RSS Feeds Filtering from multiple sources using automated techniques of Natural Language Processing

The Internet's rapid growth has resulted in a surge of information, posing challenges for users trying to stay updated. The World Wide Web, with its diverse websites updated at varying intervals, necessitates efficient categorization of news articles. As the number of online news sources continues to rise, categorization becomes crucial for users to find information easily. Given the overwhelming volume of digital media information, categorizing news using algorithms and assigning multiple tags based on their category becomes essential. In the modern digital era, users face difficulties filtering and accessing relevant content tailored to their preferences due to the abundance of information from various sources. This study employs Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods for automated content filtering of RSS feeds. The developed system extracts feeds via RSS, generates headings and summaries, and employs NLP for categorization. This research has broad implications, offering opportunities for improved information management, personalized recommendations, and informed decision-making across diverse domains.

Cost performance analysis of green chemical industrial buildings using blockchain-BIM

ABSTRACT Blockchain technologies have recently garnered substantial attention in research and industry sectors due to their potential advantages across various industries. Blockchain provides an effective solution to address challenges by offering distributed, secure, and permissioned transactional ledgers. This paper introduces an innovative conceptual framework that integrates blockchain technology with building information modeling, specifically designed for digital transactions and smart contracts in the retrofitting of green buildings within the chemical industry. The core objectives include enhancing cost efficiency, fortifying cybersecurity measures, improving information management and sharing, simplifying payment transactions, and promoting sustainability in this specific context. The research, conducted at a chemical facility in Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia, utilizes Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to analyze questionnaire data and identify influential factors. Results indicate that incorporating Blockchain-BIM leads to cost savings of 4.42%, 4.45%, and 4.40% for low-level, medium-level, and high-level retrofitting categories, respectively, highlighting the significant role of Blockchain-BIM in enhancing cost efficiency throughout the retrofitting process.

How to Develop Information Systems to Improve Accessible Tourism: Proposal of a Roadmap to Support the Development of Accessible Solutions

The right to tourism has become a crucial aspect of society. Through more accessible tourism, it is possible to improve travel conditions for people with disabilities. Nonetheless, barriers still exist, with the lack of information about accessibility conditions representing a main obstacle. Information systems can help overcome these hurdles. However, it is verified that methodologies to support the development of accessible IS are currently very scarce. Thus, this study intends to develop an accessible IS for accessible tourism and propose a roadmap to support the creation of accessible IS solutions. To obtain the intended accessible tourism solution, an action research methodology was followed, which involved adapting already established frameworks, that combine Agile development and user-centered design techniques. Following the methodology, a web application named access@tour by action was created. This mobile solution is capable of improving information management within the accessible tourism market. From this experimental study, a proposal for a methodological roadmap emerged. This roadmap helps to better understand how to develop accessible IS by demonstrating techniques for gathering accessibility requirements and validating them. The roadmap is adaptable and suitable for IS projects involving accessibility. Both results provide a better perspective on how to integrate accessibility during the development of IS, possibly supporting future researchers in creating accessible solutions.

Incorporating health IT into primary care transformation.

To understand the role of health information technology (IT) vendors and health IT functionality in supporting advanced primary care. We synthesized multiple rounds of surveys and interviews (2017-2022) from a mixed-methods evaluation of Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+), a multipayer model developed by CMS. CPC+ was the first federal advanced primary care reform effort that formalized health IT vendors' roles in supporting health IT implementation and specified detailed health IT requirements for practices. We conducted content analysis to identify cross-cutting themes related to health IT for both practices and vendors, comparing similarities and differences across participants and (when possible) over time. Vendors and practices reported advances in registries and dashboards for improved information management within the practice as well as strengthened relationships between vendors and practices that supported health IT implementation. However, CPC+ practices noted several gaps or challenges using existing functionalities, and both vendors and practices reported broader challenges for more transformative health IT change, particularly the lack of interoperable health information exchange needed to support care management and care coordination. Key factors constraining vendors' investment in further advances included long product development schedules, making it difficult to respond to rapidly evolving model requirements. Vendors also shared that CPC+ practices represented a small fraction of their client base, so investing in developing new functionality was not strategic unless it was more broadly relevant outside CPC+. Continued collaboration among health IT vendors, practices, policy makers, and payers could support continued technological improvements, particularly related to information exchange and communication. Aligning requirements more closely with other federal and private models could also help mitigate the risk for vendors.

