Method of inclined hole axis adjustment based on geometric optimization and minimum zone theory

The machining accuracy of the axis position and spatial angle of the array microholes with high aspect ratio on the components of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry will directly affect the performance of the whole machine. A method of tilt hole axis adjustment is proposed in this paper. It utilizes geometric optimization and minimum zone theory to measure the position and spatial angle of the hole axis. This addresses the slight angle error that occurs after correcting the inclined hole axis using visual techniques. Based on the minimum zone criterion for the cylindricity error, the evaluation model is re-established through the inner and the outer loop and spatial projection, which includes roundness evaluation of the projection curve by an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and elliptic fitting by a geometric parameter method, so as to obtain the optimal solution of the axis vector and spatial angle. Experimental comparison with the theory above shows that the precision of the method proposed is better than that of the least squares method and the traditional PSO algorithm based on the minimum zone criterion. The research results indicate that the precision of the tilt angle is better than 0.03°, and simultaneously the rotation angle is better than 0.1° in the range of 1°. This experiment verifies the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method.

Analysis on the effects of global supply chain reconfiguration on China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry

PurposeThe challenges faced by China's high-end equipment manufacturing (HEEM) industry are becoming clearer in the process of global supply chain (GSC) reconfiguration. The purpose of this study is to investigate how China's HEEM industry has been affected by the GSC reconfiguration, as well as its short- and long-term strategies.Design/methodology/approachThe authors adopted a multi-method approach. Interviews were conducted in Phase 1, while a three-round Delphi survey was conducted in Phase 2 to reach consensus at the industry level.FindingsThe GSC reconfiguration affected China's HEEM supply chain (SC). Its direct effects include longer lead times, higher purchasing prices and inconsistent supply and inventory levels of key imported components and materials. Its indirect effects include inconsistent product quality and cash flows. In the short term, China's HEEM enterprises have sought to employ localized substitutes, while long-term strategies include continuous technological innovation, industry upgrades and developing SC resilience.Originality/valueThis study not only encourages Chinese HEEM enterprises to undertake a comprehensive examination of their respective industries but also provides practical insights for SC scholars, policymakers and international stakeholders interested in how China's HEEM industry adapts to the GSC reconfiguration and gains global market share.

Empirical insights into industrial policy's influence on phytoprotection innovation.

Intelligent Phytoprotection is an important direction for the modern development of plant protection related disciplines, and its essence is the innovative application of new generation information technology industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and digital industry related technologies in the traditional plant protection field. This article first identifies 224 International Patent Classification (IPC) Main groups in the field of intelligent phytoprotection technology based on the International Patent Classification System. And then combines with China's industrial policy practice, we explore the impact of industrial policy on the application number of invention patents in the field of intelligent phytoprotection technology using the Difference-in-difference (DID) method and the Synthetic DID method. The study results showed that the implementation of industrial policy can significantly promote the patent application activities in the intelligent phytoprotection treatment group, with an average increase of 517 invention patent applications compared to the control group that is not affected by the policy. The research conclusion of this article suggests that for countries and regions, industrial policies are an important tool for promoting the innovation and development of intelligent phytoprotection related technologies.

Enhancing Operating Efficiency in China’s High-End Equipment Manufacturing Industry: Insights from Listed Enterprises

The high-end equipment manufacturing industry is a strategic sector for China’s manufacturing transformation and upgrading. However, this industry is facing a series of challenges, such as insufficient innovation capabilities and poor business operations. This paper uses the super-efficiency SBM model to calculate the operating efficiency of listed companies in this industry from a micro perspective and conducts in-depth multi-angle analysis of their operating efficiency. Furthermore, Tobit regression is utilized to identify the factors that affect operating efficiency. The aim is to provide a pathway for companies in this industry to achieve efficiency maximization and sustainable development. The research shows that the average operating efficiency of high-end equipment manufacturing companies was around 0.7 from 2016 to 2021, and nearly 70% of companies were in a non-DEA efficient state. The operating efficiency of the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry is far higher than other industries, and the western region has great development potential. In addition to government subsidies, factors such as company age, equity concentration, regional GDP, and regional openness all have a positive impact on the operational efficiency of high-end equipment manufacturing companies. This paper combines the characteristics of the equipment manufacturing industry and analyzes their operating efficiency from multiple dimensions, providing decision support and pathways for the high-quality and efficient development of this industry.

