Revitalization Of Language Learning Management Through Mobile Learning

The implementation of e-learning systems has resulted in new forms of pedagogical compulsion. The lack of planning stunned the lecturer, who may have taken impulsive moves to set up a range of media for their online sessions. This article explores the potential of digital technology to revitalize the Islamic University of Riau in English learning facilities and improve student learning outcomes. This study applies descriptive and qualitative research techniques to activate the opportunities contained in mobile applications for the benefit of learning English. Participants in this study were 25 ESP of second-semester law students at the Islamic University of Riau. Data were collected in two stages taking notes and a questionnaire to ascertain the extent of the study's outcomes and to explore Lecturer facilities and controls implemented in learning English through asynchronous learning with mobile learning. Findings show that reviving WhatsApp by offering student-planned activities improves students' English proficiency. The result was to create activities that encourage students to take a positive role and encourage their courage to speak English because the WhatsApp application can support activities and prepare students to take an active role.

Analysis of the Implementation of E-Learning in Melajah.id Using Human Organization Technology (HOT) Fit Model

This research is motivated by the absence of prior analysis on the success level of implementing Melajah.id e-learning and the performance analysis of the e-learning platform from the perspective of human, organizational, and technological support aspects. Therefore, the existence of this scholarly research is considered necessary as a consideration for stakeholders involved in the policy-making for the development of educational service quality in vocational schools. The purpose of this research is to assess the performance and success level of the implementation of the Melajah.id e-learning platform in use at SMK Negeri 3 Tabanan. For the indicators of the human variable, they include: (a) System Use and (b) User Satisfaction. For the indicators of the organizational variable, they include: (a) Organization Structure and (b) Organization Environment. As for the indicators of the technology variable, they encompass: (a) System Quality, (b) Information Quality, and (c) Service Quality. Data collection for the research was conducted through the distribution of online questionnaires using Google Forms, while supplementary data was obtained through observation and interviews to gather information that could not be revealed through questionnaires. Subsequently, the data analysis approach used to measure the success and performance of the e-learning system implementation was linear regression analysis as the quantitative method. Furthermore, qualitative data analysis was performed through content analysis of interview scripts and interpretation of observational data (photos and videos). The combination of the results from quantitative and qualitative analyses served as the basis for drawing conclusions and making recommendations regarding the analysis of the success of the Melajah.id e-learning implementation in the vocational school where the research was conducted.

The Effectiveness of E-Learning Portal from Instructors’ Perspective: A Case Study of Mutah University

This case study explores the efficacy of an e-learning portal as perceived by instructors at Mutah University. The research delves into the interplay between the user-friendliness, utility, and technical assistance provided by the e-learning portal and its overall effectiveness. Additionally, it investigates how the effectiveness of the e-learning system impacts instructors' satisfaction and their willingness to continue using the system. Data were gathered from 250 respondents through a self-administered questionnaire and subjected to thorough correlation and regression analyses. The findings reveal that the ease of use, usefulness, and level of technical support offered by the e-learning portal exhibited strong and positive associations with the overall effectiveness of the e-learning system. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the e-learning system was discovered to be significantly linked to instructors' satisfaction and their intent to continue using the system. These discoveries hold significant implications for the design and implementation of e-learning systems and can serve as valuable insights for decision-makers considering the integration of e-learning technologies within higher education institutions.

Review of Cloud Computing Framework for the Implementation of eLearning Systems

The rapid growth in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), combined with recent events such as the Covid-19 lockdown, has had a significant impact on traditional educational systems. Today, eLearning has become a widely accepted method for delivering educational services. As a result, the ICT infrastructure needed to be expanded to keep up with the increasing numbers of users, a wide range of learning services, and the growth of educational content. However, the volatile user load and the massive storage and transfer of rich data have led to a need for the effective utilisation of server-side system resources in providing eLearning services. Cloud computing offers a dynamic provision of virtualised resources, elasticity, scalability, pay-per-use and measured service with the ability to dynamically provision and de-provision computing resources as needed. In this paper, a review of cloud-based eLearning frameworks is conducted to identify the state of the art. Different frameworks for the implementation of cloud computing-based eLearning are identified and presented. Additionally, the review provides insights into the use of cloud computing in education, current challenges in eLearning implementation, deployment strategies, and the benefits of using cloud computing for eLearning implementation.

