Proposed Improvements to Production Facility Layout Using ARC and ARD at Home Industry Aurora Official

Home Industry Aurora Official, which is engaged in the manufacture of pillows and baby mattresses, faces problems related to inefficient facility layouts in the workflow. Suboptimal layouts result in excessive waste of distance, which affects production time and reduces operational efficiency. This study aims to design a more efficient facility layout by minimizing the distance between production processes. The methods used in this study are the ARC (Activity Relationship Chart) and ARD (Activity Relationship Diagram) methods, which can help design layouts based on the relationships between production activities and determine the relationships between activities based on their priority level of proximity. Based on the analysis results, the initial layout produces a total distance of 940 meters, while the two alternative proposed layouts produce distances of 310 meters and 405 meters respectively. Of the two proposed layouts, proposed layout 1 was chosen as the proposed layout for the company with a total distance of 310 meters, with a decrease of 67% from 100% of the total distance of the initial layout. The results of this study indicate that the application of proposed layout 1 can improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste time in the production process.

OPTIMASI PERSEDIAAN IKAN BANDENG TANPA DURI MENGGUNAKAN METODE STRATEGI EFISIENSI DALAM PRODUKSI

Haji Dinare's Thornless Milkfish Production House is a small industry or home industry in Tarakan City that buys, processes, and markets processed milkfish products abroad. The recording process is still manual, in this Milkfish Production House still uses book records so that the data generated is less accurate, effective, and efficient. In addition, this milkfish production house has weaknesses that need to be improved, namely purchase and inventory reporting whose accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency have not been met. The home industry that we raise, for example, the Production House of Thornless Milkfish, will be very good if it has a good management system so as to produce a total inventory cost that is close to optimal. One method to manage inventory properly is the Economic Order Quanit (EOQ) method, JIT, data collection, inventory turnover (Inventory Turnover Ratio), average inventory (Avarage Inventory), annual holding cost (Annual Holding Cost), and total annual inventory cost (Total Annual Inventory Cost).

Perancangan Alat Pengayak Maggot Portable Sebagai Bentuk Penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna Untuk UMKM dan Home Industry

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the economy but often face various challenges, such as limited capital, simple technology, and a low level of workforce education. One solution that can be implemented is Appropriate Technology (TTG), which aligns with local needs, is environmentally friendly and optimizes resource use. UMKM REPRO in Semarang, focusing on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation, faces challenges in the sieving process, which is time-consuming and reduces production efficiency. A maggot sieving tool was developed using the Value Engineering method, emphasizing safety, ergonomics, and cost analysis to address this issue. This tool is expected to make the maggot sieving process more efficient and economical, with an estimated production cost of Rp 290,000. Hygienic technological innovation of shrimp paste processing for home industry in Pulau Kampai Village, Langkat District

The catch of rebon shrimp which are abundant in season in the coastal of Pangkalan Susu subdistrict, is utilized by the community of Pulau Kampai village to be processed into shrimp paste which has been passed down for generations and has become a legendary product of this village. One community group that produces shrimp paste is the Atha Baroe home industry. Production yields, which are still on average 50 kg per month, are still very small because this business is still carried out in the traditional way and still requires a touch of technology to improve quality and selling power so that it can compete in the local market. To overcome these problems, the Community Service Team at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara offers the application of technology in the form of drying machines and vacuum packaging machines. The approach method used in the application of technological innovation is through a participatory, conceptual, theoretical, and practical approach as well as a reflective approach. The application of a drying machine can replace an open drying process that relies on sunlight, to improve the quality and hygiene of the final product through sensory tests which previously obtained e value of 6.550 ≤µ≤ 7.716 to 7.526 ≤µ≤ 8.803, besides that the operating capital of the machine is still affordable. Meanwhile, vacuum packaging machines are not only able to improve quality and maintain product durability but also increase product selling power.

PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI DAN PENGEMBANGAN PEMASARAN INDUSTRI RUMAH TANGGA PANGAN KHAS KABUPATEN TABANAN IBU SUMAWATI

The partner traditional food home industry sells lawar, tum, and timbungan. Every day the partners process 6 kg of meat, 0.5 kg of chilies, 1 kg of shallots, and 0.5 kg of garlic. The amount of production in a day reaches 5 timbungan, 12 packs of lawar, and 50 packs of tum. The produce is marketed locally at partners' kiosks from four in the afternoon to seven in the evening. The partner's business has the potential to develop further, because the number of orders on holidays and weekends can increase by up to 50% currently, the partner has problems with a shortage of production and product marketing quantities. The solution to overcome partner problems is carried out by providing assistance with production equipment, installing packaging labels, and installing brochures, banners, and promotions via social media Instagram and Facebook. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the results obtained are that the production equipment assistance provided is able to increase the number of partners' production by up to 50% and make the production time process more efficient. Creating Instagram and Facebook social media can be an alternative for marketing partner products to reach a wider market share. Apart from that, other capabilities obtained by partners, such as the use of production equipment and product packaging with packaging labels, have increased by up to 100%.

