On Digital Transformation Experience of the Order Fulfillment Process

The paper examines the process of order execution being won on a tender platform. Due to the short order fulfillment deadline, the work starts not at the moment of contract signing, but at the moment of winning the tender. This leads to additional risks of non-fulfillment of the order and the emergence of unfinished production. In the conditions of stock exchange prices in commodity markets, the process of the production cost determination becomes a more complex task, requiring daily cost reevaluation with the integration of heterogeneous information systems. Therefore, a transition from automation to digital transformation is required. The literature review on the issue of manufacturing enterprise digital transformation has been completed at work. The differences between the definitions of digitalization, automation and digital transformation are described. The most promising technologies for digital transformation are outlined. Based on the reviewed literature, the main problems of digital transformation, including managerial issues highlighted by the authors as the most important, are identified. The operations of several enterprises within one information space are described, indicating the information systems used. The process of creating an order on a tender platform for the examined manufacturing enterprise is detailed, as well as a detailed description of order creation. The issue of production cost determination in the conditions of order execution start prior to contract signing is discussed. The pressing issue of digital development of an industrial enterprise due to the transition to new information systems is presented. The problems of using current information systems in production are described. The market analysis of modern Russian, foreign, and open-source systems with a description of the issues of their application is provided. A method for unfinished product automation in a new order is proposed.

A cloud-based deep learning model in heterogeneous data integration system for lung cancer detection in medical industry 4.0

Currently, lung cancer has become one of the most common and deadliest types of cancer. Due to its severity, many countries are now encouraging their at-risk citizens to test and treat lung cancer early. Lung cancer has been worse for poor regions or countries, whose citizens are more susceptible to lung cancer, as the local medical resources and healthcare provider level are inadequate. In recent years, this situation can be significantly improved by leveraging the existing datasets about lung cancer in developed countries. However, due to the poor synchronization of data collection methods, the collected data is heterogeneous, and can't be readily used. Artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, and the internet of things accelerate the 4th revolution in the medical industry, and we called it medical industry 4.0. In the medical industry 4.0, lung cancer can be early detected by using a very intelligent approach. In this paper, using AI and cloud platform techniques in the medical industry 4.0, we propose an intelligent detection system including data integration, detection, historical cases comparison, similar cases inquiry, and retrieval for lung cancer. In this system, doctors can integrate the heterogeneous data at hand, and source a large amount of integrated data as a reference when treating the patient. A cloud-based deep learning model is integrated into this system, and then a content-based image retrieval system for similarity comparison is used. Finally, some public datasets are used to train and test this system, and results prove its performance is better than that of some baseline approaches. Then the similar case finding is evaluated with cosine similarity and all similarities reach over 0.93. The heterogeneous data integration system creates a good effect in helping doctors and patients access better diagnosis and treatment for lung cancer.

MODEL OF SEMANTIC INTEGRATION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS PROPERTIES IN RELAY DATABASE REENGINEERING PROBLEMS

The subject of research is methods of semantic integration of subject areas of heterogeneous information systems and distributed databases. This class of systems are created on the basis of database technologies, are widespread and used in all areas of economic activity. Such systems are characterized by high complexity of design, maintenance and modification. The purpose of the research is the development of a subject area model based on the semantic properties and relationships of data elements; development of effective technology of integration of information resources of heterogeneous computer systems on the basis of technology of management of database systems; research and formalization of classes of inhomogeneity of data structures aimed at solving the problem of determining the types of information objects. Development of tools for the design and maintenance of application problems for the integration of heterogeneous information systems and distributed databases. Results: the analysis of existing methods and models of integration of subject areas on the basis of semantic properties and connections of data elements is carried out; developed an effective mathematical model, technology and algorithm for semantic integration of information resources of heterogeneous computer systems for relational databases; investigated and formalized classes of inhomogeneity of data structures aimed at solving the problem of determining the types of information objects; the model is developed and means of the logical description of properties of information objects for definition of border of the considered subject area are investigated. Conclusion: the article considers a formalized infographic model of the subject area, which focuses on the semantic relationships between information objects of databases. An axiomatic approach to the description of the subject area is formulated, which allows to consider the problem of modeling the relations of the elements of the subject area in the form of a set of rules that determine the existence of data elements. On the basis of the analysis of structures and models of databases of information systems the general approach to construction of the universal technology focused on the decision of problems of management of heterogeneous information resources of computer systems is defined.