Evaluation research on the independent controllability of high-end equipment manufacturing industry based on dual incentive control line: an empirical analysis from Jiangsu Province

PurposeIn order to analyze the level of independent controllability and its evolution of high-end equipment manufacturing industry from Jiangsu Province, this article introduces the dual-excitation control line method to construct a comprehensive evaluation model for independent controllability.Design/methodology/approachThrough the collection of information of high-end equipment manufacturing industry's independent and controllable capabilities on different indicators, the three aspects of advancement, autonomy and controllability, an empirical evaluation of 10 enterprises in the high-end equipment cluster in Jiangsu Province was conducted in terms of advancement, autonomy and controllability.FindingsIt effectively reveals the area and evolution characteristics of the “reward” and “punishment” of different indicators of each representative enterprise and reflects the development status and different characteristics of each representative enterprise on the three indicators. The research results provide decision-making guidance for enterprises in the management and control of advanced manufacturing systems with independent and controllable capabilities.Originality/valueExisting research focuses on the evaluation of enterprises' independent controllability only on a single angle or index. This paper maps the dynamic evaluation problem of multiple time-point data to the evaluation problem of single time-point multi-index data and investigates the fluctuation of the performance of the same enterprise under different indexes, so as to comprehensively evaluate the independent controllable level of high-end equipment manufacturing industry and analyze the reasons. Further, this paper first establishes an evaluation index system of independent controllable level of high-end equipment manufacturing industry and quantitatively measures the advanced, independent, controllable and other aspects of typical enterprises in this industry by constructing a double incentive control line evaluation model.

Effect of double laser beam surface treatment on the surface morphological characteristics of Ti6Al4V at different heat source incidence angles

With the development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, the requirements for the surface performance of critical components are likewise increasing. To control the heat and mass transfer in the laser surface treatment process more efficiently and flexibly, the multiangle double laser surface treatment technology shows unique advantages. This study is focused on the experimental study of the laser surface treatment process for Ti6Al4V material. By changing the laser power and the incidence angle of the laser beam, the effects of single-laser beam surface treatment (SLST) and dual-laser beam surface treatment (DLST) on the surface morphology of the alloy were studied. The effects of laser treatment on the surface morphology, element distribution, roughness, surface chemical state, and surface structure of the alloy were emphatically analyzed. The mechanism of SLST and DLST at different incident angles of heat source and the effect of DLST on the formation of an oxide layer on the surface of the alloy were compared and analyzed. The results show that when the average power of the high-power nanosecond pulse width laser in DLST is 100 W and the incident angle is 135°, the surface oxygen content reaches the lowest, as low as 8.31%. The secondary effect of the laser makes the alloy surface remelt again, and then the best roughness after laser processing is obtained, with a roughness value of 2.801 μm. Finally, we obtain the optimal process for laser surface treatment and conclude that DLST can significantly optimize the surface state after a high-energy laser beam action.

Research on Innovative Training Mode of High-Skilled Talents in Equipment Manufacturing Industry Based on School-Enterprise Cooperation

School-enterprise cooperation is not only one of the prominent features of modern vocational education, but also helps to strengthen the cooperation between vocational colleges and enterprises, and the combination of teaching and production. It is an important way to realize the development of modern vocational education and build a high-skilled personnel training system. From the perspective of the significance of school-enterprise cooperation in the process of cultivating high-skilled talents, the key factors of the cultivation system of high-skilled talents based on school-enterprise cooperation, the mechanism of "government leadership, industry guidance, and enterprise participation" should be played to promote the deep integration of vocational education with industrial and regional economic development, improve the quality of the cultivation of skilled talents in high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and improve the innovation of the cultivation mode of high-end equipment talents.

