ANALISIS PENGADAAN MAKANAN BERGIZI DALAM PENANGANAN STUNTING DI DESA SIMANAERE KECAMATAN GUNUNGSITOLI IDANOI

Stunting is a condition of growth failure in children (body and brain growth) due to malnutrition for a long time. So the child is shorter than normal children his age and has delays in thinking. There are still babies and toddlers in Simanere Village who experience quite high levels of stunting. The causes of stunting are due to the economic problems of families who are classified as underprivileged, the lack of provision of healthy food and the lack of implementation of healthy living by families. The Simanaere Village Government is making efforts to prevent stunting by providing nutritious food for babies and toddlers, but it is still not running optimally because the implementation does not run regularly and continuously every month. The aim of this research is to find out the extent of providing nutritious food in handling stunting in Simanaere Village. The method used is a qualitative approach. The research results show that the main problem occurs due to the budget disbursement process not running smoothly to finance the procurement of nutritious food, so the conclusion from this research is that there is a delay in the distribution of nutritious food for babies and toddlers in Simanere Village due to the budget disbursement process from the relevant agencies which takes months. . So it is recommended that Simanaere Village coordinate with the Gunungsitoli City Health Service and related agencies in providing nutritious food assistance for babies and toddlers.

Penerapan Teknik Relaksasi Nafas dalam Upaya Menurunkan Tekanan Darah pada Lansia Penderita Hipertensi di Desa Mipitan Kelurahan Mojosongo

Background : In old age, there is a decline in the body's immune function, including a decline in heart function, one of the diseases of which is hypertension. Hypertension is high blood pressure with systolic blood pressure results >140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg.. The prevalence of hypertension cases according to the Surakarta City Health Service showed an increase in the incidence of hypertension in 2023 reaching 67,355 cases. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used is deep breathing relaxation techniques. Objective: This study describes a comparison of blood pressure development before and after the application of deep breathing relaxation techniques. Method: This study used a case study of 2 respondents conducted on May 11-13, 2024 for 2 times in a row with a therapy duration of 10 minutes. Results: The application of Deep Breathing Relaxation Therapy to both respondents obtained comparative results of development before and after therapy in Mrs. S systolic 24 MmHg and diastolic 17 MmHg while Mrs. T showed a decrease with systolic 25 MmHg and diastolic 13 MmHg. Conclusion: The results of the study can be concluded that there is an effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques on reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure in both respondents.

How ‘Ethical Leadership and Work Climate’ Drive Job Satisfaction: Insights from Banjarmasin’s Health Department

This research aims to analyze the influence of ethical leadership (X1) and ethical work climate (X2) on job satisfaction (Y) in employees of the Banjarmasin City Health Service, South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This quantitative research used a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach using SmartPLS. The population in this study was all employees of the Banjarmasin City Health Service, totaling 92 people. The total sampling technique of non-probability sampling was used. Findings showed that ethical leadership positively affects job satisfaction among Banjarmasin City Health Service employees. Furthermore, it showed that ethical work climate positively affects job satisfaction among Banjarmasin City Health Service employees.

Overview of the Medical Waste Management System by Health Human Resources (SDK) at the Putri Ayu Public Health Center, Jambi City in 2024

According to the Jambi City Health Service Profile in 2021-2022, Putri Ayu Health Center is one of the inpatient health centers in Jambi City which is also acontributes the largest amount of medical waste with the amount of waste is 615 kg out of a total of 7804.1 kg of medical waste from health centers in Jambi City, so it has the potential to spread disease if medical waste is not managed properly. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained from 8 informants by conducting in-depth interviews and observations in May 2023 - April 2024 using qualitative research data analysis software. In the input aspect (1) Human Resources in the quantity aspect are sufficient, while the qualifications are not appropriate because they come from general administration. (2) Facilities and infrastructure are not sufficient and if there is damage, goods will be procured and reported to envinronmental health authority. Meanwhile, in the process aspect (3) Sorting is carried out by each waste producing poly unit by labeling the type of waste, date and poly, (4) The container used at the Putri Ayu Public Health Center meets the standards of Minister of Health Regulation Number 18 of 2020 (5) Transportation is carried out more than once every 2 days by PT Anggrek (6). Storage is carried out at TPS with a time span of 2-3 days at the latest. There are still input aspects that do not comply with standards (in the case of this research, namely the quality of human resources) causing disruption to process aspects, such as less than optimal management performance in managing medical waste in the container, transport and storage processes.

Will urban scale affect health services inequity? The empirical evidence from cities in China.

