Picosecond Alexandrite Laser With Diffractive Lens Array Combined With Long-Pulse Alexandrite Laser for the Treatment of Facial Photoaging in Chinese Women: A Retrospective Study.

Facial photoaging is a type of facial skin aging induced mainly by exogenous factors (ultraviolet radiation) and often manifests itself in the form of hyperpigmentation, telangiectasia, roughness, increase in fine lines/wrinkles, and enlarged pores. Recently, picosecond lasers have become an emerging option for the treatment of facial photoaging, and long-pulse alexandrite lasers (LPAL) have demonstrated promising potential in the treatment of photoaging-related symptoms. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of picosecond alexandrite laser (PSAL) with diffractive lens array (DLA) combined with LPAL for facial photoaging. This is a retrospective study of 20 Chinese female patients with facial photoaging who received PSAL with DLA combined with LPAL during a 1-year period. All patients were treated every 4weeks for a total of three treatments. Objective indicators of facial photoaging and patient satisfaction were evaluated before each treatment, and pain scores and adverse effects were recorded after each treatment. Compared with baseline, patients showed significant differences in all facial photoaging indices (p<0.01). After receiving three treatments, there was a 20.1% decrease in the pigmentation index, a 23.9% decrease in the erythema index, a 34.5% decrease in the texture index, a 28.4% decrease in the fine lines index, a 56% decrease in the pore index, a 9.3% elevation and a 17.1% decrease in elasticity R2 and F4, respectively, and a 55% decrease in sebum content. The mean satisfaction score for the three treatments was 4.67 (3.33, 5.00), and the mean visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score was 7.00. No serious adverse effects such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), hypopigmentation, or blistering were observed at the treatment site during the treatment period. PSAL with DLA combined with LPAL for the treatment of facial photoaging with significant efficacy, high patient satisfaction, and minimal adverse effects.

Service Quality, Patient Satisfaction, and Improvement Indicators

The study delves into the intricate symbiotic relationship between service providers and customers, which becomes increasingly complex amid competitive landscapes. It counts on the service provider’s capability to deliver exceptional service that fosters a unique customer satisfaction that not only encourages repeat patronage but also prompts referrals to others. The study sought to determine the presence of a correlation between the quality of service delivered by medical staff and patients' satisfaction levels by using the SERVQUAL model with 22 slightly modified indicators spread across five service quality dimensions that include reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy, and responsiveness. The research was conducted within the confines of a hospital in Cebu. 314 patisents consented to participate in the data collection process. A survey was conducted to gather data on service delivery and another was conducted for patient satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis and Dublin-Watson test were used to compute correlations and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to compute the significance of difference. The following items are the findings. The five dimensions of service quality are above average and the service quality rating in its entirety was 3.756. Patient satisfaction was above average with a rating of 3.131. All the service quality dimensions were statistically correlated with patient satisfaction. Service quality in its entirety was statically correlated with patient satisfaction. There was a significant difference between service quality in its entirety and patient satisfaction. Finally, the ratings suggest that improvements were needed in all service dimensions, and because of high patient expectations improvements are both necessary and urgent.

Assessing multidisciplinary follow-up pattern efficiency and cost in follow-up care for patients in cervical spondylosis surgery: a non-randomized controlled study.

The use of multidisciplinary treatment programs in out-of-hospital healthcare is a new area of research. Little is known about the benefits of this method in the management of discharged patients undergoing cervical spondylosis surgery. This study aimed to explore the effect of a contracted-based, multidisciplinary follow-up plan in patients after cervical spondylosis surgery. This non-blinded non-randomized controlled study was conducted with 88 patients (44 in the intervention group, 44 in the control group). The clinical outcomes, including Neck Disability Index (NDI), pain score (VAS), Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-item Scale (SECD-6), and 12-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12) score were assessed at the time of discharge, 24-72 h, 1 month, and 3 months post-discharge. The complications, patient satisfaction, and economic indicators were assessed at the final follow-up (3 months). Patients who received contracted follow-up showed greater improvement in neck dysfunction at 24-72 h, 1 month, and 3 months after discharge compared to those who received routine follow-up (p < 0.001). At 1 month after discharge, the intervention group exhibited better self-efficacy (p = 0.001) and quality of life (p < 0.001) than the control group, and these improvements lasted for 3 months. The intervention group reported lower pain scores at 24-72 h and 1 month (p = 0.008; p = 0.026) compared to the control group. The incidence of complications was significantly lower in the intervention group (11.4%) compared to the control group (40.9%). The total satisfaction score was significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.001). Additionally, the intervention group had lower direct medical costs (p < 0.001), direct non-medical costs (p = 0.035), and total costs (p = 0.04) compared to the control group. However, there was no statistically significant difference in indirect costs between the two groups (p = 0.59). A multidisciplinary contract follow-up plan has significant advantages regarding neck disability, self-efficacy, quality of life, postoperative complications, patient satisfaction, and direct costs compared with routine follow-up.

