Artificial intelligence for choosing an agile method

Agile methods are widely known in different companies, including information technology (IT) companies. They appeared intending to solve the problems of traditional methods while proposing an iterative and incremental cycle. These methods consist of four values and the twelve principles agreed upon in 2001 in a Manifesto. However, each method holds singularities from which it is difficult to choose one to adopt in different project cases. The selection of the method to adopt positively or negatively affects the final product following the criteria of the project and the personnel. Project experts must research and compare methods manually to make a choice, a thing that drains time, which is a key factor in project realization. Currently, there is no intelligent system or model that allows choosing the agile method to adopt for such a project. For this purpose, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques will be used to develop a Chatbot that allows reaching the aim. This Chatbot will be developed based on a decision tree model that will be proposed from an experimental study.

Construction of non-stationary biorthogonal Wavelets based on cardinal Chebyshev B-spline

In this paper, we propose a novel method for designing non-stationary biorthogonal wavelets that leverages Bezout equations to compute wavelet filter coefficients. Our approach integrates cardinal Chebyshev B-splines of varying degrees (second, third, and fourth) as bases for constructing these wavelets, providing explicit formulations for both low-pass and high-pass filters at all levels. By employing this method, we streamline the design process, making it more efficient and accessible while accommodating diverse processing requirements. The utilization of Bezout equations offers a systematic framework for deriving wavelet filter coefficients, enhancing the reproducibility and reliability of the design process. This systematic approach ensures that the resulting wavelets possess desired properties such as vanishing moments, smoothness, and optimal localization. Moreover, by incorporating cardinal Chebyshev B-splines, we can effectively capture intricate signal and image features, addressing challenges encountered in traditional wavelet design methods. Our method not only simplifies the design process but also provides a comprehensive solution by explicitly formulating filters and dual filters across all levels. This comprehensive approach ensures that the resulting wavelets meet the specific demands of applications in signal and image processing, including compression, denoising, and pattern recognition. These advancements hold significant implications for various domains, including information technology, healthcare, and engineering, where efficient and reliable processing techniques are crucial. Moving forward, it is imperative to refine algorithms, assess parameter robustness, and conduct thorough empirical validations across diverse datasets and application scenarios. This will ensure the efficacy and scalability of our proposed method and pave the way for further advancements in non-stationary wavelet design and its applications. By continuously improving and validating our approach, we can foster innovation and enhance practical outcomes in a wide range of fields.

Implementation Of A Waste Bank Management Program In The South Tangerang City Area (Study In Benda Baru Subdistrict)

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the waste bank management program and the waste bank management model in Benda Baru Subdistrict, South Tangerang City. This research uses a qualitative approach, data collection techniques using observations, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and documentation. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. The informants consisted of 5 groups of informants, namely the Environmental Service, Village Employees, Waste Bank Managers, Environmental Monitoring Institutions and the Community of Banda Baru Village, South Tangerang City. This research uses the Miles and Huberman Model Qualitative Data Analysis Technique where the implementation of the waste bank management program uses policy implementation theory from George C. Edwards III, namely four variables in public policy, namely Communication, Resources, attitudes (dispositions or attitudes) and bureaucratic structure and Van Horn Theory. The latest in this research is the collaboration between the use of information technology and public policy regarding waste bank management. Waste bank management model to implement a waste bank management program by including information technology elements in the information flow, sorting/sorting flow, bookkeeping flow and customer deposit distribution flow at the waste bank. Meanwhile, the model for implementing the waste bank management program in the flow of collecting or purchasing waste from local government waste banks requires establishing a Regional Owned Enterprise or regional company that specifically handles waste produced from waste banks. This has a massive impact on the green economy concept to improve community welfare.

Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging: Analyzing the Performance of ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing in Scoliosis Detection and Cobb Angle Assessment.