The equity of public resources triggered by city shrinkage is a global challenge. Significantly, the impact of city shrinkage on the allocation of health service resources needs to be better understood. This study explores the impact of population change on government investment and health service delivery in shrinking cities. Using data from China's Urban Statistical Yearbook (2010-2020), we employ regression discontinuity (RD) and fixed-effect models to examine the causal relationship between city shrinkage and health service provision. Shrinking cities show significant disparities in health resources, particularly in bed numbers (-1,167.58, p < 0.05) and doctor availability (-538.54, p < 0.05). Economic development (p < 0.01) and financial autonomy (p < 0.01) influence hospital bed distribution. Investments in public services (primary schools and teachers, p < 0.01) affect health resource delivery. Robustness tests support our results. This study reveals how city shrinkage disrupts health service provision and equity, establishing a causal relationship between city shrinkage/expansion and health resource allocation, emphasizing the imbalance caused by urban population changes. City expansion intensifies competition for health resources, while shrinking cities struggle to provide adequate resources due to government reluctance. Policymakers should adapt health resource allocation strategies to meet patient demands in changing urban landscapes.

Effects of Two Early Parenting Programmes on Child Aggression and Risk for Violence in Brazil: a Randomised Controlled Trial

Violence is a major public health problem globally, with the highest rates in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in the Americas and southern Africa. Parenting programmes in high-income countries can diminish risk for violence, by reducing risk factors such as child aggression and harsh parenting, and increasing protective factors such as child cognitive development and school readiness. However, there is critical need to identify low-cost programmes with replicable benefits that work in real-world LMICs contexts. A three-arm, randomised, single-blind trial evaluated effects of two low-cost, group-based parenting programmes recommended for LMICs (ACT: Raising Safe Kids; DBS: dialogic book-sharing) on child aggression (primary outcome), child development, parenting, maltreatment, and stress. Participants were 369 children with medium–high levels of aggression (mean age 3.1 years at baseline) in poor households. Interventions were implemented in city health and education services in southern Brazil. Maternal reports, filmed observations, child tasks, and hair cortisol were assessed at baseline, 1-month post-intervention, and 8-month follow-up. Intention-to-treat analyses compared each of ACT and DBS with a control group. Three hundred sixty-eight (99.7%) participants completed follow-up assessments 8 months after the interventions. There was no effect of ACT (standardised mean difference, SMD 0.11, 95% CI − 0.05, 0.27) or DBS (SMD 0.05, 95% CI − 0.11, 0.21) on the primary outcome of child aggression. ACT reduced harsh parenting behaviour post-intervention (SMD − 0.23; 95% CI − 0.46, − 0.01), but not at follow-up. DBS improved book-sharing practices at both time points (e.g., maternal sensitivity at follow-up SMD 0.33; 95% CI 0.08, 0.57). There were no benefits of either programme for other parenting, child development, or stress outcomes. Two parenting programmes in Brazil had small effects on parenting practices but did not reduce child aggression or several other important risk/protective factors for violence. Effective early interventions that reduce violence in real-world LMIC settings are highly desirable but may be challenging to achieve.

The effect of educational intervention based on health belief model on colorectal cancer screening behaviors

BackgroundColorectal cancer is the second most prevalent cause of death from malignancies globally. The present study was conducted targeting the influence of an educational intervention based on the health belief model (HBM) on colorectal cancer screening behaviors in people 50 years old and older.MethodsAll 134 samples were included in this quasi-experimental study from Fasa City Health Service Center, equal halves were random into experimental group and control group. The data collection tool was a questionnaire that contained questions on demographic variables, knowledge, and HBM constructs (perceived sensitivity, perceived intensity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, self-efficacy, and screening behaviors). Both groups answered the questionnaire before and two months following the intervention. There were six 90-minute instruction sessions for the intervention group. SPSS 22 and descriptive and analytical tests (independent t-test, paired t-test, and Chi-square test) were used for data analysis (P < 0.05).Results59 women and 75 men took part in this study. A majority of participants were married and had at least high school diploma. The findings indicated that the mean scores for knowledge, each of the HBM’s constructs, and cancer screening behaviors did not differ significantly from one another before the intervention between the test group and the control group. However, post the intervention, the intervention group exhibited a significant rise in all mentioned dimensions.ConclusionIn light of the outcomes, the application of the HBM on colorectal cancer screening behaviors in people 50 years and older was successful. This approach might serve as a helpful foundation for planning, carrying out, and overseeing colorectal cancer screening programs.