A prospective analysis of the efficacy of phase II autologous skin grafting on deep second‑degree burns on the dorsum of the hand.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the possibility of reducing the damage to the donor site while preserving the functional recovery of the dorsum of the hand following burn injury. An attempt was made to analyze the effect of a phased surgery approach on inflammatory indicators. A two-phase treatment was administered on a total of 64 patients with deep second-degree burns on the dorsum of the hand who were admitted to Guangzhou Red Cross Hospital between January 2020 and March 2023. During phase I treatment, the wounds were covered with xenogeneic (porcine) skin, followed by the application of autologous thin intermediate thickness skin grafts for wound repair in phase II treatment 1 week later. The surgical results, complications, patient satisfaction and inflammatory response indicators were then analyzed. The mean wound healing time of these patients was found to be 21.94 days without complications. The mean survival rate was 98.66%, and the overall satisfaction score of the patients was high. Finally, the white blood cell, C-reactive protein and IL-6 levels of these patients were continuously decreased 2 days preoperatively and 2 days postoperatively in phase I, and 2 days preoperatively and 2 days postoperatively in phase II. In combination, the effect of phased autologous skin grafting in patients with severe second-degree burns on the dorsum of the hand was ideal, as it significantly reduced inflammatory response and was beneficial to the functional recovery of the hand. Therefore, phased autologous skin grafting is worthy of wider application.

Responsiveness of inpatient care and provision of dignity: Insights from a patient experience survey in Israel

The paper contributes to the literature on the responsiveness of care, patient dignity, and disparities in the provision of health services. It does so by evaluating indicators of patient responsiveness while focusing on aspects of dignified treatment. The data were taken from the Patient Experience Survey of General Public Hospitals conducted by the Israel Ministry of Health in 2018. The analysis focuses on two indicators of responsiveness (i.e., actual) and three indicators of patient satisfaction with responsiveness (i.e., satisfaction). The analysis reveals that variations of these indicators are associated with patients' sociodemographic attributes and the hospitals' characteristics. However, while the likelihood of the actual provision of responsive care tends to be lower for vulnerable patients, the satisfaction of vulnerable populations with responsiveness tends to be higher. The data also reveal that the likelihood of responsive treatment and patient satisfaction with this tends to be lower for patients hospitalized in smaller hospitals and hospitals located in the periphery. The findings and their meaning are discussed in the context of studies on responsiveness of care, health disparities, dignified treatment, and patient satisfaction with the provision of health services.

Grado de satisfacción de pacientes tratados estéticamente con enzimas recombinantes; experiencia clínica

Introduction. The recombinant enzymes, produced through biotechnological processes, have different medical applications. Recently, though poorly documented, they have been applied in aesthetic medicine to improve certain conditions that significantly affect patients' appearance, image, and quality of life. Objective. To document the use of recombinant enzymes in cosmetic dermatology regarding indicators of patient satisfaction with the procedure. Material and Methods. In this article, a series of cases have been brought together to document the use of recombinant enzymes in managing flaccidity and fat accumulation in certain facial and body areas, including measuring satisfaction with the results. Results. Two hundred twenty-nine cases from a Latin American multicenter trial were documented from private clinical practice using a standardized data collection format and a guide for clinical photography. Discussion. Our findings in 229 Latin American cases show a high grade of satisfaction in the management of double chin, jowl, abdominal flaccidity, and flaccidity in the limbs, as well as a good aesthetic outcome with the use of the combination of collagenase, hyaluronic-lyas, and lipase. Conclusions. The use of recombinant enzymes in managing the indications studied in clinical practice in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine, based on their effects on tissues, both on the face and the body, is highly satisfactory, and their results are well evaluated.