Open-source artificial intelligence models (OSAIM) find free applications in various industries, including information technology and medicine. Their clinical potential, especially in supporting diagnosis and therapy, is the subject of increasingly intensive research. Due to the growing interest in artificial intelligence (AI) for diagnostic purposes, we conducted a study evaluating the capabilities of AI models, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing, in the diagnosis of single-curve scoliosis based on posturographic radiological images. Two independent neurosurgeons assessed the degree of spinal deformation, selecting 23 cases of severe single-curve scoliosis. Each posturographic image was separately implemented onto each of the mentioned platforms using a set of formulated questions, starting from 'What do you see in the image?' and ending with a request to determine the Cobb angle. In the responses, we focused on how these AI models identify and interpret spinal deformations and how accurately they recognize the direction and type of scoliosis as well as vertebral rotation. The Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) with a 'two-way' model was used to assess the consistency of Cobb angle measurements, and its confidence intervals were determined using the F test. Differences in Cobb angle measurements between human assessments and the AI ChatGPT model were analyzed using metrics such as RMSEA, MSE, MPE, MAE, RMSLE, and MAPE, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of AI model performance from various statistical perspectives. The ChatGPT model achieved 100% effectiveness in detecting scoliosis in X-ray images, while the Bing model did not detect any scoliosis. However, ChatGPT had limited effectiveness (43.5%) in assessing Cobb angles, showing significant inaccuracy and discrepancy compared to human assessments. This model also had limited accuracy in determining the direction of spinal curvature, classifying the type of scoliosis, and detecting vertebral rotation. Overall, although ChatGPT demonstrated potential in detecting scoliosis, its abilities in assessing Cobb angles and other parameters were limited and inconsistent with expert assessments. These results underscore the need for comprehensive improvement of AI algorithms, including broader training with diverse X-ray images and advanced image processing techniques, before they can be considered as auxiliary in diagnosing scoliosis by specialists.

Management and Leadership Requirements in Hospital Service Supply Chain: A Mixed Method Study

Background: The supply chain of hospital services is a relatively new and highly challenging field, and it is crucial for relevant officials to possess the necessary skills. The success in this domain relies on the characteristics of managers, their management practices, and their leadership style. This study aims to investigate the requirements of management and leadership in hospital services’ supply chain.
 Methods: This study employed a two-stage mixed-methods approach carried out from 2018 to 2021. In the first stage, a qualitative study was conducted using purposive sampling and semi-structured in-depth interviews with 15 experts in various leadership positions. The data collected in this stage were analyzed using framework approach. Subsequently, the primary themes that emerged from the analysis were presented to 8 experts in the form of a questionnaire. The experts' responses were then analyzed to determine the level of agreement on different topics using Delphi method, Kendall's coefficient of agreement, and the mean was compared through SPSS 21.
 Results: The experts identified transformationalism, planning capability, crisis management, and creativity as the most crucial factors. Furthermore, there was a high level of agreement regarding the influence of managers (4.62 ± 0.51), maintaining distance from mundane routines (4.50 ± 0.53), and attending to various incidents in hospital services supply chain (4.50 ± 0.53). Considering that Kendall Rank Correlation Coefficient (w) was 0.53 in the first round and 0.72 in the second round and was statistically significant, there was a strong consensus among the expert panel.
 Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the change in management style and hospital services supply chain, there should be a special focus on the possibility of occurrence or impact of sudden accidents. Also, routine and ineffective actions should be eliminated and the managers and employees should be more creative to improve this chain. Transformational leaders should try to manage the hospital services supply chain by forming specialized teams and using the capabilities of employees with the reasonable use of financial resources and appropriate infrastructures, including information technology.

Wirtualna rzeczywistość świata postnowoczesnego (na przykładzie wybranych utworów współczesnej literatury rosyjskiej)

The aim of the article presented here is to define virtual reality in a post-modern world in which revolutionary technological transformations are taking place before our eyes. Thus, we are witnessing the implementation into our existence of new entities created in the first instance by the sciences including information technology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, and nanotechnology. The latter fields of knowledge have become our research object, with examples drawn from selected works of contemporary Russian literature. It turns out that transhumanism in Russia has its prehistory, for example, the cosmism of Nikolai Fyodorov, and is intensively developing in the present day, for example, the organisation, the Russian Transhumanist Movement. In terms of fiction related to the desire to transform homo sapiens into homo superior, Andrei Platonov, Yevgeny Zamiatin, Mikhail Bulgakov highlight this trend. In contemporary times, the themes of transhumanism, immortalism, cryonics, and artificial intelligence have been taken up by Tatyana Tolstaya, Olga Slavnikova, Victor Pelevin, Vladimir Sorokin, among others. On the pages of their novels, they present how utopia understood as a pipe dream is transformed into utopia – an experiment. The rapid development of civilization forces us to have moral doubts: “unfrozen” after a few hundred years, man may not adapt in a new environment. Artificial intelligence threatens to transform human beings into their replicas, cyborgs, taking over people’s jobs and threatening unemployment. This in turn contradicts the idea of eternal life, raising questions about whether replicas of humans will be endowed with consciousness and emotions, or whether humans transformed from creatures to creators will still remain human.

