Duckweeds as edible vaccines in the animal farming industry.

Animal diseases are among the most debilitating issues in the animal farming industry, resulting in decreased productivity and product quality worldwide. An emerging alternative to conventional injectable vaccines is edible vaccines, which promise increased delivery efficiency while maintaining vaccine effectiveness. One of the most promising platforms for edible vaccines is duckweeds, due to their high growth rate, ease of transformation, and excellent nutritional content. This review explores the potential, feasibility, and advantages of using duckweeds as platforms for edible vaccines. Duckweeds have proven to be superb feed sources, as evidenced by numerous improvements in both quantity (e.g., weight gain) and quality (e.g., yolk pigmentation). In terms of heterologous protein production, duckweeds, being plants, are capable of expressing proteins with complex structures and post-translational modifications. Research efforts have focused on the development of duckweed-based edible vaccines, including those against avian influenza, tuberculosis, Newcastle disease, and mastitis, among others. As with any emerging technology, the development of duckweeds as a platform for edible vaccines is still in its early stages compared to well-established injectable vaccines. It is evident that more proof-of-concept studies are required to bring edible vaccines closer to the current standards of conventional vaccines. Specifically, the duckweed expression system needs further development in areas such as yield and growth rate, especially when compared to bacterial and mammalian expression systems. Continued efforts in this field could lead to breakthroughs that significantly improve the resilience of the animal farming industry against disease threats.

Nanozyme-Incorporated Microneedles for the Treatment of Chronic Wounds.

Acute wounds are converted to chronic wounds due to advanced age and diabetic complications. Nanozymes catalyze ROS production to kill bacteria without causing drug resistance, while microneedles (MNs) can break through the skin barrier to deliver drugs effectively. Nanozymes can be intergrateded into MNs delivery systems to improve painless drug delivery. It can also reduce the effective dose of drug sterilization while increasing delivery efficiency and effectively killing wounded bacteria while preventing drug resistance. This paper describes various types of metal nanozymes from previous studies and compares their mutual enhancement with nanozymes. The pooled results show that the MNs, through material innovation, are able to both penetrate the scab and deliver nanozymes and exert additional anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects. The catalytic effect of some of the nanozymes can also accelerate the lysis of the MNs or create a cascade reaction against inflammation and infection. However, the issue of increased toxicity associated with skin penetration and clinical translation remains a challenge. This study reviews the latest published results and corresponding challenges associated with the use of MNs combined with nanozymes for the treatment of wounds, providing further information for future research.

A Simple Predictive Method for Estimating Boil-Off Rate Over Time in a Cryogenic Container

Abstract Recently, cryogenic fluids are widely transported via cargo ships as energy sources. The generation of boil-off gas (BOG) is inevitable in a cryogenic container due to the large temperature difference. Therefore, accurately analyzing the boil-off gas over time is essential to increase delivery efficiency and ensure tank safety. However, predicting the boil-off rate (BOR) is not a simple task, as both experiment and calculation require a significant amount of time. In this study, a simple predictive method is developed for simulating a 1/50 scaled model tank. The method consists of steady and quasi-unsteady calculations. Steady calculations are performed to establish a correlation between LN2 level and inner-wall temperature. Quasi-unsteady calculations simulate BOG over time by changing the inner-wall boundary conditions. This method can help engineers effectively evaluate the insulation performance of a cryogenic container in a short time and provide guidelines for simulating a real scale tank.

The paired pickup and delivery problem with profit in a two-echelon delivery system with multiple trucks and drones

ABSTRACT Recently researchers proposed truck and drone coordination to increase delivery efficiency and suggested various truck-drone routing problems. In this paper, we also focused on truck and drone coordination and introduced the paired pickup and delivery problem with profit in a two-echelon delivery system. To solve the problem, we propose a hybrid variable neighborhood search algorithm. For this algorithm, we adapted existing neighborhood search operators from the literature and considering the structure of the proposed problem, developed new neighborhood search operators. Also, we have carried out numerous computational experiments to evaluate the proposed solution methods’ performance, where the results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithms. The results highlight that in the paired pickup and delivery problem, for small values of drone operational costs, employing the two-echelon truck and drone routing system increases the profit by up to 5.6 percent in comparison to the vehicle routing system with drones.

