This research has a purpose to find out how the form of social services at the Nusa Putera Children's Social Home in restoring the social functioning of children at the Tanjung Morawa Youth Social Service UPT, North Sumatra. Social services provided to foster children are job skills training and social guidance. The purpose of this activity is so that the assisted children can live independently and are no longer out of school and to help the family economy. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative research method approach. The resource persons for this research were 17 people. The focus of this research is to see how the program planning process, program implementation process and children's social functioning. All service processes at UPT PSAR Tanjung Morawa are based on social work methods and basic science concepts of Out-of-school Education and community empowerment. Cost-effectiveness and implementation process of a running-related injury prevention program (RunIn3): Protocol of a randomized controlled trial

BackgroundRunning is one of the most popular and accessible physical activities in the world. However, running-related injuries are unfortunately very common. Scientific evidence is limited and scarce regarding (cost-)effectiveness and implementation process of interventions for running-related injuries prevention. Thus, the objective of this study will be to investigate the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and implementation process of a running-related injury prevention program (RunIn3). MethodsThis is the protocol of a pragmatic hybrid type 1 randomized controlled trial. There will be 530 runners over 18 years old, without running-related injuries in the last 3 months from São Paulo, Brazil. This program will be delivered online with two broad actions: (1) to provide feedback on individual training characteristics and running-related injury risk; and (2) providing/enhancing knowledge, skills and self-efficacy on running-related injury preventive behaviors. The primary outcome will be the proportion of runners reporting running-related injuries. The secondary outcomes will be preventive behaviors, direct and indirect costs, and implementation outcomes. The main effectiveness analysis on the primary outcome will be performed using linear probability mixed models in order to allow outcome changes over time and to yield the absolute risk reduction between-groups. DiscussionThe main hypothesis of this study is that the RunIn3 program will be effective in reducing the running-related injury risk and in promoting preventive behavior, either by increasing the frequency of healthy behaviors or by reducing the frequency of risk behaviors. Moreover, if the RunIn3 program is effective in reducing the running-related injuries risk, we believe that this effect would go alongside with a reduction of societal costs. Implementation of Knowledge Alliance in Air Transport into Educational System of Slovak Republic

The paper is focused on analysing the creation process of a new master study program “Information Technologies Applied in Aviation” (ITAA) as a response to the growing need for education process improvement in the field of air transport. For global aviation education it was important to develop and create such an international teamwork of professionals from aviation industry to realistically address proposed changes suggested by academia involved in our survey research. We found necessary to adapt learning programs and teaching methods to the needs of future working generations (e.g., Millennials). Undeniably, millennials generation is generally characterized by an increased use and familiarity with digital technologies. To meet the learning needs of these future generations, teachers need to shift from traditional teaching methods and adopt educational approaches that are more in line with the way students learn these days. The creation of Knowledge Alliance in Air Transport that managed to analyse the global market of occupations and qualifications in the field of air transport became a solution to this issue. ITAA study program has been based on the results of qualification analyses, on the list of current occupations, as well as on future occupations in the aviation sector. In order to begin with the implementation process of this new program, a new methodology was required for the sectoral qualification’s framework and the recognition of prior learning and work experience in aviation. ITAA contains these elaborated new teaching methods.

Methodological approach to development and implementation of the Small Nuclear Power Plants program

The article considers perspectives and institutions for innovative nuclear energy subsector – a small and medium-sized nuclear power plants (SNP). The features of the technologies, prospective sites for their introduction, topics for priority research work, as well as mechanisms for the creation of a new sub-sector of nuclear energy are briefly discussed. The advantages and opportunities of such approach to the energy supply of autonomous and isolated consumers located primarily in remote areas and in the Arctic are indicated. Special attention is paid to the problems of technological and operational safety, economic efficiency, and personnel training. The methodological framework provides a brief integrated description of the possibilities provided by dual-use technologies in solving national economic issues; a list of priority research areas to clarify assessments of the financial and economic efficiency of the SNP subsystem within the Russian nuclear energy industry; as well as proposals for personnel training to ensure a trouble-free and efficient Program implementation process.

