Factors Affecting the Perception of Computing Literacy Among Business Majors

Abstract The self-perceived computer literacy of undergraduate students who are not majoring in management information systems (MIS) was examined. Participants included 123 undergraduate students enrolled in an upper-level computer literacy course, the last MIS course required for business students. Analysis of questionnaire responses indicated that gender, prior computer skills, and a high level of familiarity with spreadsheets were related to self-perceived computer literacy.
