Study on Curriculum Construction of Law Major in Colleges and Universities Under the Background of New Liberal Arts

With the development of the new liberal arts construction, more attention has been paid to the education of legal talents in undergraduate colleges, which also puts forward deeper requirements for the curriculum construction of colleges and universities. Law curriculum as the focus of liberal arts education reform, it needs teachers to comprehensively deepen the reform of teaching, make full use of all kinds of technical resources to enrich the content of teaching, improve the quality of legal education, and cultivate students’ comprehensive quality. Based on this, the article deeply analyzes the ideas of college law curriculum construction under the background of new liberal arts, fully explains the connotation of liberal arts construction, on this basis, puts forward the principles of curriculum construction, explores the existing problems of college law curriculum construction under the background of new liberal arts, and on this basis, puts forward the path of college law curriculum construction under the background of new liberal arts for reference.

Wetland Landscape Dynamics and Multi-Functional Assessment of Wuhan City, China

Under the dual pressures of rapid urbanization and intensifying global climate change, China has proposed governance policies aimed at promoting ecological urban construction. Wetland landscapes play a key role in sustaining human and social well-being. As a significant city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, Wuhan’s wetland resources play an irreplaceable role in maintaining the regional ecological balance and promoting sustainable economic and social development. However, urbanization poses a severe challenge to the ecological service functions of wetlands. Consequently, in this study, we analyzed the spatial–temporal evolution patterns of the sub-functional systems of carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, water yield, and water purification in five wetland types in Wuhan City from 2000 to 2020 by using the CASA model and InVEST model. Then, a wetland multi-functional assessment framework was constructed to quantify the comprehensive multi-function score. It is imperative to unravel the underlying mechanisms driving the changes in wetland functions and to explore the equilibrium point between wetland conservation and urban sustainable development. Our results show that the wetland area of Wuhan City decreased from 5077.33 km2 in 2000 to 4696.60 km2 in 2020, and the wetland multi-functions exhibited significant spatial heterogeneity from 2000 to 2020. Wetland carbon sequestration increased from 0.94 Tg in 2000 to 1.11 Tg in 2020. The wetland habitat quality declined from 0.13 in 2000 to 0.11 in 2020. The water production of the wetlands increased from 5.43 × 109 t in 2000 to 22.59 × 109 t in 2020. The wetland N loss decreased from 55,850.58 t in 2000 to 49,209.93 t in 2020. The highest multi-function score was in paddy fields, which increased from 0.41 ± 0.12 to 0.51 ± 0.12, followed by tidal flats, which increased from 0.39 ± 0.14 to 0.50 ± 0.16, and the lowest was rivers, which also increased from 0.33 ± 0.12 to 0.41 ± 0.14. The multi-function score was closely related to the wetland type and urban development direction over the past two decades, and it was negatively correlated with production and living density, providing new ideas for wetland ecological protection and construction in Wuhan City.

Analyzing The Impact of Project-Based Learning STEAM Flipped Classroom on Computer Architecture and Organization Courses in Higher Education

This study examines the differences in students' creative thinking skills between the project-based learning STEAM Flipped Classroom and the direct learning STEAM Flipped Classroom model by paying attention to the role of academic self-efficacy as a moderator variable. The research population consists of students in informatics engineering study programs in the Denpasar area of Bali. The study used a quasi-experimental 2 x 2 factorial design. Data collection is carried out through questionnaires and test instruments. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as analysis of covariance. The results showed a significant difference in students' creative thinking skills between those who learned with the STEAM Flipped Classroom project learning model and the STEAM Flipped Classroom direct learning model. In addition, there are differences in students' creative thinking skills based on the level of academic self-efficacy. The empirical application of the STEAM Flipped Classroom project model is proven to help students generate new ideas, develop ideas, and improve their thinking skills. However, the findings suggest that flexible thinking skills must be further enhanced. Students with high self-efficacy tend to be more proactive in providing constructive ideas in project-based learning activities. This research implies that it is necessary to actively motivate and share experiential stories with students who have low self-efficacy. In the future, I suggest that universities adopt the innovative learning model of project-based learning STEAM flipped Classroom to improve the creative thinking skills of informatics engineering students at the college level.

