The Moderator Effect of Cyberloafing on Workload and Employee Performance

Multi-finance companies require technology to carry out their business activities. However, its employees are prone to cyberloafing. In addition, a high workload can also affect the performance of employees. This study aimed to analyze the impact of cyberloafing and workload on the performance of multi-finance companies in Palembang. Data were collected through questionnaires. The sample in this study was company employees at multi-finance companies in Palembang. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression statistical methods. The results of this study were expected to provide a broader understanding of the impact of cyberloafing and workload on the performance of multi-finance company employees in Palembang. The results of this study were also expected to provide insight to managers and organizational leaders in developing effective strategies to overcome cyberloafing problems and minimize employee workload to improve their performance. This research can also provide input to companies to optimize the use of technology and efficient division of workload in the workplace to increase employee productivity. The Influence of Work Discipline and Work Environment on Employee Work Productivity at the Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru

This research aims to analyze the influence of work dicipline and employee work environment at the Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru. The research method used is quantitative. The sample for this research was 32 employees with data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed through linear regression analysis with the SPSS program. The research results show; (1) There is a significant influence of work discipline on employee work productivity at the Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru. The obtained tcount value > ttable or 8.361 > 1,697 with a significance of 0,000 < 0,05. The results of simple linear regression analysis show that if work discipline increases by 0,403, it will increase the work productivity of Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru employees by 7,211 constantly. (2) There is a significant influence of the work environment on employee work productivity at Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru. The work environment variable has a calculated tcount value > ttable or 6,873 > 1,697 with a significance of 0,000 < 0,05. The results of simple linear regression analysis show that if the work environment increases by 0,757, it will increase employee productivity at Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru by 5,085 constantly. (3) There is an influence of work discipline and work environment on employee work productivity at the Mona Plaza Hotel Pekanbaru. From the results of the F test, it is known that the value of Fcount > Ftable is 42,988 > 3,32 with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05.

Analysis of factors affecting employee productivity

Purpose-Internal and external factors can affect employee productivity. This study examined the relationship between occupational health, safety, and work environment, which is thought to affect employee productivity. Design/Methodology/Approach-The study population focused on the employees of the Semen Merah Putih Branch Company. The research data was collected through questionnaires administered to all employees, totaling 47 respondents. The research data were then processed using SPSS. Findings-Occupational health, safety, and working conditions all had a favorable impact on employee productivity. That is, when workplace support systems and occupational health and safety policies are implemented as effectively as possible, productivity at work will rise, thereby enhancing company performance. Research limitations/implications-Every business actor needs to focus on optimizing occupational health and safety to encourage increased employee productivity. To support this, business actors must also pay attention to other factors, such as creating a comfortable and safe work environment, to maximize efforts to achieve employee productivity. Originality/value-Currently, there is a dearth of research on employee productivity, especially for companies engaged in the industry. Previous studies of employee productivity have examined the internal and external aspects of employees, such as motivation, leadership, and organizational culture.

Productive Innovation or Disruptive Irritation: An Exploration of Stakeholder Perspective on Remote Work in the Institutes of Higher learning in Zimbabwe (A Case of Midlands State University)

Objective: The major objective of this study was to establish whether remote work was yielding positive results in the Institutions of higher learning. In order to achieve the major objective, the study explored the advantages of remote work and the challenges that are associated with remote work. Furthermore, the study explored some intervention mechanisms that may be can be implemented to support remote work. Method: In order to achieve the research objectives, the study adopted the qualitative study, using a case study design. Convenience sampling methods was adopted to come up with a sample of 45 participants that would be interviewed. Face to face interviews were conducted using semi-structured interviews. Result: After data collection and analysis, the study results showed that remote work enables employee flexibility, employee autonomy, increased employee productivity as well as cost savings. The results of the study also showed that remote work also comes with its own challenges such as isolation, role conflict and technological challenges. Furthermore, the study found that there are some intervention mechanisms that can be employed to support remote working in the institutions of higher learning. The intervention mechanisms include training, technological infrastructure, data access and mental health care. Conclusion: Conclusions from the study indicate that remote work is viable and beneficial at MSU. However, the study also established that remote work has its own challenges. The study concluded that the challenges can be mitigated by some intervention mechanisms.