The factors influenced by stakeholder identification in E-learning systems: A survey

Identifying the appropriate stakeholder is an integral part of the requirements engineering process and the primary factor influencing system success. The E-learning system is a significant platform with a variety of stakeholders that must be identified. After the launch of the E-learning system, issues such as identifying stakeholders arise and threaten the system's continuity. Moreover, the use of non-scientific and incompatible methods for identifying stakeholders, as well as the limitations of some of these methods, are among other issues that are highlighted in this research. This study investigates the issue of Stakeholder Identification (SI) in the E-learning system and identifies the most influential factors influencing this significant issue. By conducting a comprehensive literature review and employing qualitative data collection and analysis, these factors are addressed. There were 35 survey questionnaires were distributed to experts, analysts, and developers in the field of the E-learning system in Malaysia in 2022 to collect the data. The results reported in this paper demonstrated that there are difficulties in defining the actual stakeholders, as well as a lack of knowledge in employing the appropriate techniques to identify them, which were then analysed and compared to generate the list of factors. The factors identified in this paper help industries understand how critical it is to identify the actual stakeholders of an E-learning system at an early stage. Therefore, industries should be able to develop stable and reliable E-learning systems. This research provides several contributions, including crucial theoretical and practical insights into how E-learning systems are used and adopted. Contributes to the current literature by outlining the key obstacles caused by SI concerns. Identify the most significant components of SI issues, i.e., information quality, time and cost, system utility, and technology. Finally, this paper provides important recommendations for academics, developers, and regulators, allowing them to better understand the critical factors of effective E-learning system implementation.

A Systematic Literature Review on the Implementation of E-Learning Platforms in the Covid-19 Pandemic

The covid-19 pandemic has escalated widely and gained attention among people throughout the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought an enormous impact on the lives of many people all over the world. It significantly affects various dimensions such as the economy, society, tourism, and education of many nations. Online classes were found demandable as an alternative to institutional closure during this unprecedented time. The successful implementation of e-Learning systems depends on how the program is perceived by students and instructors. The current review aimed to identify the global picture of e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and the perceptual difference among the world regarding online-based learning in the pandemic timeframe. 19 articles were selected for this review study. The findings of this review illustrated that although online teaching is one of the best possible ways to continue teaching and learning during the pandemic, student faces a lot of challenges in the use of online learning systems. The positive perception of students and lecturers has on the availability of strong technological infrastructure, adequate equipment, and professional training. The outcome of this review will help to improve the e-learning education policy such as a standard marking system, accessible internet network, and equipment for all students.

Software System Selection for Open University System

Software quality assessment is one of the key factors for the success of universities, so this study focuses on the study of technical quality. Measurement factors apply to universities in information systems, including software quality. The novel model is used to test whether the implementation of e-learning system in higher education institutions will succeed or fail. The scope of this investigation is free and the evaluated universities have open source e-learning systems that measure and evaluate quality according to our proposed software quality model. Educational Information System (AIS), which combines many software quality standards to help system analysts, system developers, and systems. Programmers in their AIS projects. Quality model, six quality characteristics are shown as the minimum requirements for creating a new model. This has been further enhanced by the expansion of the standard approach to measuring the quality of AIS based on a combination of several. Software quality standards used in these educational systems with new features. Using the novel model to test whether e-learning is implemented, the system will succeed or fail in higher education institutions. Our contribution and development will be discussed on this. The new model aims to guide educational institutions that are in the process of creating their e-learning system to evaluate and select the right software. Features that are essential for the success of the entire system. In addition, this paper provides several reviews of current methods used to select AIS components and outlines their disadvantages in terms of our advanced models.

Advanced Interactive Mathematical Tasks (DLO) for Moodle

In this paper, we will present the reasons for the implementation of eLearning system and different most often used learning models. The focus will be on mathematics in Moodle (LMS-Learning Management System) and on the possibilities of its use. Especially in the construction of new advanced interactive tasks in the field of derivatives and integrals. The main goal is to motivate students, encourage them to overcome theirs difficulties through an auto-study, giving them more confidence and making students keen on Mathematics. In particular, the idea of doing e-mathematics exercises within Moodle as friendly as possible for all users lecturers and students - will be presented.

ПАНДЕМІЯ COVID-19 ТА ЕЛЕКТРОННЕ НАВЧАННЯ ПРИ ВИВЧЕННІ ІНОЗЕМНОЇ МОВИ: ВИКЛИКИ ТА МОЖЛИВОСТІ ДЛЯ СТУДЕНТІВ ТА ВИКЛАДАЧІВ

The spread of COVID-19 poses a threat to humanity, as this pandemic has forced many global activities to close, including educational activities. To reduce the spread of the virus, education institutions have been forced to switch to E-learning using intelligible and free educational platforms, despite the challenges facing this sudden transformation. The focus of this study is E-learning from the perspective of students and teachers on the use and implementation of E-learning systems in higher education institutions (HEIs) in foreign language teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. This article aims to identify issues related to the use, advantages, disadvantages and barriers of E-learning programs at the university by comparing the views of students and teachers who use this method of learning in long-term unusual circumstances. Four aspects were identified and characterized, namely: the extent of the use of E-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, the advantages, disadvantages and obstacles of implementing E-learning in foreign language learning in in higher education institutions. In the course of our research, we have achieved some results that shed light on some of the problems, challenges and benefits of using E-learning systems instead of traditional education in higher education institutions in general and during emergencies. The most popular programs among teachers for online classes were highlighted and characterized in this article.