Implementing longitudinal integrated curricula: Systematic review of barriers and facilitators.

The increase of longitudinal integrated curricula in medical schools worldwide represents the shift towards an outcome-oriented education. This novel model allows comprehensive student-patient interactions over time and integrates the educational content across disciplines. According to quantitative research, students, patients, doctors and communities benefit from this educational model in terms of participant satisfaction, learning outcomes and clinician recruitment. However, quantitative research does not provide detailed information on programme implementation processes. Therefore, this review aims to summarise facilitators and barriers of programme implementation reported in qualitative and mixed methods studies. The authors reviewed the literature about facilitators and barriers for the implementation of longitudinal integrated curricula in undergraduate medical education programmes. The systematic search was conducted in MEDLINE, Embase and PsycINFO on 2 December 2019. The authors used the CASP checklist for qualitative research for the critical appraisal and summarised the results across studies using thematic content analysis. The authors screened 1682 reports. Twenty studies examining 17 different curricula met the inclusion criteria. Most curricula were implemented in the United States (n=6/17), Australia (n=5/17) or Canada (n=4/17). Programme implementation is facilitated and hampered by its educational components (eg continuity of supervision, safe learning environments), organisational structures (eg community involvement) and participating students' and staff' motivation and personality. The critical appraisal revealed that several studies lacked transparent documentation and adequate reflection on the researcher-participant relationship (n=20/20), data collection instruments (n=12/20) and recruitment strategy (n=4/20). The authors derived practical recommendations for the implementation of undergraduate, patient-centred, integrated medical curricula. Programme managers need to define and communicate common objectives with all participants. They should clarify the implementation of the objectives in all processes in a transparent and structured manner. Considering reporting guidelines, future studies in this field should document more transparently the methods used to gain qualitative insights and the researchers' personal involvement.

The Implementation of the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) Program in Malang Regency Land Office

Pendaftaran Tanah Sistematis Lengkap (PTSL) or Complete Systematic Land Registration is a program under the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/ National Land Agency (ATR/ BPN) in response to new directives from President Joko Widodo in 2016 to register all yet 79 million unregistered land parcels before 2025. The organization and its officers are still adapting to the sudden change in work rhythm from the usual target of 1 million land parcels per year to 5 million land parcels that gradually increases every year further. This research employs the descriptive method with the qualitative approach to study the process of PTSL program implementation in Malang Regency Land Office during the year of 2017 and 2018. By measuring success of the PTSL program implementation, it can be concluded that the goal of PTSL program in Malang Regency Land Office was achieved and PTSL program was delivered as expected.

Challenges of educational change in remote areas: An investigation on the implementation process of Education Priority Area Experimental Program