Analysis of the Teaching Reform Path for Environmental Engineering Technology Majors in Higher Vocational Education Based on the “1+X” Certificate

In the context of building an innovative country, the country has put forward higher requirements for talent cultivation in vocational colleges. Vocational colleges should continuously explore and improve talent cultivation work to meet these requirements while cultivating more professional and practical talents for the country and society. This article takes the Environmental Engineering Technology major as an example. Integrating the concept of “1+X” certificate into environmental engineering technology teaching can better construct the curriculum system of the Environmental Engineering Technology major, make the curriculum structure more scientific, complete and standardized, and help students understand the connection between certificates and education from multiple perspectives, thereby achieving effective reform of the curriculum of the Environmental Engineering Technology major. Based on this, the article will elaborate on the concept and significance of the “1+X” certificate and analyze in detail the teaching system construction ideas of the environmental engineering technology major courses in higher vocational education under the background of the “1+X” certificate. Studying the shortcomings in the current development of environmental engineering technology education in higher vocational education in China and proposing improvement measures for the environmental engineering technology major courses in higher vocational education to address existing problems will provide certain references and assistance for the subsequent reform of environmental engineering teaching in higher vocational education in China.

The problem of quality of qualified professional teacher training in Turkey

The education system of Ukraine is at the stage of European integration changes and internal modernization processes. The characteristic trends of this period are the realization of one's own national experience, its comparison with European and world traditions, as well as the need to analyze and highlight the most effective progressive ideas and advanced concepts that exist in the world space, the possibility of their adaptation to the needs of national education. Therefore, institutions of higher education must train qualified teachers, creative, possessing a high level of pedagogical skills, realizing their own autonomy and capable of developing original solutions. The novelty of the problematics of the studied topic is that the problem of the quality of professional training of a qualified teacher in Turkey has not yet found a comprehensive reflection and systematic generalization in the Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical discourse. Therefore, the goal of the study was to formulate the problem of the quality of professional training of a qualified teacher in Turkey. To implement the goals and objectives of scientific research, the authors relied on the following materials and methods of scientific research: 1) theoretical – analysis of scientific databases, electronic repositories of institutions of higher education, scientific institutions and libraries where dissertation abstracts, scientific publications and other scientific works are stored; systematization and generalization of research results; 2) empirical – conversations, correspondence with Turkish scientists and university professors; pedagogical supervision. The authors formulated the problem of the quality of training of a qualified teacher, which is a widely discussed problem for many years in the world and in Turkey itself, which proves the need to rethink the definition and boundaries of the teaching profession. On the basis of the generalization and systematization of the obtained results, the authors formulated the concept of "qualified teacher" – this is a novice teacher who has successfully completed training on an accredited educational program of initial teacher training. Scientific and practical recommendations on the use of constructive ideas of the Turkish experience to improve the quality of teacher training in the system of continuous pedagogical education of Ukraine are substantiated

Research and Practice on the Construction of General Chemistry Curriculum in Applied Universities under the Background of "New Agricultural Sciences"

This paper, guided by the OBE (Outcomes-Based Education) philosophy of "New Agricultural Sciences," oriented by talent cultivation goals, and based on the construction of general chemistry courses in applied universities, elaborates on the construction ideas of general chemistry courses in applied universities. It discusses the diversified construction of general chemistry courses from aspects such as teaching syllabus, teaching model, and assessment methods. Data on students' overall achievement and course goal achievement under different teaching models are analyzed. The results show that the construction of general chemistry courses under the background of "New Agricultural Sciences" has achieved good practical effects.

