Participants will: 1) improve their understanding of the purpose and limits to neuropsychological reports, via a neuropsychologist-led review of redacted neuropsychological reports; 2) review the structure and purpose of 504 Plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and accommodations for children and adolescents with mental health disorders in order to improve child and adolescent psychiatrists’ skills in educating patients and families on special education procedures and rights; 3) obtain best-practice information on the importance of mental health secondary transition and IEP obligations in order to assist educators in facilitating postschool success; 4) review redacted IEPs and discuss pragmatic ways to establish communication and collaboration in order to create better IEP goals and advocacy to support students, including pandemic reengagement and culturally sensitive assessments; and 5) learn how to incorporate information from IEPs and neuropsychological reports into patient management.