The saga of struggling diversity in the 21st century: a qualitative study

PurposeThis paper aims to examine the barriers that act as a hindrance and are the reason behind the struggles for the successful practice of diversity and inclusion. It also provides suggestions that organisations across the Asian region can adopt to have a conducive work environment to flourish diversity and inclusion.Design/methodology/approachQualitative data were collected from 21 in-depth semi-structured interviews, where the male and female interviewee ratio was 6:4. The interviewees were diversity and inclusion leaders, diversity and inclusion consultants and human resources (HR) experts from Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, UAE, Singapore, Bangladesh and Nepal. The interviewees belonged to varied industries, including information technology, automobile, manufacturing, engineering, logistics and independent consultants. Every interview recorded was transcribed, and an inductive content analysis technique was used using NVivo. Broad themes and several antecedents were identified which hinder the successful practice of diversity and inclusion.FindingsThere exists a patriarchal mindset in society as the main reason; that is why Asian countries are finding it difficult and are struggling to embrace diversity and inclusion successfully. There is a lack of awareness amongst managers about how inclusive gender diversity impacts the company’s financial status. Reports show that companies that have female board members have better profit margins in comparison to those that do not.Research limitations/implicationsThis study was conducted within one industry setting, the service sector; therefore, the findings may not apply to other industries because of the different organisational cultures and HR policies.Practical implicationsThis study offers managerial implications that can help the organisation foster and embrace diversity and inclusion by overcoming the barriers.Social implicationsThere should be fair and equitable inclusivity of females in the workplace. Female employees should be heard without biases and discrimination and allowed to speak up with equity. Females should not be seen differently during organisational decision-making, participation and empowerment.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is one of the few to explore the challenges faced by Asian region organisations to embrace diversity and inclusion by empirical evidence. The study shows how the Asian region struggles to go beyond gender diversity and move away from patriarchal hegemony, which is the study’s unique contribution.

Menyelami Dampak Modernisasi Pesantren (Antara Kebutuhan dan Tuntutan)

Islamic boarding schools as one of the oldest education that was born and grew and developed in Indonesia has a very important role, both for the advancement of Islamic education and for the Indonesian nation. In the history of Indonesia's struggle for independence, pesantren was one of the spearheads in fighting the colonialists. However, nowadays, pesantren are better understood as a group that only studies religion and classical books, so that for general knowledge they are considered behind. The world of students is also sometimes still considered a closed or exclusive world so that it is considered backward in the face of the development of the modern world. Society views that the times have developed towards the era of globalization, so pesantren are required to be able to adjust to these changes, so that after graduating from pesantren, students are not only experts in the field of religion but are able to adjust to the times. With these demands, modern pesantren emerged that included many aspects of modernization, for example including information technology or the freedom of access to social media. Based on this presentation, the author is interested in examining whether the entry of modernity into pesantren is an advance or a threat, so the purpose of this study is to see the extent to which modernity affects teaching in pesantren. This research uses qualitative research methods with a literature model. The stages in analyzing data are doing it by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions.