Factors Affecting Waiting Time of Patients Referred to Specialty Clinics from a Family Medicine Clinic in a Tertiary Government Hospital: A Retrospective Chart Review.

Waiting time of patients from a consult with a primary care physician to a specialist is poorly understood. It is one indicator of health service delivery and patient satisfaction. Patients consider waiting for a specialist consult for more than three months too long and unacceptable. To describe the sociodemographic and clinical factors associated with length of referral waiting time. Cross-sectional retrospective chart review of patient records in a tertiary government hospital from 2015 to 2019. A total of 366 charts were reviewed. Many of the patients referred to other specialty clinics were middle-aged adults and females. Median wait times for medical and surgical specialties were 11 (IQR: 0-29) and 18 (IQR: 6-35) days, respectively (p=0.003). Nutrition, rehabilitative medicine, and family health unit received the most number of referrals among non-surgical fields. Ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, and general surgery received the highest number of referrals among the surgical fields. Referral waiting times were longest for cardiology (median: 125, IQR: 91-275 days) and shortest for nutrition (median: 0, IQR: 0-6 days). Waiting times from a primary care clinic to a specialty clinic at a tertiary government hospital vary based on urgency, specialty clinic, purpose of referral, presence of comorbidities, and chronicity of condition. Clinical factors found to be significantly associated with referral waiting time include urgency, type of clinic, and purpose of referral.

Efficacy and safety of a telemedicine system in subjects with gestational diabetes mellitus (TELEGLAM): Study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

BackgroundStrict glycemic control is important to prevent perinatal complications in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Patients often require insulin injection, and frequent hospital visits are necessary to adjust the dose of insulin, which is considered burdensome for pregnant patients. Telemedicine may reduce the burden of hospital visits, and previous studies have reported its safety in GDM patients. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of telemedicine in GDM patients, focusing on patient satisfaction and health economic indicators. MethodsThis is a single-center, two-arm, randomized, open-label parallel-group study. Subjects will be selected from the patient population attending the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nephrology, Keio University School of Medicine, Japan. Patients diagnosed with GDM by an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) by 29 weeks and 6 days of gestation who have undergone self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) and insulin injection are eligible for inclusion. In the intervention group, telemedicine will be administered using the MeDaCa telemedicine system developed by the Medical Data Card, Inc., Tokyo, Japan. Subjects in the control group will be examined face-to-face every 2–3 weeks, as usual. We set health economic indicators and patient satisfaction as the primary endpoints, and will perform a cost-consequence analysis. Glycemic control indicators and perinatal outcomes will be evaluated as secondary endpoints. ConclusionsEligible patients are currently being recruited. Recruitment will be completed when the expected number of patients are enrolled.

A remote monitoring-enabled home exercise prescription for patients with interstitial lung disease at risk for exercise-induced desaturation

RationaleAlternatives to center-based pulmonary rehabilitation are needed to improve patient access to this important therapy. A critical challenge to overcome is how to maximize safety of unsupervised exercise for at-risk patients. We investigated if a novel remote monitoring-enabled mobile health (mHealth) program is safe, feasible, and effective for patients who experience exercise-induced hemoglobin desaturation. MethodsAn interstitial lung disease (ILD) commonly associated with pronounced exercise desaturation was investigated - the rare, female-predominant ILD lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Over a 12-week program, hemoglobin saturation (SpO2) was continuously recorded during all home exercise sessions. Intervention effects were assessed with 6-min walk test (6MWT), maximal cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET), lower extremity computerized dynamometry, pulmonary function tests, and health-related quality of life (QoL) surveys. Safety was assessed by blood biomarkers of systemic inflammation and cardiac wall stress, and incidence of adverse events. ResultsFifteen LAM patients enrolled and 14 completed the intervention, with high adherence to aerobic (87 ± 15%) and strength (87 ± 12%) training components. An innovative characterization of exercise training SpO2 revealed that while mild-to-moderate desaturation was common during home workouts, participants were able to self-adjust exercise intensity and supplemental oxygen levels to maintain recommended exercise parameters. Significant improvements included 6MWT distance (+36 ± 34 m, p = 0.003), CPET time (p = 0.04), muscular endurance (p = 0.008), QoL (p = 0.009 to 0.03), and fatigue (p = 0.001 to 0.03). Patient acceptability and satisfaction indicators were high, blood biomarkers remained stable (p > 0.05), and no study-related adverse events occurred. ConclusionA remote monitoring-enabled home exercise program is a safe, feasible, and effective approach even for patients who experience exercise desaturation.