NILAI TOTAL PLATE COUNT (TPC) BUBUR BAYI HOME INDUSTRY

Complementary foods can be divided into two groups based on how they are made, namely instant and processed complementary foods. Instant complementary foods are products that are mass-produced and packaged by factories, such as instant baby porridge, and processed complementary foods are types of complementary foods that are prepared by mothers themselves at home with various creations and variations. Total plate count (TPC) is one of the parameters of microbial contamination in food. The aim of the study was to determine the total plate count value of home industry baby porridge samples (processed complementary food) in order to ensure the safety of consumption. This study was an analytical observational study. The TPC value was determined by counting the number of bacterial colonies that grew on PCA media with dilutions of 10-1 to 10-5. The collected data were tabulated and compared with the SNI 01-7111.4-2005 standard. The results of the study obtained the average TPC values as follows: sample A (1.15 × 104 colonies/gram); sample B (1.25 × 104 colonies/gram); sample C (2.32 × 104 colonies/gram); sample D (1.84 × 104 colonies/gram) and sample E (7.95 × 103 colonies/gram). It was concluded that all baby porridge samples tested had TPC values that exceeded the threshold set by SNI 01-7111.4-2005, which is 1×102 colonies/gram.

Optimal Bread Production Operator Placement by Using Hungarian Method

CV Roti Bangkit is a home industry that produces packaged bread with various variations. CV Roti Bangkit is addressed in Kadisono, Tegaltirto, Berbah District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Operator placement is done randomly in the manufacturing of oval cheese so that production targets are often not achieved. Therefore it's necessary to look at the position of operators.The problem of optimal operator placement can be done using the Hungarian method. Time data for each operator is measured for each work element, and the standard time is calculated. After receiving the most optimal operator placement, we can calculate the increased productivity before and after applying the assignment method. Based on this research, the standard operator time before applying the assignment method is 90.96 seconds, and after using the assignment method is 75.41 seconds. The level of productivity based on standard output calculations before and after the application of the assignment method increases productivity by 27.28%

ERGONOMIC RISK ASSESSMENT OF GADUNG PEELERS USING NORDIC BODY MAP (NBM) AND OVAKO WORK POSTURE ANALYSIS (OWAS) METHODS

Background: The activity of peeling gadung as a raw material for making gadung chips is done manually and repeatedly with an unnatural working posture and can cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Preventive measures need to be taken by carrying out ergonomic risk assessments. Objectives: The research aimed to analyze the level of ergonomic risk in MSDs using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Ovako Work Posture Analysis (OWAS) methods. Methods: The research method used was an analytical method with a cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted in the home industry gadung chips, Kediri in August 2024. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total sample of 10 gadung peeler workers. The variables in this study were the severity of muscle complaints and work posture (back, arm, leg, and load movements) as the risk level for MSDs. The type of data collection technique used was a field study by filling out the NBM questionnaire to determine the severity of MSDs. Working posture (back, arm, leg, and load movements) was also observed using the OWAS method by filling in a form. The results of the analysis will provide results as a reference for taking appropriate action to overcome ergonomic risks. Results: Based on data analysis using the NBM showed the percentage of MSDs, that are right shoulder, right wrist, and right hand had the highest proportion of scores for complaints of pain that always occurred (100%). The left wrist and shoulder area (96%), stiffness in the lower neck (92%), pain in the back (91%), pain in the waist (90%), and also pain in the right and left knee areas for lower limbs. The results of the ergonomic risk level analysis using the OWAS method showed that the working posture is included in the moderate risk category (score 2). Conclusion: Corrective action is needed to prevent musculoskeletal disorders such as improving work posture, doing stretching exercises before and after work and designing ergonomic work chairs.