Resource integration and firm performance through organizational capabilities for digital transformation

PurposeDigital transformation is a foundational change in how firms operate and deliver value to customers by using digital technologies to create new business opportunities. The purpose of this study is to offer a conceptual framework by reorganizing the elements of digital transformation, including resources, technology, capabilities and performance, into a workable process and investigating how firms integrate these resources, build new capabilities and transform them into enhanced performance.Design/methodology/approachThis framework builds three blocks: resource integration, organizational capabilities and outcomes, exploring the impact of resource integration on outcomes through organizational capabilities. For resource integration, this study adopts a resource-based view (RBV) and service-dominant logic (SDL) to integrate organizational resources, including information technology (IT)-based resources, which play a role in moderating the effect of resource integration. Moreover, the author argues that firms’ capabilities have two levels: higher-order capabilities and lower-order capabilities, which will convert these resources through the capabilities into organizational performance.FindingsThis framework is built to understand the process of digital transformation and its antecedents for firms’ performance in business environments. Drawing on RBV, it provides a more holistic perspective that has been linked to resource integration, organizational capabilities and outcomes at the firm level. In this way, the theoretical basis for diminishing implicitness associated with the current perspective of digital transformation can be strengthened.Originality/valueThis paper offers a coherent discussion of digital transformation and explains the process of digital transformation, thus advancing prior work. The major contribution is connecting the process of digital transformation through which firms integrate resources, i.e. digital technologies and valuable, rare, inimitable and nonsubstitutable (VRIN) and nonVRIN resources as well, to build organizational dynamic capabilities based on RBV and SDL.

AssignmentWatch: An Automated Detection and Alert Tool for Reducing Academic Misconduct Associated With File-Sharing Websites

Academic misconduct stemming from file-sharing websites is an increasingly prevalent challenge in tertiary education, including information technology and engineering disciplines. Current plagiarism detection methods (e.g. text matching) are largely ineffective for combatting misconduct in programming and mathematics based assessments. For these reasons, the development of an effective, automated monitoring tool would provide significant benefit in the struggle against misconduct. To address this challenge, this paper reports an innovative software tool named AssignmentWatch which supports academic integrity by actively monitoring for the upload of assessment content online, with a focus on file-sharing websites. This monitoring and alert notification system reduces the time burden on educators by automating the detection process. The design of AssignmentWatch focuses on early detection which enables educators to take early action. This could include preventative education, or removal of content before it is utilized by students. Through this, AssignmentWatch can reduce incidents of misconduct. The software tool is open source and made freely available to the community. AssignmentWatch was validated under controlled conditions, followed by field testing in 30 assignments, across 16 subjects and 5 higher education institutions. AssignmentWatch was found to effectively detect uploads on a variety of websites, generally within 24 hours. In field testing, AssignmentWatch received positive feedback from educators with 8 out of 10 educators stating AssignmentWatch aided academic integrity and 7 out of 10 users stating AssignmentWatch helped identify assignment content online.

PENGEMBANGAN WISATA BAHARI DENGAN PENDEKATAN EKONOMI KREATIF DI KAWASAN PESISIR PANTAI KABUPATEN BONE BOLANGO

This reserch aims to find out and describe the factors that determine tourism development, including in terms of infrastructure, accessibility, community participation and tourist attractions. The data analysis used is an interactive model analysis which consists of three components of analysis namely: 1) Data reduction; 2) Data Presentation; 3) Verify Data and Draw Conclusions. The research results show that: 1) the development of basic tourism infrastructure in the coastal area of Bone Bolango is not sufficient. Basic infrastructure facilities including infrastructure, public facilities and tourism facilities do not meet the standards of the tourism development master plan; 2) tourism accessibility in the Bone Bolango coastal area can improve the quality of life of local residents by creating new jobs. Tourism accessibility is also encouraged to pay attention to environmental impacts such as potential damage to coral reefs and underwater waste so that the role of tourism actors is expected to be sensitive and wise in paying attention to the negative impacts of tourism development; 3) community participation in developing tourism destinations in the Bone Bolango coastal area must be carried out using a variety of approaches including information technology to assist marketing, involving community groups who are vulnerable to having no income, and building partnerships with tourism organizations. This is important because the declining community participation is caused by access to information, the style of community consumerism. For this reason, the regional government of Bone Bolango Regency and the village government need to provide regular assistance to the community to encourage sustainable development through the tourism sector; 4) tourist attractions have a significant impact on economic growth and cultural preservation. Encouraging tourist attractions requires careful planning, collaboration between stakeholders, and long-term commitment. With the right efforts, destinations can increase their attractiveness and attract many tourists, thereby contributing to the development of the local creative economy and the sustainability of tourism. By increasing tourist attractions, especially in rural areas, it can increase the income and welfare of rural residents and help prevent excessive urbanization.

