Uticaj primene IKT na postignuća učenika u kombinovanom odeljenju

The goal of this research was to determine the effectiveness of ICT on the achievements of students in combined classes, and same time on changing the way teachers work in the teaching process. The attitudes and opinions of teachers, students and parents about the use of ICT in teaching were examined. The research was related to the population represented in the so-called "small schools" in rural areas, which have combined or undivided classes, and therefore a small number of students. Using a non-experimental method, the data were collected on the attitudes of teachers, students and parents. A scale method was used, while the basic instruments for data collection were non-standardized surveys for students, teachers and parents. Results obtained are tabulated and presented graphically, while the percentage calculation method was used in the statistical processing. The test sample included 28 students, 8 teachers and 54 parents. The results obtained from the research will greatly help to improve the quality of teaching using ICT in combined classes. Teachers must be adequately rewarded, and classrooms must be better equipped. Significant differences were also observed regarding the effects of ICT in teaching, depending on the parents. It is necessary to train the parents of the students, so that the application of ICT gives even better effects.

Application of ICT in the co production of social services

Aim/purpose – The purpose of this article was to identify the information and commu- nication technology (ICT) tools fostering the co-production of social services, acknowl- edging that the technological environment is an important contextual condition enhanc- ing the development of co-production. Design/methodology/approach – The method used was systematic literature review (SLR). Findings – As a result of the review, the catalog of solutions and tools offered by infor- mation and communication technologies was presented. The results of the research car- ried out indicate that the co-production of social services is favored by the use of such ICT tools as mobile applications, crowdsourcing, open data, big data, real-time data collection and analysis, gamification, and social media. Research implications/limitations – The main implication of the research is the com- prehensive catalog of ICT tools that can be used to facilitate social service co-production. ICT tools also favor the emergence of new forms of co-production; there-fore, the acquaintance of these tools can accelerate this process. The study is constrained by sev- eral limitations. The study is constrained by several limitations. First, applied methodol- ogy, which is qualitative, analyzes secondary data. Second, the co-production in the social services area includes many and various services, and ICT application and impact can differ by specific type of service. Originality/value/contribution – This paper contributes to research on the co-production of social services, particularly in terms of the use of new technologies in this process, in two ways. First, the development of the catalog of ICT tools favoring social service co-production. Their application fosters the involvement of contextual actors, increasing the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of social services. In this way, the social service co-production contributes to better addressing the citizens’ needs, increasing their quality of life and well-being, and unleashing their potential. Second, by taking the PSL perspective and situating factors favoring co-production within a service ecosystem framework, this paper draws attention to public value emerging from new relations, extensive dialogue, delibera- tion, common arrangements, and collaborative activity in virtual communities. UKRAINE IN INTERNATIONAL INDEXES OF INFORMATION SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT

The article studies the main ranks and indexes of information society development in Ukraine. Program documents, adopted during The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), became the basis for determining key components of information society: Information and communication infrastructure, capacity building, access to public domain information, security in the use of ICT, ICT applications, independence and plurality of media, research and innovations. For each component, several international indices were selected and Ukraine's position in these rankings was analyzed. Normalized indicators of ranking values of Ukraine were presented in the diagram, where Ukraine has the best position in the EU Open Data Maturity Report (ODM), and the worst result - Press Freedom Index (PFI). However, the overall score of more than 0.5 indicates a significant success of Ukraine on the way to information society.

Analysis of Spillover Effects of Digital Economy—An Empirical Study Based on Time Series Input-Output

The purpose of this study is to analyze the composition and relationship of the factors that affect the output of digital economy. Theoretically, this study redefined the digital economy, whose essence is the component and economic forms of economic reproduction of digital elements. Empirically, we take Zhejiang Province, who has developed as the digital economy highland of China, as the research object. To assess the output effects of the digital economy, this study constructed an evaluation system comprising five indicators and 22 sub-indicators. Based on statistical data from 1998 to 2018, principal component analysis, unit root test and co-integration analysis were conducted in this paper, and then a vector autoregressive model was constructed. The results showed that, when other conditions remain unchanged, each unit of human capital and technology development will increase by 0.814 units and 1.112 units of digital economic output in Zhejiang Province, respectively. However, the variables of ICT application and infrastructure are in a state of stagnation due to the complete construction. The continuous investment cannot bring about significant growth but may occupy too many resources such as limited capital policies or drag down the digital output. Therefore, while increasing the investment in human capital variables and technology development variables, we need to reduce the investment in ICT application variables and infrastructure variables to maximize the digital economy's output efficiency.