Impact of government subsidy on diagnostic tests decisions of core products in high-end equipment manufacturing

In the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, diagnostic test is a common procedure for core products. The core component supplier could obtain the true quality of its products by implementing diagnostic test during the R&D (research and development) process and adjusting the efforts to achieve better quality. However, diagnostic test is not well implemented due to its high cost. As China’s favorable policies increase in relevant regard, government subsidy becomes an emerging incentive for core product manufacturing. The core product supplier who receive financial incentives usually contributes extra effort to achieve better quality. However, the extra effort comes with a corresponding cost. In addition to this, the supplier has received government subsidy to fund the implementation of diagnostic test. In turn, conducting diagnostic test can provide a safety plug as to whether the supplier should receive government subsidy. To investigate this interaction between the government subsidy adoption decision and the diagnostic test decision, we use game theory to model a supply chain composed of an upstream supplier and a downstream manufacturer, where the supplier is delegated by the manufacturer to research and development a batch of core products and to maintain them during the warranty period. Our research shows that even though government subsidies can provide the supplier with direct financial support, it may still not be adopted. In essence, government subsidy has a bright side and a downside effect on supplier, wherein the former side is the direct financial support and the downside is the extra effort cost. The supplier does not always accept government subsidy because the bright side not always sufficient to cover the downside. Specifically, when diagnostic test is costly or with high-quality products, the supplier will accept subsidy but not perform diagnostic tests regardless of government subsidy. Counterintuitively, if consumer preferences for the product are high, the supplier will choose not to accept government subsidy but to perform diagnostic test. This research contributes to providing some theoretical insights for managers in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.

Artificial Intelligence, Technological Innovation and the Upgrading of China’s Equipment Manufacturing Industry

This article identifies and screens out companies applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) through Enterprise Search, and measures the level of AI empowerment in the industry in terms of the number of companies applying AI as a proportion of the number of companies in the industry as a whole, and based on the panel data of China’s equipment manufacturing industry from 2001-2017, we empirically test the impact effect and mechanism of action of AI empowerment on the upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry. The research results show that: AI empowerment has a significant positive impact on the upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry, but there is industry heterogeneity, and AI empowerment has a greater positive impact effect on the upgrading of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry. Technological innovation plays a mediating role in the process of AI empowerment for the upgrading of equipment manufacturing.

Empirical Decomposition and Forecast of Carbon Neutrality for High-End Equipment Manufacturing Industries

The Chinese government focuses on the high-end equipment manufacturing industry to achieve a target of carbon neutrality. This study takes China’s Bohai Rim as a case study. First, the Tapio decoupling model was used to analyze the carbon emission status of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry in the Bohai Rim. Second, LMDI was used to determine the main factors of carbon emission. Similarly, the Monte Carlo simulation predicted the time of carbon neutrality. The results found that the relationship between carbon emission and the development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry is that of strong decoupling, but there is still a risk of “recoupling.” The scale effect is the primary driving force for carbon emission reduction in the equipment manufacturing industry, followed by a structural effect and a carbon emission intensity effect. In the baseline scenario, low-carbon scenario, and technological breakthrough scenario, carbon neutrality will be achieved before 2060. The results of the study suggest that China should improve energy utilization efficiency and encourage green innovation.

Strategic emerging industry layout based on analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation: A case study of Sichuan province.

In the 12th Five-Year Plan period, Sichuan province has selected strategic emerging industries such as new-generation information technology, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biology, energy conservation and environmental protection. However, its strategic emerging industries are still in the stage of cultivation and development, and there are some problems such as low industrial agglomeration and obvious industrial restructuring. In essence, this is because the focus of the development of strategic emerging industries is not clear enough, and the location advantages are not fully utilized to select the most suitable strategic emerging industries for the development of the region. This paper constructs a regional strategic emerging industries selection decision model, applies ARCGIS to study the spatial distribution of strategic emerging industries in Sichuan province, and uses fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method (FCEM) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to solve the priority of developing strategic emerging industries. Conclusions: Firstly, Sichuan province should give priority to the development of new generation information technology industry and new energy vehicle industry, then high-end equipment manufacturing industry, energy-saving and environmental protection industry and new energy industry, and finally biological industry and new material industry. The larger the coefficient of influence is, the higher the comprehensive score is, while the larger the coefficient of sensitivity is, the lower the comprehensive score is. Secondly, the number of enterprises in the new-generation information technology industry and the new energy vehicle industry is still not dominant in Sichuan province. Finally, the study found that the current development of strategic emerging industries in Sichuan province is extremely unbalanced in various regions, and the phenomenon of competition and reconstruction is obvious.