Design of Heterogeneous Data Integration and Sharing System for Coastal International Trade

In order to develop the international trade business better, the scientific formulation and timely adjustment of trade policy need to be carried out. Policy making and adjustment need to be based on the integration and sharing of massive data. In order to solve the problem that the performance of traditional heterogeneous data integration and sharing system is insufficient, a coastal international trade heterogeneous data integration and sharing system based on middleware and XML is designed. This system introduces the key technologies of system design, which are middleware and XML. Then a four-tier architecture based on middleware and XML is designed, and then the heterogeneous data integration module is analyzed, including mediator, wrapper and Web Services management. Finally, the system is implemented and tested. The results show that the system is superior to three traditional heterogeneous data integration and sharing systems in four aspects: query speed, accuracy, integration and whether it supports data structure, which proves that the performance of the system is stronger.

Models and methods of information management support in case of finance planning

Subject of Research. This study focuses on enterprise management optimization and development of integrated management information system supporting distributed decision-making processes. The paper describes local automation problems and heterogeneous information system integration for planning and forecasting support. Method. We propose an original enterprise document flow model with the use of temporal stochastic modeling methods. The paper considers the ontology-based model of heterogeneous information system integration. This study proposes ontology concept classification and methods for concept mapping and information objects integration. Main Results.A mathematical model of finance planning is developed based on the proposed models and methods. This model considers stochastic factors and enables funds to be reserved for future expenses. Proposed methods were applied in Finance Planning information system at ITMO University in 2016-2017. The system contains data coming from several information subsystems: Accounting, Salary and Scholarship, Logistics, Contract management. It provides users with expense forecast for 2-3 months that is about 20 % of the annual budget. The software was developed using Oracle DBMS technologies and PL/SQL language within the framework of the Management Information System at ITMO University. Practical Relevance. These approaches may be applied for integration of heterogeneous information systems and data sources at different areas. Proposed methods may be used not only in finance planning but are applicable also to other problems of management optimization with planning and forecasting support.

Semantic Mediation in MedPeer

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) infrastructure is an emerging paradigm that offers new opportunities for the development of large-scale distributed systems. This architecture combined with the new techniques introduced by semantic web as ontologies encouraged the emergence of new multi-source data integration possibilities for sharing information. A challenging problem in such systems is to find correspondences between concepts of their different ontologies. This is a necessary step before locating peers that are relevant with respect to a given query. In this paper, the authors propose a new ontology alignment method which deals with both linguistic and semantic characteristics of concepts and uses graph structure to explore multiple depth levels of neighborhood in calculation of semantic similarity which is the most important part of their global similarity measure. This function is implemented into their new P2P heterogeneous and distributed data integration system MedPeer.

A Method of Heterogeneous Data Integration Based on SOA

With the rapid development of information technology, the growth of heterogeneous Web data and the requirements of access to the Web of data also is growing. In view of this, a method of heterogeneous data integration based on SOA(Service-Oriented Architecture) is proposed. This method combines the technology of middleware and SOA design, using XML and Web services technologies, presents a framework of heterogeneous data integration based on SOA, and introduces the architecture of SOA data integration middleware. Experimental results show that this method reduces the coupling of heterogeneous data integration system effectively, and improves the scalability of the system.