Improvement of Information Technology Undergraduate Thesis Project

Many students face challenges in the thesis preparation process, including time constraints, lack of integration with industry requirements, and lack of understanding of research methodology. This research aims to formulate another form of student thesis project with equal reasoning and difficulty level that can be measured and converted as a thesis. Apart from that, it also improves the quality and relevance of undergraduate thesis projects in Information Technology. The research method used is a descriptive approach, involving surveys and interviews. Research participants include Information Technology undergraduate students, supervisors, industry practitioners, and advisory boards. Data collection instruments include a structural questionnaire and interview guide designed to explore experiences, perceptions, and suggestions regarding changes in the preparation of the thesis project. The proposed solution involves implementing effective time management, closer integration with industry challenges through partnerships with companies, increased understanding of research methodologies, and adaptation of curricula to reflect dynamic changes in the Information Technology industry. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide concrete guidance for improving thesis projects and creating graduates who are better prepared and relevant to industry needs. Through this approach, it is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the academic process in producing higher quality and relevant thesis projects in the context of information technology.

Nomination of cyber security terms in modern Ukrainian literary language

The article analyzes the main types of nominations of modern Ukrainian cyber security terminology. The non-uniformity of cyber security terminology determined the relevance of our research. The research material was the texts of legislative acts, textbooks, articles, monographs, dictionaries and other sources of factual material in the field of cyber security. An onomasiological approach (from content to form) is adopted for the linguistic analysis of terminological material for the reason that it makes it possible to use existing or necessary ways and means of expressing a certain scientific concept in language. We have selected the following thematic groups of cyber security terms: types of cyber security; cyber security subjects; cyber security objects; actions and measures of administrative and legal nature; technological processes, procedures, programs, means of protection; names of devices and technical means; names of offenses; names of persons by family and type of activity. Cybersecurity terminology is synthetic in its nature, since the system of concepts it covers is at the intersection of several industries, including information technologies, jurisprudence, state security services, etc. Еntire term field of cyber security becomes a complex dynamic system that has an open-ended nature and exists in both verbal and non-verbal forms. Nomination in the Ukrainian terminological system of cyber security takes place according to the following types: creation of terms by all known methods of the morphological word formation of the Ukrainian language (affixation, compounding and abbreviation, non-morphological word formation, creation of compound nominative units) with varying degrees of regularity and productivity. Low-productive methods are prefix-suffix and affix-less varieties of morphological word formation, as well as morphological-syntactic and lexical-syntactic methods of semantic derivation. The most common terms in the cyber security terminology are phrases, in particular two-component ones, the main principle of which is the specification of the supporting component.

Investigating How Procurement Strategies Influence the Performance of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

This study explores the impact that procurement methods have on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly those in the manufacturing industry. In this industry, achieving higher levels of competitiveness and long-term sustainability requires efficient procurement management. The study carefully examines the complex relationship between SME performance and their procurement methods using a regression-based methodology. Quantitative information is methodically collected using carefully designed questionnaires, with an emphasis on important areas including information technology integration, supplier selection, and ethical purchasing. The study's conclusions highlight how different procurement strategies have a significant impact on SMEs' performance and highlight how important they are to raising service standards. Specifically, the study shows information technology as a vital factor contributing to enhanced service quality, demonstrating a statistically significant and favorable association. Furthermore, it has been discovered that a business's efficiency can be significantly impacted by the proper selection of suppliers. This study provides SME managers with insightful recommendations in light of these findings. They are urged to make strategic investments in information technology, which can improve data management, automate procedures, improve communication, and streamline operations, all of which can result in higher service quality and productivity. SME managers should also place a high priority on establishing and maintaining strong relationships with dependable suppliers who offer premium materials and components, given the critical relevance of supplier selection. This will have a direct impact on the final product's overall quality. Managers should give ethical issues top priority while making purchases in order to promote a responsible and ethical image.