Application of the extended value-belief-norm (VBN) theory to understand consumers’ intention to use autonomous delivery vehicles (ADVs)

Emissions from transportation fuel vehicles are polluting the environment more than ever before. Currently, autonomous delivery vehicles (ADVs) are welcomed by logistics service providers and lots of consumers in general for their significant contribution in reducing environmental pollution and increasing delivery efficiency. However, there is a lack of in-depth research on consumers' willingness to adopt ADVs, despite the fact that ADVs are innovative delivery method in the field of last-mile delivery. The purpose of the study is to expand the existing knowledge of consumers' adoption behaviors by developing and testing the extended Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) theory in autonomous delivery literature. In particular, the study adds subjective norms and COVID-19 risk into the original VBN model as a theoretical framework to gain a comprehensive understanding of the consumer decision-making processes with respect to their intentions to use ADVs. Structural equation modeling is conducted using data from a web-based survey of 561 consumers through an online sample platform. The results of the study demonstrated that both subjective norms and COVID-19 risk are all related with consumers’ intention to use ADVs. The casual chain hypotheses of the extend VBN theory mentioned in our study are all supported. The results of the study make significant theoretical and managerial contributions to the field of last-mile delivery and the adoption behaviors of emerging technologies.

Engineering extracellular vesicles to deliver CRISPR ribonucleoprotein for gene editing.

Clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats (CRISPR) is a gene editing tool with tremendous therapeutic potential. Recently, ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex-based CRISPR systems have gained momentum due to their reduction of off-target editing. This has coincided with the emergence of extracellular vesicles (EVs) as a therapeutic delivery vehicle due to its low immunogenicity and high capacity for manipulation. EVs are cell-derived membranous nanoparticles which mediate the intercellular transfer of molecular components. Current technologies achieve CRISPR RNP encapsulation into EVs through EVs biogenesis, thereby avoiding unnecessary physical, chemical or biological manipulations to the vesicles directly. Herein, we identify sixteen EVs-based CRISPR RNP encapsulation strategies, each with distinct genetic features to encapsulate CRISPR RNP. According to the molecular mechanism facilitating the encapsulation process, there are six strategies of encapsulating Cas9 RNP into virus-like particles based on genetic fusion, seven into EVs based on protein tethering, and three based on sgRNA-coupled encapsulation. Additionally, the incorporation of a targeting moiety to the EVs membrane surface through EVs biogenesis confers tropism and increases delivery efficiency to specific cell types. The targeting moieties include viral envelope proteins, recombinant proteins containing a ligand peptide, single-chain fragment variable (scFv) antibodies, and integrins. However, current strategies still have a number of limitations which prevent their use in clinical trials. Among those, the incorporation of viral proteins for encapsulation of Cas9 RNP have raised issues of biocompatibility due to host immune response. Future studies should focus on genetically engineering the EVs without viral proteins, enhancing EVs delivery specificity, and promoting EVs-based homology directed repair. Nevertheless, the integration of CRISPR RNP encapsulation and tropism technologies will provide strategies for the EVs-based delivery of CRISPR RNP in gene therapy and disease treatment.

To Study the Impact of AI on Business and Customer Services - A Case Study on Swiggy

In the food delivery sector, the usage of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has grown significantly. An important player in the Indian market for online food ordering and delivery, Swiggy, has been looking into how AI could improve its business processes and customer support. This topic intends to analyze the research on artificial intelligence (AI) utilisation in the food delivery sector and investigate its possible uses for Swiggy. The paper covers several AI applications and their effects on many business elements, such as logistics optimization algorithms, NLP-based chat bots, and picture recognition-based recommendation systems. According to the study, Swiggy could boost customer service, increase delivery efficiency, and give users tailored recommendations if it used AI. However, it is essential to assure the moral use of AI and address any potential privacy and prejudice issues. The study comes to the conclusion that AI offers a lot of potential for enhancing Swiggy's business processes and customer service, which would eventually improve customer satisfaction and retention. To do the findings of this topic the sample size of 400 restaurants were taken into account to know the customer preference and the service provided by the restauramt partners in the Swiggy platform and to rectify there problems and issues faced by them in accepting the orders and their online presence in the Swiggy app so that there customer ratings and service can be increased.