Analysis Of Work Motivation In Increasing Employee Productivity At PT PLN (Persero) ULTG Panakkukang

This study aims to analyze work motivation in increasing employee productivity at PT PLN (Persero) ULTG Panakkukang. This type of research is qualitative with data collection techniques used through observation and interviews. The object of this research is the manager and employees of PT PLN (Persero) ULTG Panakkukang, totaling 5 informants. The results of the research that can be written show that employees of PT PLN (Persero) ULTG Panakkukang are less motivated at work which has an impact on employee work productivity. This can be seen from the lack of encouragement in the form of incentives such as awards given by the company, employees feel the work given and the awards received are not balanced. The condition of the work environment that makes the lack of comfort of employees at work, because of the interaction between employees who are less harmonious and good communication so that employees are busy with their respective activities such as playing cellphones. Physical needs such as office facilities that still need attention such as office chairs and tables that have not been updated, office ac that has not been repaired, and this has an impact on the level of employee work motivation.

Implementation of motivation to increase employee work productivity at the Paketzentrum Ludwigsfelde DHL Berlin, Germany

This study aims to analyse what factors cause the need for work motivation in increasing the work productivity of Ludwigsfelde DHL Paketzentrum DHL Berlin, Germany employees. The research method used is field research with qualitative descriptive methods. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Then, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of this study show that: 1) 2 factors cause the need for work motivation in increasing employee productivity, namely internal factors, namely meeting needs and skills and knowledge, then external factors, namely the relationship between superiors and subordinates, working environment conditions and active customers. In Islam, work motivation can motivate you to work and earn a halal living. 2) The value of motivation in increasing employee productivity includes honesty and trust, patience and effort, work ethic, responsibility and skill. In the Islamic view, motivation can lead to good values for employees. 3) The realisation of work motivation has been implemented to increase employee productivity, which can increase morale and income and make employees more productive.

How e-human resource management can increase employee productivity in F&B in Batam

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of E-Human Resource Management (E-HRM) had on Batam’s F&B productivity. Research methodology: A total of 395 respondents were included in the study. Four populations were used in this study, namely Starbucks, McDonalds, Mixue, and KFC, located in Batam City, Riau Islands, Brazil. The obtained data were processed using the PLS SEM application. Results: The results suggest that the implementation of E-HRM has a significant positive impact on employee productivity in the F&B companies studied. Limitations: There are many limitations when conducting this study due to difficulties in collecting data, information, and respondents at KFC, Mixue, Starbucks, and McDonalds. This causes this research to be suboptimal because the company maintains its data privacy. Therefore, this study only obtained respondent data internally. Then, with limited time, the time to distribute questionnaires to respondents was very short. Contribution: This research provides a deep understanding of the importance of implementing E-HRM (E-Job Analysis, E-Training & Development, E-Performance Appraisal, E-Recruitment, and E-Communication) in increasing employee productivity in F&B companies in Batam City. The results show that e-HRM has a positive impact on Behavioral Intention, which contributes to increased employee productivity.

THE IMPACT OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF THE PASTRY DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES AT THE APURVA KEMPINSKI BALI

This research aims to analyze the impact of the work environment on employees in the Pastry Department of The Apurva Kempinski, Bali. A good work environment has been recognized as essential in increasing employee productivity. Employee productivity is a critical element in achieving organizational success. Therefore, companies often strive to create a conducive work environment to improve the quality of employee work. The research method used is descriptive and causal, with various data analysis techniques, including correlation tests, determination tests, and linear regression analysis. The analysis results show a robust positive relationship between the work environment and employee productivity, with a correlation coefficient of 0.732. These findings indicate that improving the work environment can positively impact employee productivity. This study provides an essential contribution to understanding the importance of a conducive work environment in increasing employee productivity in the hotel industry. Recommendations are recommended for similar companies to pay attention to and improve the work environment to increase employee productivity.

