Parental Involvement and Home Background as Determinants of Students' Interest in Islamic Studies in Oyo North, Oyo State, Nigeria

The study aimed to examine the relationship between parental involvement and students' moral decadence among 1,400 SSS 2 Islamic Studies students in 9 Local Government Areas in Oyo North. Inadequate parental involvement and poor home backgrounds have been reported as factors responsible for moral decadence among youths. The study examined parental involvement and home background as determinants of moral decadence among senior secondary school students in Oyo North of Oyo state. Specifically, the study seeks to: examine parental involvement as a determinant of moral decadence among students in Oyo North of Oyo State. Two research questions with corresponding hypotheses were tested at a 0.05 level of significance. A descriptive research design of correlation was used. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data while the research hypotheses were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis. The paper showed that there is a significant relationship between parental home background and students’ moral decadence (Chi. 127.55; p.<0.05). The study found that high parental involvement significantly reduces moral decadence among students in Oyo North, Oyo State. It also found that a good parental home background decreases this phenomenon. The study recommends parents improve their involvement in moral teaching, monitor their children's friends, communicate frequently, and serve as role models. It also suggests that parents should maintain a stable household and limit the number of children they can train properly to prevent moral decadence. This approach could help reduce or prevent moral decadence among students in Oyo North.

The Parental Involvement and Learning Media in Health Education for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects social communication and behavior, requiring specialized approaches for health education. Parental involvement and the type of learning media play a significant role in health education outcomes for children with ASD. This study examines the relationship between parental involvement, learning media (digital vs. traditional), and health education outcomes for children with ASD. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 83 parents of children diagnosed with ASD. Data were collected through structured questionnaires assessing parental involvement and the type of learning media used. Bivariate analysis was performed to examine associations between these variables. Most parents (78.3%) were female, and 55.4% used digital learning media. Children with high parental involvement had significantly higher self-care scores (mean = 7.6, p< 0.01) compared to those with lower involvement (mean = 6.3). Digital media was more effective than traditional media, with children using digital tools showing a 30% increase in health knowledge (p= 0.02). The combination of high parental involvement and digital media use produced the best educational outcomes (mean = 8.1, p = 0.001). High parental involvement and the use of digital learning media are positively associated with better health education outcomes in children with ASD. Interventions targeting increased parental engagement and enhanced access to digital learning media could improve health education for children with ASD.

National trends and ecological factors of physical activity engagement among U.S youth before and during the COVID-19 pandemic: A cohort study from 2019 to 2021

BackgroundThis study aims to investigate the trends and ecological determinants of physical activity among U.S. children and adolescents during the 2019–2021 period, encompassing the COVID-19 pandemic’s onset and subsequent years.MethodsUtilizing data from the National Survey of Children’s Health over three years, this cohort study analyzed physical activity levels and ecological determinants among 82,068 participants aged 6–17. The sample included 36,133 children (44%) and 45,935 adolescents (56%), with variables assessed by caregiver reports.ResultsThe analysis revealed a significant decline in physical activity among children from 2019 to 2020, followed by a recovery in 2021, whereas adolescents showed a continued decrease without recovery. Over the study period, children were consistently more active than adolescents. Better health status, normal weight, less screen time, stronger peer relationships, higher parental involvement, better family resilience and greater school participation were consistently correlated with increased physical activity in both age groups. Sleep duration was a predictor of activity only in children, while mental health status was solely a predictor in adolescents. Neighborhood environment consistently predicted children’s activity levels but was a significant factor for adolescents only in 2020.ConclusionsThese findings highlight the differing impacts of the pandemic on physical activity between children and adolescents, emphasizing the need for targeted public health interventions, particularly for adolescents whose activity levels have not recovered from the pandemic period. Age-specific physical activity interventions should consider sleep duration and neighborhood environmental factors when targeting children and mental health factors when focused on adolescents.