Analiza primene informaciono-komunikacionih tehnologija u visokoškolskim ustanovama u funkciji naučnog polja studenata

Modern ICTs are increasingly used in educational institutions whose main role is to facilitate and improve the teaching process. In order for the educational system to be successful, it must follow modern trends in the application of these technologies. The degree of application of these technologies in education is influenced by numerous factors, which is why their application differs from country to country, as well as between different educational institutions within a country. For this reason, thirteen higher education institutions that carry out their educational activity in the northern part of AP Kosovo and Metohija were selected for the subject of this research. Considering that the application of these technologies is influenced by numerous factors, the aim of this paper is to analyze the attitude of students from different scientific fields according to the degree of application of ICT in their higher education institutions. The results of the research were obtained by collecting data through student surveys, as well as their statistical processing using the appropriate statistical program.

Documentation and Analysis of ICT initiatives of Agricultural Research Institutions in Telangana: Application of Nudge Theory

The present paper attempts to document various ICT initiatives of Agricultural Research Institutes in Telangana. The application of ICT offers excellent possibilities for empowering stakeholders and establishing appropriate communication between research and extension systems. A qualitative tool called nudge theory is used to identify specific nudges of various ICT initiatives. Nudge theory is a concept in the behavioral science that proposes positive reinforcement and indirect suggestions as ways to influence behavior. These are simple, low-cost interventions that alter behavior in predictable ways. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The nudging framework is done and classified under internally imposed, externally imposed, encouraging, discouraging, mindless and mindful factors. State Agriculture University – Electronic media wing of PJTSAU, National Academy of Agriculture Research Management, Indian Institute of Millet Research Initiatives are taken under this study and the ICT Initiatives were classified. The nudges were identified and all together overall nudging framework is done.

FACTORS AFFECTING THE APPLICATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT) IN THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR OF NEPAL

Scaling-up of modern ICT tools produces an avenue to use ICT in the dissemination of agriculture information. To successfully apply ICT-based information for the prime development of sustainable agriculture, understanding the factors affecting the use of ICT in agriculture information is valuable. This study tried to analyze the socio-economic factors that influence the application of ICTs amongst farmers of the Rupandehi district of Nepal. Altogether, three villages, which are also declared and enlisted under smart villages by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Technology, and Land Management of Lumbini province, were purposely selected for this study. Data were collected from randomly selected 145 respondents from Devdaha, Omsatiya and Tilotama villages, of which 95 were ICT user farmers and 50 of them were non-users of ICT. A binary probit model was used for its statistical analysis. Social, economic, and institutional factors were explored as the major factors affecting the use of ICT among farmers in the delineated study area. Farm size, sex, and income were explored as positive and significant factors that influence the use of ICT in agriculture. The governmental policies including ICT tools in extension methodologies were found at an inadequate level. Moreover, the present ICT tools assessed inappropriate in the existing market that didn't address the real needs of farmers were the major constraints of using ICT tools in agriculture in the study area. Factors and reasons explored through this study should be internalized by concerned stakeholders as input while forming their policy or implanting ICT-related activities in forthcoming technological generations.

Information Security Challenges in the Absence of ICT in Protecting Personal and Organisational Data in Nairobi County, Kenya

There have been several cases of lost documents and misplaced or inaccurate information belonging to individuals or organisations reported in recent times at global, national and regional levels. Nairobi county is one of the regions on the spot as many people travelling or working in the city have reported lost identification documents such as certificates and licenses, whether through criminality or negligence. Furthermore, most businesses and organisations dealing with huge volumes of data need help to protect and provide accurate information. Many still need help with the pre-digital data management systems, thus risking the loss of both personal and organisational data. This paper, therefore, sought to examine the information security challenges due to the inadequate application of ICT in managing personal and corporate data and their implications on individuals and organisations in Nairobi County. The target population included employees from Kenya Revenue Authority and Kenya Data Networks in Nairobi headquarters offices, police officers deployed at NPS offices headquarters and members of the public. The selected target groups were known to deal with enormous data for both personnel and businesses, and the police officers were part of this study because of their mandate to help in tracking lost personal and business documents. Lastly, the researcher engaged members of the public to share their experiences of losing business and personal records. The study employed purposive and simple random sampling techniques to select the required sample of 110 participants drawn from the four groups. A structured questionnaire was administered to the sampled police officers, employees of Kenya Data Network and Kenya Revenue Authority and members of the public. The researchers interviewed key informants from the three organisations, NPS, KRA and KDA, to complement the data collected using the questionnaires. The findings established that challenges were associated with the need for more ICT in managing personal information and organisational data. The paper revealed that the need for an integrated system is a challenge to tracking missing identities or verifying the validity of provided information, thus compromising the productivity and security of businesses and institutions. Results from this study provide a solution to tracking any missing documents and correcting inaccurate personal data by adopting an integrated ICT system.