The Significance of Adopting E-Learning in Institutions of Higher Learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond

The confirmation of the first case of the Covid-19 pandemic in Kenya on 13thMarch 2020 led to suspension of face-to-face learning and closure of all schools and institutions of higher learning. In order to avoid massive loss in the development of human capital with significant long-term economic and social implications, institutions of higher learning were asked to adopt alternative ways and means to face-to-face instructional methods to enable learning to continue. This study points out that E-Learning had been widely adopted by Institutions of higher learning worldwide prior to COVID-19 pandemic. To date Institutions of higher learning have continued to use E-Learning in a blended mode in order to reduce the potential of COVID-19 transmission. The development of Information Technology, acceptance of E-Learning system by learners and instructors, prior experience in the use of E-learning platforms and need for self directed learning are some of the factors that have accelerated the adoption of E-Learning by institutions of higher learning worldwide. The findings of this paper show that the adoption of E-Learning by institutions of higher learning has numerous benefits and advantages. This study recommends that institutions of higher learning should involve all stakeholders in the development and implementation of E-Learning systems, develop E-Learning policies, carry out capacity building and change management, avail continuous technical support to learners and educators so that e-Learning is widely accepted and adopted

PERCEPTION OF ONLINE EXAMINATION STRESS AMONG STUDENTS OF TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMME

The outbreak of the pandemic, due to the spread of COVID-19, has catapulted the educational scenario throughout the globe. After the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the situation as a global pandemic on March 11, 2020, most of the countries went into a complete lockdown. Millions of stakeholders in the field of education, like researchers, academicians as well as students were forced to stay safe indoors by isolating themselves from the physical campuses. Thus, teaching-learning suffered the most and the mental health of learners stood threatened. To save the situation from getting worse, the conduct of classes switched over to online mode and e-learning environments were built in order to keep the process of education in momentum. In India, since face to face mode of teaching has been more prevalent, to stay connected, both the teachers and students were acclimatized with the collaborative technologies through workshops, webinars, and training in online mode. But the successful implementation of e-Learning systems came to depend on the receptivity and skill development of the learners, the attitude of the instructors, and the quality of learning content.

Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on some academic aspects of veterinary students of India

ABSTRACT Purpose This paper explored the impact of prolonged lockdown caused by coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic on the academic aspects of veterinary students of India and its relationship with their socio-economic status. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a study with 224 first-year veterinary students engaged in e-learning system from four veterinary colleges of India at the end of 7th week of lockdown using Google Forms questionnaire in a set of multiple-choice questions . The primary data were analysed using the non-parametric chi-square test, Kruskal–Wallis test, Wilcoxon rank sum test and Kendall’s tau-b correlation coefficients using the SAS software. Findings The pandemic situation exerted an effect over the socio-economic and academic aspects of the students. The alternate e-learning system of education was adapted to the veterinary students and the teachers . The techniques of e-learning were mostly useful for the students from less affected family with sound income. Practical implications The study suggests the decision-making for adopting e-learning system of education and also helps to assess the impact of lockdown in versatile socio-economic and diversified institutional infrastructural stratum of India. Theoretical implications Any education is effective when it results in changes of behavioural components such as knowledge, attitude, skill and action of an individual. Based on this basic theory, the study has been conducted, which will help the policy makers to make a strategic plan for the implementation of e-learning system as an effective alternative in teaching and learning of agricultural education system. Originality/Value This study provides a clear dimension about the degree of adoption of the e-learning system as a substitute of physical classroom teaching during crisis situation apart from any gender or institutes.

Proposed V-E-learning Model: Applying V-Model to Ensure the Quality of E-Learning System Implementation at Higher Education Institutions

Since March 2020, CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) pandemic has affected many sectors, including education sector at the global level and at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Preventative procedures have been taken, including suspending teaching and training for K-12 and higher education and moving to use distance education as an alternative to face-to-face education, with the continuation of the Corona pandemic, the Ministry of Education decided to consider the e-learning (distance education and blended education) as a strategic alternative to overcome crises threatening the educational process . With the widespread use of e-learning platforms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the interest of the quality of e-courses increased more than before. Therefore, this study proposes a model for ensuring the quality of e-learning and e-courses in higher education institutions and developing a set of evidence and suggested performance indicators that help those responsible for quality management to verify and validate the adherence to these standards. Dar Al-Uloom University was chosen as a case study of what was implemented during the Corona pandemic and the extent of the university’s commitment to this standards to ensure continuous improvement and raise the level of performance related to the e-learning system and its e-courses.