Assessing the Impact of Different Levels of Parental Involvement in the NICU on Neonatal Outcomes and Parental Mental Health

ABSTRACT Background: Parental involvement in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) has been recognized as crucial for neonatal outcomes and parental mental health. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted, involving 300 neonates admitted to the NICU over 1 year. Parental involvement was categorized into three levels: high, moderate, and low, based on the frequency and intensity of parental participation in neonatal care. Neonatal outcomes including the length of hospital stay, incidence of complications, and parental mental health outcomes measured through standardized scales were compared among the three groups. Results: Neonates with high parental involvement had a significantly shorter length of hospital stay (mean difference = 5 days, P < 0.001) compared to those with moderate or low involvement. Complication rates were also lower in the high involvement group (20%) compared to moderate (35%) and low (45%) involvement groups. Parental mental health scores were the highest in the high involvement group (mean score = 75), followed by moderate (mean score = 60) and low (mean score = 45) involvement groups. Conclusion: Higher levels of parental involvement in the NICU are associated with improved neonatal outcomes and better parental mental health.

Impact of Parental Involvement on Child Compliance During Dental Procedures.

Effective management of child behavior during dental procedures is crucial for successful treatment outcomes and promoting oral health. Parental involvement has been recognized as a key factor influencing child compliance in various healthcare settings, but its specific impact on child compliance during dental appointments remains understudied. A cross-sectional clinical research involving 100 children scheduled for routine dental treatments. Parental involvement was categorized as high, moderate, or low based on the level of parental presence and interaction during the dental appointment. Child compliance was assessed using a validated behavior rating scale, evaluating factors such as cooperation, anxiety, and disruptive behavior during the dental procedure. Statistical analysis, including correlation analysis and ANOVA, was performed to determine the association between parental involvement and child compliance. The results revealed a significant correlation between parental involvement and child compliance (P < 0.05). Children with high levels of parental involvement demonstrated greater compliance during dental procedures compared to those with moderate or low levels of parental involvement. Specifically, children with high parental involvement exhibited lower levels of anxiety, reduced disruptive behavior, and greater cooperation with the dental team. This research provides evidence of the positive impact of parental involvement on child compliance during dental procedures in pediatric patients. Higher levels of parental presence and interaction were associated with improved child behavior and cooperation, highlighting the importance of parental involvement in promoting positive oral health behaviors and facilitating successful dental treatments. These findings underscore the need for tailored interventions targeted at enhancing parental involvement and optimizing child compliance in the dental setting.

The cross-sectional and prospective associations of parental practices and environmental factors with 24-hour movement behaviours among school-aged Asian children

BackgroundParental practices and neighbourhood environmental factors may influence children’s movement behaviours. We aimed to investigate the cross-sectional and prospective associations of parental practices and neighbourhood environmental factors with accelerometer-measured 24-hour movement behaviours (24 h-MBs) among school-aged children in Singapore.MethodsThe Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) study collected information on dimensions of parental practices and neighbourhood environment at age 5.5 years. Confirmatory factor analyses were performed to generate latent variables and used to compute overall parental practices [involvement in PA + support for PA + control of screen viewing context] and environmental scores [facilities for active play + active mobility facilitators + barriers*-1]. Children wore an accelerometer on their non-dominant wrist for seven consecutive days at ages 5.5 and 8 years. The R-package GGIR 2.6 was used to derive moderate-to-vigorous-intensity physical activity (MVPA), light-intensity physical activity (LPA), inactivity, and total-sleep (napping+night sleep) minutes per day. Associations were determined using compositional data analysis with multivariate linear regression models, taking into account potential confounders.ResultsAmong 425 children (48% girls, 59% Chinese), higher parental involvement in PA, parental support for PA and overall parental practices were associated with 24 h-MBs at ages 5.5 and 8 years, specifically with greater time spent in MVPA and less time being inactive relative to the remaining movement behaviours. The corresponding mean changes in the overall 24 h-MB for increasing parental practices from lowest to highest scores (− 2 to + 2 z-scores) indicated potential increases of up to 15-minutes in MVPA, 20-minutes in LPA, 5-minutes in sleep duration, and a reduction of 40-minutes in inactivity at age 5.5 years. At age 8 years, this could translate to approximately 15-minutes more of MVPA, 20-minutes more of LPA, a 20-minute reduction in sleep duration, and a 20-minute reduction in inactivity. Parental control of screen viewing contexts and neighbourhood environmental factors were not associated with 24 h-MBs.ConclusionsParental practices but not environmental factors were associated with higher MVPA and lower inactivity among Singaporean children, even at a later age. Further research may provide insights that support development of targeted public health strategies to promote healthier movement behaviours among children.Study registrationThis study was registered on 4th August 2010 and is available online at ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT01174875.