The Influence Factors Of Stunting Incidents In Toddler Ages 24-59 Months At Posyandu Melati 02

Background: Data from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) in 2022 from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the national stunting rate reached 21.6% from 24.45% in 2021 and fell to 2.8%. The stunting rate in Banten Province in 2021 will decrease from 4.5% to 20% from the previous 24.5%. According to the Tenger City Health Service (DinKes), the prevalence rate of stunting in the Tangerang city area is 15.3% in 2021. The aim is to determine the factors that influence the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24 - 59 months at Posyandu Melati 02.Research Methods: Sampling was carried out using quantitative analytical methods with a cross sectional study design.Research Result: Analysis of the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge and the incidence of stunting as much as 69.4% and good maternal knowledge as much as 30.6%. The relationship between maternal education level and the incidence of stunting was 18.2% and higher education level was 81.8%. The relationship between economic status and the incidence of stunting is 42.9% and high economic status is 57.1%. The relationship between giving exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting is 17.6% and not giving exclusive breast milk is 82.4%.Conclusion: Maternal knowledge, maternal education level, economic status and exclusive breastfeeding greatly influence the incidence of stunting.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Penerapan Metode Ovitrap dan Budidaya Tanaman Pengusir Nyamuk Sebagai Upaya Penanganan Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Kelurahan Tanjung Mas Kota Semarang

This service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of community members in handling dengue hemorrhagic fever through the ovitrap method and cultivating mosquito-repellent plants. The method of implementing this service uses empowerment with socialization and practical activities. This service establishes a partnership with Dian Nuswantoro University (UDINUS) in the form of Assisted Village Partners, Semarang City Health Service, and Bandarharjo Community Health Center providing support in the form of mentoring and speakers, and the Forest Plant Certification and Seedling Center (BSPTH) providing support in the form of 100 eucalyptus plant seeds. The evaluation instrument for this activity uses a pre-test and post-test. This service data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of this service show that community members have the knowledge and skills to deal with dengue hemorrhagic fever through the ovitrap method and cultivating mosquito-repellent plants in Tanjung Mas Village. This is proven by residents participating in the process of making Ovitrap tools and planting mosquito-repellent plants. There was a change in community knowledge from before the counseling was carried out to after the counseling was carried out (the score before the counseling was 35, and the score after the counseling was 50).

Banjar City Health Service employees are currently not showing maximum performance independence and proactivity. Employee performance can be influenced by emotional intelligence and work discipline. At the Banjar City Health Service, the social skills indicator (relationship management) shows that emotional intelligence is not yet at an optimal level. Additionally, there is a lack of efficiency in maintaining punctuality and adherence to schedules. The research was conducted using an explanatory survey methodology with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, using descriptive and regression analysis. Research findings show that (1) Emotional Intelligence has a good and big influence on employee performance within the Banjar City Health Service. Thus, there is a positive relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and the performance of Banjar City Health Service employees. (2) The level of work discipline has a beneficial and large influence on the performance of employees at the Banjar City Health Service. In other words, the more work discipline increases, the more employee performance will increase. (3) Emotional intelligence and work discipline have a good and big influence on the performance of Banjar City Health Service employees. Therefore, there is a positive relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and work discipline and employee performance at the Banjar City Health Service.

Analysis Of Factors Associated With The Occurrence Of Tuberculosis Treatment Dropout In The Work Area Of The Subulussalam City Health Office Year 2023

Tuberculosis (TB) poses a grave threat to those afflicted, contributing significantly to the global mortality rate. Caused by the infectious bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, TB primarily targets the lungs, with Indonesia ranking second in its prevalence worldwide. This study aims to scrutinize factors associated with TB treatment discontinuation within the Subulussalam City Health Service Work Area in 2023, employing a quantitative, cross-sectional approach. A sample of 203 TB patients under treatment within the area was subjected to logistic regression and multiple logistic regression analyses. Findings revealed a correlation between treatment discontinuation and factors such as inadequate knowledge (p = 0.00; OR = 27.81) and adverse drug reactions (p = 0.02; OR = 13.05). Recommendations include enhancing patient education on TB risks to bolster awareness and deter treatment abandonment, instituting recognition programs within health centers to incentivize treatment completion, and acknowledging the proactive role of healthcare personnel in facilitating patient adherence.

