Problems, causes, and reflections on exhibitions of document collection institutions in China: Triangulation of literature analysis and empirical study

AbstractExhibitions have become a major highlight of information communication and innovative services in Chinese libraries, archives, and local chronicles museums in recent years. However, many of these exhibitions have been hindered in “dialogue” with their audiences, leading to a limited impact. Hence, this study employed a triangulation approach, combining literature analysis and empirical study, to identify the existing problems of libraries, archives, and local chronicles exhibitions. On the one hand, perspectives were refined from previous studies through literature analysis to establish a research foundation for exhibition issues. On the other hand, nine institutions were selected for empirical study through importance‐performance analysis (IPA) in east, central, and west China, integrating audience perspectives into problematic space. Based on the triangulation evidence, the problems mainly focus on three aspects: architectural planning, exhibition business, and public services, whereas the causes of the problems include stereotypes, late start points, and so on. The root causes appear to lie in the failure to transform from the document center to the public center, and the imbalance of curatorial theory research as a constraint bottleneck. These findings are expected to be utilized to enhance the specialization of Chinese documentary exhibitions, which attempt to overcome the difficulties of audience understanding and realize the real value of documents and the communication function of the media, thus promoting an effective dialogue between exhibitions and audiences.

Wellness Perception of South Korean Elementary School Students during the COVID-19 Endemic.

Using convenience sampling, 675 South Korean elementary school students (age 11-12 years old) were selected as participants in July 2023. Data for the study were collected via online and offline surveys between July and August 2023. The collected data were subjected to frequency, reliability, and multicollinearity analyses, independent sample t-tests, and importance-performance analysis (IPA). The findings indicated the following: (1) There was no significant difference in health management performance between male and female children. (2) Children who had not experienced COVID-19 infection, had a higher level of "hygiene management" performance. (3) Among children who did not wear masks during physical activity, "mental health management" and "physical activity management" performance were higher, while "hygiene management" performance was lower. (4) The IPA matrix analysis revealed that, compared to the COVID-19 pandemic period, "physical activity management", "dietary habit management", and "sleep management" still required improvement, while "hygiene management" and "disease management" appeared to have decreased due to the relaxation of epidemic control efforts. As per the study's findings, schools, local communities, and families should make efforts to develop and implement preventive and individualized health management programs that consider the individual characteristics of their children.

Marketing Mix Strategy in Waqf Online Fundraising Platform: An Importance-Performance Analysis

As an Islamic social finance practice, waqf has a considerable potential to develop community following maqashid sharia and SDGs. At IPB University, one of few universities with authority as a nazir, the implementation of waqf from ‘civa to civa’ on campus has huge benefits for the development of their surrounding without having to rely on government funding. This study, using Islamic Economics students as its respondent, tries to formulate a marketing strategy for waqf online fundraising platform employing an Importance Performance Analysis. Results show that there is still a noticeable gap between the potential and realized the value of waqf in this platform and demography, indicating that the performance has yet to reach the select value from respondents. Three attributes of the marketing mix in IPB’s online waqf platform that needed the most attention: social media promotion, mass media promotion, and integration with other fundraising platforms.

A Roadmap for Applying Digital Technology to Improve the Efficiency of Construction Supervision in Building Projects: Focusing on Korean Cases

Construction supervision is a key task that can confirm and inspect the project execution and support the creation of successful results. For the efficient performance of construction supervision, collecting various information necessary for the supervisor’s decision-making is a prerequisite, and the use of digital technology has recently been proposed as an alternative. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to present a roadmap for the step-by-step use of digital technology to improve the efficiency of construction supervision. This study was limited to the supervision of construction projects, which have a high proportion of contract volumes in the Korean construction industry and can directly affect people’s lives. This study reclassified Korea’s construction supervision works, collected data on the urgency and effectiveness of detailed works from various stakeholders, and derived a final roadmap using importance–performance analysis. The results of this study are expected to serve as basic guidelines that can be used when reviewing digital technologies that can be applied step by step to improve the efficiency of construction supervision work.