Prediction Algorithm of Collaborative Innovation Capability of High-End Equipment Manufacturing Enterprises Based on Random Forest

This paper studies the competitiveness of listed companies in high-end equipment manufacturing industry by using random forest. Random forest is a supervised machine learning algorithm that is actually based on the regression and classification. It takes some important decisions that are always based upon the set of samples. It counts majority for the classification purposes while it takes an average for the regression. For empirical analysis, 88 listed companies are selected. It is found that there are great differences in comprehensive competitiveness among industries. Enterprise scale accounts for a high proportion in the comprehensive competitiveness, and its score often affects the comprehensive strength; and the gap between companies in the same industry is also obvious. The empirical evaluation results of this paper provide three enlightenments for enterprises to improve their comprehensive competitiveness, such as seizing the strategic opportunity to expand the market, expand the scale of enterprises, improve asset management, and narrow the industry gap.

Grey relation analysis of 4S service pilot in high-end equipment manufacturing industry

Servitization has a significant impact on the upgrading and reform of the equipment manufacturing industry. From the perspective of application of high-end servitization theory in business practice of equipment manufacturing industry, based on the review of relevant literature, this paper analyzes the concept of integration delay strategy mechanism of cooperative production between enterprises and customers, and thus constructs the theoretical model framework of 4S service pilot high-end equipment manufacturing product-customer interaction experience. With the Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry as a case for quantitative analysis, the feasibility of using delay strategy in the 4S service pilot program is demonstrated, and the three-stage development plan of Liaoning 4S service pilot is outlined. The results show that: At present, in the trend of servitization of China’s equipment manufacturing enterprises, 4S service pilot high-end manufacturing product model enables equipment manufacturing enterprises to delay production time and produce according to customer orders, improve service efficiency and optimize resource allocation, and help enterprises to obtain new exclusive competitive advantages.

Innovation Strategy of 3D Printing in Industrial Design Based on Vision Sensor

3D printing is becoming increasingly integrated across all disciplines affecting traditional manufacturing. Traditional subtractive and isomaterial processing techniques make it difficult to process and manufacture complex structures such as spatial surfaces and complex cavities. Traditional processing and manufacturing processes are complex. Cumbersome clamps are also a drawback of traditional machining. Compared to traditional processing and manufacturing, 3D printing has significant advantages in manufacturing processes and manufacturing complex structures. Based on this, this paper studies the application of visual sensor 3D printing technology in industrial design and further studies the innovative free design methods under the implementation of 3D printing to provide a design basis for solving industrial product processing troubles and complex structures. This paper first provides a theoretical analysis of the combination of 3D printing of vision sensors and innovative design of industrial products. Next, take two classic industrial parts, a mechanical hydraulic valve block, and a crankshaft, as an example, and adopt an innovative and free design method to get an optimized pipeline of hydraulic valve blocks. The crankshaft molding structure integrated with the structure of the lightweight block demonstrates the superiority of 3D printing technology over the innovative design and manufacture of industrial products. Experiments have proved that the molding direction 1 consumes the least time and consumables (5 h 3 min, 24.44 m), but the inner channel is a blind hole, and it is difficult to remove the support after processing. The molding direction 2 consumes a little more consumable but not too much, but the channel supports are all easy to remove, and molding direction 3 has no advantage in all aspects. Research on industrial design innovation strategy of vision sensor 3D printing technology not only leads to the realization of vision sensor 3D printing technology and its equipment. It also provides a specific reference for the green and intelligent development of the future high-end equipment manufacturing industry.