Bio‐inspired 3D Sub‐Microstructures Coupling of Au Nanoparticles for SERS Detection of Trace Fentanyl

Abstract3D surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) platforms with multi‐dimensional hotspots and better tolerance to laser misfocus show great potential for the rapid detection of trace fentanyl. However, the complex fabrication process of 3D fine structures limits the wide‐ranging application of the SERS technique. Herein, a 3D SERS‐active platform is fabricated utilizing a scalable and cost‐effective strategy that involves the electroless deposition of dense Au nanoparticles on natural butterfly wing scales (b‐wings@Au). The resultant b‐wings@Au proves to be sensitive and reliable, with a lower limit of detection of 4× 10−12 m and an enhancement factor (EFexp) of 1.74 × 108 for fentanyl. Furthermore, it exhibits excellent reproducibility, as evidenced by a relative standard deviation of less than 5%, and also demonstrates outstanding stability. The obtained high EFexp is due to the combined effects of the electromagnetic mechanism, involving the enhanced electromagnetic field generated by 3D periodic hotspots, and the chemical mechanism, involving the charge transfer from fentanyl to Au surface. Additionally, the as‐prepared 3D substrate realizes the trace detection of nine fentanyl analogs. This study provides new ideas for the controllable construction of sensitive SERS platforms for drug detection, ultimately advancing the fields of 3D substrates in booming SERS‐based technologies.

New insights into the mechanisms and therapeutic strategies of chondrocyte autophagy in osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic joint disease with an unclear cause characterized by secondary osteophytes and degenerative changes in the articular cartilage. More than 250 million people are expected to be affected by it by 2050, putting a tremendous socioeconomic strain on the entire world. OA cannot currently be treated with any effective medications that change the illness. Over time, chondrocytes undergo gradual metabolic, structural, and functional changes as a result of aging or abuse. The degenerative progression of osteoarthritis is significantly influenced by the imbalance of chondrocyte homeostasis. By continuously recycling and rebuilding macromolecules or organelles, autophagy functions as a crucial regulatory system to maintain homeostasis during an individual's growth and development. This review uses chondrocytes as its starting point and establishes a strong connection between autophagy and osteoarthritis in order to thoroughly examine the mechanisms behind chondrocyte autophagy in osteoarthritis. Biomarkers of chondrocyte autophagy will be identified, and prospective targeted medications and novel treatment approaches for slowing or preventing the course of OA will be developed based on chondrocyte senescence, autophagy, and apoptosis in OA. KEY MESSAGES: Currently, OA has not been treated with any drugs that can effectively cure it. We hope that by exploring specific targets in the course of osteoarthritis, we can promote the progress of treatment strategies. The degenerative progression of osteoarthritis is significantly influenced by the imbalance of chondrocyte balance. Through the continuous recovery and reconstruction of macromolecules or organelles, autophagy is an important regulatory system for maintaining homeostasis during individual growth and development. In this paper, the close relationship between autophagy and osteoarthritis was established with chondrocytes as the starting point, in order to further explore the mechanism of chondrocyte autophagy in osteoarthritis. The development process of osteoarthritis was studied from the perspective of chondrocytes, and the change of autophagy level had a significant impact on osteoarthritis. Chondrocyte autophagy is mainly determined by intracellular mitochondrial autophagy, so we are committed to finding relevant molecules. Through PI3K/AKT- and MAPK-related pathways, the biomarkers of chondrocyte autophagy were identified, and chondrocyte senescence, autophagy, and apoptosis based on osteoarthritis provided a constructive idea for the development of prospective targeted drugs and new therapies to slow down or prevent the progression of osteoarthritis.