Analisis Kepuasan Pengguna WhatsApp Web Menggunakan Metode Webqual 4.0 dan IPA

Social media has become a lifestyle that cannot be ignored in recent times. One of the most frequently used online communication tools today is WhatsApp, which was created in 2009 by Jan Koum. In Indonesia, this application is used by all groups ranging from young and old, students to workers / employees who indirectly WhatsApp is a social media that has many advantages to become quite important in everyday life in society. The emergence of WhatsApp Web is a technology that gives its users the freedom to use more than one device, so that it can attract more users to use it. With so many users, researchers want to know how user satisfaction from this website regarding its usability, appearance, and service quality. Of course, to analyze the research, several methods are needed so that the analysis can run well. This research integrates the WebQual 4.0 and Importance Performance Analysis methods as a data analysis process. Researchers also used a questionnaire as a way to collect data from WhatsApp Web users, the questionnaire consisted of 23 questions with two indicators of expectations and performance. The results of this study are that there is a good influence from Usability Quality and Services Interaction Quality on user satisfaction and another case with Information Quality which has no effect. The recommendation for users is that WhatsApp Web cannot be accessed via a browser on a PC or laptop, it is possible that there is a VPN (Virtual Private Network) application, this application must be deactivated first.

The Implementation of Green Practices to improve the service quality of front office at K Club Ubud

The K Club Ubud in Gianyar, Bali, has used green practises to enhance the front office department's service quality. The goal of this study is to examine these activities and identify the green practises indicators that must be maintained and improved. Questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation were used to collect data for this study. The sample strategy used in this investigation was simple random sampling. In order to collect data, online surveys are distributed to respondents. As part of the processing, the questionnaire was subjected to validity and reliability tests. The servqual test (quality of service) and importance-performance analysis (IPA) are then employed as data analysis techniques in this study. According to the findings of this study, the application of green practices has been done in an optimal manner, as evidenced by the outcomes of the application of 3R activities. The results of the servqual test, which show that the front office department at K Club Ubud has seven gaps (+) and one gap (-) in the form of eight question indicators, can be used to describe how successfully green practices have been implemented. According to the importance performance analysis (IPA) results, the front office department must maintain the quality of the services for one indication while making improvements for the other.

Kepuasan dan Loyalitas Konsumen Restoran Bakso Bakwan Malang

Bakso is the popular food in Indonesia and has many kinds of variation. One of them is Bakso Bakwan Malang Cak Su Kumis which has been established for decades by maintaining its unique taste. This study aims to identify the characteristics, analyze the level of satisfaction and the consumer loyalty. In this study, there were 100 respondents included. The methods used in this study are descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and brand loyalty pyramid analysis. The results of the CSI analysis showed that the value of customer satisfaction has a score of 79,99 which states that consumers are satisfied. Besides that, analysis of the level of consumer loyalty shows that even though consumers are satisfied with the restaurant performance, consumers are not loyal yet. Hence, the performance improvement can be conducted by improving attributes with low performance such as sale promotion, serving time, name board, price and food hygiene.

Level of Farmers Satisfaction with Agricultural Extension Services in Gapoktan Mekarjaya Pulomulya Village Lemahabang District Karawang Regency

Agricultural extension is a non-formal education for farmers and their families with the aim of changing knowledge, attitudes, skills, and towards a better. The level of satisfaction is a feeling experienced by someone after making a comparison between the desired level of expectation and the level of service that has been felt. The problem in Gapoctan Mekarjaya is that the counseling that has been running so far is uncertain the role of extension agent when the counseling occurs if there is a program from the government, and when the program ends, there is no follow up of extension activities to meet the needs of farmers by existing counseling that can further increase the capacity of farmers. The sample is determined in a proportional stratified random sampling by using the purposive sampling method for farmers respondents with known population sizes, they can use slovin samples taken by 40 farmer respondents. Quantitative research techniques. The data analysis used is Likert scale, category, customer satisfaction index, importance performance analysis, and descriptive. The results showed that in general, the level of importance of extension services to farmers was included in the criteria for a high average score of 143,64 and a total average of 3,88. The performance of extension services to farmers is included in the medium criteria of an average total score of 120,16 and a total average total score of 120,16 and a total average of 3,11. The farmers satisfaction level is in the satisfied category of CSI value of 77,73. Extension services in meeting the needs and needs of farmers need to be prioritized.

Analysis of Internal Factors, Performance, Satisfaction, and Loyalty of Farmers Group Members in Seluma District

Eight farmer groups in Rimbo Kedui Village, Seluma Regency, have 220 members. This research aims to: determine the performance of farmer groups; the level of member satisfaction with the performance of the farmer group; analyze factors that influence the level of member satisfaction with performance; analyze the factors that influence the level of loyalty of members towards farmer groups. The research was conducted in September 2019. Data was collected through simple random sampling of 100 members of farmer groups. Data were analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-PLS methods. The research findings show that the overall performance level of each attribute is lower than the average value of members' interest in farmer groups, which reached 74.20%. The farmer group performance variable has a significant influence on the satisfaction variable. Then, the satisfaction variable also significantly influences the loyalty variable. The level of loyalty of farmer group members in Rimbo Kedui Village is within the loyal criteria.
 