Government intervention and firm innovation outputs: a heterogeneity of corporate governance of Chinese listed firms

ABSTRACT Using twelve years data (2008–2019) of listed firms in high-end equipment manufacturing industry (HEMI), this study evaluates the impact of China’s high-and new-technology enterprise (HNTE) programme on firm innovation. It finds that HNTE certification boosts the number and growth rate of firms’ innovation outputs, and such effect is affected by corporate governance environment. Our findings reveal the effectiveness of government intervention in innovation under diverse corporate internal governance conditions.

Innovation Model of China's High-End Equipment Industry: Do Social Capital and Dynamic Capabilities Matter for the COVID-19 Crisis?

This paper explores the different model combinations of enterprise innovation in China based on the roles of social capital and dynamic capabilities. We implement Qualitative Comparative Analysis to understand the non-linear asymmetric relationships better. We use the data of 44 Listed Companies in China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry and find that three innovation models (the market-oriented independent innovation, government-supported technological innovation and industry-supported learning innovation models) are valid. Social capital, dynamic capabilities, and intra-industry networks are the main determinants of these innovation models. We also discuss the implications of these innovation dynamics on Chinese enterprises as a way to sustain the economy's high-quality development, including during the era of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Research on Information Platform of Plate Cutting and Groove Workshop

With the state’s policy support and encouragement for the transformation and upgrading of high-end equipment manufacturing industry, as well as the maturity of technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, intelligent production is gradually developing towards systematization and platform. At present, none of the large-scale plate blanking workshops have realized digital production. The blanking workshop is the source of manufacturing production, and the digitalization of the blanking workshop is very important for the production management of enterprises. The digital transformation of blanking workshop is gradually extended to other workshops, which greatly improves the intelligent level of manufacturing industry. This paper briefly describes the method of realizing the digitization and informatization of the blanking workshop, and further improves the intelligent degree of production through the construction of the workshop informatization platform, so as to improve the work efficiency of the workshop.

Research on Sustainable Development Performance Evaluation of China’s High End Equipment Manufacturing Enterprises

Based on the data of Listed Companies in China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry in 2018, this paper uses robust sparse principal component analysis (ROSPCA) method to evaluate the sustainable development performance of enterprises comprehensively. The empirical results show that in the performance evaluation of sustainable development, environmental performance is the most important, followed by business ethics performance, governance performance is the third, the fourth is social performance, and economic performance is the last. According to the conclusion of the empirical study, the paper puts forward some countermeasures, such as strengthening the environmental information disclosure, paying attention to the construction of business ethics corporate culture, improving the diligent governance effect of the board of directors, striving to practice public welfare and bear social responsibility, actively exploring the market and improving the profitability.

Research on the measurement of an independent and controllable high-end equipment manufacturing industry

Against the present background of trade protectionism and anti-globalization, an independent and controllable high-end equipment manufacturing industry has become the focus of attention from all walks of life. Based on industrial safety and some related theories, this paper analyzes the connotation of an independent and controllable high-end equipment manufacturing industry, constructs a measurement index system of it with patent information, and designs a solution by a combination of “Entropy Method + TOPSIS”. At the end of the paper, by using the relevant data of global patent database, the offshore equipment manufacturing industry is taken as an example to measure its ability of independence and controllability. The results show that the measurement index data is consistent with the development status of China's offshore equipment manufacturing industry, which verifies the effectiveness of the index system and measurement method.

Research on the technical principle and typical applications of laser shock processing

Laser shock processing (LSP) is a novel surface hardening technology, utilizing the stress effect generated by laser-induced plasma shock waves, with the characteristics of better hardening effects, higher processing precision and strong controllability. Nowadays, LSP is widely applied in many fields such as the high-end equipment manufacturing industry. In order to further understand the LSP technology. In this work, the technical principle of LSP is reviewed through basic principle of LSP, enhanced mechanical properties, micro-structure evolution and simple process mechanism. In addition, some typical applications of LSP are introduced briefly from the aspect of aerospace industry, nuclear power industry, biomedical and material forming. This work will provide a theoretical guidance for researchers to further explore the mechanism of LSP and promote to the development of LSP.