E-Learning as a Response to COVID-19 Pandemic: A preliminary study on College Students

There is a dilemma of accepting the new educational system, that we know as “e-learning” by students within educational institutions. We have to replace face-to-face education with distance education in response to the COVID-19. This form of distance education, e-learning, differs from conventional education: being suddenly, unreadily and forcefully implemented. This study examined and assessed the impact of e-learning to college students, during pandemic. An online survey was conducted amongst some college students in the Mechanical Engineering Dept, at Universitas Balikpapan using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The result of this study has confirmed the positive of direct effect variables (attitude, affect and motivation; perceived behavioral intention (ease of use technology, accessibility and cognitive engagement). This study suggests relevant parties to the education system, to improve the implementation of e-learning systems.

The Implementation of E-Learning System on Intensive English Course in Darussalam Islamic Institution of Blokagung in Academic Year 2019/2020

This study explains about the implementation of the e-learning system on the Intensive English Course in IAI Darussalam in the academic year 2019/2020. There are three problem statements of this study that are How is the implementation and the problems of the implementation of e-learning systems in the intensive English course, the last is how are the students' responses to the implementation of the e-learning system in the intensive English course. This study used descriptive analysis. The findings of this study concluded that the most common problem in the implementation of the e-learning system in the Intensive English Course is an internet connection. The implementation of the e-learning system on the Intensive English course has a slightly positive and tends to be a negative response from the students. They fully need face-to-face learning with their tutors. They argue that the e-learning system is not more effective than learning an Intensive English Course that does it directly.

Addressing Pedagogical Usability and Mobility Barriers in E-learning Systems: A Case of Youth Entrepreneurship Skill Development, Plan International Uganda

Adoption of E-learning systems to address youth self-reliance entrepreneurship skills knowledge gap in developed countries has been rapidly evolving and reached advanced stages. Nonetheless, in the developing world most especially Sub-Sahara Africa it is still infancy. Of recent, some Non-Governmental Organizations have attempted implementation of E-learning systems as alternative means to traditional elitist spaces to equip the youth with self-reliance job start-up skills. However, despite the usual challenge of ICT infrastructure development, pedagogical usability and accessibility concerns are key undermining barriers to this initiative. This study therefor focuses on design and implementation of a youth entrepreneurship skills E-learning system prototype, ported on mobile technology with an integrated informal lifelong learning model. The proposed infrastructure also accommodates a mobile learning tool that enhances access and usability concerns of out-of-school youth lifelong learners in developing countries like Uganda. System design and development was achieved through a user centred participatory design approach (UCD) in conjunction with Human access point (HAP) design technique. User requirements inform of low-fidelity card paper prototypes were later transformed into working system interfaces. The developed prototype with both web and native mobile tool simplifies the process of self-employment business start-up skills access and development using interactive videos. Similarly, the system guides a youth in selection of appropriate survival skills, and selection of the learning path based on one’s previous experience. In addition, the learning environment helps the youth to connect with skilled experts and coaches experienced in vast areas of the business. Conclusively, the platform helps survival skills providers to reach the unreached youth and monitoring of active youth ongoing projects. Evaluation of the developed system prototype was streamlined on the Unified Theory of Technology and Acceptance Model (UTAUT). From here user’s feedbacks on the developed prototype were gathered using Survey questionnaires. Study findings revealed that mobile technology can bridge youth survival entrepreneurship skills knowledge gap in developing countries. Similarly, youth survival skills provider’s responses on the developed prototype in terms of system access and usability were positive. Briefly, study findings revealed that personalized Smart mobile learning system architecture bridges pedagogical usability and mobility barriers in youth entrepreneurship skills development E-learning systems implementation in developing countries like Uganda.

The Implementation of E-Learning System Governance to Deal with User Need, Institution Objective, and Regulation Compliance

In this digital era, it has been proven that the proper of e-learning system implementation provides various advantages and huge benefits. But to achieve the proper implementation is not an easy way since there are many obstacles have to be addressed. Beside the benefits and advantages, such as the other IT based system, e-learning also bring many risks that come from its environment or embedded in. Although many methods or approaches proposed to tackle those obstacles and risks, but the study that tackle those problems from IT Governance view is still limited. The study presents the report of the IT Governance approach to address some of the risks of eLearning system implementation such as: miss alignment with the enterprise goal and strategies, uncomplianceness with the government regulation, and unmatched with the stakeholder needs. The governance of eLearning system proposed has been implemented in the private university situated in Jakarta, Indonesia for two semesters. Based on the general observation, the University can get some benefits such as their succeed in maintaining its institution as the university that comply with government regulatory.