ANALYSIS OF POTENTIAL HAZARDS FOR GADUNG CHIPS WORKERS USING THE HIRARC METHOD IN RINGINSARI VILLAGE KEDIRI REGENCY

Background: One of the industrial sectors that has a high risk of danger is the informal sector, one of which is the home industry of making chips. Knowledge about occupational health and safety is one of the factors that cause health problems and incidents in the workplace. Therefore, it is necessary to handle the problem of danger by identifying risks and controlling in minimizing the occurrence of accidents and occupational health disorders. Objectives: The purpose of this research was to determine the risk of work accidents, determine the level of work accident risk and provide suggestions for controlling the risk of work accidents that can occur in the cassava chips manufacturing industry. Methods: This study is a descriptive observational study, which is a research method that provides an in-depth description of the process of making gadung chips in a home industry which is then analyzed and compared based on existing reality. Observations are made directly to ensure that the process reflects daily practices in the home industry. The study was conducted with a cross-sectional approach, data will be collected at one time to understand the conditions at that time. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis and risk identification with the HIRARC method, namely: 1) Hazard identification, 2) Risk Assessment (Risk Analysis), 3) Determining Controls, 4) Documentation Socialization and Implementing Controls Results: 33 work accident risks were found that could occur in the process of making combined chips. The level of work accident risk from 33 risks obtained 42% low risk hazards, 21% medium risk hazards, 30% high risk hazards and 7% very high risk hazards Conclusion: Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: 1) 33 work accident risks were found that could occur in the process of making combined chips. 2) the level of work accident risk from 33 risks obtained 42% low risk hazards, 21% medium risk hazards, 30% high risk hazards and 7% very high risk hazards. 3) there are 33 risk control studies consisting of substitution control, administration, and use of PPE

EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF WORKERS AS A STEP TO ACCELERATE ACHIEVING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS) IN RINGINSARI VILLAGE, KEDIRI REGENCY

Counseling activities were given to all workers in the home industry of gadung chips in Ringinsari Village, Kandat District, Kediri Regency, as a form of community service in the form of delivering materials and simulations that are expected to increase workers' awareness of health and safety in the workplace. The counseling activities were carried out in September at the home of the industry owner. Before carrying out the counseling activities, there was a preparation process for approximately four weeks before the implementation of the activity, starting from determining the type of activity to submitting permits to the relevant parties. As a form of evaluation, this activity was attended by all workers and owners of gadung chips businesses, the participants participated in the activities with great enthusiasm and the counseling guidance activities ran smoothly.

Implementation of Digital Marketing in Efforts to Increase Sales Home Industry Custom Fishing Rod

The creative industry in Indonesia, particularly the home industry, is experiencing rapid growth due to the presence of various product innovations that cater to increasingly diverse market needs. The home fishing rod industry faces difficulties in expanding the market and increasing product sales. One of the main obstacles in expanding the audience is limited marketing and promotion. Therefore, digital marketing plays a crucial role in boosting sales and broadening the market reach. The purpose of this service is to help home industry players in custom fishing rods understand and implement digital marketing strategies through social media, creating optimized websites, and using digital advertising. The methods used in this service include needs analysis, training in the use of social media, website creation and optimization, and the use of digital advertising, such as Facebook Ads. The expected result is that home industry players in custom fishing rods can compete in the global market by using the right digital marketing.

Analisis Nilai Tambah Pengolahan Ikan Tuna (Studi Kasus Pada: Home Industry Rhoa Z Kota Ternate)

Simple processing of tuna catches can create added value. Production of tuna fish which is processed into fish floss and garo rica fish is also one of the superior products in the Rhoa Z Home Industry and has a relatively high selling price compared to other products. The aim of the research is to determine the income and added value of tuna fish processing obtained by Home Industry Rhoa Z. The method used in the research is the Hayami analysis method. The research results obtained on tuna fish processing products for fish floss products have an income of Rp. 51,456,108 fish floss in two sizes, 100 grams and 200 grams, 100 gram fish floss has an added value of IDR. 57,900 or 4.19% of production results. For 200 grams of fish floss, there is an added value of IDR. 41,800 or 1.39% of production results. Garo Rica fish has an income of Rp. 194,448,108 garo rica fish, there are also two sizes, 150 grams and 200 grams, 150 gram garo rica fish has an added value of Rp. 5,183 or 0.104% of production results. 200 gram Garo Rica fish has an added value of IDR. 23,713 or 0.30% of production results.Keywords: Value Added, Hayami Analysis, Tuna Fish Processing.

Analisis Pendapatan Usaha Rumah Tangga Kacang Aspal di Desa Loli Oge Kabupaten Donggala

This research aims to analyze the income of asphalt bean household businesses in Loli Oge Village, Donggala Regency. This research uses qualitative research using primary and secondary data. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive , namely calculating revenue, production costs and business income. The results of income analysis calculations show that the Asphalt Nut household business is very profitable because the income received by the owner for one month is IDR . 2,696,333,- per month, received revenue of IDR. 6,000,000,- per month minus production costs of IDR. 3,303,667,-. Sosialisasi UMKM Pembuatan Permen Daun Kelor di Desa Mekar Sari

