The purpose of the study is to identify the value-semantic foundations of the training of future teachers and describe the experience of introducing these foundations into the practice of educational activities of one of the pedagogical universities of the historical regions of the Russian Federation. The article analyzes the regulatory framework for the formation of the value-semantic foundations of the training of future teachers, scientific research in this area of pedagogical work and the structural characteristics of the personal and professional values of teaching staff. The scientific novelty of the research consists in substantiating the content of activities aimed at introducing a value-based approach into the system of training future teachers of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. As a result, the normative and legal framework of the spiritual and moral education of student youth is analyzed; the theoretical aspects of the formation of value-semantic orientations of the teacher's personality are studied; the value-semantic foundations of the system of training future teachers in modern conditions are identified; and the relevant experience of one of the pedagogical universities of historical regions is described.
