Complementary fields of study are converging toward the emergence of a new area of Human-Factors/Ergonomics (HF/E): Intra-Individual Ergonomics (I2E). These complementary fields include: Human Genetics (HG), Intra-Individual Environmental Interventions (IEIs), and Nutriceutical Interventions (NIs). Reviews of these fields demonstrate that interrelated intra-individual factors may directly and profoundly influence: Performance capabilities, Stressor resistances, and Wellbeing/Health. An integrating synthesis of HG, IIE, and NI factors is presented as part of a human-system framework. Highlighted are the potential of combining antioxidant-related interventions, and near-term research opportunities for maximizing cognitive and physical performance capabilities. Conclusions include: (1) I2E opportunities exist for markedly increasing physical and cognitive performance capabilities via combinations of the individual antioxidant approaches, (2) Associated I2E opportunities also exist for markedly increasing associated stressor resistances and wellbeing/health; and (3) Intra-Individual Ergonomics (I2E) is an emerging field with considerable for extending the future range of HF/E.