Artificial Intelligence Implementation Strategy to Make It Happen Smart Government Indonesia Gold 2045

The world is currently faced with the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 era to realize Smart Government based on internet of things (IOT), big data, augmented reality (AR), cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI), additive manufacturing (AM), simulation, system integration and cloud computing. The application of Artificial Intelligence / AI to public services has been successfully implemented in Singapore and Finland. Meanwhile, in Indonesia there are still challenges that must be faced in implementing AI in public services to realize Smart Government, including information technology (ICT) infrastructure, policies and regulations, rigid bureaucracy, and the ability of human resources to use ICT. So, this research will explain the strategy for implementing AI in Indonesia using the Al-Besher Smart Government Framework based on the results of the SWOT analysis. This research uses qualitative research methods through literature review in the form of primary references, namely journals, articles, news and government performance reports. The research results show that the application of AI to realize Smart Government must carry out the strategy of IoT Enable System, AI Principles/Regulation/IoT Principle, and Shareholders to form a Smart Government Domain which contains 5 (five) Priority Fields for Indonesian Artificial Intelligence for 2020-2045. Apart from that, this research found that to realize Smart Government, administrative reform efforts must be made by forming autonomous organizations, increasing ASN competency by strengthening the meritocracy system, building collaborative governance and establishing a bureaucratic digital transformation law.

Impacts of Information technology and Risk Management on Cybersecurity Governance: Empirical Study on Malaysian Financial Institutions

"Cybersecurity threats have successfully targeted financial institutions worldwide due to the increased connectivity of seamless and borderless financial services. Considering that criminals have employed more sophisticated methods to exploit the financial industry, financial institutions must adopt an integrated framework to counter the attacks and protect financial infrastructure from exploitation. The study examined cybersecurity governance by extending the Integrated System Theory (IST), including information technology (IT) governance and risk management (RM) governance. Questionnaires were distributed to Malaysian financial institutions through corporate social media platforms, email, and Google Form in November 2021. The questionnaire used a five-point Likert scale and comprised Section A which focused on the respondents’ demographic profile, while Section B emphasised the research construction. A total of 128 respondents participated within four weeks. Data obtained from the questionnaire was analysed for descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analyses. Resultantly, IT governance and RM governance significantly and positively impacted cybersecurity governance. The study provides better insights to the practitioners, academicians, or researchers to identify which factors to be considered and emphasise before developing an integrated cybersecurity governance framework."

Safety and Feasibility of Tele-Cardiac Rehabilitation Using Remote Biological Signal Monitoring System: A Pilot Study.

Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is categorized as a class I recommendation in the guidelines for the management of patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, the penetration rate of outpatient CR is low in Japan. We designed a pilot study to evaluate the safety and feasibility of tele-CR using a remote biological signal monitoring system. A total of nine patients (median aged 70.0 (66.0 - 76.0) years (male = 6) with CVD who participated in phase II CR for 1 month under the exercise prescription using the cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) were analyzed. They participated in the tele-CR program with a remote biological signal monitoring system (Nipro HeartLineTM, Osaka, Japan, and Duranta, Miyagi, Japan) in the CR room and were instructed by the CR staff from a separate room in the hospital. We evaluated the occurrence and degree of remote biological signal monitoring defects as safety evaluation items, i.e., whether the patients could set the remote biological signal monitoring equipment, as a feasibility evaluation item during a 3-month period. We also performed CPET at the baseline and follow-up. Following the 3-month tele-CR program, a total of 122 remote CR programs were performed using the remote biological signal monitoring system. No patient experienced a lack of remote biological signal monitoring during exercise therapy. Significant improvement was noted in the exercise capacity, as assessed using the cardiopulmonary test (from 19.5 (16.7 - 20.2) mL/kg/min to 21.1 (17.3 - 22.8) mL/kg/min, P = 0.01, age ratio from 86% (75-96%) to 99% (78-104%), P = 0.01). One patient required support using the remote biological signal monitoring system, including information technology literacy. This study suggests the safety and feasibility of tele-CR using the remote biological signal monitoring system. However, further investigations are required to explore the suitability, effects, and cost-effectiveness of tele-CR as an alternative to center-based CR in the future.

