. This research contributes to the understanding of the role of teachers in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and provides insight for the development of more effective education policies. The practical implication of this research is the importance of support and development of teacher professionalism in facing curriculum changes. This research also provides a basis for further research on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the Indonesian education context.

Optimizing the Development of P5 Worksheets for Teachers: Shaping Student Character at SMAN 1 Terara, East Lombok Regency

Character education through the implementation of P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) is an important initiative in the Indonesian education system to form students with integrity and national insight. This research aims to optimize the development of the P5 Worksheet for teachers at SMAN 1 Terara, East Lombok Regency, with a focus on building student character. Evaluation is carried out based on the responses of training participants regarding various aspects of material delivery and the abilities of the presenters. The results showed that the majority of participants (50) strongly agreed that the material was delivered well, while 15 participants agreed. The delivery of P5 integration was considered interesting by 44 participants who strongly agreed and 21 participants who agreed. The material was considered easy to understand by 48 participants who strongly agreed and 17 participants who agreed. Apart from that, the presenters were considered capable of creating creativity in the participants, with 47 participants strongly agreeing and 18 participants agreeing. There were no participants who gave responses that disagreed or disagreed with all aspects assessed. Overall, the results of this research show that the development of the P5 Worksheet is effective in improving the quality of learning and shaping student character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile
