Ценностно-смысловые основы системы подготовки будущих педагогов исторических регионов Российской Федерации (на примере Азовского государственного педагогического университета)

The purpose of the study is to identify the value-semantic foundations of the training of future teachers and describe the experience of introducing these foundations into the practice of educational activities of one of the pedagogical universities of the historical regions of the Russian Federation. The article analyzes the regulatory framework for the formation of the value-semantic foundations of the training of future teachers, scientific research in this area of pedagogical work and the structural characteristics of the personal and professional values of teaching staff. The scientific novelty of the research consists in substantiating the content of activities aimed at introducing a value-based approach into the system of training future teachers of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. As a result, the normative and legal framework of the spiritual and moral education of student youth is analyzed; the theoretical aspects of the formation of value-semantic orientations of the teacher's personality are studied; the value-semantic foundations of the system of training future teachers in modern conditions are identified; and the relevant experience of one of the pedagogical universities of historical regions is described.

A Post-Mortem Molecular Damage Profile in the Ancient Human Mitochondrial DNA.

Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis is crucial for understanding human population structure and genetic diversity. However, post-mortem DNA damage poses challenges, that make analysis difficult. DNA preservation is affected by environmental conditions which, among other factors, complicates the differentiation of endogenous variants from artefacts in ancient mtDNA mix profiles. This study aims to develop a molecular damage profile for ancient mtDNA that can become a useful tool in analysing mtDNA from ancient remains. A dataset of 427 whole genomes or capture of mtDNA sequences from individuals representing different historical periods and climatic regions was compiled from the ENA database. Present-day and UDG-treated ancient samples were also included and used to establish levels of damaged reads. Results indicated that samples from cold regions exhibited the lowest percentage of damaged reads, followed by arid, cold, tropical and temperate regions, with significant differences observed between cold and temperate regions. A global damage profile was generated, identifying 2933 positions (25% of the positions considered) with damage in more than 23.8% of the samples analysed, deemed as damage hotspots. Notably, 2856 of these hotspots had never been reported as damage or mutational hotspots, or heteroplasmic positions. Damage hotspot frequency by position was slightly higher in the non-coding region compared with the coding region. In conclusion, this study provides a molecular damage profile for ancient mtDNA analysis that is expected to be a valuable tool in the interpretation of mtDNA variation in ancient samples.

The Cultural Legacy of Historical Ethnic Violence: The Impact on Access to Finance and Innovation

Using the case of the pogroms that took place in the historical region of the 'Pale of Settlement' in Eastern Europe, this paper analyzes the cultural legacy of ethnic violence and its long-term economic impact on access to finance and on corporate innovation. We find that firms in regions with a higher historical intensity of ethnic persecution face greater financial constraints, relying more on internal finance and experiencing reduced access to external finance. These financial limitations are linked to sluggish innovation activities among present-day firms. We propose that a mechanism of financial antipathy, rooted in a persistent anti-market culture fostered by historical ethnic animosity, explains these effects and reflects a long-term degradation of local social capital. Our results are supported by causal evidence using instrumental variables based on the precursors of historical inter-ethnic violence. The animosity and discrimination against the minority group appear to transfer to the broader economic activities in which that group was involved, creating lasting economic consequences for the majority population – consequences that continue to affect financial development and innovation to the present day.

Mapping the Geographic Distribution of Dimorphic Mycoses Using a U.S. Commercial Insurance Database

Abstract Background The dimorphic mycoses (DM) histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, and coccidioidomycosis are classically thought to be geographically restricted to specific regions of the United States. The current scientific consensus is that these geographic boundaries are expanding, but the extent of this expansion remains uncertain. Methods This study is a retrospective analysis of >21 million (annually) commercially insured individuals within the United States during 2007-2016. Diagnosis of histoplasmosis, coccidioidomycosis, and blastomycosis were identified using International Classification of Diseases, 9th/10th Revision within the MerativeTM MarketScan® database. Results There were 37,513 histoplasmosis, 14,987 coccidioidomycosis, and 2,207 blastomycosis diagnoses during 2007-2016 within 387 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs). DM were consistently diagnosed outside their historical hyperendemic regions. Conclusions New diagnoses of histoplasmosis, coccidioidomycosis, and blastomycosis were routinely made outside their historically defined regions of endemicity. While exposure to hyperendemic regions remains a risk factor for developing a DM infection, clinicians should consider testing any patient presenting with a compatible clinical syndrome, regardless of their geographic history. Increased suspicion of DM infection will lead to fewer missed or delayed diagnoses thereby improving patient outcomes.