Europe Constructed, Europe Contested: Italian Media Responses to the Treaties of Rome

This article analyses Italian responses to the Treaties of Rome in 1957 by looking at media's role as a tool to both amplify voices and construct ideas on European integration. It attempts to expand upon and also challenges existing narratives on integration in Italy – which have tended to assume that ‘Euroscepticism’ largely emerged in a post-Maastricht context – by showing that the matter was already the source of significant politicisation and contestation, and that political actors used the outlets at their disposal to influence public opinion. Indeed, the Italian media conversations enveloping the Treaties of Rome – at a time when the introduction of RAI television was revolutionising the media landscape, and the Treaties were broadcast and politicised as a landmark event – highlight the variety of visions of European integration that had emerged. On the one hand, the ruling Christian Democratic government had radio and television under its harness, and used these channels to push a pro-integrationist orthodoxy on the Italian public. Nevertheless, we also see dissenting visions expressed in much of the printed press, not only from the anti-Western Communists and Socialists, but also from a broad church including neo-fascists, monarchists and even federalists. The article crucially finds that there was a deliberate effort by government-aligned journalists to marginalise – rather than engage with – any dissenting views on European integration.

Reasonably construct GDY/CeO2/Mn0.2Cd0.8S double S-scheme heterojunction for improvement photocatalytic hydrogen production

Reasonably designing and optimizing the structure of photocatalysts aims to effectively enhance light absorption, accelerate charge separation and transfer, and achieve sustainable photocatalytic hydrogen production. In this study, a simple self-assembly method was used to prepare the GDY/CeO2/Mn0.2Cd0.8S ternary system. The addition of GDY and CeO2 significantly enhances the light absorption range of Mn0.2Cd0.8S, enhancing the separation and transmission of electron hole pairs and provides more active sites for hydrogen production. Moreover, an S-scheme heterojunction was constructed between the three catalysts, maximizing their oxidation–reduction ability. In addition, the built-in electric field formed between the catalysts also provides power for electron transfer, ensuring efficient and orderly reaction. This work provides ideas for the rational construction of heterojunctions, improving charge transfer, and designing high-performance catalysts to solve energy problems.

Ren, as the core concept of Confucianism, is equivalent to Confucianism itself. It first appeared as a moral concept in Confucianism, but through the discussions of Confucian scholars through the ages, it has become a basic category with rich connotations that can be used to refer to the nature of human beings, moral norms, moral behaviors, and spiritual realm. On the basis of the work of constructing the ontology of modern Confucianism, Mr. Chen Lai, in his book The Ontology of Ren, reconstructed and interpreted the Ren theory of Confucian scholars through the ages. He developed the ontological and cosmological connotations of Ren from Ren of one and Ren of endless live, and regarded Ren as the cosmic essence, so that Renti was gradually revealed and finally proved. This theoretical innovation thoroughly philosophizes the Confucian idea of Ren and constructs a metaphysical system of it, which truly transcends the philosophical construction work of modern Neo-Confucianism, thus becoming a landmark achievement in the contemporary interpretation of Confucianism and the philosophical construction of contemporary China.

A data-driven short video international communication model based on indicator system communication network and attention BiLSTM neural network

As one of the most popular ways to disseminate Internet content in the current era of media convergence, short videos have increasingly become part of people’s daily lives. This paper takes TikTok as the research object, focusing on the study of short video communication process. The research objective of this paper is to improve the international communication effect of short videos through data-driven analysis and strategy research on the law of international communication of short videos. Firstly, the key objective indicator system about international communication of short videos is constructed, the definition, selection and design logic of key objective indicators are introduced, the construction idea of the corresponding indicator system is proposed, and then the key objective indicator system about international communication of short videos and related data set are constructed. Secondly, an international communication network model for short videos is built. The construction of this network model is divided into three steps, the construction of the short video communication network KOIS-PN based on the key objective indicators system, the construction of AT-BiLSTM neural network model to adapt to the research scenario of short video international communication, the construction of an international communication network model of short videos combining KOIS-PN and AT-BiLSTM. The international short video communication network is constructed according to the key objective index system of international short video, and the key objective index system is used as nodes in the communication network, and the short video communication network is constructed by hierarchical relationship. Thirdly, the performance of the core theoretical model proposed in this paper is verified. The experimental results show that, the KOISPN-ATBiLSTM international communication network model of short videos has certain validity and advancement.