<p>本研究以參與「教育優先區─成功專案」之四個區19所國中小為研究對象，透過文件分析及質性訪談，分析成功專案籌備及實施第一年期間（2014至2015年）在四個區的運作情況。研究旨在探討專案學校如何推動成功專案、剖析成功專案在多大程度上促進改變，及阻礙改變產生的因素。研究發現區計畫書的經費配置取決於規劃者對基本學力的重視程度，區計畫書規劃策略深受學校行政教學分工及教育優先區計畫執行經驗之影響。成功專案在區層級所產生的改變為促進區內學校的交流與對話，在學校層級觀察到的改變則是調整補救教學實施和促進弱勢家長參與策略。缺乏行政權、共同討論時間和整合經驗，及人員流動是啟動與維持區變革之挑戰。本研究提出四項建議：（1）以提升學生基本學力為國中小整合主軸，發展行政人員課程領導能力；（2）引進結構化的補救教學模式，搭配與現場教學工作銜接的培訓課程，提升教師分析學生學習成效及差異化教學知能；（3）建立區內及校內行政人員與教師對話討論機制；（4）提供討論的鷹架與專業伴隨，以提升專案的綜效。</p> <p> </p><p>Since 1996, Taiwan has been implementing the Educational Priority Areas (EPA) Program to reduce the achievement gaps between students in different regions. However, according to the results from PISA, TIMSS, PILRS and the Basic Competence Test, the achievement gap has widened between urban and rural students over time. The Taiwanese Ministry of Education piloted the ""Success Program"" from 2014 to 2017, an experimental program in order to reform the EPA Program. This study sought to investigate the implementation of the Success Program. The researcher conducted semi-structured interviews with 26 school principals, division heads and teachers recruited from participating schools and utilized content analysis to analyze challenges, difficulties and compromises during the first two years of implementation. The purpose was to explore the extent to which the Success Program promoted educational change, the advantages and limitations of zone-based intervention, as well as the factors hindering educational change. Suggestions are provided for improving area-based intervention. Results: The results indicate that the Success Program facilitated inter-school cooperation among elementary teachers at the zone level. Besides, the adjustment of remedial teaching and parental involvement strategies were observed at the school level. However, no change was found at the classroom level. In addition, there was a goal displacement at the school level. In terms of zone integration, lacking of administrative power, short of discussion time, insufficient collaboration skills as well as high teacher turnover rate were main challenges of initiating and sustaining educational change. Policy recommendations: (1) Cultivating instructional leaders and concentrating the focus of zone integration on basic competences. (2) Providing instructional guidance and introducing school-based workshops to strengthen instructional practices. (3) Establishing the discussion mechanism between the administrative team and teachers. (4) Providing scaffolding and expert consultations to support collaborative discussions.</p> <p> </p>

Abstract PO-028: Role of community outreach activities in cancer prevention in Kenya

Abstract Background: International Cancer Institute (ICI) is a leading organization with a pro- actively evolving approach in care, research, training and advocacy with a focus on cancer control in sub-Saharan Africa. ICI was started in May 2019 and is working in more than 15 counties in Kenya. The goal of ICI is to produce quality patient outcomes working with a team of highly qualified healthcare professionals. Treatment and care for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in sub-Saharan Africa and specifically for cancer is expensive and not accessible to the entire population. There is evidence that most cases are diagnosed at stage 3 and 4 making intervention options minimal at that level. However, early screening for cancers ensures early diagnosis as well as awareness creation on the need for continuous screening. Aim: To conduct community outreach activities with an aim of promoting prevention, early diagnosis and linkage to care for cancer. Strategy: ICI, using advocacy, as one of its core pillars, raises awareness at local and national levels through mass public health education on NCDs and screening. This is conducted by the ICI outreach team which is multidisciplinary and includes Clinicians, an Oncology Pharmacist, an Oncology Nurse, a Palliative care Nurse, a Patient Care coordinator, a Monitoring and evaluation expert, Program management technical experts, Data management expert as well as a Histotechnician. The ICI team works with counties to develop and plan for community mass screening events. Program Process: Counties partner with ICI for support in the establishment of county NCD treatment and care programs. A technical working group (TWG) with representatives from both the County health management team and ICI is then formed to guide the integrated NCD program implementation process. Outcomes: Establishment of comprehensive cancer centers where routine screening for cervical, breast and prostate cancers as well as diabetes and hypertension can be done in addition to diagnosis and treatment at county level. Coordination of community mass screening events in selected sub-county hospitals is then done from the established cancer centers. The integrated NCD program partnership offers capacity building for County healthcare providers (HCPs) through mentorship and skills training in cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, palliative care and survivorship. Conclusion: Comprehensive community outreach activities are avenues for awareness creation and early detection of cancers. Integrated NCD programs incorporating diabetes and hypertension in cancer programs creates wider community impact and plays a great role in reducing the number of cases being diagnosed at late stages. Changes in practitioners\u2019 attitudes, perceived training needs and self-efficacy over the implementation process of an evidence-based parenting program