Patient Satisfaction inMilitary Dental Clinics-Findings From the Department ofDefense Dental Patient Satisfaction Survey.

An objective of the Military Health System is to deliver an improved health care experience. Patient satisfaction affects the patient experience, health outcomes, and treatment compliance. The purpose of this study is to identify indicators of high and low patient satisfaction within a military dental setting. De-identified data from 248,342 responses to the DoD Dental Patient Satisfaction Survey conducted from October 2014 to March 2016 were used. The overall satisfaction and other related outcomes were analyzed by age, sex, beneficiary status, current rank, current Service, type of dental treatment, clinic location, and clinic size. Unpaired t-tests and logistic regression modeling were used to ascertain relationships between various aspects of patient satisfaction and variables of interest. Overall, 96% of patients attending military dental clinics were satisfied, whereas 72% of patients were satisfied with the number of days waited for an appointment. Air Force patients were the most satisfied compared to their Army, Navy, and Marine Corps counterparts. Patients treated in small dental clinics (less than 5 dentists) were 74% more satisfied than patients treated at large dental clinics (more than 12 dentists). Patients seeking routine dental treatment were significantly more satisfied with the number of days waiting for an appointment (odds ratio = 8.03; 95% CI: 7.64-8.43) compared to patients waiting for an emergency dental appointment. There were important differences in patient satisfaction by military Service and clinic size, suggesting that improvement in satisfaction may need to be Service specific. These differences warrant further research that could inform policy changes directed at improving service members' dental care and readiness.

The Comparative Analysis of Inpatient Service at Public Hospitals and Private Hospitals in Order to Improve Patient Satisfication : A Literature Review

Indicators of patient satisfaction in providing quality health services are measured based on the main dimensions of quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible. The five aspects of the quality dimension have not been applied to hospital inpatients, this is shown from data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2018 that 60% of hospitals in Indonesia have not met the needs of efficient services and have not implemented acceptable and affordable service standards. The research method used in this research is a literature review study, by collecting several articles using online search sources through Google Scholar and journal databases, such as PubMed, Elsevier, and DOAJ. The results of the literature review of 8 articles show that private hospitals almost entirely perform better than public hospitals in all five dimensions, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. However, the assessment also depends on the public and private hospitals where the researcher conducted the study. These dimensions of service quality are considered very important for healthcare facilities to improve patient satisfaction and provide optimal care in both public and private hospitals.

The currently relevant value-based healthcare model (Value-Based Healthcare) is more focused on ensuring long-term effectiveness and patient satisfaction, which is directly related to the implementation of the principles of patient-oriented and patient-centered activities [1]. In accordance with the Proposals (practical recommendations) on the organization of internal quality control and safety of medical activities in a medical organization (hospital) of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Institute of Quality” of Roszdravnadzor, compliance with the principles of patient-centered medical care provides for the development and implementation at the level of a medical organization of a patient safety strategy, including compliance with ethical standards and rules in the implementation of medical care activities. This also includes the procedure for organizing feedback with patients [15]. The use of information technologies in patient questionnaires and analysis of results allows for operational monitoring of patient satisfaction indicators and to create a basis for assessing most aspects of hospital activities from the perspective of patients: the quality of medical services and their results, interaction with staff, infrastructure and service components. The purpose of the study is to provide the results of the implementation of the author’s information and analytical system for collecting and processing information about patient satisfaction through an electronic web questionnaire and providing the calculation of satisfaction indicators in a multidisciplinary hospital. M a t e r i a l s a n d m e t h o d s . The basis of the study was a multidisciplinary hospital of the state budgetary healthcare institution “Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2” in Vladivostok. Within the framework of the study, the inpatient patients were surveyed using questionnaires in electronic form prepared by a medical organization, an information and analytical system was developed to conduct a mathematical analysis of the results of the survey according to five criteria for assessing the quality of medical care conditions. The study used a questionnaire including 20 questions, the answers to which express the opinion of patients about the quality of work of doctors and nursing staff, the comfort of the conditions of stay in the emergency department, as well as in the hospital during hospitalization. The questionnaire was developed in 2015, and for many years the survey was conducted using paper and manual calculations. But since 2021, patient questionnaires and analysis of the collected data have been transferred to an electronic format. In this article we present the results obtained with the help of an information system for collecting and analyzing questionnaires, in which adult patients of a round-the-clock hospital participated. R e s u l t s . The use of information technologies in patient questionnaires and analysis of results allows for operational monitoring of patient satisfaction indicators and to create a basis for assessing a number of aspects of hospital activity from the perspective of patients: the quality of medical services and their results, interaction with staff, infrastructure and service components make it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of measures to ensure comfortable conditions for the patient’s stay and can be used in practical healthcare to organize measures to eliminate defects and make decisions on the management of a medical organization. C o n c l u s i o n s . The introduction of additional methods for studying patient satisfaction using electronic forms, taking into account the specifics of the work of a medical organization to the requirements established by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of interaction with patients and can be one of the tools for assessing the social effectiveness of a medical organization (hospital).