Sedimentary Signatures of Super Typhoon Haiyan: Insight from Core Record in South China Sea

Sedimentary records of event deposits are crucial for regional natural disaster risk assessments and hazard history reconstructions. After Super Typhoon Haiyan passed through the South China Sea in 2013, five gravity cores were collected along the typhoon path in the southern South China Sea basin (>3800 mbsl). The results showed that Super Typhoon Haiyan deposits with clear graded bedding are preserved at the top of all cores. The thickness of the typhoon layers ranges from 20 to 240 cm and is related to changes in typhoon intensity. The lack of river-connected submarine canyon systems limited the transportation of terrestrial sediments from land to sea. Super Typhoon Haiyan-induced large surface waves played an important role in carrying suspended sediment from the Philippines. The Mn-rich layers at the bottom of the typhoon layers may be related to the soil and rock composition of the Palawan region, which experienced tsunami-like storm surges caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan. These Mn-rich layers may serve as a proxy for sediment export from large-scale extreme terrigenous events. This study provides the first sedimentary record of extreme typhoon events in the deep ocean, which may shed light on reconstructing regional hazard history.

RELIGIOUS CENTERS OF HALICHINA: FROM SPIRITUAL CENTERS TO THE FORTS OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND PSYCHOLOGICAL REHABILITATION

Statement of the problem. Galicia, a historical and cultural region of Ukraine, has always been known for its rich religious life. Religious centers in this region acted not only as places of worship, but also as important centers of cultural, social and national life. This article examines the evolution of religious centers in Galicia, from their emergence as spiritual centers to the modern understanding of their role as rafts of national identity and places of psychological rehabilitation. The relevance of the article is determined by the specifics of the influence of spiritual life on the formation of statehood and national identity. Over the last decade, there has been a strong outburst of scientific and public interest in the history of the Christianization of Ukraine, the church, religious traditions, and the Galician spiritual tradition needs the most research. The purpose of the article is to determine the role of the Galician Metropolis in the spiritual worldview, value orientations and how they reflect and transform the sacred space of the transcendent and influence people's lives. The novelty of the article is determined by the fact that, for the first time, the national peculiarities of the sacred heritage of Galicia, their influence on the value-moral and psychological potential and anthropological peculiarities of the formation of religious objectification of the Western region of Ukraine have been deeply investigated. Today, when Ukraine is facing new challenges of the religious, philosophical, political, and economic dimensions, it is very important to show the role of valuable, sacralized, transcendent factors in the formation of national sakrumy through the study of the problems of spiritual heritage. This article asserts that the worldview-mental core of the philosophy and esthetosphere of Ukrainian national culture is visualized in sacred places, which are the basis of spirituality and value identity of the region. It was found that they have not only an original, unique cultural content and form, but also their own spiritual territory, where they affirm and reveal the traditional values of the metaphysics of culture. Where a person correlates himself with fundamental spiritual values, the Absolute, with higher meanings, national shrines.

1930 ЖЫЛДАРДЫҢ БАСЫНДАҒЫ АҚТӨБЕ ӨҢІРІНДЕГІ БОСҚЫНШЫЛЫҚТЫҢ ТАРИХЫ

This article focuses on the study of the history of population migrations in the Aktobe region in the early 1930s. The forced migration of the Kazakh people during the early 1930s is one of the pressing issues in national history. The mass exodus of the Kazakh population was a direct consequence of the political and economic campaigns conducted by the Soviet government, followed by a devastating famine. The aim of the article is to examine the process of population migrations in this region and provide a historical assessment of the place and significance of these tragic years in the region's history. The study identifies the causes, progress, scale, and specific characteristics of the migration periods in the Aktobe region, the number of refugees, migration routes, the attitude of government bodies towards the famine and migrations, as well as the measures taken and their outcomes. The article is based on the principles of historicism and objectivity, adopting a national perspective. In the process of studying the causes, progression, and periodic features of the Kazakh migrations, the problem-chronological method was employed. Additionally, methods such as generalization, analysis, comparative-historical, historical-genetic, retrospective, and statistical approaches were used in the research. These methods helped to identify the causes of the migrations, their onset, peak, and conclusion, the scale of the migrations, the number of refugees, and the stance and policies of the government bodies. The conclusions drawn from this study are significant and can be applied to teaching the regional history.