Modern Manufacturing Enterprises Heterogeneous Data Integration System Based on Web Services

This webinar introduces an approach to data access across heterogeneous data sources and Web service integration based on XML and XQuery. The webinar covers: using XML to create logical views of a variety of physical data sources, aggregating XML documents with relational data, consuming Web services in XQuery, and exposing XQuery as data services while writing, testing and deploying real XML and XQuery-based solutions. SHRDIS: A Semantic-Based Heterogeneous Relational Data Integration System

Integrating and querying data from heterogeneous sources is a hot research topic in database research field. The emergence of the Semantic Web brings new paradigm shift of computing in data integration research where data is heterogeneous and distributed. To solve the problem this paper proposes a semantic-based approach. A Semantic-based Heterogeneous Relational Data Integration System, called SHRDIS, is presented. In this system, ontology is used as the mediated schema for the representation of the data source semantics. SPARQL queries over global schema are rewritten into local SQL queries that can be executed on heterogeneous relational databases. The architecture and implementation of SHRDIS is illustrated in detail. The experiment results show that the SHRDIS system has nice performance and scalability.

Data fusion

The development of the Internet in recent years has made it possible and useful to access many different information systems anywhere in the world to obtain information. While there is much research on the integration of heterogeneous information systems, most commercial systems stop short of the actual integration of available data. Data fusion is the process of fusing multiple records representing the same real-world object into a single, consistent, and clean representation. This article places data fusion into the greater context of data integration, precisely defines the goals of data fusion, namely, complete, concise, and consistent data, and highlights the challenges of data fusion, namely, uncertain and conflicting data values. We give an overview and classification of different ways of fusing data and present several techniques based on standard and advanced operators of the relational algebra and SQL. Finally, the article features a comprehensive survey of data integration systems from academia and industry, showing if and how data fusion is performed in each.

Implementing security in a distributed web-based EHCR

Purpose In many countries there are initiatives for building an integrated patient-centric electronic health record. There are also initiatives for transnational integrations. These growing demands for integration result from the fact that it can provide improving healthcare treatments and reducing the cost of healthcare services. While in European highly developed countries computerisation in healthcare sector began in the 1970s and reached a high level, some developing countries, and Serbia among them, have started computerisation recently. This is why MEDIS (MEDical Information System) is aimed at integration itself from the very beginning instead of integration of heterogeneous information systems on a middle layer or using HL7 protocol. Approach The implementation of a national healthcare information system requires using standards as integrated and widely accepted solutions. Therefore, we have started building MEDIS to meet the requirements of CEN ENV 13606 and CEN ENV 13729 standards. The prototype version has a distributed component-based architecture with modern security solutions applied. MEDIS has been implemented as a federated system where the central server hosts basic EHCR information about a patient, and clinical servers contain their own part of patients’ EHCR. Results At present, there is an initial version of prototype planned to be deployed at first in a small community. In particular, open source API for X.509 authentication and authorisation has been developed. Our project meets the requirements for education in health informatics, including appropriate knowledge and skills on EHCR. The points included in this article have been presented on several national conferences and widely discussed. Conclusion MEDIS has explored a federated, component-based EHCR architecture and related security aspects. In its initial version it shows acceptable performances and administrative simplicity. It emphasizes the importance of using standards in building EHCR in our country, in order to prepare it for future integrations.

Process based storing and reconstructing of XML form documents

Recent developments in business practices require companies to communicate frequently with each other. The use of eXtensible Markup Language (XML) documents is essential to ensure the integration of heterogeneous information systems. XML is widely used because of its platform-independence and the ability it offers to separate content from presentation. It is also used as a medium for form documents that are used over the flow of business processes. Recently most business processes have been managed by a software system, the Business Process Management (BPM) system. Change management of XML documents – recording and tracing the history of the documents – is important in e-business environments where multiple companies are involved. In this paper, we propose a new method of storing documents whereby changes are detected automatically and document versions are reconstructed upon user request. In addition, this method has allowed a model to recover documents even after a system error. A prototype system was implemented on top of a workflow system and an experiment was carried out to test the efficiency of our method. Our approach provides efficient storage and convenient management of documents.