Is It Training Enough? Professional Competence in Catering Quality for University Food Canteen Employees.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between professional competence and the training provided for canteen staff in Chinese universities. This study's methods included a survey questionnaire, and importance-performance analysis (IPA) was used for analysis. The questionnaire distributed to canteen staff in Chinese universities considered eight dimensions and 39 questions to evaluate the relationship between the staff's professional competence (performance level) and the training provided (importance level). "Focus on consumers", "Employee hygiene knowledge", and "Food quality" indicated poor professional competence for employees and insufficient training from the canteen. Our findings improve these circumstances by providing recommendations for future training. The research results provide guidance for managing and training university canteen employees and recommendations for improving the quality of catering.

Enhancing competency in infection prevention and control: Identifying priorities for clinical nurse educational needs

BackgroundHealthcare-associated infections (HAIs) have become a significant concern globally, posing risks to patients and imposing social and economic burdens. Competency in infection prevention and control (IPC) practices is essential for nurses to effectively reduce the risk of transmission. However, there is a lack of research on educational needs for competency in IPC practices. ObjectivesThis study aimed to assess and prioritize educational needs for the development of educational content focused on the IPC practices of clinical nurses. DesignA descriptive cross-sectional design was utilized. SettingsThis study was conducted at six general hospitals located in five urban regions in South Korea, each with 100 to 300 beds. ParticipantsA total of 226 nurses were recruited as participants for this study. MethodsData were collected from June to July 2021. A total of 226 nurses participated in this study. After examining the perceived importance and current performance of attributes related to IPC, educational needs were identified by paired-sample t-test, importance-performance analysis, Borich's needs analysis, and the Locus for Focus model. ResultsItems related to IPC were found to have lower performance than importance, highlighting the need for education. Educational needs were the highest for items in the “IPC practices according to microorganisms” category, such as MRSA, VRE, antimicrobial-resistant organisms, Clostridium difficile, scabies, and AIDS. Items in the “isolation precautions” category, including standard precautions, transmission-based precautions, management of isolation rooms, and wearing PPE, also demonstrated high priority in terms of educational needs. The findings suggest the need for training programs for clinical nurses with a focus on specific areas for improving IPC competency. ConclusionsThe development and implementation of training modules tailored to the educational needs of clinical nurses may enhance their skills, knowledge, and attitudes, ultimately resulting in improved performance.

How do family support factors influence college students’ online-startup thinking?

Purpose The purpose of this study is to present the relationship between family support factors and Chinese college students’ online-startup thinking on live streaming platforms. Considering China's specific online entrepreneurial environment, this paper divides Chinese college students’ online-startup thinking according to the liberal–conservative thinking theory. This study classifies family support factors based on the tangible–intangible resource division theory. Different tangible and intangible factors have different impacts on their online-startup thinking. Design/methodology/approach This study tests 588 samples based on the partial least squares path modelling and variance-based structural equation modelling. This study promotes importance-performance map analysis to explore additional findings of influencing factors and provide suitable suggestions for Chinese college students and related departments. Findings Tangible family support factors, such as labour resources support, and intangible family support factors, such as verbal encouragement, can positively enhance Chinese college students’ liberal thinking to online-startup and decrease their conservative thinking. Meanwhile, according to importance-performance map analysis results, verbal encouragement from the intangible unit instead of financial resource support from the tangible unit has a higher total effect and performance on Chinese college students’ liberal thinking and conservative thinking. Originality/value This study draws on psychology research based on Chinese college students’ unique entrepreneurial mentality. This paper divides Chinese college students’ thinking in online-startups into liberal thinking and conservative thinking based on the liberal–conservative thinking theory. Meanwhile, according to the feature of Chinese family support factors, this paper classifies various elements based on the tangible–intangible resource division theory, which is helpful for scholars to understand that the student perceptions of the value of family support are critical to the success of the online-startup.