Demographic and Regional Labour Market Analysis of the Historic Market Towns of Greater Cumania, Hungary

The subject of my research is the study of the settlements with a rural-urban past in the Greater Cumania (Hungarian name of the region: Nagykunság). This historic small region in the Northern Great Plain region is a region with many economic and social problems. My research covers six settlements, all of which have a rural-urban past, but only five of them have city status today: Karcag, Kisújszállás Kunhegyes, Kunszentmárton and Túrkeve. Kunmadaras is a municipality. The focus of my research is on the common economic and cultural heritage of these settlements and their unique development paths. The common economic and cultural heritage is the past as a field town, and the heritage that the Kuns who founded the settlements not only had an administration independent of the county system, a patent status, but also shared a common culture. Grater Cumania as a historical region is no longer a functional unit. Starting from common foundations, the six settlements have responded differently to the challenges of the past decades. The extent to which each of them has successfully responded to the economic and social challenges they have faced is faithfully reflected in their economic and social relations. The aim of my research is, on the one hand, to review the current balance of the settlements with a rural-urban past in Greater Cumania, both individually and in comparison with each other, in order to identify future opportunities, possibilities and threats. On the other hand, my aim is also to examine what the common Greater Cumanian heritage means for the settlements that have taken different development paths and rely on different spatial relations. Can a cultural product, a brand, be built out of it?

FORECAST OF THE RESERVOIR DISTRIBUTION ON THE I GAZANBULAG HORIZON OF THE GAZANBULAG FIELD USING ATTRIBUTE ANALYSIS OF 3D SEISMIC DATA

Using of attribute analysis on the 3D seismic cube to predict the distribution area of reservoirs on the I Gazanbulag horizon in the Gazanbulag field of the Ganja Oil and Gas Region has been considered. The article also gives brief information about the region's history of geological and geophysical studies. Also, more perspective attributes were identified to achieve the set goal. This was done by analyzing the obtained results based on the sensitivity of the applied attributes to the separation of the zones selected by the variable characteristics of the wave field. Some longitudinal and transverse attribute sections are presented, to ensure the accuracy of the calculations, well data were also used. As a result, I Gazanbulag horizon is divided into three facies. Keywords: seismic horizon, 3D seismic survey, seismic attribute, attribute cube, facies.

Population Dynamics as an Urbanization Factor in the Issyk-Kul Region (on the Example of the Karakol City)

The article examines population dynamics as a key factor in the urbanization of the Issyk-Kul region using the city of Karakol as an example. The stages of development of the city of Karakol in the Issyk-Kul region, population dynamics, its structure and migration, the impact of these factors on the development of urban infrastructure and the socio-economic situation in the region are analyzed. The study begins in the 1860s, when the city was founded by Staff Captain Kulbars as a military and administrative center on the caravan road between the Chu River Valley and Kashgar, a historical region in eastern China under the Russian Empire. Then the impact of the Soviet Union on the city in the 20th century and changes in its structure and development are analyzed. The events after the collapse of the USSR and their impact on the city of Karakol are considered. Statistical analysis has revealed objective processes that cause shifts in the location of production, population settlement, habitat transformation, and urbanization.

Mpox Vaccine Acceptance, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We report general acceptance (61.0%) of an mpox vaccine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo among 5,226 survey respondents. Healthcare workers and respondents in historic mpox-endemic regions had higher acceptance rates. These data highlight the need for increased community engagement and sensitization before widespread deployment of mpox vaccines.

Identifying potential medical aid beneficiaries using machine learning: A Korean Nationwide cohort study.