Walter Gropius, history of the IV CIAM Congress, the Charter of Athens and some of its results

The history of the emergence of the idea of multi-story housing construction is described, starting with the project of the experimental settlement of Spandau-Haselhorst by Walter Gropius and the subsequent report of Gropius to the third CIAM congress. The conditions under which the IV CIAM Congress met are shown - the world economic crisis, the strengthening of authoritarianism in the world, the absence of German, American and Soviet architects, as well as opponents of Le Corbusier in other delegations. The history of the IV Congress and the appearance, ten years after it, of two versions of the Athens Charter are described. The differences between José Luis Sert's version and Le Corbusier's version are presented, as well as some results of its implementation. The implementation of ideas, both different from the Athens Charter and its followers, in Great Britain and the place that the construction of multi-storey housing eventually took in the country is described. An example of construction regulation in Germany is given, which makes the construction of multi-story housing economically unprofitable.

Research on the Digital Maintenance Construction of Hydropower Unit

Abstract At present, the single unit capacity of hydropower unit is increasing, and the problems of difficulty, high precision, large number of labors and high cost in the maintenance process of large unit are becoming increasingly prominent. With the proposal of intelligent construction of hydropower plant, digital maintenance of hydropower unit has become a research hotspot. This article proposes a construction idea for a digitized maintenance system for hydraulic units based on technologies such as RFID, IoT, and artificial intelligence. This system can modularly manage the unit components and realize the integration and interaction of unit maintenance information through the visualization platform. It utilizes IoT sensors to collect comprehensive information on the components involved in the maintenance process. The components’ information is managed in a hierarchical manner using device KKS coding and a hierarchical structure diagram of the hydraulic unit’s equipment components. Through a visualization platform and equipment knowledge base, the component information is processed and analyzed to generate optimal assembly sequences and paths, thus improving the scientific and rational aspects of the unit’s maintenance process. This approach provides theoretical support for maintenance operations and enhances overall work efficiency.

Enhancing infrastructure project delivery through lean construction: opportunities, challenges and implementation strategies

PurposeOver the past two decades, the construction sector has experienced a surge in projects fueled by substantial government investment in infrastructure. However, amid this growth, the industry grapples with persistent challenges. Meeting project deadlines and budgets remains a struggle, impacting the industry’s credibility. Therefore, this research intends to investigate the idea of lean construction in the construction sector and look at the obstacles facing the construction industry in implementing lean construction strategies.Design/methodology/approachThe insights presented here result from content analysis performed on 206 articles, while the metadata analysis is based on 891 publications.FindingsThis study highlights numerous important characteristics that influence an organization’s capacity to accomplish lean construction using a systematic literature review approach.Research limitations/implicationsFor forthcoming research seeking validation, utilizing a mixed-method approach could prove advantageous. Yet, it is crucial to recognize the constraints of the present study, primarily centered on the scope of the literature review.Practical implicationsThis assessment will enhance comprehension of the lean construction concept, potentially encouraging the adopting of lean construction practices. Moreover, it could provide insights into effectively applying these methods in practice.Originality/valueThe literature review highlights the necessity for organizations to identify and address potential challenges they might encounter in implementing lean construction. An essential step in overcoming these obstacles involves exploring the concept of lean construction within the sector and assessing the hurdles constraining the implementation of lean construction strategies in the construction industry.

The EWM-Based Evaluation of Healthy City Construction Levels in East China under the Concept of “Making Improvements Is More Important Than Reaching Standards”