Parental involvement and education outcomes of their children

ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of parental involvement on the education outcomes of their children, specifically focusing on the completion of high school. It extends the existing literature by considering the characteristics of both children and parents, and by examining non-school-related parental involvement in a child’s everyday life. The analysis utilizes a publicly available database, the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997, with a sample of American respondents born between 1983 and 1984 who lived with both birth parents during their early teenage years. The study employs simple logistic regression and subclassification on propensity score to estimate causal treatment effects. The results indicate that higher parental involvement is associated with an increased probability of high school graduation, while stricter parental behaviour is found to decrease the expected likelihood of completing high school.

Efforts to Improve Literacy at MTs N 6 Sleman

MTs N 6 Sleman has a strong background in efforts to improve literacy in the madrasah. With a high commitment, structured curriculum, good library, parental involvement, and diverse literacy activities, the madrasah aims to create literate and competitive students in meeting the challenges of the future. The uniqueness of MTs N 6 Sleman has intrigued researchers to study the comprehensive and structured efforts undertaken by the madrasah to instill a spirit for literacy growth in the madrasah community. This research will employ a qualitative descriptive research design. Descriptive research is conducted to depict the actual conditions of a variable that is not clearly understood, using collected data and making systematic and accurate analytical conclusions. The efforts made by MTs N 6 Sleman to enhance literacy go through three stages: (1) Familiarization stage through enjoyable reading activities in the madrasah, (2) Development stage of reading interest, and (3) Implementation stage of literacy-based learning.

Parental involvement affects parent-adolescents brain-to-brain synchrony when experiencing different emotions together: An EEG-based hyperscanning study

Parental involvement (PI) is a broad and multifaceted construct, which refers to the parental demonstration of interest in their child, caring, and warmth (Davis et al., 2021). Parental involvement affects parent-adolescent’s relationship and communication. However, there was little research to examine the underlying neural mechanism. The present study aimed to explore how parental involvement is associated with the brain-to-brain synchronous activation between parent-adolescent dyads when sharing emotional experience together by using the electroencephalograph (EEG) hyperscanning. EEG was recorded simultaneously in a sample of 26 parent-adolescent dyads (Mparents’age=43.312, SD=5.468; Madolescents’ age=12.077, SD=1.412) when completing the picture processing task. Phase locking values (PLVs) in beta band and gamma band were used to compare the differences in the parent-adolescent dyads’ induced brain-to-brain synchrony between the high parental involvement group (HPI) and the low parental involvement group (LPI). Results showed that greater beta brain-to-brain synchrony was observed in the HPIs than in the LPIs when experiencing positive emotions together in the central region. However, there was no significant difference between the HPIs and the LPIs in the negative and neutral condition. Moreover, greater gamma brain-to-brain synchrony was observed when viewing negative emotional stimuli together than viewing positive emotional stimuli together in the LPIs in the central region. However, there was no significant difference between different emotional conditions in the HPIs. Findings of the present study provide neuroscientific evidence that parental involvement may strengthen parent-adolescent’s emotional interaction and communication.

Supportive or overpowering?

This article explores high parental involvement in students’ lives during and after higher education. While many higher education students lack parental support, from advice to resources, there are also experiences on the other side of the spectrum. Students and graduates may feel fated to certain trajectories whether through parental authoritarianism or more subtle compliance and inter-generational reciprocity. This article draws from 18 months of ethnographic research with 30 students and graduates from a high-profile university in New York City. The methodological focus entailed repeat interviews with individuals, talking about their lives, aspirations, studies, and their relationships with people and places. The article discusses intra-familial negotiation over subject and career choices and by association, over agency and the future of young adults. Cultural, classed, and psychological interpretations all indicate the uncertain boundaries between human beings as young people contest and absorb the influence of their parents.