To identify potential medical aid beneficiaries using demographic and medical history of individuals and analyzing important features qualitatively. This retrospective, national cohort, case-control study included data from the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) in Korea between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2019. Potential medical aid beneficiaries were classified using several machine learning models (linear models and tree-based models). Demographic data such as age, sex, region, insurance type, insurance fee, and medical history such as diagnosis, operation, statement, visits, and costs were collected. Those data were transformed into a one-dimensional vector for each individual, allowing machine learning models to learn. For feature importance calculation, we used the average gain across all splits for each feature. 274,635 individuals were finally included in the study population, and 62,501 were classified as potential medical aid beneficiaries. XGBoost successfully classified potential medical aid beneficiaries with an AUROC of around 0.891. Assuming predicting before two years, the performance was still significant with an AUROC of around 0.832. Economic variables, such as insurance fees and several costs, turned out to be the most important, but variables regarding medical status, such as the results of blood tests and history of chronic diseases, were also important. Machine learning-based models successfully screened potential medical aid beneficiaries. Qualitative analysis of important features well reflected prior knowledge regarding public health. These findings can contribute to the soundness of healthcare finance and the improvement of public health.

The uses of education: young women negotiating migration, employment, and romance in Gujarat, India

ABSTRACT This paper draws on a three-year ethnography anchored at a premier pharmacy college in Gujarat to explore the uses of education for academically high-achieving young women, specifically, those who had migrated to attend college. Since migration for education had been reluctantly permitted by families, the completion of education interrupted women’s mobility. Exploitative labor markets and familial control over marriage further attenuated mobility. Differentiated movements followed. Indigenous and rural women continued migration for work. Urban women returned home to work. Very rich women in college romance not sanctioned by the family pursued international migration. But across the differences, there were two similarities. First, women relied on education to transform experiences of stuckedness. Those who pursued employment sought jobs they could frame as a “learning opportunity.” Those pursuing love strategized family resources for international migration by cloaking it under education. For academically high-achieving women, reframing employment and romance as educational pursuits legitimized aspiration. Second, the idealized direction of aspiration was entrepreneurial conjugality, not just for romantically committed women. In keeping with the trading histories of the region, Gujarati women hoped to start a family-owned pharmacy after marriage. Community histories both directed women’s aspirations and were used by them as strategic resources, but subjectivities attached to education and conjugality gave meaning to im/mobility. I suggest that situating im/mobility in regional histories and personal meaning making can move migration research beyond its transnational mobility bias and feminizing imperatives.

A Review of Economic Data on the Capitalization of Agricultural Goods from Small-Scale Agricultural Holdings in the

The economic effects of the First World War included various direct and indirect dimensions. The war resulted not only in material and human loss but also in significant restructuring of economic flows and mechanisms; further displacements and reorganizations arose from the new political and economic order established post-1918. Discussing the direct impact of the war as well as the economic fallout from the 1918 Union of the historical provinces of Romania is necessary in this specific instance. Historiographically, it is important to acknowledge that the immediate repercussions of the war have frequently been examined, whereas historians have typically avoided scrutinizing the economic ramifications of the “Great Union” and have been even less inclined to regard the war's consequences as a cost of the 1918 Union. The significant endeavors to establish a state including all Romanian historical regions during the First World War were driven by national goals and should stay untainted by secondary economic factors. Historians` inclination to attribute the negative features to the conflict while deeming the positive ones as beneficial outcomes of the “Great Union” is, however, less legitimate. Had Romanian society and political entities not truly pursued the reunification of Romanian territory in Austria-Hungary with the “Old Kingdom”, Romania would not have engaged in the war in 1916. Therefore, we consider that it is justifiable to include the economic implications of the war as integral to the comprehensive assessment of the Union of 1918.

Valorising Transnational Heritage Through Cultural Routes—European Travels in Special Collections of Adriatic Libraries

In this paper, the authors present the possibilities of transnational networking and developing innovative cultural routes through participatory research and creative presentations of European cultural heritage in special collections of Adriatic libraries. The purpose of the research, conducted in the framework of the course Travel Writing and Cultural Routes, was to identify collections that contain travel writing material related to the broader Euro-Mediterranean area and to enable its better visibility through the digitization and creation of new European cultural routes. The students, with the help of librarians at the University Library in Pula, explored special collections, such as the Marine Library, and proposed the creation of new cultural routes, following the itineraries of European travel writers in the Adriatic. The conducted research indicated collections and materials in heritage institutions (archives, libraries and museums) in Pula and Istria relevant to the topics of cultural routes and travel in Europe, as well as regional multicultural history. Libraries in Istria and Dalmatia have valuable collections of rare archival material related to European travels to the Adriatic. The cataloguing and digitisation of rare travel texts has the potential to raise awareness of these collections, adding to their significance for academic research and heritage-based tourism.

