This study attempted to figure out the formative features of cyborg hairstyles in the films in a post-humanism era, which have emerged with technological development in the 21st century. In terms of research methods, a literature study and an empirical study on post-humanistic SF films were performed. The results found the followings: First, hybridity which represents an entity combined with heterogeneous things is an attempt to escape from the dichotomous boundary. In terms of hybrid hairstyles, long and neutral hairstyles harmonized with natural and strong curls having different images were found. Second, in terms of ambiguity in which the behavior of machine and organic matter is viewed under the same principle, conventional borders were expressed with unclear hairstyles. Even though linear materials were used, hairstyles were completed in a curved form. With volume and wave formation, soft and heavy images were expressed through convergence. Third, in aggressiveness, it is deemed that human might evolve into post-human at a rapid pace. Aggressive hairstyles revealed rapid contrast (linear shape VS curved curl; short style VS long style). Fourth, future orientation suggests a vision which cannot be imagined by post-human future. Future-oriented hairstyles showed a neat and tidy outline in a linear and plane form. Furthermore, simple and modern images were created with modern and minimum decorations.