Determination of the Development Strategy for the Labuan Bajo Waterfront Based on Visitor Satisfaction

The existence of the Labuan Bajo Waterfront is relatively new. However, the Labuan Bajo Waterfront itself has become a tourist attraction in Labuan Bajo. Therefore, a study is needed to determine tourist satisfaction with the Labuan Bajo Waterfront and design a strategy to increase this satisfaction, especially in the attractions, accessibility, and amenities components. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling with a questionnaire as a data collection technique. This study used the Likert scale to analyze the level of tourist satisfaction and determine the design strategy using the importance-performance analysis (IPA) method. In this study, the data collected came from 194 respondents. The results showed that tourist satisfaction with the Labuan Bajo Waterfront was very satisfied. In addition, the results of the IPA method show that the Concentrate Here Quadrant is related to cleanliness and safety; items in the Keep The Good Work Quadrant are the condition of the pier or walk board, lighthouse, road leading, footpaths in the Water Front area, ease of visiting the Water Front area, seating/rest facilities, and vehicle parking areas; items in the Low Priority Quadrant are road signs leading to the Water Front Area, trash bins, lighting, information boards, and eating and drinking facilities. The Possible Overkill Quadrant is related to tourism/entertainment activities in the Waterfront Area. Thus, even though the satisfaction level of Waterfront visitors is very satisfied, a destination development strategy is needed to improve quality related to cleanliness and safety.

确定医疗旅游的目的地竞争力： 基于AHP-QFD框架的研究

This study investigates the competitiveness of Alanya, a medical tourism destination in Türkiye, and determines appropriate strategies using the analytical hierarchy process and quality function deployment. Data were collected from medical tourism experts to gain managerial insights into the factors affecting the competitiveness of medical tourism. The findings show that medical tourists primarily focus on medical factors such as competence of doctor and quality of treatment. The main strategies to strengthen competitiveness are to create a healthcare-free zone, to increase the number of accredited health care providers, and to encourage the involvement of doctors in academic research and ongoing training. For researchers interested in assessing competitiveness in medical tourism destinations, the study presents general determinants that should be considered in each destination. In addition, the findings show that each medical tourism destination should focus on its own determinants of medical tourism competitiveness when developing its marketing strategies. Finally, it shows that the analytical hierarchy process and quality function deployment approaches can be successfully applied in achieving destination competitiveness and strategic planning, with content validity and importance performance analysis.

Studi Tingkat Kepuasan Terhadap Pelayanan Travel Rute Palangka Raya-Buntok

Palangka Raya City as the growth center of Central Kalimantan and surrounding areas needs transportation facilities that can support the economy of the people. This study aims to evaluate the level of passenger satisfaction that has been achieved and identify which indicators need immediate improvement by applying the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method, the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method and the Service Quality method. The results of the CSI analysis produce a value of 63.88%, meaning that the overall level of travel service on the Palangka Raya-Buntok route is quite satisfactory and the results of the Cartesian diagram from the IPA analysis of the indicators that fall into quadrant I are that the travel driver is in good physical and mental health and does not smoke or play on his cellphone. while driving, the car room is smoke-free, and transactions and services are served quickly and precisely, quadrant I is considered very important, but performance is not optimal so, improving it is a top priority, a strategy that can be carried out by the authorities by providing direction to drivers and bureau employees travel journey regarding matters related to these indicators.

KEPUASAN KONSUMEN TERHADAP KUALITAS KULINER LOKAL MIE SAGU PADA UMKM DI KOTA PEKANBARU

Sago noodles are a local culinary dish made from sago. The presence of sago noodles will enrich the culinary treasures of Riau. This research aims to analyze consumer satisfaction with the culinary quality of sago noodles in Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique used nonprobability sampling followed by a judgment sampling method for 100 consumers who were purchasing sago noodles as respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods, Important Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer Statistics Index (CSI). The results of the Important Performance Analysis (IPA) research show that there are still several things that do not meet consumer expectations. The attributes that are the main priority in improving performance and to be improved are the sago noodle topping and serving speed. Several attributes are in a position to be maintained, namely taste, uniqueness, completeness of sago noodles, guarantee, maturity, product variety, appearance, price, and portion. Based on the calculation of the consumer satisfaction index (CSI) value for local sago noodle culinary, it is 62.46%, in the range of 0.50-0.66, meaning that consumers are quite satisfied with the level of attribute performance in local sago noodle culinary.

Online fundraising for NPOs via email marketing – A critical success factors analysis in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

AbstractThis study aims to empirically determine success factors in the email marketing as a sub-discipline of online fundraising of nonprofit organizations (NPOs). Hereby, it responds to the gap of knowledge as existing research has not in detail touched nonprofit email marketing. To explore success factors in NPOs’ email marketing, a detailed structural equation model, in which email marketing success acts as the final endogenous variable and the nine potential success factors function as formative latent exogenous variables, was developed. A quantitative survey was conducted with employees of NPOs from German-speaking countries. For data analysis, which was carried out with the software SmartPLS, 153 responses were utilized. Using aggregate and disaggregate analyses on the developed model, various critical success factors in NPOs’ email marketing could be empirically identified. Furthermore, an importance-performance map analysis allowed the identification of the most crucial measures for increasing success, as a low performance of the NPOs faces a high total effect on email marketing success. From the results of the importance-performance map analysis, it was possible to derive specific practice-relevant action recommendations regarding measures in which NPOs should prioritize an increase in performance. Therefore, in addition to its theoretical relevance, the study also has a strong practical value.