In order to effectively identify the shortcomings and potential health risks in the construction of healthy cities and achieve sustainable development, relevant improvement strategies have been formulated. According to the National Healthy City Evaluation Index System, with the concept of “Making improvements is more important than reaching standards”, the healthy city construction levels of the first batch of 13 cities in East China were evaluated by combining entropy weight and linear coefficient weighting from the five dimensions of environment, population, society, service, and culture, based on the data of statistical yearbooks, bulletins, and government websites. The results show that Suzhou, Jiading, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Tongxiang, and Zhenjiang are in the first-grade group, Xiamen, Yantai, Jinan, and Weihai are in the second-grade group, and Yichun and Ma’anshan are in the third-grade group. There is also more significant heterogeneity in the healthy environment indicator among the 13 cities; at the same time, there are specific differences in the healthy culture indicator, and there are slight differences in the indicators of healthy population, society, and service. The study reveals the gaps and problems in the construction of healthy cities. It proposes constructive ideas for promoting follow-up improvement of “making up for shortcomings and strengthening the weaknesses”.

In-situ immobilization strategy for single-atom iron sites to enhance oxygen reduction reaction in Zn–air batteries and microbial fuel cells

A straightforward and environmentally friendly approach was utilized to synthesize single-atomic Fe–N–C catalyst. In-situ immobilization of Fe3+ during the formation of polydopamine (PDA) and ZIF-8 in aqueous solution effectively prevent metal agglomeration. The mutual promotion of PDA and aqueous solution constructed the hybrid-level porous hollow structure in P–FeNC. This method extends the solution scope from organic solution system to water solution, thus providing fascinating opportunities for investigating metal-N-C catalyst by in-situ mixing various metal salt precursor and dopamine. The optimal P–FeNC catalyst demonstrates superlative oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance, with the half-wave potentials (E1/2) of 0.886 V, 0.79 V, and 0.72 V in 0.1 M KOH, 0.5 M H2SO4, and 0.05 M PBS solutions, which exceeded commercial 20 wt% Pt/C. The combinatorial impacts of highly dense FeN4 active sites and interconnected hierarchical mesopores/macropores are presumed to underpin the observed enhancement in ORR performance. Further evaluations show that the power densities of P–FeNC equipped zinc-air battery (ZAB) and microbial fuel cell (MFC) are 460 mW/cm2 and 3083 ± 10 mW/m2, respectively. This study confirms the feasibility to design the innovative single-atom catalyst in aqueous solution and provides constructive ideas to employ the high-performance P–FeNC electrocatalyst in ZABs and MFCs.

Socio-Eco-Religio-Cultural Approaches in Addressing Environmental Damage: An Interpretative Analysis Based on The Quran and Hadith

Purpose: This article discusses the ecological verses that have been interpreted in efforts to maintain the existence of environmental conservation. Ecology is a discipline that explores the symbiotic mutualism between nature and living organisms. The Quran uses several terms related to ecology, such as living environment (al-bi'ah), the entire universe (al-'alamīn), the sky or cosmos (al-samā'), earth (al-arḍ), human beings (al-insān), fauna (al-an'ām or dābbah), flora (al-nabāt or al-harth), water (mā'), air (al-rīḥ), sun (al-shams), moon (al-qamar), stars (al-burūj), and mountains (jabal). Methods: This research is essential due to recent environmental crises leading to various natural disasters. This is a qualitative study employing a literature review approach. This paper emphasises that maintaining the existence of environmental conservation is vital for the natural balance and future generations as it is part of Islamic teachings. Result and Discussion: Therefore, verses concerning the existence of environmental conservation need to be actualised. The results of this research can provide input for policymakers on the importance of consistently promoting the preservation of the environment as commanded by the Quran, such as maintaining a clean environment, keeping nature in balance, preserving ecological equilibrium, reforestation for greener nature, and making land productive. Research implications: The findings suggest potential opportunities for agrarian reform to aid in protecting and preserving ecosystems, ensuring that they remain viable and beneficial for future generations. Originality/value: This paper offers valuable perspectives on Islamic eco-culture as a potential solution to environmental degradation, drawing from the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. It explores the commendable efforts of Muslim communities to conserve the environment, guided by these two key sources of Islamic teachings. This narrative aims to offer constructive ideas and empower active participation, emphasizing the shared responsibility of both the community and government in ensuring that environmental issues receive the due attention they deserve.