The importance of parents for key outcomes among socio-economically disadvantaged students: Parents’ role in emergency remote education

Parents play an important role in shaping behavioral and motivational outcomes in their child’s education, presumably even more so during the COVID-19 pandemic, where concomitant school closures forced students worldwide to learn remotely at home, affecting socio-economically disadvantaged students most negatively. However, it remains unclear how different parent-focused family process variables (demanding-structuring and responsive-motivational parental involvement, responsibility for learning) and structure variables (socio-economic status, immigrant background) relate to important learning-related student outcomes, namely extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and actual participation in learning activities, during emergency remote education. Using questionnaire data from N = 117 German secondary school students (Mage = 15.14, SD = 0.93; 49.6% female) with a low average socio-economic status, structural equation models revealed associations between higher parental involvement and responsibility and higher motivational and behavioral student outcomes. Furthermore, immigrant background related negatively to some parent process variables, and indirectly negatively to extrinsic motivation. These results highlight parents’ role in learning, particularly during emergency remote education.

The Role of Parental Pressure and Warmth in the Relationship Between Parental Involvement, Parental Expectations, and Child Academic Success

The purpose of this study was to investigate both parent and child perceptions of parental involvement, parental expectations, parental pressure, and parental warmth, and the relationship of these variables with GPA. It was hypothesized that each of the independent variables would be positively correlated with GPA, excluding parental pressure, which would be negatively correlated with GPA. It was also hypothesized that the combination of high parental expectations and low parental involvement would have a positive relationship with parental pressure and a negative relationship with parental warmth. Parents (n = 158) of children in 6th–8th grade and 70 6th–8th grade children completed an online survey measuring these factors. Results from the parent survey demonstrated a positive correlation between parental expectations and child GPA (p = .047). Results from the child survey showed a negative correlation between parental pressure and GPA (p = .003), and that parental involvement can predict scores for the child’s sense of parental warmth. These findings provide a better understanding of various factors related to academic success, and they can lead to effective interventions for both parents and the educational system to increase academic achievement in youth.

Modular CBT for Childhood Anxiety Disorders: Evaluating Clinical Outcomes and its Predictors.

This study examined clinical outcomes of a modular individual CBT for children with anxiety disorders (AD), and predictors of outcomes, in usual clinical practice. Participants were 106 children with ADs (7-17years), and parents. Assessments were pre-, mid-, post-test, and 10weeks after CBT (follow-up). Predictors (measured pre-treatment) were child characteristics (gender, age, type of AD, comorbid disorders), fathers' and mothers' anxious/depressive symptoms, and parental involvement (based on parents' presence during treatment sessions and the use of a parent module in treatment). At follow-up, 59% (intent-to-treat analyses) to 70% (completer analysis) of the children were free from their primary anxiety disorder. A significant decrease in anxiety symptoms was found. Higher parental involvement was related to lower child anxiety at follow-up, but only for children with comorbid disorders. Findings suggest that it is beneficial to treat anxiety with modular CBT. Future steps involve comparisons of modularized CBT with control conditions.

Different families, diverse strengths: Long-term implications of early childhood family processes on adolescent positive functioning.

With studies primarily focusing on family risk factors on adolescent maladjustment, less is known about positive family processes that facilitate adolescent positive development. This study aimed to identify different configurations of parental involvement and interparental affection during early childhood from a person-centered approach and examine their long-term implications on adolescent positive functioning at age 15. In a sample of 495 2-parent families (53.3% boys; mothers: 42.0% White, 24.7% Black, 27.4% Hispanic, 5.9% other; family income: Median = $42,500), both parents reported interparental affection and their involvement with the child at the child's age 1 and 5, respectively. Adolescents reported their engagement, perseverance, optimism, connectedness, and happiness at age 15. Six profiles of early family processes were identified via the latent profile analysis, including Child-Centered (13.3%; average to high parental involvement and low interparental affection), Distressed Mother (14.5%; low mother involvement and mothers perceiving less affection from fathers), Collaborative (9.9%; relatively more mother involvement with the child and relatively more fathers' affection toward mothers), Cohesive (36.0%; high parental involvement and high interparental affection), Couple-Centered (19.6%; low parental involvement and high interparental affection), and Disengaged (6.7%; low parental involvement and low interparental affection) families. At age 15 (after controlling for family demographics), adolescents in Child-Centered families reported more engagement, adolescents in Cohesive families reported more happiness, adolescents in Cohesive and Collaborative families reported more perseverance and connectedness, and adolescents in Disengaged families reported the lowest optimism. Results highlight that different family configurations during early childhood have differentiated implications on adolescent positive functioning. Latent profiles of the feeding practices of caregivers of rural children with overweight and obesity and associations with child eating behaviors