Design guidelines for sustainable utilization of agricultural appropriate technology: Enhancing human factors and user experience

Abstract The utilization of appropriate technology (AT) has become the Indonesian government strategy to increase productivity of agricultural commodities due to its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. However, the current utilization of AT remains suboptimal mostly due to design deficiencies that insufficiently account for human factors and user experience. In response, the aim of this study is to establish comprehensive AT design guidelines for sustainable AT utilization, focused on agricultural processing machines. An intensive observation was initially conducted in a rural community in Indonesia, to summarize difficulties faced by AT users. Supported by an exhaustive review of literature, a total of 44 human factors related design criteria were defined. Subsequently, these criteria underwent rigorous validation through a questionnaire administered to 197 respondents, consisting of AT designers, experts, and users. Employing the framework of principal component analysis (PCA), novel dimensions of AT design criteria were suggested, encompassing safety and error prevention, functionality and economics, user-friendly, low physical effort, physical workspace compatibility, and perceptible information. To augment the insights gleaned from the PCA, a matrix of importance-performance analysis was created, affording a map of the relative significance and concurrent performance of the defined criteria. The implications of this study are further discussed.

Critical Success Factors For Quality Improvement Projects In Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia

Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors influencing the successful implementation of quality improvement projects. Theoretical framework: This research will focus on finding critical success factors for quality improvement projects and prioritizing improvements to improve the performance and success of quality improvement project implementation. Design, Methodology and Approach: The research used Smart PLS-SEM and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Smart PLS-SEM was first used to determine critical success factors for Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs). Furthermore, IPA was used to determine the position of each factor based on its importance and achievements. Findings: The result showed all dimensions and indicators significantly affect the success of quality improvement projects. The dimension with the highest outer loading value is the quality performance measurement dimension. The next step is measured using the IPA method to determine the critical factors for project success. The results of the IPA analysis show that quality control and leadership are crucial factors in the success of quality improvement projects in the second quadrant. At the same time, the factor that prioritizes improvement is quality assurance (first quadrant). Research, Practical & Social implications: Research, Practical, and Social Implications: The research implies that quality control and leadership are critical success factors for quality improvement projects. Leadership plays an essential role in implementing quality improvement projects, and leadership commitment is an important key to the success of these projects. In addition, there is a requirement for support from leadership regarding resource allocation. This resource allocation includes labor, costs, information systems, machines, and tools. Another factor that is critical to the success of these projects is quality control. Implementation of quality control has a vital role during the quality improvement project process and after the project. With quality control, the product suits the specifications and standards and meets the targets and standards set. Products that track the results of the implementation of quality control can ensure that the product's quality is guaranteed and follows the target set. Originality/Value: This research combines two methods to determine the critical success factors in implementing quality improvement projects. Previous research, using SEM-PLS and IPA method measurements, was carried out separately, measuring the importance and performance levels. In this study, the outer loading results in the original sample measurement with SEM-PLS for importance value in the IPA method.

EVALUASI KUALITAS PELAYANAN PRIMA CARGO HANDLING TERHADAP KEPUASAN PELANGGAN PADA PT. GAPURA ANGKASA CABANG DENPASAR

This study aims to determine the quality of excellent service to cargo handling service officers at PT. Gapura Angkasa Denpasar Branch to find out the service attributes that require top priority in improvement in order to formulate a strategy for improvement. The population in this study was customer cargo of 2911 people, determining the sample size using the Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 96.7 rounded up to 97 people. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistics, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer SatisfAction Index (CSI) with quantitative data types. The results of this study indicate that the quality of service is not entirely satisfactory with the value of the level of conformity 84%, the average value of performance and expectations of 3.92 and 4.67 then the value of the gap is -0.75 and the level of customer satisfAction with the services provided is 78.63% meaning quite satisfied. Service attributes that need improvement are the dimensions of Attitude (Attitude), Attention (Attention) and Appearance (Appearance). The formulated strategy includes, conducting training programs in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), implementing 3S procedures (Greetings, Smiles, and Greetings), a new service procedure was made in accordance with the company's standard operating procedures (SOP) and the company held training programs on excellent service quality in proper communication techniques.