BackgroundEvidence-based family support programs such as the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program have the potential to enhance the well-being of children and families. However, they cannot achieve their expected outcomes if insufficient attention is paid to the implementation process. It has been demonstrated that practitioners’ attitudes towards evidence-based programs (EBPs), perceived training needs and self-efficacy for working with parents influence implementation outcomes (e.g., program acceptability, adoption, adherence and sustainability). At the same time, the experience of being involved in the implementation process of an EBP could enhance practitioners’ perceptions of the initiative. This study aimed to assess changes in practitioner’s attitudes, perceived training needs and self-efficacy over a two-year EBP implementation process, in interaction with their appraisal of their organization’s capacity to implement the EPB.MethodsIn the province of Quebec, Canada, Triple P was implemented and evaluated in two communities. Ninety-nine practitioners from various organizations completed questionnaires shortly before their training in Triple P and two years later.ResultsFindings show that practitioners who displayed more initial skepticism regarding their organization’s capacity to implement the program reported greater improvements in attitudes over time, while practitioners who showed more optimism at baseline reported a greater decrease in their perceived training needs. Practitioners’ self-efficacy increased moderately regardless of perceived organizational capacity.ConclusionsThese results are encouraging given that more positive perceptions of EBPs could foster the systematic use of these programs in communities, for the potential benefit of a greater number of families.

Identifying pathways for large-scale implementation of a school-based mental health programme in the Eastern Mediterranean Region: a theory-driven approach.

Globally there is a substantial burden of mental health problems among children and adolescents. Task-shifting/task-sharing mental health services to non-specialists, e.g. teachers in school settings, provide a unique opportunity for the implementation of mental health interventions at scale in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). There is scant information to guide the large-scale implementation of school-based mental health programme in LMICs. This article describes pathways for large-scale implementation of a School Mental Health Program (SMHP) in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR). A collaborative learning group (CLG) comprising stakeholders involved in implementing the SMHP including policymakers, programme managers and researchers from EMR countries was established. Participants in the CLG applied the theory of change (ToC) methodology to identify sets of preconditions, assumptions and hypothesized pathways for improving the mental health outcomes of school-aged children in public schools through implementation of the SMHP. The proposed pathways were then validated through multiple regional and national ToC workshops held between January 2017 and September 2019, as the SMHP was being rolled out in three EMR countries: Egypt, Pakistan and Iran. Preconditions, strategies and programmatic/contextual adaptations that apply across these three countries were drawn from qualitative narrative summaries of programme implementation processes and facilitated discussions during biannual CLG meetings. The ToC for large-scale implementation of the SMHP in the EMR suggests that identifying national champions, formulating dedicated cross-sectoral (including the health and education sector) implementation teams, sustained policy advocacy and stakeholders engagement across multiple levels, and effective co-ordination among education and health systems especially at the local level are among the critical factors for large-scale programme implementation. The pathways described in this paper are useful for facilitating effective implementation of the SMHP at scale and provide a theory-based framework for evaluating the SMHP and similar programmes in the EMR and other LMICs.

Barriers and Facilitators in the Strengthening Families Program (SFP 10-14) Implementation Process in Northeast Brazil: A Retrospective Qualitative Study.