Multi-sensitive functionalized niosomal nanocarriers for controllable gene delivery in vitro and in vivo

MicroRNAs, which can contribute to numerous cellular functions through post-transcriptional silencing, have become well-documented candidates for cancer treatment applications, particularly in chemo-resistant cancers. Herein, several formulations were examined to optimize the essential parameters, and the niosomal formulation consisting of cholesterol:tween-80:DOTAP:PEG with 9:69:15:7 ratio had the best physicochemical parameters including spherical shape, high entrapment efficiency, small diameter (81 ± 0.65 nm), and appropriate positive charge (23 ± 0.64 mV). Here, we aimed to design a system with increased delivery efficiency which was tested by the encapsulation of miR-34a within niosome NPs and assessed the nano-niosomal delivery of miR-34a as a tumor suppressor in MCF-7 human adenocarcinoma cells. The results showed that our novel niosome systems with non-ionic surfactants can successfully eliminate cancer cells by increasing the expression of p53 and reducing the expression of NF-κB. In comparison with the free dispersion of miR-34a, the lysis of a nano-sized delivery system demonstrated a better cytotoxicity effect against cancer cells. Similar results were obtained by performing in vivo test on the 4T1 xenografted Balb/C mouse tumor model and the miR-34a-loaded niosomes displayed a better reduction in tumor size by improving approximately + 13% in tumor inhabitation rate while maintaining the bodyweight close to the first day. Therefore, it is concluded that miR-34a delivery via niosomes has high potential as a tumor suppressor and a reliable procedure for breast cancer treatment.Graphical

Exosomes; multifaceted nanoplatform for targeting brain cancers

At the moment, anaplastic changes within the brain are challenging due to the complexity of neural tissue, leading to the inefficiency of therapeutic protocols. The existence of a cellular interface, namely the blood-brain barrier (BBB), restricts the entry of several macromolecules and therapeutic agents into the brain. To date, several nano-based platforms have been used in laboratory settings and in vivo conditions to overcome the barrier properties of BBB. Exosomes (Exos) are one-of-a-kind of extracellular vesicles with specific cargo to modulate cell bioactivities in a paracrine manner. Regarding unique physicochemical properties and easy access to various biofluids, Exos provide a favorable platform for drug delivery and therapeutic purposes. Emerging data have indicated that Exos enable brain penetration of selective cargos such as bioactive factors and chemotherapeutic compounds. Along with these statements, the application of smart delivery approaches can increase delivery efficiency and thus therapeutic outcomes. Here, we highlighted the recent advances in the application of Exos in the context of brain tumors.

90K increased delivery efficiency of extracellular vesicles through mediating internalization.

Using mass spectrometry-based high-throughput proteomics, we identified a membrane protein on extracellular vesicles (EVs), 90K, which predicts poor overall survival of patients with head and neck cancer. 90K levels in serum EVs could serve as an independent factor for poor prognosis of patients with head and neck cancer. Pre-treatment of immune competent mice with tumor-derived EVs (TDEs) elicited an immune-suppressive microenvironment for tumor cells, which was regulated by 90K. The immunosuppressive function of TDE-90K depends on the presence of myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) rather than regulatory T cells. The immune regulatory role of TDEs on MDSCs depends on miR-21 which is encapsulated in TDEs. Moreover, 90K is required for the internalization of TDE cargo though interacting with integrin-β1 and anti-siglec-9 rather than directly affecting the immune function of MDSCs. 90K modification of γδT cell-derived EVs (γδTEVs) could increase the delivery efficiency and therapeutic effect of PD-L1 siRNA by γδTEVs. We concluded that as a secreted protein modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, 90K can be carried by TDEs to mediate the internalization and delivery of TDEs cargo by recipient cells. This function of 90K could be utilized to improve the efficiency of EV-based drug delivery.

Theranostic Cancer Treatment Using Lentinan-Coated Selenium Nanoparticles and Label-Free CEST MRI.