The Impact of Quality Assurance Practices on Employee Productivity in the Apparel Sector in Sri Lanka: Special Reference to Three Leading Apparel Manufacturers in Sri Lanka

The purpose of this research is to measure the impact of quality assurance practices on employee productivity in the apparel sector in Sri Lanka. In doing so, it is expected to minimize the quality assurance failures and increase employee productivity in the Apparel industry whilst applying quality standards on production. The research is designed as a quantitative study and a sample of 300 participants from three apparel companies is selected through the simple random sampling technique. Data collection was performed through a questionnaire survey. Mean value of variables and multiple linear regression model with forward regression technique are used to analyze the responses and determine the relationship among variables. The questionnaire is checked for validity and reliability. The results reveal that quality assurance practices of six sigma, 5S, and total quality management have a significant positive impact on employee productivity, but benchmarking has an insignificant negative impact on employee productivity. The managers can provide training to employees to achieve positive outcomes of quality assurance practices. Self-accountability can be improved by allocating employee time for work and social networking. Optimizing the organization’s working conditions can be arranged based on infrastructure, ventilation, and minimal disturbances to motivate employees to be more productive. Quality assurance practices explored in this study contribute to providing flexibility and more opportunities for workers and addressing the role conflicts with strong impacts on the employee wellbeing. Do paid maternity leave mandates affect corporate cash holdings?

This study examines whether paid maternity leave laws affect corporate cash holdings. Using a difference-in-differences approach, we find the staggered introduction of these laws significantly reduce firm cash reserves, especially in labor-intensive industries. Further analysis indicates that increased employee productivity post-adoption associates with declining cash holdings, representing a channel linking these laws to precautionary savings motives.

The results of the analysis are that leadership and corporate social responsibility have a positive and significant impact on Talent Retention. A company with a good leadership style will influence employees' decisions to stay in the company. Companies that have a good CSR program will also influence employees' decisions to stay with the company because a good CSR program will have a positive impact and help increase employee productivity, skills and motivation so that the company's talent retention will also increase. The advice that can be given is that companies must have a good leadership style and CSR program so that the company's talent retention can run well.

Utilization of Colonial Buildings into Business Houses in Semarang

Colonial buildings that still survive today are the main attraction because they have high characteristics and historical value. Colonial buildings are one of the cultural heritage that need to be maintained. The existence of colonial residential buildings must be maintained and utilized commercially as one of the solutions to survive. Maintenance of old colonial buildings is not easy, it needs to be quite expensive due to the age of the building and the need for rejuvenation. Heirs or owners of colonial buildings must maximize the building commercially, one of which is on the building on Jalan Beringin Sekayu Semarang by making it a business house. This colonial building has not yet entered the cultural heritage building. Still, it has the potential to enter the cultural heritage building in the future judging from the history and appearance of the building's façade.
 The use of colonial residential buildings in business houses needs careful adjustment and arrangement because of the existence of 2 different functions. Residential houses are private zones that require the privacy of homeowners and their families, while business premises are public zones that can be accessed publicly and must reflect professionalism to be trusted by clients and must increase employee productivity. Comfort as a home and professionalism in a place of business are not easy to do without good planning. Planning must not change the total face of the building so that the historical value of the cultural heritage is not lost. Spatial adjustments must also be made by considering aspects of function, comfort, and professionalism. Without good planning, colonial buildings that have historical value, and cultural heritage characteristics will be lost and buildings cannot function properly with disruption of activities as residences and places of business. 
 The research was conducted with descriptive qualitative research methods through field observation, interviews, and literature studies. Research needs to be done so that colonial buildings can survive as cultural heritage and be used properly with adjustments due to their function as a residence as well as a place of business. The results of the study can describe the changes or adaptations that occur due to the use of colonial buildings of residential houses in places of business. These changes and adaptations include the appearance of the façade, zoning area, and circulation.