The war in Ukraine has become a dominant negative factor affecting the continuity of activity of almost every business entity, which actualizes the issue of improving management information support. The article aims to reveal the theoretical and methodical foundations of analytical support for business continuity management under uncertainty. It was substantiated that the primary condition for the ability of enterprises to continue their existence shortly is the financial ability to reproduce their value sustainably. It was determined that the main characteristics of the financial capacity of enterprises' business continuity are the financial condition, financial stability, and the potential of value reproduction. These characteristics are interrelated. The starting provisions for developing analytical support for business continuity management have been formed. A methodical approach to the comprehensive analysis of the financial capacity of continuity of activity was proposed, which is represented by three blocks: 1) preliminary analysis of internal and external factors; 2) comprehensive analysis of the potential of the enterprise's financial capacity; 3) modification of the results of a comprehensive analysis of the potential of financial capacity for making management decisions and developing financial forecasts of the enterprise's development. The results of an analytical assessment of the degree of influence of factors on the continuity of activity based on an expert survey serve as an information base for making management decisions to select priorities regarding the reproduction of value by business segments for the future. A comprehensive approach to the real assessment of the value of the enterprise is based on a combination of private estimates of the value of the enterprise by cost, income and market methods by calculating an integral indicator that takes into account the specific weight of each of the approaches. This approach allows the formation of information for making management decisions, developing forecasts regarding the potential for value reproduction, and preparing conclusions to ensure continuous activity in conditions of uncertainty.

SISTEM INFORMASI PELAYANAN PENDAFTARAN PASIEN RAWAT INAP DI PUSKESMAS MENGGUNAKAN PEMOGRAMAN PHP

This research discusses the development of an Inpatient Patient Registration Service Information System at Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) using PHP programming, as well as implementing DFD (Data Flow Diagram) and ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) models. The system is designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the inpatient patient registration process, covering patient information management, bed availability scheduling, and coordination among medical staff. The DFD model diagram is utilized to illustrate the data flow within the system, while the ERD is employed to detail the relationships between entities in the database. The implementation of this system employs PHP programming to ensure code reliability and readability. The research results indicate that the system can expedite the patient registration process, improve information management, and optimize the utilization of inpatient beds. This study is expected to make a positive contribution to improving healthcare services at Community Health Centers and provide a foundation for the development of similar systems in a broader healthcare service environment. Consequently, the research findings are anticipated to offer significant benefits in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of inpatient patient registration services.

Service to the community is the main objective in the implementation of public administration. In the implementation of public services, it must be based on service standards as a benchmark that is used as a guideline for service delivery and a reference for evaluating service quality as an obligation and promise of implementation to the community in the framework of quality, fast, easy, affordable and measurable services. The Danau Sipin sub-district office is one of the sub-district offices in Jambi City which provides public services in the field of population administration related to licensing and non-licensing. In the implementation of public services, there are problems regarding information management in terms of providing services in the form of information to the public. not yet effective and efficient or not yet digitized often makes it difficult for the community to obtain information regarding licensing or non-licensing requirements and procedures. Designing a video profile for the Danau Sipin Sub-district Office can improve information management in providing information services to the people of the Danau Sipin sub-district. The community can easily obtain information from social media such as YouTube which displays information related to licensing and non-licensing at the Danau Sipin Sub-district Office, Jambi City.

