Michael Ray FitzGerald Michael Ray FitzGerald Flagler College and University of North Florida Michael Ray FitzGerald is a film/television historian and a freelance journalist. He has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Jacksonville (Florida) University, a master’s in Mass Communication from the University of Florida, where he taught journalism, and a doctorate in Film and Media Studies from the University of Reading (UK). He teaches communication at Flagler College and the University of North Florida. His book Native Americans on Network TV (2013) is a top seller in Rowman & Littlefield’s Film and History Series.
