FFU Motors Remote Monitoring System Based on Power Line Communication and GPRS

In view of the advantage of low voltage power line carrier technique and general packet radio service(GPRS), a solution of fan filter unit(FFU) motor remote mointoring system based on GPRS and low voltage power line communication is introduced. This system combines a framework of low voltage power line communication and GPRS network with host computer monitoring center, which changes the traditional FFU motor control mode, and realize FFU motor remote real-time on-line automatic monitoring.The system implementation methods were described in detail, and the hardware and sofware design were given.The test and practice showed that the proposed has higher efficient and stronger anti-interference capability, which met the requirements of networkization and intelligentization, and a better way for the FFU motor control. The designed system has good application value.

Low Cost Parallel Processing System for Image Processing Applications

The rapid grows in the image processing systems complexity, and the complicated nature of its new technologies system design, had created the need for a high speed embedded processing units at low costs. This paper proposes a new implementation method of low cost parallel processing system for image processing applications. The proposed method is implied two stages. The first stage focused in the implementation of the hardware of parallel processors, where two ARM technology processors are used for its considerably low cost, and as standard technology for processors. This stage also concerned about the overall system firmware requirements and system integrations. The second part of the work is to design the tasks parallelism between processors, and the overall system display. The complete system is tested for a real image processing data, and compared with a single processor system. The obtained results show that, the new system is significantly improved the processing in term of speed.

A Real-Time Monitoring System of Energy Measurement

Real-time monitoring of energy measurement is a crucial and challenging field of application research. Development of practical real-time monitoring system of energy measurement has important practical significance. Measurement of a plant's energy requirements are analyzed, The real-time monitoring of energy measurement are based on B / S structure design , and the actual problems are analyzed and discussed in the real-time monitoring system. The system's design and implementation method are analyzed in the practical application, to meet the requirements of real-time system. the real-time data collection, data analysis, data flow management are involved.

A Kind of Reconfigurable Information System Based on Component

Continuous change of business environment of information system requires it timely respond and support these changes. A major challenge faced by information system is system reconfiguration, namely capability to quickly respond to changes of the system. Based on description of the concept of reconfigurable information systems, the idea of component was introduced into design and implementation of Reconfigurable Information System (RIS). Overall architecture and implementation method of reconfigurable information system based on component was analyzed in detail. Specific design of RIS based on component was provided combining with design and development of specific document transmitting system based on CORBA middleware platform.

An Implementation of Petri Net Based on Graphical Programming Language

This paper deals with an implementation method of component-based Petri nets system based on a graphical programming language (LabVIEW). LabVIEW is not only a graphical programming language, but also a virtual instrument platform which is widely used in virtual measurement and control system. The Places (token number) of Petri nets are represented by Numeric Controls of LabVIEW. The Transitions of Petri nets are represented by subVIs of LabVIEW. Transition subVI will change the tokens of Places by the Numeric Controls' Reference when it is fired. This method will make it ease to implement a Petri net by simply combining Place and Transition components (subVI). The example implementing a special Petri net shows that the Front Panel of the controller reflects the system operating state directly; the Block Diagram is similar to the topology of original Petri net. The combination of two graphic languages makes the modeling, analysis and formal verification of measurement and control system based on Petri nets easier.

Based on a summary of ArcGIS Engine techniques,this paper has recounted the background of Remote Sensing Monitoring Database System For Eco-geological Environment of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.After analyzing each kind of data in the system,the authors describe the design thinking of the database in detail and analyze the implementation method of system functions.Key techniques and important suggestions are also given in this paper.

유무선 통신망에서 운용 가능한 환경정보 모니터링 데이터 프로토콜 설계 및 구현

Most online monitoring systems of running currently based on the wired network and local area wireless network generate an increase of administrative costs such as synchronization of data protocol conversion, flexible operation of measurement devices and maintenance. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the SMS data transmission protocol which allows multiple data collecting device to manage effectively including implementation method of cdma-based environmental information monitoring system. Also this paper shows operational safety of the proposed protocol and analyzes efficiency of data transfer and operating using SMS.