Low birth weight is a health problem that requires attention in developing countries. WHO defines LBW as the condition of a baby born weighing &lt;2500 grams. Causes of LBW include premature birth and maternal and fetal factors. This research aims to analyze the risk factors for LBW in toddlers. The research method is an observational and analytical approach, a cross-sectional Study. The sample is a portion of mothers who gave birth to LBW and non-LBW babies who were recorded in the medical records of the Gorontalo City Health Service working area. In 2023, there will be 225 people. The data analysis technique uses the chi-square statistical test. Relationship between Diet Quality and Nutritional Status among Adolescents

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the limit for adolescents is between 10 - 19 years of age. Nutritional status in adolescents can influence growth and development and continue into adulthood. Low diet quality is one of the direct causes of nutritional status problems in adolescents. Data from the Jambi City Health Service in 2021 shows 280 cases of malnutrition at the junior high school and equivalent level in Jambi City. This research aims to determine the relationship between diet quality and nutritional status in adolescents at junior high schools of SMPN 9 Jambi City. The design used in this research was quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was carried out at SMPN 9 Jambi City in May 2023. The population and sample in this research were students of SMPN 9 Jambi City, totaling 88 people. The sampling technique was purposive random sampling. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate. The highest frequency of diet quality was in the poor diet quality category, 52 respondents (59.1%). It can be concluded that a relationship exists between diet quality and nutritional status (p-value ≤ 0.05).

Transformational Leadership On Employee Innovative Work Behavior: The Role Of Knowledge Sharing Behavior

This article discusses direct influence testing of transformational leadership on employees innovative work behavior and the role of knowledge sharing behavior as a mediating variable. The study encompasses 115 participants from the Semarang City Health Service, and the data analysis was carried out using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS version 3 software. The results indicated a significant effect of TL on IWB and KSB. Another noteworthy finding revealed that KSB had a significant impact on IWB. Moreover, the study identified that TL and IWB can be partially mediated by KSB. The study holds both theoretical and practical implications.

Description of food hygiene and sanitation as well as the presence of Salmonella sp bacteria in dumpling snacks sold in the front area of SD Poasia District, Kendari City

Siomay snacks are one of the popular foods among the people in Poasia District, Kendari City. The implementation of hygiene and sanitation among handlers shows that it is still not good, especially in implementing hygiene in processing dumplings, thereby allowing bacterial contamination to occur which causes disease transmission. The 2021 Kendari City Health Service Data Report shows that typhoid fever ranks 9th out of the 10 largest cases with a total of 1,628 cases. The aim of this research is to determine the description of food hygiene and sanitation as well as the presence of Salmonella sp bacteria in dumpling snacks sold in the front area of ​​SD Poasia District, Kendari City in 2023. This research uses a Quantitative Descriptive type of research with a sampling technique using Total Sampling. The results of this research show that of the 10 dumpling samples sold in the front area of ​​the Poasia District Elementary School, Kendari City, there was 1 (10%) dumpling sample that was positive for Salmonella sp bacteria and 9 (90%) dumpling samples were negative for Salmonella sp bacteria. Of the 10 handlers, 4 (40%) of the siomay food handlers did not meet the requirements of RI Minister of Health Decree No. 942/MENKES/SK/VII/2003 and there are 6 (60%) handlers who meet the requirements of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Decree No. 942/MENKES/SK/VII/2003. The conclusion of this research is that in terms of the presence of bacteria, the quality of the siomay food is a small part that does not meet the requirements and in terms of the hygiene and sanitation of the handlers, the majority of it meets the requirements of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Decree No. 942/MENKES/SK/VII/2003 concerning Sanitary Hygiene for Snack Foods. The suggestion from this research is for handlers to further improve the application of sanitary hygiene in processing dumplings.

Occurrence and characteristics of elderly With Covid-19 in southern Brazil

This study aimed to describe the occurrence of COVID-19 in elderly patients treated at public health services in southern Brazil cities and their clinical and sociodemographic characteristics. This is a cross-sectional, observational, and retrospective study. From July 2020 to May 2021, medical records of elderly patients who underwent a test for COVID-19 at the molecular diagnostics laboratory of the University of Cruz Alta were selected. 310 elderly patients, with an average age of 60 to 99 years, were included in the study. Information was collected regarding the result of the RT-qPCR test, gender, symptoms, and comorbidities. We identified that 24.2% of the elderly evaluated in the study had a positive molecular diagnosis for COVID-19. The average age of the sample studied was 69 years (±8.89). Females had a higher proportion of positive cases (69.3%) compared to males (30.7%) (p=0.017). A higher proportion of individuals infected with SARS-Cov2 among those who reported cough, fever &gt;37°C and pre-existing cardiovascular diseases (p = 0.028; 0.015; 0.017 respectively) was also identified. Learning the clinical and sociodemographic profile of the elderly with COVID-19 can contribute to strategies for care and prevention of the disease in this group. The study findings indicate that greater attention should be given to the elderly with heart diseases and those who have fevers and coughs.