This study analyzed contextual barriers and facilitators in the implementation of Strengthening Families Program (SFP 10–14), Brazilian version, a family-based preventive program focused on the prevention of risk behaviors for adolescent health. SFP 10–14 was implemented between 2016 and 2017 for socioeconomically vulnerable families in four Northeast Brazilian states as a tool of the National Drug Policy. A retrospective qualitative study was carried out in which 26 implementation agents participated. Data from 16 individual interviews and two group interviews were analyzed through content analysis. The most recurrent barriers were the group facilitators’ working conditions, weak municipal administration, precarious infrastructure, inadequate group facilitator training methodologies, low adherence of managers and professionals, and funding scarcity. The conditions highlighted as favorable to the implementation were proper intersectoral coordination, engagement of involved actors, awareness of public agency administrators, municipal management efficacy, and efficient family recruitment strategies. Favorable political contexts, engagement of implementation agents, and intersectoral implementation strategies were identified as central to the success of the implementation of SFP 10–14, especially in the adoption of the intervention, community mobilization, and intervention delivery stages. Further studies should combine contexts, mechanisms, and results for a broad understanding of the effectiveness of this intervention in the public sector.

EVALUATION OF THE PROCESS OF IMPLEMENTING TAHFIDZ AL-QUR'AN LEARNING PROGRAMS IN INTEGRATED ISLAMIC BASIC SCHOOLS OF DOD DELI SERDANG

This study aims to evaluate the implementation process of the tahfizh Alquran learning program at SDIT DOD Deli Serdang through one of the components of the CIPP evaluation model, namely, Process Evaluation. The research question is focused on; 1. How is the implementation of the Tahfzih Al-Quran learning program? 2. What are the supporting factors for the implementation of the Tahfzih Al-Quran Learning Program, and 3. What are the inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Tahfzih Al-Quran learning program at SDIT DOD Deli Serdang? This research was conducted at SDIT DOD Deli Serdang. This study used a qualitative research method with an evaluation approach as the blade of analysis. Sources of data were obtained from the head of the foundation, the principal, the deputy principal, the tahfizh teachers, the homeroom teacher and assistant, the students' parents, and the students, through three methods, namely observation, interviews, and documents. The results of this study are that the implementation of the program has not been as planned, the teacher has not mastered the learning material, the learning method varies with the adjustment of the student's ability level, has not used electronic-based learning media, the students have not been able to follow the memorization target, and not all students can repeat/learn ' ah memorization. Supporting factors for the Alquran tahfizh program at SDIT DOD Deli Serdang; The willingness of teachers to improve the quality of themselves in tahsin and tahfizh of the Koran, concern for parents, the establishment of a tahfizh Al-Quran learning program as part of the school's vision and mission, the enthusiasm of teachers in improving self-quality in reading and memorizing the Koran, communication between teachers and parents. Inhibiting factors for the Alquran tahfizh program at SDIT DOD Deli Serdang; Lack of budget, teacher quality, transfer students, teacher attendance, teacher ability, parents' ability Koran, school facilities, on average students have career parents. There is no awareness of students to repeat their memorization.

Upscaling communication skills training – lessons learned from international initiatives

ObjectiveTo collect experiences and to identify the main facilitators and barriers for the implementation process of large scale communication training programs. MethodsUsing a multiple case study design, data was collected from leaders of the individual programs in Australia, Ireland, Austria and Denmark. The RE-AIM framework was used to evaluate the components: Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance of the programs. ResultsThe programs, all based on the Calgary-Cambridge Guide, succeeded in reaching the intended target groups corresponding to between 446 and 3000 healthcare workers. New courses are planned and so far the outcome of the intervention has been investigated in two countries. The fact that implementation, including educating trainers, relies on a few individuals was identified as the main challenge. ConclusionLarge scale communication training programs based on the Calgary-Cambridge Guide can be implemented and adopted in multiple different healthcare settings across a national health system culture. The importance of standardized trainer education and adaption of the programs to clinical practice was highlighted. Practice ImplicationsIn order to address the sustainability of the programs and to allow the intervention to scale up, it is important to prioritise and allocate resources at the political and organizational level.