T-DMB에서의 교통여행정보서비스 설계 및 구현

지상파 DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)에서 비디오 서비스에 이어, 본격적인 데이터 서비스가 시작되고 있는데, 교통여행정보 서비스는 그 중에서도 핵심적인 데이터 서비스로 간주되고 있다. 본 논문은 교통여행정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방송시스템의 설계와 구현방안을 제안하기 위한 것이며, 전체 시스템은 저작 시스템, DB 시스템, 송출 시스템 및 모니터링 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 구현한 시스템은 국내 지상파 DMB 교통여행정보 서비스 표준인 TPEG(Transfer Protocol Expert Group) 프레임을 따른다. 본 시스템은 실시간 혼잡교통정보(CTT), 혼잡교통정보(CTT SUM)를 비롯하여 다양한 비실시간 관심지점정보(POI), 안전운전정보(SDI) 등을 저작 및 자동 송출할 수 있도록 설계하였으며, 양질의 콘텐츠를 효율적으로 제작하고 제작한 콘텐츠를 비디오 및 오디오와 함께 안정적으로 송출하는데 중점을 두어 구현하였다. 구현한 시스템은 다양한 수신기와의 실내외 정합실험을 통하여 그 성능을 검증하였으며, 지속적인 업그레이드를 거쳐 현재 방송 서비스에 활용하고 있다. DMB video/audio service was successfully launched. DMB data service is a matter of primary concern now. The TTI(Traffic and Travel Information) service is considered as a killer application of the data service. Tn this paper, we propose a method for design and implementation of the broadcasting system for TTI service. The proposed TTI service system consists of an authoring tool, the DB module, the Transmission module and Monitoring module. This system satisfies the national TTA standards of the Traffic and Travel Information data services for terrestrial DMB; TPEG(Transport Protocol Experts Group) platform. The system was designed to support real-time automatic transmission for CTT and CTT SUM, and non real-time authoring & automatic transmission for POI and SDI, and was focused on the capability to make high-quality contents efficiently and to send them to the data inserter reliably. The performance of the implemented system was proven through the conformance tests with the various commercial receivers. After the continuous upgrade, the system is being used in commercial service.

Industrial semiosis: founding the deployment of the ubiquitous information infrastructure

Increasingly, models and data pertaining to products, resources and industrial processes are being stored on computers. Moreover, corporate and personal computers and information systems are rapidly being connected into intranets, extranets, and a world wide web making ubiquitous information services for industry feasible, both from the technical and economical points of view. But whereas information and communication technology (ICT) developments are breathtaking, our methods to deploy these technologies in industry do not keep pace. They are developed slowly, heavily influenced by mature technologies, often at odds with newer technologies. Following an effort to bridge the gap between methods and technology, this paper presents the result of a fundamental investigation into the relationship between industrial networks on the one hand, and the possible services of ICT networks on the other hand. The result is a framework of industrial semiosis (FIS) which applies and further elaborates the concepts of semiotics in the context of industry. These concepts are technology-independent, but at the same time they support an easy characterization, evaluation, and inclusion of the services of new technologies. The framework is proposed to influence more concrete, directly applicable modelling research and information system development and implementation methods, as well as curriculum components covering information and automation systems and e-commerce.

Real-time teleconsultation with high-resolution and large-volume medical images for collaborative healthcare.

Real-time consultation between referring physicians or radiologists with an expert is critical for timely and adequate management of problem cases. During consultation, both sides need to: 1) synchronously manipulate high-resolution digital radiographic images or large volume MR/CT images; 2) perform interpretation interactively; and 3) converse with audio. We present a specifically designed teleconsultation system in a digital imaging and communication in medicine picture archiving and communication systems clinical environment. The system uses bidirectional remote control technology to meet critical teleconsultation application requirements with high-resolution and large-volume medical images operated in a limited-bandwidth network setting. We give the system design and implementation methods, and also describe the teleconsultation procedure and protocol used in this system. Finally, laboratory and clinical evaluation results are discussed.

ZEX/spl minus/an expert system for ZEUS

ZEX is an expert system which is designed to support operation of the ZEUS experiment. It is based on performance monitoring and offers diagnostic capabilities and instructions on how to proceed running the experiment. System architecture and implementation methods are discussed. A prototype version of the expert system, ZEX-P, has been implemented successfully and is operating since the beginning of 1993. Design, analysis and realization of a state control system for an industrial distillation column

A systematic method for the development and practical implementation of a control system on the basis of a state observer and controller for the bottom concentration of an industrial distillation column is described. The development and testing of the state observer and state controller together with the system identification were carried out exclusively on the basis of simulation calculations. Initially the control system was studied in short individual tests, before a final long-term test was carried out under operating conditions of the real unit. The experience obtained in implementing the state control system is described. It was found that, with regard to dynamic column behaviour during disturbances, the state control system was superior to conventional PI-control concepts.

This paper describes a method for implementation of a rulebased system on a sinple 8-bit microcomputer. The approach has been successfully implemented and tested by analyzing EEG's recorded from renal patients.

A proposed computer-assisted preventive maintenance system.

This paper describes a proposed Computerized Documentation System for effectively controlling all biomedical equipment preventive maintenance (PM) and repair functions to be effected by hospitals. There is a critical need for such a system to strengthen the management tools of hospital-based Biomedical/Clinical Engineering programs. The system's design objectives, implementation, and evaluation method are explained and the benefits attributable to such a computerized control system are summarized.