ANALYSIS OF POLICY IMPLEMENTATION REGARDING THE POSBINDU NCDs PROGRAM IN THE WORKING AREA OF KAPASA PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER, MAKASSAR CITY

Purpose: POSBINDU NCDs is a community forum to carry out early detection, monitoring, and follow-up on NCD risk factors independently and continuously. The research purpose is to analyze the implementation of the POSBINDU NCDs Program policy in the working area of Kapasa Public Health Center. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data were analyzed using content analysis (content analysis). Interviews were conducted with 8 informants including 3 key informants and 5 supporting informants. Research Results: Communication between implementers was carried out through socialization, several cadres were not active, and the budget was not maximized so the facilities were inadequate for places and equipment for medical check-ups. Several SOP activities have not been implemented and only a few implementers support the disposition or attitude of and are less committed to implementing the program. Conclusion: In implementing the Posbindu NCDs program policy, the implementer's socialization activities have not gone well so the target coverage has not been achieved in the program. Human resources are still lacking both in terms of quality and quantity and the budget is inadequate so there are no medical check-up tools and facilities are not yet available. The SOP is a procedure for implementing the program based on the implementing SOP from the Makassar City Health Service. Specific suggestions for the Kapasa Public Health Center to be more highly committed to the program by ensuring appropriate target coverage.

Method: This Research Aims To Carry Out An Analysis Of Health Human Resource Needs Planning At The Kendari City Health Laboratory Service Technical Implementation Unit. This Type Of Research Is Qualitative Descriptive Research With A Case Study Approach. The Informants In This Study Were 6 People, 2 Informants At The Service Technical Implementation Unit Health Laboratory And 4 Informants At The Kendari City Health Service. Results And Conclusions: The Research Results Show That In Planning Health Human Resources Needs There Is No Standard Operating Procedure, There Is No Policy In The Form Of A Planning Team Decree, There Is No Budget In Human Resources Planning, The Availability Of Data And Information Systems In The Form Of The Human Resources Application And The Renbut Application, And Using The Workload Analysis Method In Calculating Human Resources Needs.

Old age is said to be the final stage of development in the human life cycle which experiences various health problems and is at high risk of dangerous diseases. Health problems that occur in the elderly in general are a decrease in organ function, changes in lifestyle, diet and physical activity which are often the main factors in degenerative diseases including hypertension which disrupts blood flow. This hypertension often occurs in the elderly where the blood pressure is at the upper limit ( Systole) is more than 140 mmHg and lower limit blood pressure (diastole) is more than 90 mmHg. One non-pharmacological treatment that can improve the flow of oxygen in the blood is laughter therapy. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of laughter therapy using comedy videos on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the Tiban Baru Community Health Center, Batam City. The Batam City Health Service noted that hypertension occurs more frequently in elderly people aged 60-70 years and over with the highest number being 9,282 people at the Tiban Baru Community Health Center, Batam City. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design without control. The sample provided used the purpose sampling method with a total research sample of 20 respondents. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of laughter therapy on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension.

Perancangan Sistem Informasi Geografis Berbasis Web Untuk Pendataan Penderita Gizi Buruk

The representation process for mapping malnutrition rates in the Waingapu City District area does not yet use computer technology, so the process of monitoring malnutrition rates in each region is still not presented well. This certainly makes it difficult for cadres and the Health Service to monitor the rate of malnutrition in the Waingapu City District Area. Therefore, it is necessary to build an information system that is able to provide data, both in the form of graphs and maps, for mapping malnutrition rates in the Waingapu City District area. The design and development of this information system was carried out using data collection methods and direct interviews with the Waingapu City Health Service, by looking for other references related to similar research. The aim of designing a web-based geographic information system for data collection on malnutrition sufferers is to help the community and the Health Service in monitoring and handling cases of malnutrition in the Waingapu City District area. This Geographic Information System will display malnutrition data based on sub-districts using color polygons as signs that provide information about safe conditions or conditions that require further treatment. The method used in creating a website is waterfall and goes through six stages, namely: the Reguirement Analysis (Analysis), Design (design), Development (coding), Testing (trial), and maintenance (maintenance) stages and system testing is carried out using black box.