Examining the effect of the individual characteristics of implementers and the interaction of multiple relationships on the structure of psychosocial intervention teams

BackgroundTeams’ structure may undergo modifications due to the individual attributes of actors and collective-level variables. This research aims to understand the effect of extensive experience working in the program and the simultaneous interaction among different relationships in the network structure of a team of implementers. The Psychosocial Care Program for Victims of Conflict is implemented by psychologists, social workers, and community advocates.MethodsA cross-sectional study was carried out. Multivariate analysis, quadratic assignment procedures, and graphic visualization are used to (a) determine how seniority affects the professionals’ level of centrality in the program and (b) clarify how the interaction among professionals favors new relationships.ResultsLonger-lasting professionals in the program report stronger network bonding, predisposition to work, and information exchange. The nonparametric permutation test indicates an intense association between the information requests submitted and received and between the predisposition to work network and the network of received information requests. The results are discussed to optimize the teams implementing the intervention programs.ConclusionsNetwork analysis is a powerfull tool to evaluate program implementation processes. Analyzing the interactions among multiples relationships that emerge between members of multidisciplinary teams allows knowing how certain relationships (e.g., information exchange) triggering other kind of relationships (e.g., users referral). The implementers who have been collaborating in the program for a long time are key informants who can facilitate the process of adaptation of newly incorporated professionals.

Pengujian Black Box pada Sistem Informasi Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) dengan menggunakan Metode Boundary Value Analysis

Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) information system is a system used to record grades and other student data relating to the implementation of work practices in industry. This information system must be error free. If an error occurs can cause losses to stakeholders. To provide assurance that the information system developed has been free from errors, it is necessary to test. Testing is one level of the program implementation process that must be passed in order that an error can be found. Tests that can be said to be good are if the tests were initially found no errors and then errors can be found, even if only a small error. In testing the Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) information system it is proposed as a Black Box. Black Box testing has various techniques. Of the many testing methods currently available, the current testing will use the Boundary Value Analysis method. The technique of determining the limits that exist in the lower and upper values to be able to produce the actual value. The test results show that the information system developed has been error free and has good quality.

Evaluasi Program Gerakan Furudhul Ainiyah (Gefa) dengan Menggunakan Model Kirkpatrick

This study discusses the Gerakan Furudul Ainiyah (GEFA) which was conducted in Madrasah of East Java. To value its effectiveness, a comprehensive evaluation of the program and the process of program implementation needs to be conducted, and different evaluations need to be approved. There are several models that can be used to measure the effectiveness of the programs and the implementation processes such as the CIPP model, Stake Countenance, and the others. This study offers a program evaluation model that is the Kirkpatrick model that will evaluate in deeply levels, with four levels namely reaction levels, impact program level, learning change level and outcome level. From those various levels, they are equipped with instruments of assessment.

The problem of slums which is mostly inhabited by the poor is a complex and intertwined phenomenon, because it has long been a social problem in the community. One of the efforts of the Surabaya City Government to reduce uninhabitable housing is through the Slum Areas Social Rehabilitation Program (RSDK). Research on the Evaluation of the Slum Region Social Rehabilitation Program for Improving the Quality of Life of Residents was carried out to describe the extent of the Evaluation and Impact of the Implementation of the RSDK Program, using descriptive qualitative research methods based on the criteria of Effectiveness, Efficiency, Adequacy, Equality, Responsiveness and Accuracy. The results of this evaluation indicate that in general the Program Implementation was sufficient to meet the criteria targeted at the implementation program. In terms of efficiency, program implementation still has shortcomings due to the minimum timeframe specified and also the implementation process that is appropriate to the cost per stage. Adequacy is judged by the success of the development is still low due to complaints from some program beneficiaries. The similarity is seen based on the costs incurred for the Construction of Home Improvements have been carried out fairly. The level of community responsiveness related to program implementation is quite good because of the role of the local community in helping the program implementation process. The accuracy of the program implementation related to the results or program objectives are in accordance with what is desired. The physical impact that occurs with the construction of uninhabitable housing improvement programs can help the development of environmental conditions in the communities living in slums. Meanwhile, the social impact that occurs is to bring up value that is useful and useful for the needs of people's lives.