Implementation of Job Training Program on Employee Performance at PT Worldwhite Enterprise Brand Prepp Studio

This research discusses the implementation of job training programs on employee performance at PT World White Enterprise Brand Prepp Studio, a company operating in the creative industry. The main focus of this research is to analyze the effectiveness and impact of the training program that has been implemented by the company in improving employee skills and performance. This research methodology includes analysis related to training sourced from several previous studies. The research results show that the training program has made a positive contribution to increasing employee productivity and competency. With this program, employees are able to face work demands more efficiently and have a positive impact on the company's production results. In addition, this research also evaluates employee responses and perceptions of the training program, which can be a basis for improving and developing the program in the future. The implications of these findings can help PT World White Enterprise Brand Prepp Studio and similar companies to design more effective training programs, in accordance with industry needs and developments. This study provides insight into the importance of investing in human resource development to achieve competitive advantage in a dynamic business environment.

Application of Rapid Application Development Method in Designing a Knowledge Management System to Improve Employee Performance in National Construction Company

This research aims to learn how to create and implement a web-based knowledge management system to enhance worker productivity. This study uses literature reviews, interviews, and observation to collect data. The system development methodology used in the research was called Rapid Application Development (RAD). The study's findings suggest that knowledge management and documentation have significantly benefited from this research. The employee knowledge documentation process can be centrally and methodically recorded thanks to implementing the knowledge management system (KMS) used in this study. This improves the efficiency of the time spent conducting knowledge searches. The findings of this study allow staff members to log into the system directly. This technology will enable employees to organize, store, and transfer knowledge effectively. In line with the established key performance indicators (KPIs), having a knowledge management system improves employee performance overall. Employees can access knowledge from anywhere with flexibility when a web-based knowledge management system is implemented, thanks to MySQL database storage and PHP programming. Workers have access to and can contribute to the organization's information, which encourages high flexibility and supports worker mobility. In general, it is intended that the creation of this knowledge management system will serve as a valuable means of advancing knowledge management. Implementing this system is expected to increase employee productivity and performance while optimizing the use of knowledge owned by the company.

The Influence of Work Empowerment and Motivation on Increasing Work Productivity Employees (Study on Pt. Bank Bengkulu)

This study aims to examine the effect of work empowerment and motivation on increasing employee productivity. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with the criteria of employees who have worked for at least 5 years. The sample size was 202 people. The independent variables in this study are work empowerment and motivation, while the dependent variable is employee work productivity. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the variable work empowerment and motivation to increase productivity have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of PT Bank Bengkulu. The implication of this research is to increase the role of employees in decision making (work empowerment) and by providing motivation in the form of praise when working well or giving rewards and punishments as a form of appreciation for work.

Looking at the existing data, it can be concluded that work motivation and communication in a company can increase employee productivity. Improving Employee Productivity Through Supervision: A Case Department of Manpower, Indramayu

In this study, the Manpower Depatment in Indramayu needs to evaluate factors that can increase the productivity of its employees, especially in providing services to the community with the aim of being able to provide excellent service to the community and participate in reducing unemployment in Indramayu, dynamically and stimulate the community to take advantage of every job opportunity, able to create jobs so as to obtain a decent income so that in the end a reliable, dynamic and independent workforce can be realized as soon as possible. The productivity of the employees of the Department of Labor in Indramayu, needs to be further reviewed in this study. This study uses a path analysis model with smartPLS software. The population of this study are employees of the Department of Manpower in Indramayu Regency. The research sample is all civil servants totaling 56 people. The research results prove that discipline and competence can affect employee supervision. Supervision is also proven to be able to increase employee productivity. Indirect influence from discipline and competence also prove capable of influencing employee productivity through supervision Department of Manpower in Indramayu. Variables that contribute the greatest supervision on work productivity.
