Impact of psychological safety and inclusive leadership on online learning satisfaction: the role of organizational support

The appeal of online education within the academic community has grown significantly due to advancements in technology and increased investments made during the pandemic. Despite the rapid expansion of research in online education, most studies have concentrated on technology and teaching techniques, overlooking social factors that also play a crucial role in students’ contentment with online learning. This study uses quantitative methods to investigate the impact of selected social variables on students’ satisfaction with online education. The research employed a designed questionnaire to gather data from African students engaged in online studies abroad. The collected data was then analyzed using SPSS-AMOS version 23. The study utilized a hierarchical linear regression model to assess the influence of different variables on students’ satisfaction with online education. The findings revealed that psychological safety and inclusive leadership positively influenced students’ satisfaction with online education. Conversely, perceived organizational support and learner–learner interaction adversely affected students’ satisfaction in the online learning environment. Moreover, the research highlighted that psychological safety, inclusive leadership, and perceived organizational support positively influenced learner–learner interaction. Additionally, perceived organizational support was identified as a moderator, affecting the relationships between other variables and students’ satisfaction with online education. Because of these findings, educational institutions and researchers are recommended to recognize social constructs’ critical role in students’ satisfaction with online education. It is essential to broaden the focus beyond technological aspects and teaching methods, as social variables are equally vital for students to have a fulfilling academic experience in online education.

This research paper aims to investigate the relationship between psychological safety and leader decision- making through an empirical analysis. By utilizing secondary research data, this study seeks to explore the influence of psychological safety on leadership decision-making and highlight its implications for organizational effectiveness and employee well-being. To begin, it is important to understand what psychological safety entails. Psychological safety refers to the perception of individuals that they can speak up, take risks, and express their thoughts and ideas without fear of negative consequences. It creates an environment where employees feel psychologically secure, fostering trust, collaboration, and innovation. This paper aims to delve into how psychological safety affects the work environment and why it is crucial for organizational success.

The Impact of Psychological Safety on Voluntary and Deviant Work Behaviors of Physical Education Teachers with the Mediating Role of Organizational Voice

The purpose of the present research was to investigate the effect of psychological safety on the voluntary and deviant work behaviors of physical education teachers in Golestan province, with the mediating role of organizational voice. This applied research is correlational, and data collection was conducted in the field. The statistical population included 575 physical education teachers in Golestan province in the year 2022, with a sample size of 228 teachers estimated based on Cochran's formula. Stratified random sampling method was used to select the research sample. Data for this research were collected using three standard questionnaires on psychological safety, voluntary work behaviors, deviant behaviors, and organizational voice. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts in sports management, and their reliability was calculated in a preliminary study using Cronbach's alpha as 0.80, 0.78, 0.70, and 0.79, respectively. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. SPSS 25 and Smart PLS 3 software were used for data analysis. Psychological safety has a positive and significant effect on the voluntary work behaviors of physical education teachers. It was also found that the effect of psychological safety on the organizational voice of physical education teachers is positive and significant. Another part of the results showed that psychological safety has a negative and significant effect on the deviant behaviors of physical education teachers. It was determined that the effect of psychological safety on the voluntary work behaviors of physical education teachers with the mediating role of organizational voice is positive and significant. Considering the results obtained, it seems advisable to choose an appropriate management style to prevent the occurrence of negative behaviors and create a collaborative work environment where physical education teachers can discuss and exchange views on their work processes alongside other teachers.

Impact of psychological safety on supply chain operational performance

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between psychological safety and operational performance in the context of supply chain partners, i.e. an inter-organisational setting. While collaboration among supply chain partners enables effective problem solving and generates innovation, such collaborations may result in superior performance improvements when a psychologically safe business environment is created along the supply chain. The analysis of this study is based on data collected from 241 manufacturing companies in China using a survey questionnaire. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted to assess the validity of the measures, and an ordinary least squares (OLS) regression was used to test the hypotheses. Study results indicate that there is a significant positive association between psychological safety and operational performance in the context of supply chain partners. The results further show the relationship to be moderated by the learning orientation and inter-functional coordination. While the effect of psychological safety on performance has been studied in intra-organisational settings, studies on the psychological safety – performance relationship in an inter-organisational setting are scant. This study contributes to the literature in psychological safety and supply chain management as it extends the relationship to the context of supply chain partners.