Previous research has shown that food parenting practices, which vary within the context of sociocultural factors, are associated with child weight, eating behaviors, and body dissatisfaction. While parents typically engage in multiple food parenting practices, few studies have examined what subgroups or combinations of food parenting practices are associated with child health outcomes and sociocultural factors. The current study examined profiles of food parenting practices among school-age children with overweight/obesity (OW/OB) from rural communities and examined how they may be associated with sociocultural factors, child-eating habits, and health outcomes. The study included 270 children with OW/OB aged 8–12 (Mage = 10.36 years) and their caregivers. Caregivers completed a measure assessing perceptions of their feeding practices and sociocultural questionnaires. Children completed measures assessing disordered eating habits, weight control behaviors, and body dissatisfaction. Weight status was measured for caregivers and children with height and weight measurements. Latent variable mixture modeling (LVMM) was conducted. Three profiles emerged: (a) Lower Parental Involvement, (b) Higher Parental Involvement, and (c) Mixed Parental Involvement. Lower family income and non-White child race were related to membership in the “Higher Parental Involvement” profile. After controlling for income and child race, children in the “Mixed Parental Involvement” profile reported significantly higher body dissatisfaction than children in the “Lower Parental Involvement” profile. There are subgroups of caregivers of rural children with OW/OB that demonstrate various patterns of parent feeding practices, and these subgroups differ by income, race, and child body dissatisfaction. Future research should consider how caregiver-specific feeding practices may impact child eating behaviors and their body image development, as well as the impact cultural factors may have on parent feeding practices.

Multiple Facets of Parental Involvement and the Homework Performance of Primary Level Students

This study examined the influence of multiple facets of parental involvement on the homework performance of primary school students. The research was quantitative in nature. We used survey method to investigate the influence of different facets of parental involvement on the homework performance of their children with the help of self-constructed questionnaire. We collected data from primary level students (n= 120) and their teachers (n=20) from 10 primary school. Self-constructed Parental Involvement Questionnaire (PIQ, 17 items) was used to collect data from students and Homework Performance Questionnaire (HPQ, items 13) was used to collect data from teachers. Parental involvement was determined with respect to three facets i.e., 1) administrative, 2) emotional and 3) cognitive. Inferential statistics were applied to analyze data. Independent sample t-test was conducted to assess the high and low parental involvement on the homework performance of students which was found significant (p &lt;.05) for the administrative involvement (p=.049) and cognitive involvement (p=.005). The findings indicate the role of parents intellectual and organizational input on the homework performance of their children at primary level.

The Effectiveness of Children YouTube Songs and Flashcard Games to Teach Vocabulary to Kindergarten Pupils

Teaching English to young learners has attracted many people in the last decades worldwide, so that English has been increasingly practised at the kindergarten levels. The role of parents is very crucial in the early stage of a child. This research shows the effective interaction between kindergarten children’s YouTube songs, flashcard games, and parental involvement in vocabulary learning at Kindergarten Karangturi with online teaching. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a 2x2 factorial design that focuses on two or more independent variables or factors on at least one dependent variable. This study employed two independent variables: teaching with YouTube songs and flashcard games based on the design. This study reveals that there was no significant interaction between two teaching media in teaching vocabulary and parent’s involvement. Using YouTube songs and flashcard games as the vocabulary teaching media to pupils with high parent involvement was effective. However, it also reveals that using youtube songs and flashcard games was ineffective as the vocabulary teaching media to pupils with low parent involvement. This study shows no significant difference in teaching vocabulary with YouTube songs compared with flashcard games to Karangturi Kindergarten pupils. Further research was expected to continue this study by finding another method to teach young learners English to enhance their language mastery.