Selenium nanoparticle (SeNP)-based nanotherapeutics have become an emerging cancer therapy, while effective drug delivery remains a technical hurdle. A theranostic approach, through which imaging companions are integrated with SeNPs, will allow image-guided drug delivery and, therefore, is highly desirable. Traditional methods require the chemical conjugation of imaging agents to the surface of nanoparticles, which may impede the later clinical translation. In this study, we developed a label-free strategy in which lentinan-functionalized SeNPs (LNT-SeNPs) are detected using MRI by the hydroxyl protons carried on LNT molecules. The in vitro phantom study showed that LNT and LNT-SeNPs have a strong CEST signal at 1.0 ppm apart from the water resonance, suggesting an in vivo detectability in the µM concentration range. Demonstrated on CT26 colon tumor cells, LNT-SeNPs exert a strong anticancer effect (IC50 = 4.8 μM), prominently attributed to the ability to generate intracellular reactive oxygen species. However, when testing in a mouse model of CT26 tumors, administration of LNT-SeNPs alone was found unable to deliver sufficient drugs to the tumor, leading to poor treatment responses. To improve the drug delivery, we co-injected LNT-SeNPs and TNF-α, a previously reported drug that could effectively damage the endothelial cells in the tumor vasculature, thereby increasing drug delivery to the tumor. Our results revealed a 75% increase in the intratumoral CEST MRI signal, indicating a markedly increased delivery efficiency of LNT-SeNPs when combined with TNF-α. The combination therapy also resulted in a significantly enhanced treatment outcome, as revealed by the tumor growth study. Taken together, our study demonstrates the first label-free, SeNP-based theranostic system, in which LNT was used for both functional surface coating and CEST MRI signal generating. Such a theranostic LNT-SeNP system is advantageous because it requires chemical labeling and, therefore, has high biocompatibility and low translatable barriers.

TransFloor

Smart on-demand delivery services require accurate indoor localization to enhance the system-human synergy experience of couriers in complex multi-story malls and platform construction. Floor localization is an essential part of indoor positioning, which can provide floor/altitude data support for upper-level 3D indoor navigation services (e.g., delivery route planning) to improve delivery efficiency and optimize order dispatching strategies. We argue that due to label dependence and device dependence, the existing floor localization methods cannot be flexibly deployed on a large scale in numerous multi-story malls across the country, nor can they apply to all couriers/users on the platform. This paper proposes a novel self-evolving and user-transparent floor localization system named TransFloor, based on crowdsourcing delivery data (e.g., order status and sensors data) without additional label investment and specialized equipment constraints. TransFloor consists of an unsupervised barometer-based module--IOD-TKPD and an NLP-inspired Wi-Fi-based module--Wifi2Vec, and Self-Labeling is a perfect bridge between both to completely achieve label-free and device-independent floor positioning. In addition, TransFloor is designed as a lightweight plugin embedded into the platform without refactoring the existing architecture, and it has been deployed nationwide to adaptively launch real-time accurate 3D/floor positioning services for numerous crowdsourcing couriers. We evaluate TransFloor on real-world records from an instant delivery platform (involving 672,282 orders, 7,390 couriers, and 6,206 merchants in 388 malls during two months). It can achieve an average accuracy of 94.61% and demonstrate good robustness to device heterogeneity and adaptive durability, outperforming existing state-of-the-art methods. Crucially, it can effectively improve user satisfaction and reduce overdue delivery by providing accurate floor navigation information in complex multi-story malls. As a case study, the platform reduces erroneous order scheduling by 60% and overdue delivery by 2.7%, and increases delivery efficiency by reducing courier arrival time by 12.27 seconds accounting for 7.29%. We believe that the key ideas of TransFloor can be extended to other crowdsourcing scenarios for the public further.

Recent approaches to mRNA vaccine delivery by lipid-based vectors prepared by continuous-flow microfluidic devices.

Advancements in nanotechnology have resulted in the introduction of several nonviral delivery vectors for the nontoxic, efficient delivery of encapsulated mRNA-based vaccines. Lipid- and polymer-based nanoparticles (NP) have proven to be the most potent delivery systems, providing increased delivery efficiency and protection of mRNA molecules from degradation. Here, the authors provide an overview of the recent studies carried out using lipid NPs and their functionalized forms, polymeric and lipid-polymer hybrid nanocarriers utilized mainly for the encapsulation of mRNAs for gene and immune therapeutic applications. A microfluidic system as a prevalent methodology for the preparation of NPs with continuous flow enables NP size tuning, rapid mixing and production reproducibility. Continuous-flow microfluidic devices for lipid and polymeric encapsulated RNA NP production are specifically reviewed.