Business history and the resilience of regional economies

While resilience has become a key concern within a variety of disciplines in recent years, it requires further development in the field of business history. With the aim of providing new conceptual and empirical insights into the study of regional business history, in this introduction to this special issue we provide a general overview to the literature on regional economic resilience and to the concept of resilience. This is followed by a review of the recent research on business history that use the resilience concept. We then establish the analytical framework and present the aims and boundaries of our research. In the next section, we briefly describe the content of the articles included in this special issue. We finally discuss these articles in order to shed light on the uniqueness and universality applied to the resilience of regional economies.

Aseptic Otogenic Lateral Sinus Thrombosis – A case report

Background: In pre-antibiotic era Lateral Sinus Thrombosis (LST) was the second most common intracranial complication of otitis media with almost 100 % mortality. Now the trend has been changed. Easy availability of antibiotics has made this complication very rare. Mortality rate is also drastically reduced with alteration of the presentation of the disease. Objectives: The aim of this case report is to focus on the altered presentation of the disease, do analysis and explain the reasons behind that. Case Summary: It was a 65 years old, physically well build & psychologically sound gentleman admitted in the department of ENT-Head & Neck Surgery through Emergency with severe pain in left temporal region and concomitant history of discharge from Left ear in October, 2023. He was diagnosed as a case of LST otogenic in origin on MRI and MRV of brain. Conclusions: Otogenic LST, though has become a rare entity, can still happen with different presentation. Therefore, keeping a high level of suspicion is essential for any patient coming with severe earache and middle ear infection. Though antibiotics are available as OTC (over the counter)choosing a wrong antibiotic, not adequate in terms of dosage and duration; candirectthe clinical course towards a potentially dangerous catastrophe. How does contact valence and group salience affect outgroup attitudes in asynchronous computer mediated contact? Experiments on intergroup contact via social media posts

ABSTRACT The prejudice reduction potential of face-to-face intergroup contact is widely established, but we know much less about computer-mediated intergroup contact (online contact) specifically via social media where interactions are less controlled and mostly asynchronous. Additionally, much of the work on online contact has focused on positive, controlled contact, neglecting the effect of negative contact. We examined the effects of mediated contact via online posts with differing valence (positive, negative, and neutral) in three experimental studies, in an imaginary scenario (Study 1: N = 120) and a real intergroup scenario with South and North Indians (Study 2: N = 296, Study 3: N = 336). Main effects of One way and factorial ANOVA showed that contact valence significantly affected outgroup attitudes in Study 1 & 2 but was not replicated in Study 3, where quality and quantity of past contact and status differences emerged as significant predictors of attitudes. Multiple mediation analysis revealed that intergroup anxiety and quality of contact explained changes in attitudes, which was less affected by valence and more by regional identity and history of contact. Findings are discussed in light of the possibilities and limitations of asynchronous mediated contact on social media.

Formiranje novih pravaca historiografije: Aktuelna konceptualizacija modernosti

The article deals with the modern problems of archival science, historiography, source studies in the post-Soviet space of science of the Russian Federation, summarizes the results of the science of the past century, determines the prospects of future relevant concept ology of modernity. The author examines the state of archival affairs in the Republic of Kalmykia on the problems of regional history, shows the main characteristics of modern historical science in the region, legitimate interests in the development of archeography. For the first time in the history of the state, a systemic failure of archival science as a form of manifestation of record keeping, the need to rebuild the archival system is shown, the urgency of the problem of the unified state archival fund (EGAF) is indicated: its formation, formation, preservation, responsibility for its preservation. One of the features of archival funds is their classification, the modern correct structure of preservation and their origin allows us to determine the place and their role in the history of the archival service, to show their genres and fields of knowledge. The author emphasizes the importance and world practice of modern archival science in the field of cognitive space, opens up the possibility of analyzing new facts in the history of Russian statehood, concluding that the actualization translation concluding that the actualization of modern conceptology makes it possible to form new directions in the science of historical knowledge of the past. With the historical development, the problems of knowledge aimed at its humanization are increasingly being considered.
