The principle cause of micro-organism contagion is virulence regulated by Quorum Sensing (QS) phenomenon. So the present study is aimed to discover the Anti-Quorum (AQ) sensing activity of 4 crude plant extracts and 3 pure phytochemicals. The AQ compound was found to be present in a few of the extracts which demonstrated inhibition against virulence pigment pyocyanin production in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MTCC 1688). Green Tea extract and Gallic Acid pure phytochemicals were found to be the potential compounds to give AQ activity with less effect on bacterial growth. As per the results attained by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS), it can be concluded that caffeine could have Anti-Quorum activity.