Advanced Drug Delivery Modulation via Hybrid Nanofibers Enhances Stem Cell Differentiation.

Seamlessly integrating soluble factors onto biomedical scaffolds with a precisely manufactured topography for efficient cell control remains elusive since many scaffold fabrication techniques degrade payloads. Surface adsorption of payloads onto synthesized nanoscaffolds retains bioactivity by removing exposure to harsh processing conditions at the expense of inefficient drug loading and uncontrolled release. Herein, we present a nanomaterial composite scaffold paradigm to improve physicochemical surface adsorption pharmacokinetics. As a proof of concept, we integrated graphene oxide (GO) and manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanosheets onto nanofibers to increase loading capacity and tune drug release. Non-degradable GO enhances payload retention, while biodegradable MnO2 enables cell-responsive drug release. To demonstrate the utility of this hybrid nanomaterial scaffold paradigm for tissue engineering, we adsorbed payloads ranging from small molecules to proteins onto the scaffold to induce myogenesis and osteogenesis for multiple stem cell lines. Scaffolds with adsorbed payloads enabled more efficient differentiation than media supplementation using equivalent quantities of differentiation factors. We attribute this increased efficacy to a reverse uptake mechanism whereby payloads are localized around seeded cells, increasing delivery efficiency for guiding differentiation. Additionally, we demonstrate spatial control over cells since differentiation factors are delivered locally through the scaffold. When co-culturing scaffolds with and without adsorbed payloads, only cells seeded on payload-adsorbed scaffolds underwent differentiation. With this modular technology being capable of enhancing multiple differentiation fates for specific cell lines, this technology provides a promising alternative for current tissue engineering scaffolds.

A novel weight optimized dynamic conformal arcs with TrueBeam™ Linac for very small tumors (≤1 cc) with single isocenter of multiple brain metastases (2≤, ≥4) in stereotactic radiosurgery: A comparison with volumetric modulated arc therapy.

We evaluated whether improved increase delivery efficiency of weight optimized dynamic conformal arc (WO-DCA) therapy in comparison to volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) with single isocenter for SRS treatment of very small volume and multiple brain metastases (BMs). 20 patients having a less than 1 cc volume and 2≤, ≥4 of multiple BMs, redesigned for 20 Gy in 1 fraction using WO-DCA and VMAT techniques with double full coplanar and three partial noncoplanar arcs. Plan qualities were compared using tumor coverage, conformity index (CI), gradient index (GI), V4Gy, V10Gy, and V12Gy volumes of brain, monitor units (MUs), and percent of quality assurance pass rate (QA%). Both techniques satisfied clinical requirements in coverage and CI. VMAT had a significantly higher MU and mean GI than WO-DCA (for MUs; 2330 vs. 1991; P < 0.001, and for GI; 4.72 vs. 3.39; P < 0.001). WO-DCA was found significantly lower V4Gy (171.11 vs. 232.80 cm3, P < 0.001), V10Gy (25.82 vs. 29.71 cm3, P < 0.05), and V12Gy (14.35 vs. 17.28 cm3, P < 0.05) volumes than VMAT. WO-DCA was associated with markedly increase QA pass rates for all plans (97.65% vs. 92.64%, P < 0.001). WO-DCA may be the first choice compared to the VMAT in reducing the dose in the brain and minimizing small-field dosimetric errors for very small SRS treatment of brain metastases in the range of ≤ 1 cc and 2≤, ≥4.

Multiobjective Optimization for Planning the Service Areas of Smart Parcel Locker Facilities in Logistics Last Mile Delivery

The planning of the location service areas of smart parcel locker facilities became a critical aspect of logistics last mile delivery. In e-commerce, the efficiency of delivering merchandise from retailer warehouses to customers determines the competitiveness of retailers and delivery operators. The considerable increases in e-commerce transactions and safety concerns under the COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic made home delivery services even more inefficient than before, which resulted in the considerable increase in social costs. In numerous countries, smart parcel lockers were adopted to increase delivery efficiency, decrease the risk of COVID-19 infection, and reduce the burden on society. This study proposed a multiobjective optimization mathematical model for investigating the planning of the location service areas of smart parcel locker facilities, and then the optimization mathematical model was solved using a combination of the Taguchi method (TA) and nondominant sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II). Finally, this composite approach was applied to a case study in producing favorable solutions for facility location service area planning.