Community Service Program (KKN) is a platform for applying and developing knowledge and technology outside the campus, with a specific timeframe, work mechanism, and set requirements. KKN organized by Higher Education Institutions aims to enhance the quality of education for students, allowing them to gain greater added value in higher education. Through the implementation of KKN, it is expected that students can develop their social and personal competencies. This KKN program took place from July 25 to August 24, 2024, in Mekar Sari Village, Laut Tador Subdistrict, Batubara Regency. Mekar Sari Village is rich in natural resources that need to be developed to improve the welfare of the community. One of the programs initiated in this KKN is the socialization of making candy from moringa leaves as a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) product. This program aims to add value to existing natural resources while empowering the village community by improving their skills and income. By utilizing local potential, it is hoped that Mekar Sari Village can develop a sustainable home industry and have a positive impact on the village's economy. This socialization program includes technical training in candy production, product packaging, and effective marketing strategies to ensure the product can compete in wider markets.

Empowerment of Kelingan Hamlet Home Tofu Industry through Improving Production Quality and Utilizing Digital Technology

This study examines efforts to improve the quality and production of tofu in the home industry, as well as the use of technology for marketing of MSMEs. This study uses field observation, interview, and literature analysis methods to identify challenges and solutions in small-scale tofu production. The results of the study indicate that improving water quality, standardizing production processes, and utilizing digital technology for marketing can significantly improve product quality and market reach. In conclusion, the integration of appropriate technology and digital marketing strategies can be a catalyst for the development of the home tofu industry and MSMEs in general.

Analysis of Financial Statements to Assess the Profitability of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk for the Period 2019-2023

In an ever-evolving business landscape, the ability to assess a company's financial health is becoming increasingly crucial. The company's ability to generate profits is one of the main indicators of operational success and attractiveness for investors. PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk, as one of the main players in the home and lifestyle retail industry in Indonesia, is interesting to study more deeply regarding its financial performance, especially from the aspect of profitability. Financial statement analysis is a key instrument in assessing the financial health and growth prospects of this company. This study comprehensively examines the financial statements of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk over a five-year period, from 2019 to 2023. The analysis method used is financial ratio analysis with a focus on profitability ratios such as Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM). The data used is sourced from the company's audited annual financial statements. The results of the study show that the profitability of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk fluctuated during the period. There was a significant decline in 2020 due to the pandemic. This study concludes that PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk's financial performance, as measured by Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Asset (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE), is still in the poor category.

Analysis of Red Brick Product Quality Improvement at UD. Batu Bata Bulan Using CRISP-DM and C4.5 Algorithm

UD Batu Bata Bulan is a home industry in Batu Bulan Village that produces red bricks. The industry has been operating for 20 years and has been producing bricks every day. The home industry is facing problems related to the quality of red bricks that require appropriate action to improve to meet the desired quality. In addition, the home industry is still experiencing difficulties in conducting product quality inspections due to the lack of inspection technology to help the process. The problems faced can be detrimental to UD. Batu Bata Bulan. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the causes of defective products in the process of producing red bricks and improve the quality of red brick products. Therefore, the researcher conducted an analysis to address the problems that occurred in the company related to product quality. The solution that can be given is to classify the type of defective product using the role of data mining. In this study, the standard Cross Industry Standard Process For Data Mining (CRISP-DM) procedure and C.45 Algorithm were used in data processing.The result of this research indicate significant knowledge in classifying black color defect in data this could facilitate the quality inspection department in making accurate decisions.

Sustainability of Palm Sugar Home Industry Management in Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Regency

The palm sugar industry in Rokan Hulu Regency, Indonesia, is a prominent agro-industry operating at a household level and mainly relies on raw palm sap. This study assesses the sustainability of the industry by analyzing its ecological, economic, social, legal/institutional, and technological dimensions. Using Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and participatory prospective analysis, findings indicate moderate sustainability in all dimensions except for legal/institutional aspects, which require improvement. Practical recommendations focus on institutional support, adoption of agroforestry, digital literacy, and women empowerment to enhance the industry’s resilience and adaptability. These recommendations aim to facilitate long-term sustainability by strengthening community involvement and integrating modern technology. The outcomes contribute to broader insights on managing small-scale agro-industries sustainably within rural communities.

This community service aims to increase the quality and quantity of rice cracker production in household households through the application of appropriate technology. The method of implementing this service used training and mentoring. The partners of this activity were members of the “Kerupuk Nasi Bersama” Home Industry in Pematang Baih Village, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The results of this service showed that IRT partners had the ability to operate automatic cracker cutting equipment technology and dough mixer machines so that they could increase the quality and quantity of rice cracker production. This Appropriate Technology makes it easier for housewives to repair and increase product quality and quantity.