Activation triggers: reconceptualization and review

Purpose- Businesses depend more on knowledge than other factors. Many academics have described the idea of absorptive capacity as a skill for handling outside knowledge. Since organizational phenomenon is a complex , the issue of absorptive capacity as a strategic and dynamic capability still merits further research consideration. Previous research shows that some of the variables are beyond the firm's control and moderate the effect of knowledge source and experience on absorptive capacity. The intensity of the triggers may have an impact on the firm's investment in absorptive capacity capability. The purpose of this study is to review and identify endogenous and exogenous contingencies that function as activation triggers on absorptive capacity based on the previous literature. Methodology- The theoretical model, hypothesis, and measurement indicators for the study's variables are described in this paper. Findings- The study of previous research shows that learning organization structure, business environment, organizational leadership, learning culture, management review, and competitive strategy play roles as moderator activation triggers in this study. According to the findings, businesses face complex and unpredictable business environment changes, as well as significant knowledge gaps. Decentralized and dynamic structures with participation in decision-making have a moderating effect on the capacity to absorb knowledge and make it easier for businesses to absorb new ideas. The results show that organizational culture fosters the development of fresh perspectives and encourages the integration of external knowledge to maximize the benefits of complementary knowledge sources. Also, the competitive strategy defines the scope and context of perception and learning. Other activation triggers that require more investigation include information technology, stakeholders, professional conduct, and research and development units. Conclusion- Managers can explore a variety of strategic alternatives and forge competitive advantages for their companies by using activation triggers as a group of variables to upgrade existing talents and develop new capabilities of absorptive capacity. Collaborative innovation evolution of the logistics and manufacturing industry in China.

The logistics industry and the manufacturing industry are mutually productive factors and service objects, which determines that the two must develop cooperatively. In the increasingly fierce market competition, open collaborative innovation is more conducive to improving the level of linkage between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry, and promoting industrial development. Based on the patent data of 284 prefecture-level cities in China from 2006 to 2020, this paper uses Gis spatial analysis, spatial Dubin model and other methods to analyze the collaborative innovation between the logistics industry and manufacturing industry. The results lead to several conclusions. (i) The overall collaborative innovation level is not high, and in terms of the evolution cycle, collaborative innovation has experienced three stages: embryo, rapid development and stable development. (ii) The spatial agglomeration characteristics of the collaborative innovation between the two industries are more and more obvious, and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration play an important role in the collaborative innovation between the two industries. (iii) The hot spots of collaborative innovation between the two industries are concentrated in the eastern and northern coastal areas, while the cold spots are concentrated in the south of the northwest and southwest areas in the late stage of the study. (iiii) The positive influencing factors of local collaborative innovation between the two industries include economic development, scientific and technological level, government behavior, and employment, while the negative influencing factors include information technology level, and logistics infrastructure. Economic development has a negative spatial spillover effect on surrounding areas, while the spatial spillover effect of scientific and technological level is significantly positive. This article aims to explore the current situation and influencing factors of collaborative innovation between the two industries, with a view to proposing countermeasures and suggestions for improving the level of collaborative innovation between the two industries, and also providing new ideas for research on cross industry collaborative innovation.

Information technologies in the vocational secondary education system: inoculation experience

Introduction. This article is devoted to the problem of finding optimal ways to include information technologies in the educational process. There is a definite potential for the use of information technologies in productive teaching methods. At the same time, there is a problem of refusing to use them primarily within the framework of informative and illustrative methods.Purpose. The study of the potential of the use of information technologies in education in the system of secondary vocational training.Materials and methods. The methodological component is represented by testing, comparative analysis, interpretation and generalization. The specifics of creating a practical training program as a basis for evaluating the effectiveness of the information technology inoculation in teaching activities at the college are substantiated.Results. The lesson was designed using the problem method and the method of individual projects. The entire cycle of pedagogical work was implemented and described in detail: from a lesson design to evaluating its effectiveness.Discussion and conclusion. The conducted lesson is evaluated as effective since students have demonstrated significant progress in understanding the topic and mastering skills during the initial control and final testing. However, the result of practical approval indicates some reassessment of students' knowledge of the completed program. There is a need for additional improvement of motivating components that contribute to the activation of creative potential and initiative of students. It was shown that the use of the problem method and the method of individual projects significantly contributes to the activation of cognitive and creative activity compared to the use of informative methods. The results of the work conducted can be considered a reference point for further theoretical and practical research in the field of effective use of information technologies in education.