Towards cross-border CBDC interoperability: insights from a multivocal literature review

PurposeCentral banks from more than 100 countries, representing 95% of the global financial output, are studying Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). CBDCs can potentially enable safe, efficient and inexpensive cross-border and cross-currency payments in today's interconnected financial system. However, a critical factor influencing their expansion is cross-border interoperability. Therefore, there is a high demand from central banks, researchers, computer scientists, policy- and decision-makers to explore this topic further. Its better understanding will improve information management, enhance the decision-making process, and result in the redesign of central banks' processes and products (digital currencies).Design/methodology/approachThe authors investigate this novel and timely topic by conducting a Multivocal Systematic Literature Review (MSLR) on CBDCs cross-border interoperability. Additionally, the authors collect and analyze empirical data from various online resources such as CBDC trackers.FindingsThe authors conclude that although the academic literature on CBDC cross-border interoperability is very limited, valuable documents published by central banks and other entities discuss this issue and provide valuable insights. The authors paid particular attention to the reports published by the Bank of International Settlement (BIS) as it proposes three different models for CBDC cross-border interoperability. The study research reveals that most CBDC cross-border interoperability projects run by several central banks and other organizations explore these three BIS models. For this research, the authors performed an in-depth study of CBDC cross-border interoperability cases to investigate all three BIS models. The findings illustrate that although technical interoperability is feasible, plenty of work needs to be done in terms of standards and interfaces. In addition, other non-technical interoperability areas need to be explored and addressed, as there are concerns related to legal issues, regulations, jurisdictional boundaries, policy challenges and governance.Research limitations/implicationsResearch on CBDCs is progressing quickly, so, despite the authors’ use of an MSLR to identify the state-of-the-art, interested parties should be aware that new information is prone to appear imminently. Hence, this study work should be understood as a basis to build upon. Also, although the authors have included major academic databases in this study search, there is the possibility that a few papers may have been published in outlets that the authors have not covered. Finally, since the search in the grey literature returned thousands of hits, the authors had to define a stopping criterion for the documents to analyze.Practical implicationsThe authors provide insights on the current state of CBDC cross-border interoperability, which is valuable to policy- and decision-makers currently assessing the situation and deciding on avenues to pursue.Originality/valueThe authors provide an integrated and critical view of the developments of CBDC cross-border interoperability, considering not only available academic literature but also fundamental documents from key institutions such as central banks and related organizations.

Content still matters. A machine learning model for predicting news longevity from textual and context features

There is an ongoing debate about what is more important in the modern online media newsroom, whether it is the news content and worthiness, or the audience clicks. Using a dataset of over one million articles from five countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine) and a novel machine learning methodology, I demonstrate that the content of news articles has a significant impact on their lifespan. My findings show that articles with positive sentiment tend to be displayed longer, and that high fear emotion scores can extend the lifespan of news articles in autocratic regimes, and the impact is substantial in magnitude. This paper proposes four new methods for improving information management methodology: a flexible version of Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), a technique for performing relative sentiment analysis, a method for determining semantic similarity between a news article and a newspaper's dominant narrative, and a novel approach to unsupervised model validation based on inter-feature consistency.

Qualitative Analysis of the Impact of Contracts on Information Management in AEC Projects

Project information management in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) projects can be a challenging endeavor due to the complex nature of projects and the numerous sources and types of information required, including drawings, plans, specifications, and building information modeling (BIM), among others. AEC projects require stakeholders to develop temporary teams, develop work processes, and collaborate across organizational boundaries. Additionally, the numerous technologies used in information management, such as project management software, scheduling software, and BIM, require contractual agreements among project stakeholders to address these technologies’ potential risks while still allowing stakeholder collaboration to benefit project execution and delivery. Contracts are used to define project requirements and can be used to define different aspects of project information management, like required deliverables or stakeholder roles and responsibilities. While recent research has evaluated the relationship between BIM and contracts, there is a gap in understanding the relationship between contracts and information management more holistically. The objectives of this research were to gain insight into how contracts impact information management, identify barriers that exist in contracts related to information management, and to develop potential contract-related strategies to improve information management on AEC projects. Researchers implemented a qualitative analysis approach through semistructured interviews with 38 AEC professionals and the application of a systematic and iterative qualitative coding process. This research found that contracts can be used as a tool to influence the development and execution of project information management strategies. Specifically, contracts can be used to define deliverables, workflows, and software, as well as templates and forms. While interviewees discussed many contract-related challenges, they also proposed potential contract-related strategies to improve project information management. These strategies encompass three main categories: improving contract compliance, contract flexibility, and setting expectations. These findings provide insight into how contracts can impact project information management and provide practitioners with specific contract strategies to improve project information management.

Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of Andean Constructions: Structural Typification of Historical Churches Using Digital Technologies

ABSTRACT This paper describes the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for the structural typification of historical buildings located in earthquake-prone regions using digital technologies such as HBIM and Augmented Reality. The paper starts by presenting a detailed analysis of a selected sample of case studies in Peru in which key structural and architectural features were identified, aiming at proposing a preliminary typological classification. This typification was then optimized by analyzing its application in a larger data set consisting of 311 churches located in the Central Andes region. This allowed formalizing 12 structural typologies, which demonstrated to have the potential to provide an accurate description of the geometrical, material, and structural characteristics of Andean churches. The paper underlines the importance of combining digital technologies and comprehensive engineering analyses for creating tools that will facilitate further structural evaluations and seismic vulnerability assessments at a territorial scale. For the study, these tools improved information management processes, analyses, and post-processing tasks, and facilitated communication and decision-making among stakeholders.

Minimum Data Set of Personal Health Record (PHR) for Patients with Chronic Respiratory Diseases

Introduction: Chronic respiratory diseases are one of the four main groups of non-communicable diseases. People with these diseases need access to data to manage their disease and care plan. Personal health record (PHR) as a powerful health information technology tool can empower chronic patients to better manage their health status and become an active member of health care teams. This study is to determine the minimum data set (MDS) in personal health record for patients with chronic respiratory diseases.Materials and Method: This present applied research was done descriptively by Delphi method. First, the data sets of chronic respiratory diseases were extracted using a literature review. Then, using a researcher-made questionnaire and based on Delphi technique in two phases, it was evaluated by 5 pulmonologists.Results: The PHR data set for chronic respiratory diseases was classified into six categories, including physical examination and clinical observation, laboratory data, medications, specialized treatments, diagnostic procedures and vaccination. The 33 data element were identified as the main data elements with an agreement of more than 80% in the first phase of Delphi technique. Also, in the second phase, the four data elements proposed by the experts in the first phase were agreed upon above 80%.Conclusion: Given the role of PHR data in tracking the progress of chronic diseases, treating, and teamwork by physicians and other care providers, determining the minimum data set will be an effective step toward integrating and improving information management in these patients.

Findings were contextualized into the Benefit-Evaluation framework using six dimensionsResults:E-aushadhi provides a systematic approach for sourcing, storing, and re-distribution of essential medicine through its three-tier structure. Its user-friendly dashboard entails accurate entries, customizable reports, and easy tracking. It has reduced workload and improved information management with timely drug supply while allowing monitoring with key performance indicatorsConclusions:E-aushadhi has been successful in improving beneficiary access at public health facilities and may act as a backbone architecture for various digital interventions in the National Digital Health Mission that supports the universal health coverage.

Using green finance to promote global growth in a sustainable way

Green finance is gaining traction as a public policy objective. This paper summarises global and Indian progress in the field of green finance. Also, it examined the development in the field of the green finance in India, roadmap of the green finance sustainability, requirement for the significance of the green finance and Initiatives taken by the Government of India. Using a variety of data sources, we analyse public awareness (Google Trends) and financial possibilities (bank loans and bond issuances) for green initiatives. While public awareness and financing options have improved in India, our findings indicate that reducing asymmetric information through improved information management systems and increased collaboration among stakeholders could pave the way for more environmentally friendly and sustainable long-term economic growth. The need for the supply of sustainable financing to grow faster, already demonstrated by the financial gap for the sustainable development goals, has been reinforced from post-COVID19 environment, with escalation of climate issue. For this, investors, investees, middlemen and policymakers must discover methods to collaborate more effectively and with a greater sense of urgency.