Ownership Versus Partnership Parenting: Parenting Styles Within the Homeschooling Movement

Scholars of the family agree on four main parenting styles, varying along two axes: responsiveness and control. Parental involvement and child autonomy fall under the control axis and are assumed to have an inverse relationship; where parental involvement is high, child autonomy is assumed to be low, and vice versa. Drawing on 22 in-depth interviews and participant observation at five homeschooling conferences, we examine the dominant parenting philosophies and practices of conservative Christian homeschoolers (which we call “ownership parenting”) and secular unschoolers (which we call “partnership parenting”). We demonstrate that the inverse relationship between parental involvement and child autonomy is not present in partnership parenting, which is marked by both high parental involvement and high child autonomy. Unschooling thus represents an empirical case against the theoretical conflation of parental involvement and child autonomy; a new expanded typology is thus posited that divides the control axis into two distinct axes.

The association of parental involvement with adolescents\u2019 well-being in Oman: evidence from the 2015 Global School Health Survey

BackgroundThe parent-adolescent relationship plays a key role in adolescent development, including behaviour, physical health, and mental health outcomes. Studies on the parental factors that contribute to an adolescent’s dietary habits, exercise, mental health, physical harm and substance use are limited in the Middle East and North Africa region, with none in Oman. This study aims to investigate the association between parental involvement and adolescent well-being in Oman.MethodsCross-sectional data from the 2015 Global School Health Survey for Oman was analysed. The dataset consisted of 3468 adolescents. Adolescents reported on their parental involvement (checking to see if they did their homework, understanding their problems, knowing what they are doing in their free time and not going through their things without permission). Parental involvement was scored on a 20-point scale. Associations with the following dependent variables: nutrition, exercise, hygiene, physical harm, bullying, substance use, tobacco use and mental health well-being were done using Spearman’s correlations, linear and logistic regressions.ResultsThe surveyed population was 48% male, 65% aged 15 to 17 years old and 5% reported that they “most of the time or always” went hungry. Parental involvement was positively correlated with each of the dependent variables. Adolescents with higher parental involvement had significantly higher odds of good nutrition (1.391), hygiene (1.823) and exercise (1.531) and lower odds of physical harm (0.648), being bullied (0.628), poor mental health (0.415), tobacco use (0.496) and substance use (0.229).ConclusionsParental involvement plays a positive role in all aspects of adolescents’ well-being in Oman. Awareness campaigns and interventions aimed to help improve the well-being of adolescents should incorporate such positive role in their designs.

A Cross-Sectional Study on the Effect of Adverse Childhood Events and Perception Toward Parents on Emotional Intelligence.

Objective: Emotional intelligence describes how well an individual understands and manages his or her emotions. Parenting styles and early life events have an important bearing on emotional intelligence. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of adverse childhood events and perception toward parents on the various domains of emotional intelligence among medical interns.Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted among medical interns in an eastern Indian teaching hospital from August 2020 to September 2020. Emotional intelligence was assessed using the Quick Emotional Intelligence Self-Assessment in terms of emotional awareness, emotional management, social emotional management, and relationship management. Adverse childhood experiences were assessed using the Adverse Childhood Experiences Questionnaire. Perception toward parents for all participants was assessed using the Perceptions of Parents Scale, which measured their mother's involvement, autonomy and support, and warmth and their father's involvement, autonomy and support, and warmth.Results: Of the 84 participants, 66.66% (n = 56) reported at least 1 adverse childhood experience. There was a significant negative correlation of adverse childhood experiences with emotional management (r = -0.542, n = 84, P = .00) and relationship management (r = -0.219, n = 84, P = .45). Emotional management showed a positive correlation with mother's involvement (r = 0.269, P = .013), autonomy and support (r = 0.34, P = .02), and warmth (r = 0.264, P = .015) and father's involvement (r = 0.336, P = .002), autonomy and support (r = 0.334, P = .002), and warmth (r = 0.340, P = .002). Relationship management showed a positive correlation with mother's involvement (r = 0.302, P = .005), autonomy and support (r = 0.272, P = .012), and warmth (r = 0.272, P = .012). Social emotional management showed a positive correlation with father's involvement (r = 0.294, P = .007), autonomy and support (r = 0.297, P = .006), and warmth (r = 0.297, P = .01).Conclusion: Experiencing adverse childhood events lowers emotional intelligence. Higher parental involvement, warmth, and autonomy and support promote better social emotional awareness, as well as emotional and relationship management.