Analysis of Value Dimensions in Public Satisfaction with Primary Health Care: Prospective Observational Study

Background. Artificial neural network models can be used to analyze and predict structural components within the value dimension of the main processes in an outpatient clinic as indicators of patient satisfaction.Objective — to form and test the methodology for analyzing and predicting structural components within the value dimension of the main processes in an outpatient clinic, as indicators of patient satisfaction with availability and quality of medical care, using artificial intelligence.Methods. The results of questionnaires administered to 525 patients were used to analyze their satisfaction with GP appointments. A network ensemble consisting of radial basis network and multilayer perceptron was chosen as the basis for a neural network model. The model testing involved five outpatient clinics in Kirov. The total number of respondents comprised 217 patients. Statistical processing included data description and analysis. Qualitative attributes were represented by relative values (P, %). The statistical significance of differences in qualitative data was assessed using the Chi-square test. The correlation between the observed and predicted data was assessed by means of nonparametric Spearman correlation analysis. The value of p &lt;0.05 was chosen as the significance level ( p). Statistical data processing was performed using Statistica 13.0.Results. Analysis of the value dimensions of satisfaction showed a predominance of “pre-appointment” stage: work of a registrar (85.29% significance in the receiving medical services), waiting time for an appointment with a doctor (66.76% respondents noted its significance), duration of waiting directly at the office (important for 69.11% of respondents). “Appointment” stage was formed according to the common procedure of a GP appointment (interview, examination, recommendations) and was assessed from the value perspective of the patient. The priority components included sufficiency of appointment duration (significant in 88.27% of cases), satisfaction with examination (significant in 85.14% of cases), as well as completeness and informativeness of consultation (significant in 89.9% of cases). A strong direct correlation between the observed and predicted data (ρxy = 0.9; p &lt; 0.05) was found out. Statistically significant differences between the observed and predicted levels of general patient satisfaction were not revealed in all medical organizations.Conclusion. The suggested neural network models can be used as the basis when creating information management systems that monitor meeting the effectiveness criteria for a new model of a medical organization; as well as an essential support for administrative decisions related to organizing the optimal patient management.