Cognitive compatibility in modern manual mixed-model assembly systems

The compatibility concept is widely used in psychology and ergonomics. It describes the fit between elements of a sociotechnical system which is a prerequisite to successfully cooperate towards a common goal. For at least three decades, cognitive compatibility is of increasing importance. It describes the fit of externally presented information, information processing, and the required motor action. However, with increasing system complexity, probability for incompatibility increases, too, leading to time losses, errors and overall degraded performance. The elimination of cognitive incompatibilities through ergonomic measures at the workplace requires a lot of creativity and effort. Using practical examples from mixed-model assembly, improved information management and the use of informational assistance systems are discussed as promising ergonomic approaches. The ultimate goal is to avoid cognitive overload, for example in part picking or assembly tools choosing. To find a fit between externally mediated work instructions via displays and the subjectively used internal models and competencies is a challenging task. Only if this fit is given the system is perceived as beneficial. To achieve this, the assistance system should be configurable to fit individual needs as far as possible. Successful system design requires early participation and comprehensive integration of the assistance systems into the existing IT infrastructure.Practical relevance: Varied manual assembly requires a high degree of cognitive work. A rise in complexity of the assembly task increases the risk that cognitive incompatibility and thus cognitive overload will occur more frequently. It is shown that such unhealthy conditions can be countered by better information presentation and by the use of individually adaptable informational assistance systems.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the Effect of Management Information System and Knowledge Management on MSME Performance mediated by Organizational Commitment to MSMEs in Majalengka. The methodology used in this study is causality hypothetical testing using cross sectional, hypothesis testing is a method of decision making based on data analysis from controlled and uncontrolled experiments on SMEs in Majalengka.  The model proposed in this study shows the direct and indirect effect of Management Information System and Knowledge Management on MSME Performance Mediated by Organizational Commitment. Future research should study other variables that influence the influence of UMKM Performance such as marketing, access to capital, entrepreneurial abilities, human resources, financial knowledge and business plans. This research shows that Management Information System and Knowledge Management as well as Organizational Commitment affect MSME Performance either directly or indirectly. This research is a useful tool to improve MSME Performance through improving Management Information System and Knowledge Management as well as Organizational Commitment. This research model purifies the overall understanding that there is a direct and indirect influence of the Management Information System and Knowledge Management on MSME Performance mediated by Organizational Commitment

Appraising and Handling COVID-19 Information: A Qualitative Study.

Background. The coronavirus pandemic brought vast quantities of new information to the public for rapid consumption. This study explored how people most impacted by the pandemic have judged and perceived the quality of information regarding COVID-19 and regulated the information flow. Methods. This was a qualitative study of semi-structured interviews developed as a pragmatic study targeting several groups most impacted by the pandemic. Participants were identified through convenience, purposive, and snowball sampling methods. They were interviewed by phone or video conference. Results. Twenty-five participants were interviewed between 6 April 2020 and 1 May 2020. In terms of verifying information and judging its quality, people judged information by the source. People compared information across sources and attempted to verify the quality. Most felt self-assured about their capacity to judge information. Regarding the quality of information, many participants felt the information was skewed or inaccurate. Contradictory information was confusing, especially with a strong suspicion of ulterior motives of information sources impacting trust in the provided information. Yet, some recognized the iterative process of healthcare-related information. In terms of regulating information flow, many participants perceived flooding with information. To counter information overload, some became selective with types of information input. Many developed the habit of taking breaks periodically. Conclusion. Improving risk communication in a pandemic is of paramount importance. Organizations working in public health must develop ways to regulate information flow in collaboration with trusted community partners. Individuals also must develop strategies to improve information management.

Development of real size IT systems with language competence as a challenge for a Less-Resourced Language: a methodological proposal for Indo-Aryan languages

ABSTRACT In this paper, based on the example of our early works for Polish, we want to share our experience in the challenging task of developing NLP-based technologies in the situation of initial scarcity of digital language resources that ranked Polish among the Less-Resourced Languages. We present some of our projects aiming at language resources and tools we had to create in order to be able to process texts in Polish and develop real-scale systems with language understanding competence. The case study we present here is the rule-based system POLINT-112-SMS for improving information management in emergency situations. We argue in favour of the lexicon-grammar approach to the formal description of inflecting languages and present our current work on this grammatical paradigm. Our current work is on the implementation of the ideas presented in the first part of the paper on three prominent Indian languages, that is, Hindi, Odia, and Bengali.