Genetic and Covalent Protein Modification Strategies to Facilitate Intracellular Delivery.

Protein-based therapeutics represent a rapidly growing segment of approved disease treatments. Successful intracellular delivery of proteins is an important precondition for expanded in vivo and in vitro applications of protein therapeutics. Direct modification of proteins and peptides for improved cytosolic translocation are a promising method of increasing delivery efficiency and expanding the viability of intracellular protein therapeutics. In this Review, we present recent advances in both synthetic and genetic protein modifications for intracellular delivery. Active endocytosis-based and passive internalization pathways are discussed, followed by a review of modification methods for improved cytosolic delivery. After establishing how proteins can be modified, general strategies for facilitating intracellular delivery, such as chemical supercharging or inclusion of cell-penetrating motifs, are covered. We then outline protein modifications that promote endosomal escape. We finally examine the delivery of two potential classes of therapeutic proteins, antibodies and associated antibody fragments, and gene editing proteins, such as cas9.

Development of Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of Macromolecules Based on the Molecular Design of pH-Sensitive Cationic Lipids.

Considerable efforts have been made on the development of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for delivering of nucleic acids in LNP-based medicines, including a first-ever short interfering RNA (siRNA) medicine, Onpattro, and the mRNA vaccines against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which have been approved and are currently in use worldwide. The successful rational design of ionizable cationic lipids was a major breakthrough that dramatically increased delivery efficiency in this field. The LNPs would be expected to be useful as a platform technology for the delivery of various therapeutic modalities for genome editing and even for undiscovered therapeutic mechanisms. In this review, the current progress of my research, including the molecular design of pH-sensitive cationic lipids, their applications for various tissues and cell types, and for delivering various macromolecules, including siRNA, antisense oligonucleotide, mRNA, and the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-associated (Cas) system will be described. Mechanistic studies regarding relationships between the physicochemical properties of LNPs, drug delivery, and biosafety are also summarized. Furthermore, current issues that need to be addressed for next generation drug delivery systems are discussed.

CPP Applications in Immune Modulation and Disease Therapy.

About 30years ago, the discovery of CPP improved the therapeutic approach to treat diseases and extended the range of potential targets to intracellular molecules. There are potential drug candidates for FDA approval based on active studies in basic research, preclinical, and clinical trials. Various attempts by CPP application to control the diseases such as allergy, autoimmunity, cancer, and infection demonstrated a strategy to make a new drug pipeline for successful discovery of a biologic drug for immune modulation. However, there are still no CPP-based drug candidates for immune-related diseases in the clinical stage. To control immune responses successfully, not only increasing delivery efficiency of CPPs but also selecting potential target cells and cargoes could be important issues. In particular, as it becomes possible to control intracellular targets, efforts to find various novel potential target are being attempted. In this chapter, we focused on CPP-based approaches to treat diseases through modulation of immune responses and discussed for perspectives on future direction of the research for successful application of CPP technology to immune modulation and disease therapy in clinical trial.

Pressure-driven accumulation of Mn-doped mesoporous silica nanoparticles containing 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine and docetaxel at tumours with a dry cupping device

Drug delivery with the help of nanoparticles could transport more payloads to tumour site. Owing to their limited accumulation and penetration in the tumour tissues, to increase delivery efficiency is currently still required for applying nanomedicine to treat tumour. Here, we initially report a pressure-driven accumulation of drug-loaded nanoparticles to tumours for efficient tumour therapy with a dry cupping device. The mesoporous Mn-doped silica based nanoparticles delivering 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine and docetaxel were prepared, characterised and used as a model nanomedicine to investigate the potential of dry cupping treatment. For this system, the Mn doping not only endowed the mesoporous silica nanoparticles biodegradability, but also made it much easier to bind a tumour targeting group, which is a G-quadruplex-forming aptamer AS1411. On tumour-bearing mice, the in vivo results demonstrated that the dry cupping treatment could substantially improve the distribution of nanomedicines at tumour site, resulting in enhanced treatment efficacy. Overall, this method enables the therapeutical nanoparticles accumulate to tumour through increasing the blood perfusion as well as altering the biological barrier, which opened up possibilities for the development of pressure-driven nanomedicine accumulation at tumour site.