E-Governance in India: A Qualitative Analysis using the ABCD Framework and its Impact on Goodwill from Social Capital

Purpose: Electronic governance is the use of ICT applications to offer citizens, businesses, employees, other government agencies with government services that are simple, efficient, and transparent. This research paper aims to identify different types of government interaction in e-governance services, explore different e-governance models, their applications & impact on goodwill from social capital through e-governance. Design/Methodology/Approach: This case study is developed on qualitative data collected from published sources. Information obtained from newspapers, journal articles, corporate & government websites, is used to provide in-depth analyses. Findings: According to the study, the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of India intends to make government services more available to the general public. It also strives for efficiency, transparency, dependability, and effective service delivery at a reasonable cost. The plan is being put into action at the local, state, and federal levels. Originality: This study emphasizes India’s E-governance through qualitative analysis using the ABCD framework based on different stakeholders’ points of view, i.e., government, citizens, businesses, and employees. Increasing The Competence Of Teachers In Improving The Ability Of Creative Thinking And Action Of Students Through The Utilization Of Animation Learning Videos

This research is motivated by the weakness of teachers in the application of ICT in the learning process in the classroom. This is based on observations in the teacher's lesson plan that never includes ICT-based learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in teacher competence in applying ICT in the learning process through in-house training. In-house training was chosen as an effort to increase teacher competence because in terms of time it does not interfere with the main task of teachers and in terms of costs it does not require a lot of money, because it is carried out internally in schools. The method used is school action research (PTS) with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementing corrective actions, observing and reflecting. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in teacher competence in implementing ICT through in-house training for teachers at SDN 3 Sukamenak, Purbaratu District, Tasikmalaya City. Assessment through the in-house training observation rubric in cycle 1 was only 30% ready to take part in the activity, so it was included in the poor category, and the results of the assessment in the second cycle which reached a value of 80%, were in the very good category. While the teacher's activity in the implementation of learning in the second cycle is better than in the first cycle. Where the final result is an increase in teacher competence in applying ICT in the learning process with a 40% increase in the percentage.

Introduction and Training of Database Systems for Vocational High School Students in Palembang City

In ICT needed to learn database management. One application in database management is MySQL. The service team conducted an analysis of the community's needs regarding the application of the ICT application, especially at SMKs in the city of Palembang. In practice, service participants at SMK are accompanied by tutorials where the presenters conduct demonstrations by working on the material that has been prepared, which then the participants follow and implement the material simultaneously with the presenters. In the end, the service team found that the participants had gained knowledge and skills from this training activity. This can be seen from the feedback given by the participants where 78% of the participants stated that they understood the material provided well and the material presented was very useful.

Knowledge and utilisation of information and communication technology among radiographers in a lower-middle-income country

IntroductionUnderstanding the current ICT-related experience is essential for planning and effectively implementing quality healthcare services. Hence, this study aims to assess the knowledge and utilisation of ICT among radiographers in Sri Lanka. MethodsA descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 590 practicing radiographers in Sri Lanka. Data was collected through a postal survey using a structured self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of three sections: socio-demographic characteristics, existing knowledge of ICT, and utilisation of ICT applications and facilities. ResultsA total of 416 radiographers returned the questionnaire giving a response rate of 70.5%. Considering the overall ICT knowledge, 24.0% of the respondents possessed good knowledge, while 54.3% and 21.6% reported having fair and poor knowledge, respectively. The knowledge of ICT was significantly associated with gender, age, level of education, duration of service, and previous ICT training experience (p < 0.05). Digital radiography and electronic patient record (EPR) systems were used by 8% and 17.8% of respondents, respectively. Inadequate ICT facilities (56.7%) were identified as the most significant challenge for radiographers to use ICT. ConclusionsThe majority of the respondents in this study had a fair knowledge of ICT, and this knowledge was significantly associated with certain demographic factors. Further, it was found that access to certain ICT applications, such as digital radiography and EPR systems, is limited. Hence, this study highlighted the importance of providing systematic, comprehensive and regular ICT training programmes and improving access to ICT facilities for radiographers. Implications of practiceThe study provides insight into the significance of improving ICT literacy among radiographers in the field. In addition, the findings may draw policymakers' attention to improving radiographers’ access to the latest technologies