Understanding the factors of patient and parent satisfaction can aid in health care delivery. The aim of this study was to identify key indicators of patient and parent satisfaction with pediatric urology telemedicine visits. METHODS: We conducted a prospective cross-sectional survey of all patients evaluated with a telehealth visit from October 2021 - April 2022. We included all consecutive patients aged 0-18 years who received an outpatient pediatric urology telehealth visit. All patients received an 8-question patient/parent reported outcome (PRO) survey via email within 30 days of the visit, including 5 satisfaction questions regarding various aspects of telemedicine rated on a scale of 1-5. Statistical analysis was performed using Pearson correlation, Mann-Whitney U, and Chi Squared tests, with p<0.05 considered significant. RESULTS: A total of 1213 patients completed a telehealth visit, of which 83 (7%) completed the PRO survey. Visit type included 40 (48%) post-operative, 29 (35%) follow-up, and 14 (17%) new consults. From the survey responses, 84% reported time savings, 31% reported money savings, 30% avoided time away from work, and 27% of children avoided missing school. No technical issues were experienced in 86% of the visits. Satisfaction with telehealth was highest for the post-operative patient, 4.8/5 after orchiopexy and 4.4/5 after circumcision. Patients saved a median travel distance of 22 miles [IQR: 15-41]. Patients living farther than 22 miles had higher satisfaction scores in terms of simplicity and preference to in-person visits compared to those who lived closer (p=0.019). Patients living in zip codes below the median household income had significantly higher satisfaction scores (p=0.032). Patients with public health insurance had significantly higher overall satisfaction scores compared to those with private health insurance (p=0.022). There was no difference in satisfaction based on parent age or whether the patient was evaluated for a new, follow-up, or post-operative video visit. CONCLUSIONS: Children and their caregivers were satisfied with pediatric urology telehealth visits when seen as a new, follow-up, or post-operative patient. Indicators for satisfaction may include long travel distance to the clinic, lower than median household income zip codes, and public health insurance. Appropriate use of telehealth may provide better access to care and optimize healthcare delivery. Patient satisfaction plays an important role in improving patient behavior from care, reducing healthcare costs, and improving outcomes. However, since patient satisfaction is a multidimensional concept, it remains unclear which factors are the key indicators of patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to verify whether and how patients' psychosocial perceptions of physicians influenced patient satisfaction. In China, 2,256 patients were surveyed on stereotypes of physicians, institutional trust, humanized perception, and communication skills, as well as patient expectations and patient satisfaction. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Stereotypes, institutional trust, and humanized perception have an indirect effect on patient satisfaction through communication, and patient expectations have a direct effect on patient satisfaction. "Patient-centered" communication is the key to improving patient satisfaction, while positive stereotypes at the societal level, standardization of organizational institutions, expression of the doctor's view of humanity in the doctor-patient interaction, and reasonable guidance of patient expectations are important for improving patient satisfaction.

Early laser treatment of local complications after surgical blepharoplasty

Purpose of the study: to evaluate the effectiveness of early laser treatment of various types of local complications after surgical blepharoplasty based on the dynamics of the clinical picture and outcome, as well as patient satisfaction indicators according to FACE-Q.Material and methods. The study involved 24 patients with various types of local postoperative complications: scars with a tendency to hypertrophic growth (5 cases), inversion of the lower eyelid (4), seroma with undetected ligature fragments (2), aseptic inflammation of soft tissues of unknown genesis (2), neoangiogenesis in the eyelid area (3), extensive hemorrhages in the surgical intervention area (8 cases). Treatment was started on the day of the patient's treatment when the fact of the complication was established. The treatment was performed using the MultilineTM laser multiplatform using the Nd:YAP/KTP vascular laser with a combination of two wavelengths of 540 and 1079 nm and/or the Er:YAG, 2940 nm laser with SMA technology. The choice of the type of laser radiation and the interval between sessions were determined by the nature of the complication. Patients' satisfaction with the results of treatment was determined by the FACE-Q questionnaire.Results. The results of treatment by evaluators were determined as excellent in 19 patients (79.2%) and good in 5 patients (20.8%). The outcome of the resolution of complications in all patients was a thin, flat, inconspicuous scar, persistent defects requiring additional correction were not observed. During 6 months of follow-up, the dynamics of FACE-Q indicators after laser treatment of complications showed a statistically significant improvement on all assessed scales: the general appearance of the eye, the outcome of the operation performed, the severity of side effects, psychological stress, social adaptation.Conclusion. Laser treatment of postoperative complications of blepharoplasty allows improving the aesthetic result of the operation and restoring the psychoemotional state of the patient.

Integration of art and technology in personalized radiation oncology care: Experiences, evidence, and perspectives.

Cancer diagnoses expose patients to traumatic stress, sudden changes in daily life, changes in the body and autonomy, with even long-term consequences, and in some cases, to come to terms with the end-of-life. Furthermore, rising survival rates underline that the need for interventions for emotional wellbeing is in growing demand by patients and survivors. Cancer patients frequently have compliance problems, difficulties during treatment, stress, or challenges in implementing healthy behaviors. This scenario was highlighted during the COVID-19 emergency. These issues often do not reach the clinical attention of dedicated professionals and could also become a source of stress or burnout for professionals. So, these consequences are evident on individual, interpersonal, and health system levels. Oncology services have increasingly sought to provide value-based health care, considering resources invested, with implications for service delivery and related financing mechanisms. Value-based health care can improve patient outcomes, often revealed by patient outcome measures while seeking balance with economical budgets. The paper aims to show the Gemelli Advanced Radiation Therapy (ART) experience of personalizing the patients' care pathway through interventions based on technologies and art, the personalized approach to cancer patients and their role as "co-stars" in treatment care. The paper describes the vision, experiences, and evidence that have guided clinical choices involving patients and professionals in a co-constructed therapeutic pathway. We will explore this approach by describing: the various initiatives already implemented and prospects, with particular attention to the economic sustainability of the paths proposed to patients; the several pathways of personalized care, both from the patient's and healthcare professional perspective, that put the person's experience at the Gemelli ART Center. The patient's satisfaction with the treatment and economic outcomes have been considered. The experiences and future perspectives described in the manuscript will focus on the value of people's experiences and patient satisfaction indicators, patients, staff, and the healthcare organization.