The Benefits of ICT Application on the Successful Implementation of Formal Education

This study discussed the problem of the advantages of ICT applications for the successful application of formal learning. We have carefully reviewed some kinds of literature involving a chronological approach, which includes analyzing data, testing data, evaluating and interpreting it until we get some crucial points, which include we get several technological applications, including argumentative reality, adaptive learning, artificial intelligence, robotic and automation, utilization of 5G advances in learning, and learning analytics. It is hoped that these findings will be helpful for further studies.

Identification of the Need for PhET Simulation-based Interactive Media for Learning in Vocational High Schools

An effective learning process cannot be separated from various supporting factors, one of which is the use and support of technology during the learning process. Therefore, this research aims to identify the need for digital media in interactive media formats to support learning in vocational high schools. This research method is included in quantitative research with the type deskriptive, using non-test data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire as the research instrument. The subjects of this research are vocational high school students majoring in electrical power installation engineering, totaling 36 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive by converting student responses into percentages. From the research results, information was obtained that so far teachers are still comfortable with the lecture and discussion method, while in the context of using learning media, teachers still tend to consistently use printed modules and printed material books. The use of ICT tools by teachers is very minimal, even though almost 72.2% of students have been able to operate computers and are quite familiar with digital technologies. Through this research, information was also obtained that most students agree with the innovation of ICT-based learning media in the format interactive media to support learning which so far has very minimal application and integration of ICT. This research is expected to provide new insights regarding the importance of identifying what students need in order to improve the quality of education.

ICT Applications for People with Speech and Language Disorders

The digital technology used on smartphones and tablets provides entertainment and offers a number of additional materials and content needed in education. The possibility of using computers for educational and therapeutic purposes has enabled children and users with various health problems, motor impairments, and chronic diseases access to information, education, therapeutic work, monitoring and counselling. As part of the EU projects, the EU constituent countries have developed programmes and applications aimed at education. The project “ICT Competence Network for Innovative Services for Persons with Complex Communication Needs (ICT-AAC)” took place from March 2013 to March 2015 and was carried out by the University of Zagreb in collaboration with other stakeholders: associations and companies. The developed applications are applicable for educational and therapeutic purposes in education as a teaching method and a tool in treating speech and language disorders within speech therapy. In addition to education, there are also applications for communication purposes for people with complex communication needs. This paper briefly presents some of the ICT-AAC applications and their implementation in working with the intended users.

Distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic: mobile information and communications technology overview

The research is aimed at the theoretical justification, development and experimental verification of methods of using mobile technologies for teaching students of higher education institutions in the conditions of quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the study is the adaptation of mobile ICT to distance learning during quarantine. The object of the study is the use of mobile ICT for distance learning. The subject of the study: the use of mobile ICT for distance learning during quarantine. Ukrainian and foreign research on the application of mobile ICT (Audience Response Systems; Mobile Multimedia Authoring Tools development; Mobile Learning Management Systems; Mobile Modeling and Programming Environments; Mobile Database Management Systems) for the training of higher education applicants has been analyzed. The author's method of using the mobile modeling and programming tool in the Pydroid environment is presented. A comparative assessment of the functionality of five mobile ICT distance learning systems in the conditions of COVID-19 was carried out. A survey of the importance of using mobile ICT for distance learning in quarantine conditions was developed and analyzed.

ICT impact and firm size: Empirical results from Vietnam

This paper examines the effect of firm size on firms’ ICT adoption and productivity impact by running models for four size groups of 11,709 Vietnamese firms. The results reveal two main points. Firstly, the application of basic ICT is relatively comparable among firms of different sizes; however, there exists a considerable adoption gap in more advanced ICT solutions and employees’ ICT skills between medium-large firms and micro-small firms. Secondly, although ICT applications positively impact the productivity of Vietnamese firms in the whole sample, the impact of each group of ICT applications varies among firms of different sizes. Basic ICT applications can increase the productivity of micro firms while they cannot do the same for larger firms. In contrast, the application of sophisticated software solutions and employees’ ICT skills can push productivity for medium and large firms while having an insignificant impact on micro and small ones. Models running for a sub-sample of manufacturing firms confirm the results. These results provide implications for business executives and policymakers who regard the digital economy as a strategy for economic development.