Analysis of the Quality of Inpatient Health Services at Medan Haji General Hospital

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Currently the hospital is innovating to increase the level of patient satisfaction indicators which are still a problem in the quality of health services. The purpose of this research is to raise issues related to the quality of inpatient services at RSU Haji Medan. The method used is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional study design, namely through a sample of 189 people taken from 9818 populations through calculations using a categorical descriptive formula and drawn by purposive sampling, data collection is carried out based on direct interviews using a questionnaire instrument adopted from RISKESNAS Ministry of Health of the Republic Indonesia, after the survey was conducted, the data were analyzed by means of frequency and central distribution, statistical tests using the Spearman rho correlation, multiple linear regression. The results showed that the average patient was still in the dissatisfied category (mean = 150.79), the Spearman rho test stated that there was a relationship of all variables with the quality of inpatient health services p &amp;lt;0.05 with the highest correlation direction of 0.540 in the fairly strong category , Partially patient satisfaction has a value of t = 3.442 and has a coefficient value of 0.201, if there is an increase in patient satisfaction of 0.1%, the quality of inpatient health services will improve by 20.1%. This study concludes that constantly at 13.6% and simultaneously (F=34.835) influences the quality of inpatient health services, leaders and health human resources work together to build even better health services to improve service quality.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Keywords: Correlation, Hospital, Linear, Quality, Service&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Caring Perawat Mempengaruhi Kepuasan Pasien di Instalasi Rawat Inap

Nurse caring behavior is the core or focus in nursing as a form of professional nursing practice and caring behavior is an indicator of patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nurse caring to the level of patient satisfaction in the inpatient room at Hermina Galaxy Hospital. This study uses quantitative methods. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with a sample of 50 respondents who were in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that 32 respondents said caring nurses were good, 19 respondents were satisfied and 13 respondents were dissatisfied. Of the 18 respondents who said that nurse caring was lacking, 7 respondents were satisfied and 11 respondents were dissatisfied. Correlation test results obtained an r value of 0.494 and a p value of 0.000, the conclusion of these results is that the relationship between nurse caring and patient satisfaction shows a positive relationship and has a positive pattern, meaning that the higher the nurse's caring, the higher the level of patient satisfaction. There is a relationship between nurse caring and patient satisfaction in the inpatient room at Hermina Galaxy Hospital.

SATISFACTION OF PATIENTS AND EMPLOYEES AT TILANGO PUSKESMAS, GORONTALO REGENCY

AbstractTilango Public Health Center is an inpatient health center that is located far from trans road access, so it can be a factor in the lack of patient visits. In addition, the number of employees in the inpatient unit of the Tilango Health Center is more midwives than nurses, and even doctors are only on-call (not permanent), so many people are still dissatisfied with the services of the Tilango Health Center. The purpose of the study was to determine the satisfaction of patients and employees at the Tilango Public Health Center, Gorontalo Regency. This research is included in descriptive observational research. The population is all patients and employees of the Tilango Public Health Center, totaling 43 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling so that the number of samples is the same as the total population. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument. The data were analyzed descriptively and then narrated. The results showed that the performance of the inpatient unit at Tilango Health Center was viewed from the customer's perspective, with indicators of patient satisfaction categorized as satisfied (93.34%), while the performance of the inpatient unit at Tilango Health Center viewed from a learning perspective with employee satisfaction indicators categorized as less satisfied (26.0%). The novelty in this study is the measurement of the level of patient and employee satisfaction measured using qualitative research methods. It is recommended that the Tilango Health Center be able to improve performance and add a health service innovation process.Keywords: Satisfaction; Patients, Employees; Public Health CenterÂ
